I'm still debating this one. I personally think that it wasn't a Dragonite, even though it looks to be that way, because Bill had already stated that 150 pokemon had been discovered and even Mewtwo had showed up on the list. Plus, the "thing" was taller than the lighthouse. Yet it looks like a dragonite on steroids. What do you guys think?

Hmm.. I think I remember what you're talking about, but I can't guite remember it. Can you tell me what episode it's from?

Episode 13 - Mystery At The Lighthouse

I think it is a Dragonite, it looks exactly the same, but its a hell of a size! Dragonite is a pretty big Pokemon as it is, but it was taller than the top of the lighthouse! Steroid abuse at its most!

It was a giant Dragonite, I mean look at the sillouette and you will notice the body, the weird antenae, and such.

It was a Pokemon from the Island of the Giant Pokemon and got seperated from all the other giant Pokemon

But they were robots. How would it have responded to Bill when he asked it to stay, and it shook its head before leaving?

I thought it was obvious that it was an oversized Dragonite... You can get people that are really short or tall, so I suppose you get that with animals and Pokemon too.

it wasn't a dragonite, it was probably a machine with feelings (hey it is a TV show)

I remember that episode, it was a Dragonite. If you look closely you will see it has the figure of a Dragonite even through it was dark. That was bigger then the average dragonite through.

It was definatly a Dragonite, except its eyes did gleam bright yellow the entire time. I'm not sure if a normal Dragonite's eyes glow yellow at night. =/

Just because it was big doesn't mean it wasn't a pokemon. It was a Dragonite, only a huge one.

I know it looks like a Dragonite but then why would Bill say that it hasn't been discovered yet and people had already known of Dragonites?

Maybe because Bill thought it was some other pokemon by its unusual size?

I guess, too bad nothing ever became of it. I hate fillers, always leaves questions unanswered, not to mention they don't serve much in the plot.

Well I guess that explains it, but why would Bill be all like "Gee what could it be? I've already discovered 150 pokemon and that clearly has the shape of a Dragonite but I don't know what it is."

hmm, i always thought it was a dragonite, except for a few months ago when i watched the episode again and had my doubts. One: Why the hell was it that damn big? Two: There have been sites of other Dragonite, they said that Drake(the orange island leader drake) had been around for a long time, without anyone defeating him, and his signature pokemon since then had been a Dragonite! So, MAYBE, and i'm just spit ballin here, maybe it was a Mew that tranformed into a Dragonite, and just made itself that big....Like i said, maybe.

Bill is a straight up fool, of course.

it was a dragonite that learned growth by breeding and used it a bit to much

hmm, thats a good guess

i'd say it's from the Island of Giant pokemon now, and it flew there, then dissapperead

I think that your Mew idea is more realistic strange as it seems. The giant Pokemon were just robots, so they wouldn't have the intelligence to know when its being attacked (Team Rocket idiots), and when Bill asked it to stay it shook its head and left. Unless its got incredible AI, it was probably just a very oversized Dragonite or possibly Mew, but just an oversized Dragonite more likely I think.

Like Beret said though, Bill is a fool for being stupid enough to not know what it is. I knew what it looked like when I first saw the episode, and I'd only been watching Pokemon a few weeks then!

Or the dragonite could of been an artists misconception at the time, they probably didn't know how big it really was.

maybe that Dragonite was an ancient PKMN that already roamed the earth before humans did.

A good example was when that selfish president in the Orange Islands abandoned his Bulbasaur, and years passed, and it grew larger than normal Bulbasaurs...

I don't know. It's just what I think...

thats just a huge Dragonite probably on steroids like what someone else said. Not all Pokemon are going to be there right size. For example the big Magikarp in the Orange Island episode called : the joy of Pokemon?
