To help promote activity in Culture & Media, it gives me great pleasure to introduce the Power of Ten Emblem Contest! ‘What’s the Power of Ten Emblem Contest?’ I hear you say? Why, I’ll tell you what the Power of Ten Emblem Contest is:

Members who post ten successful threads in the Culture & Media forum will get a sexy, sexy emblem all to themselves. Members who feel they have achieved this should PM me (Mr Cat Dog) with evidence, and I’ll assess your claim.

Simples! Now, here are a few extra guidelines just so people are fully aware of everything:

• I AM THE ARBITER OF WHAT CONSTITUTES SUCCESS: You might think you have a successful thread, but it’s my decision at the end of the day; if I reject your submission, your cries will fall on deaf ears, unfortunately.
• To avoid rejection think about the following: Do your threads have a good discussion topic? Do your threads have a reasonable number of replies? Have your threads managed to stay alive after a few days? Use your common sense, basically.
• DON’T just post lots of threads one after another then PM me in the hopes that they’ll eventually become successful. That’ll just leave a heavily cluttered forum and that is not the objective of this contest. I’m not expecting to start giving out this emblem for a while yet, so spread your threads out.
• Help each other out! If you see a member who you think is participating in the contest, post stuff in their threads. Hopefully they’ll post stuff in yours as well: everybody wins! Reciprocity can go a long way in situations like these.
