Spiritomb and Sableye are also some pretty good ones to use in 4th gen.

Gengar...really, the classic ghost pokemon just like dragonite is the classic dragon. Gengar is the epitomy of cool.

Gengar is ghost/poison though, not a pure ghost.

Banette! :D 329 attack. :cool: Basically the only ghost type who can use Shadow Ball effectively.

329 attack is not that great >.> and shadow ball is special now. Gengar is a great special sweeper.

In 3rd gen, banette couldn't use shadow ball well because it would get OHKOed before it could fight back with that attack. Gengar is /THE/ king of ghosts, being the first final evo ghost ever, and probably the most powerful.

Spiritomb is a massive tank in battle when used properly, and Drifblim makes an excellent Baton Passer. Gengar is a Special powerhouse, so there you go. Half a team of Ghost-types.

Banette is really cool, but it doesn't have the speed, movepool, or overall power to sweeper many common threats, let alone a whole team. That's what Gengar, /THE/ king of ghosts is for.

Finally a thread about Ghost Pokemon. I go with my favorite but that won't be right so I'll go with my 3rd favorite and that will be Giratina because of it being a legendary with high stats. but then its Drifblim and then Banette ^^
