U-turn

OR Forretress @ leftovers (physical wall/rapid spinning spiker
(Impish: 252 def. 252 hp
spikes
rapid spin
gyro ball

Absol @ Choice Scarf/Life Orb (physical sweeper)
super luck: jolly
252 atk, 252 spd, 6 hp
night slash
psycho cut
aerial ace/Slash (for power)
swords dance/Stone Edge.

I remember that Critical-Hit damage doesn't increase with attack boost or decrease with opponent's defense boost. Still a useful move Sword Dance is, but I am not sure Absol have what it takes to last long enough to utilize it.

Togekiss@leftovers (annoyer)//(BPer)- which one would be most suited for my team?
serene grace
Bold: 252hp 152 def. 100 sp def. 6 sp atk.
air slash //yawn
aura sphere //nasty plot
thunder wave//wish
roost//Baton pass

Charizard@choice scarf (special sweeper)
Modest: 252 sp atk. 128 spd 128 hp
dragon pulse
air slash
EQ
Flamethrower

Milotic@flame orb (sponge)
Calm: 252 HP, 104 Sp. Def, 152 Def
hypnosis/Mirror Coat/Confuse Ray (both for better accuracy)
recover
ice beam
surf

Good enough.

Rhyperior @leftovers (tank)
adamant: 252hp 128 Def, 128 attack
stone edge/Rock Slide (accuracy again)
EQ
Megahorn
substitute

post any suggestions you might have and ill think about it. thanks in advance

I assume this is a signgle battle team. Needs a Sp. Sweeper and a Physical Wall. This team is too weak to handle the likes of a Hydro Pumping and Earthquaking Salamence and a Leaf Blading Leafeon.

sounds to me like i need Weavile instead of absol...ergh. i using something so expected
charizard os supposed to be my special sweeper, but im contemplating replacing it with porygon-Z (another overused one..ergh)- edit: nvm that- then i would have an even more weakness to fighting

Absol is too slow to sweep. Weavile on the other hand only has Choice Scarfin Hera and Aerodactyl as a threat in addition to walls >_>

BrainDamage

absol replaced :\ thats the right moveset right?

It's pretty much standard, except instead of Crush Claw, replace it with Aerial Ace. If you get the opportunity for a boost, then Swords Dance/Agility.

BrainDamage

hmm. someone else said in a different thread to use crush claw instead of aerial ace cause most fighting moves dont come from fight type and that most come from focus blast from alakazam gengar and gardevour

EDIT: still need suggestions people

a support togekiss could do nicely (nasty plot/wish pass)

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Bold
252 Hp/128 Def/128 SDef
-Nasty Plot
-Wish
-Baton Pass
-Air Slash

most people like the paraflinch (hax) togekiss.

BrainDamage

what do you mean by hax?

im thinking about replacing charizard with gengar:

gengar @??? (black sludge?)
modest/timid
252 sp atk 252 spd 6 hp
hypnosis
shadow ball
focus blast
dream eater

some people think that a 60% chance of flinching and a 30% chance of not attacking is hax. meaning its cheap.

but for gengar.. i use this.

Gengar @ Wide Lens
Timid
252 SAtk/252 Spd/4 Hp
-Hypnosis
-Shadow Ball
-Focus Blast
-Energy Ball

some people like tbolt but i have electivire so i use energy ball for coverage

BrainDamage
August 16th, 2007, 09:47 PM
yeah- cause i have a big water coverage issue...would that gengar be better than charizard? i now definately predict issues if against a milotic

most people like the paraflinch (hax) togekiss.

That explains why Togekiss is banned in competetive play. @.@

It isn't hax, its only hax when holding Kings Rock.

^ I apologize if I miss the sarcasm, but Togekiss is allowed and abused.

As for Weavile, unless I am mistaken, you need Emerald to get such a move set (Ice Punch & Crush Claw Zangoose) without the help of a Smeargle.

Weavile @ Focus Sash/Life Orb
- Ice Punch
- Screech/Swords Dance
- Night Slash/
- Crush Claw/Brick Break/Return

I smell an Aggron weakness. :cheeky:
Jordan.

hmmm well crush claw reduces defense....but i kinda need swords dance. and i need brick break just for general sweeping

if only people would stop complaining about kings rock togekiss....

EDIT: Still in need of suggestions...hmmm...i need aragorn

Weavile really can't take much of a hit, so I'd use a choice band...maybe. Just make sure you have night slash, ice punch, and brick break. Just use the best physical moves you can get on it. Choice Band is your friend.

thomas, make your own thread with this team and we'd be happy to rate it. Until then, we are focusing on Naos' team.

Weavile@Focus Sash
Trait: Pressure
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 ATK/ 252 SPEED/ 4 HP

Ice Punch
Swords Dance
Night Slash
Brick Break

Screech and other moves that lower the OPPONENT'S stats are horrible on sweeping.

^Standard Focus sash set.

i thought of another thing- a forretress possibly to replace scizor- look back and see what would work better. i also still dont know whether to use paraflinch togekiss or BP togekiss

bossman34

i love foretress in 3rd gen. spike spinner. but in 4th gen its probably something like this

Forretress @ Leftovers/Light Clay
Relaxed
252 Hp/252 Def/4 Atk
-Gyro Ball
-Spikes
-Rapid Spin
-Light Screen/Rest

i like light screen because of his only weakness being fire.
