It also can raise attack. But it depends on the pokemon you come up against, and i think it is by one stage?

Porygon-Z has two ability: Download and Adaptibility. You talking about Download, depending on the pokemon you face on release, it increases from the strongest stat of your opponent.

One level I'm quite sure, to answer your question.

yeah, everything's been covered about download i suppose. but i have to add that adaptibility is better because it makes triattack even more powerful. you're not always going to get to download the stat you want, but with adaptibity, it's like downloading special attack whenever you use tri attack.

No, it's not. Adaptability only makes the STAB multiplier increase to 2, not by 1.5. Download is infinately better if you have something you can get in on with lower SDef.

With all due respect, Adaptability is certainly better. Has anyone tried using Hyper Beam with a Porygon-Z? Its a total killer :P

It's easy to use Hyper Beam, then the next thing that comes in is a Fighting Type, thus eliminating your sweeper.

Which is why Tri Attack is a much more viable option.

its easy, but nothing saves it from .... being hyper beam. booo. download is a far better ability for the set i use, but with wise glasses i guess you could make a set for adaptability

It will pretty much go like this:

Trainer withdrew Raichu (Rachu is awesome.)!
Trainer sent out Heatran!
Porygon-Z used Hyper Beam!
It's not very effective...

Then you die.

He's right. Hyperbeam, along with moves like that [Frenzy Plant, etc] are awful. And Raichu is awesome, BTW.

ah. hyper beam and all its elemental variations are terrible moves.
