Hey everyone! Im doing some team fixings as my other team didnt work out as well as I had hoped. Im changing 3 Pokemon, and some smaller rrevisions to the others.

Torkoal-Iron Ball
Relaxed-252 Defense, 252 HP, 4 Attack
Gyro Ball
Rapid Spin
EQ
Explosion

Rapid Spinner/Gyro Baller. Ouch.

Gallade-Choice Scarf
Adamant-252 attack, 252 speed, 4 HP
Leaf Blade
Night Slash
Close Combat
Psycho Cut

Physical Sweeper. Bang Slam Ouch.

Dusknoir-Leftovers
Carefull-Ev help?
Shadow Sneak
Will"O"Wisp
Ice Punch
Pain Split

Special Wall. Ice Punch needed for specsmence and such.

Aerodactyl-Focus Sash
Jolly-252 attack, 252 speed, 4 HP
Stealth Rock
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Ice Fang

Its my SRer, and has served me well. And I prefer Rock Slide to Stone Edge because of accuracy.

Gengar-Focus Sash
Modest-252 Special attack, 252 speed, 4 HP
Hypnosis
Energy Ball
Shaodw Ball
Focus Blast

Special Sweeper. Not working out as well with Wide Lens, to fragile.

Tangrowth-Leftovers
Bold-252 defense, 252 HP, 4 attack
Leech Seed
Stun Spore
Knock Off
Power Whip

My status inflictor/physical wall, I love it.

And help would be great!

Well it all looks good except.
I'd use TB instead of Energy Ball on Gengar. Not so sure about Ice punch on Dusknoir but I don't see it as absolutely horrible.

Dusknoir EV's
252 HP/200 Sp.Def/56 Atk-I'm no expert but since your looking for some power I'd give it a couple Atk EV's at the expense of it's amazing Sp.Def and not its horrid HP.

I'm not familiar with Tangrowth either.
And I'd still recomend Wide Lens on Gengar.

Just noticed something Bold Tangrowth?? O you fixed that.

Alright... the biggest problem here is your Gengar.

Don't make him Modest. He's in the same ballpark as Alakazam, where he does SO much more when he's able to outrun the enemy. Timid puts him at more of an advantage than Modest would. I would never use a Modest Gengar, or a Modest Alakazam. They're too fragile not to outrun the opponent.

Another thing, a Gengar without Thunderbolt is like a day without rain (and I love the rain!). If you want to use Hypnosis, replace Energy Ball. You could go for Choice Specs or even Choice Scarf, and run:

- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Energy Ball
- Focus Blast

Focus Blast with Choice Specs behind it really hurts Blissey.

You also may want to use a Fire move on Torkoal, for STAB and because Skarmory would see him as a free switch.

need a bigger spread of status inflicting moves rather than centering them all on tangrowth, just in case you come against an unexpected fire move

Umm, power whip is not a special attack. So a bold nature and no attack ev's means it will not cause much damage.

Hey everyone! Im doing some team fixings as my other team didnt work out as well as I had hoped. Im changing 3 Pokemon, and some smaller rrevisions to the others.

Torkoal-Leftovers
Relaxed-252 Defense, 252 HP, 4 Attack
Gyro Ball
Rapid Spin
EQ/Overheat
Explosion/Overheat

Rapid Spinner/Gyro Baller. Ouch.

Gallade-Choice Scarf
Adamant-252 attack, 252 speed, 4 HP
Leaf Blade
Night Slash
Close Combat
Psycho Cut

Physical Sweeper. Bang Slam Ouch.

Looks Fine

Dusknoir-Leftovers
Carefull-252 HP / 76 DEF / 180 SPDEF
Shadow Sneak
Will"O"Wisp
Ice Punch
Pain Split

Special Wall. Ice Punch needed for specsmence and such.

All well and good coping with Specs Mence, but Taunt Gyarados will laugh at you if this is your last pokemon, which is why Thunderpuch is standard, ill leave this for you to decide

Aerodactyl-Focus Sash
Jolly-252 attack, 252 speed, 4 HP
Stealth Rock
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Ice Fang

Its my SRer, and has served me well. And I prefer Rock Slide to Stone Edge because of accuracy.

Fine, Stone Edge actully doesnt have that bad accuracy, i suggest you use it.

Gengar-Focus Sash/Petaya Perry
Timid-252 Special attack, 252 speed, 4 HP
Hypnosis/Substitute
Thunderbolt
Shaodw Ball
Focus Blast/Hidden Power Ice

Special Sweeper. Not working out as well with Wide Lens, to fragile.

Mock Bolt-Beaming FTW

Tangrowth-Leftovers
Impish - 252 defense, 252 HP, 4 attack
Leech Seed
Sleep Powder
Knock Off
Power Whip

My status inflictor/physical wall, I love it.

Good but Sleep Powder>Stun Spore, it causes more switches, which you can take advantage of with Knock Off

And help would be great!
Changes are in bold (Filler Filler)

IMPISH Nature on Tangrowth with Power Whip Please

Gallade needs Stone Edge to counters it's biggest threat of flying types. You should prbably remove Night slash, because it already has Psycho Cut to deal with Gengars and other ghost threats like Mismagius and Drifblim will be killed with ease by Stone Edge. Energy Ball isn't needed on Gengar.

Gengar@Focus Sash
TIMID ~ Always
252 Sp.Attack 252 Speed 4 HP

Wide Lens for Hypnosis and Focus Blast please. =/

Focus sash can actually work for those who likt to take their chances. But sandstream = death.

But 4 HP is another thing. He has low defenses and HP, with 4 HP, he's not surviving anything. What do you except him to survive, Jimmyray?

That's kind of the point of focus sash...to survive hits it normally couldn't take.

I meant Impoish Tangrowth XD thats what mine is already. And Stone Edges accuracy is 80, thats not that great. I prefer accuracy over power, thats just my strategy. And Gofre I have Will "O" Wisp on Dusknoir also. But revised team now would be

No, no you can't.
Re-read what Iron Ball does and use some logic.

That means: If YOU'RE holding a really, really, really, REALLY, heavy Iron Ball, and the enemy is flying in the air, who's the one who's stuck on the ground?

Then iron ball would have no upside, except making you slow...but really, a 0 IV and relaxed does that to you :/

Really...but yeah, lefties is probably the best option for the steel snake anyways.

I have found that the entire purpose for Gallade's Psycho Cut was designed for Weezing O_o

I just grabbed it, Stien Edge makes more sense in the end, and Iron Ball makes flying.levitating Pokemon vulnerable to ground moves, see this is off serebii

Iron ball-Lowers users speed and makes LEvitating Pokemon and Flying Pokemon be hit by ground moves. So Iron ball could make me hit flying types with EQ.

Iron Ball does that to YOUR Pokemon, not the opponent's :\ Use common-sense XD

Mismagius is far too fragile to survive a STABed psycho cut from gallade. Drifblim...yeah, psycho cut does not so much, but still a decent amount. Not anything great AT ALL, but decent. Jimmyray has a lot to learn, but is no n00b (not to say you said that, just pointing it out). It's personal preference.

So leftovers on Torkoal then? Bleeugh, I HATE breeding, stupid IVs, and stupid not finding adamant ralts, I have a Jolly one with awesome IV's, but the wrong ability, so im gonna keep breeding.

MewthreeXL
October 18th, 2007, 04:02 PM
It doesn't matter about the ability, because Gallade only has Steadfast.

My Gallade is Adamant, but I suppose Jolly is alright.
