K well please don't post any egg moves, Yanmega is already at level 43. Here are its standings as of now:
EV Spread: 252 Sp. Atk, 252 speed, 4 HP
Ability: Speed Boost
Modest Nature

Moveset as of now (haven't taught it anything yet):

Quick Attack
AncientPower
Slash
Double Team

So, any good ideas for it's actual competitive moveset?

Protect to be safe for a turn and maybe see what your opponent will do, also the Speed Boost.

yanmega without hypnosis?? sorry, you should just breed another and start over. yanmega without hypnosis is a bad yanmega. your moveset suck terribly also. double team is illegal, btw. and it's funny you're reluctant to use protect because yanmega is a special sweeper yet you want to give it double team.

i don't want to be harsh, but i don't have much of a choice here. oh, and level 43 is nothing. i can get my pokemon to 43 within two hours, and that includes ev training(pokerus, power items, and lucky egg are extremely useful). just breed another. a good moveset is more valuable than high level anyway.

now that's a decent yanmegaLOL dude that's just what it's moveset is currently... I haven't taught it TM's or anything yet, but it's now at level 55 with bug buzz and air slash... I really don't feel like breeding a new one since it's not female and it'd take me another year to get a modest one so I'll go with Psychic and Protect now.

i don't care if it doesn't have tm moves because tm's can be taught any time, but yanmega must have hypnosis. again, level's won't matter because it's easy to level up, and in competitive battling there's always the level 100 cap. moveset, ev's, nature are way more important than levels.
