lol honestly im not even sutre i just trade for them so i dont have ot do it. i found a thing that tells u how but it was too complicated. search for it on google. you have to like beat certain pokemon and each one gives different ev points in each stat. u get up to 510 and every 4 is equal to one stat point.

EV trained means that you defeat a certain amount of a certain pokemon and get extra stat points for it. For example, a Floatzel's speed usually goes up by about three. Defeat four Zubats and it will go up by four at the next level. There's an EV guide here:
