i'm new here and i'm quite lost.......i'm getting diamond or pearl tomorrow and I heard that there was a new online battling system is this true??

Uh-huh. If you have a wireless router, like, for a laptop or something, you can set up your DS to go online, and battle/trade people you know from anywhere, as long as you have exchanged friend codes with them.
But um..I'm not really too sure if you posted your question in the right part of this forum =P
