I notice that there is one for the other two generations of games (FR/LG/R/S/E and D/P), so why not make one for this generation? Sure, not many people that i know of actually play these games any more, but for those few who do, it could be fun.

Unfortunatly, i can't actually post anything to do with my jouney here at the minute, as the internal battery in my GBA has run out, and i don't have enough money to replace it. But that won't stop me from commenting on other people's jouneys!

I started Red again. I chose Charmander as my starter, beat Brock, and I just got through Mt. Moon. Just passed Nugget bridge in Cerulean City and I'm on my way to see Bill. So far my team consists of Charmeleon, Beedrill, Pidgey, Jigglypuff, Zubat, and Geodude. Charmeleon's level 24 and I've been trying to train my Beedrill so he learns some better moves. I evolved him from a Kakuna that only knew harden so he didn't have any attack moves when he evolved.

I've recently started a new game in my Blue version. I'm just about to challenge the Pewter City Gym, and I have four Pokemon that I currently use in battle:

A bit after golden rod city in Crystal. Practiced scumming for a max stats breeding Eevee.

Turns out a Eevee you get from Bill must have the following traits to a max stats breeder:
*Will be level 20 of course.
*Can be male or female, although being female would save a BUNCH of time later.
*Must have 31 defense.
*It's special stats must be:
**29 special attack and 37 special defense OR
**25 special attack and 33 special defense AND
***27 special attack and 35 special defense after leveling up with a rare candy

I was impatient confirming the rare candy thing, so I gamesharked. Then my breeder egg hatched into a very not shiny Pichu for epic fail so now I'm going to restart.

I'm using an emulator for now. I REALLY want a gameboy and a copy of crystal. I've been asking everyone I know if they'd like to sell those. My roommate was like "are you kidding me, I value that thing more than my DS" *sigh*

Looked back at my silver version today. 150 hours, and 53 minuetes. I completed it early last year, and really haven't touched it since. Then I realized that I don't remeber much of it, aside from the plot, and running around on the ship endlessly trying to level up my guys....I had a celebi in that thing, and I'm not evan sure where it came from. So since my school is closed for the rest of the week, I figured I would pick up gold and try to beat it. Got my totodile, and so far have defeated falkner... I still think he is the easiest of the begining gym leaders in any version.

Of course, I started out with Pikachu, I captured a Caterpie then evolved it into a Butterfree, which pretty much beat Brock with Confusion. Then I went into Mt. Moon. I found and captured a Sanshrew also got a Zubat which I late depostited into the PC. If I ever start playing it again, which I probably will since this is getting me wanting to play xD, I'll be going up Nugget bridge. ^^;

I've reached Ilex forest, almost only using Chikorita. But in order to beat Bugsy, i had to evolve it :(
but the only pokémon I have that can learn Cut, is Bayleef! And i don't want to spoil my strongest pokémon with a HM...
so now I'm hunting in Ilex and Union cave for a pokémon that can learn the move, and take me past that stupid, tiny, cuttable tree... can oddish do it?

My "team" is only Bayleef, and a little bit Slowpoke and a tiny bit Hoothoot.

In Crystal, just beat the Elite Four, and arrived in Kanto. I used a cheat code to get the Poke Flute song on the radio to move the Snorlax, used a Heavy Ball and got me a new Snorlax. So I got Snorlax abit early thanks to my cheat codes^.^. I got through Diglett's Cave, and walked down Route 2, ran through Viridian City and ran to Pallet Town. I surfed down to Cinnabar Island and found Gary, brought him back to the gym so I can challenge him. Fly'ed to Pallet and headed up fighting the trainers along the way. Now it was time to defeat my old rival Gary^^, so the battle began. My team were as follows:

Worst thing ive ever done was cathing Suicune on Crystal (ages ago) with one Ultra Ball!!! Well, i hear you say, "Well thats good!", well not quite.

I had a battery pack in on my GameBoy Color and the pack inserted in the back, and a cable from it ran into the bottom port on the GBC. Well after the battle I hadnt saved, like a dumbass, and was twisting the cable as I was playing. Then, for some reason, I pulled the cable out, and after ressetting, i realised i was saved before the battle with Suicune. I mean, FFS!

UK batteries, from under £2 to upto £4. Mine cost £1.85, 3 for £5.55 that is, but I bought the CR2032, as they last longer than the CR2025, but will still fit in the battery compartment without bulging the cart casing.

I beat Bellsprout Tower a while ago (forgot when). But anyway, today, I beat Falkner (who is an insanely hot gym leader :P) and beat some trainers down a path leading to Union Cave. I've beat three trainers in Union Cave, but the Cave journey is not over yet. Then I saved.

I managed to find my old Gameboy Colour, which i was going to sell on Ebay, but luckly didn't. Therefore, i've started a new game on Silver, and it's awsome. I've forgotten how cool the second generation games are!

Anyways, i managed to beat the Elite 4 with my whole party under level 40! (Admittedly, the only one who managed to survive to the end was my Lapras with HP in the red zone, but that's not the point!). Now im in Kanto, and i was wondering where i could find a Houndour, as i'm hopeing to replace my starter with one, but i can't seem to find it anywhere. I know you have to find them at night, but i've searched anywhere, and there's not a trace.

I decided to whip out my Silver version about a month ago after not playing it for nearly a year and a half and the experience was strange. First, on the title screen With Lugia flying, the Lugia was orange and everything else was silver. Then when I went into the main menu that gives you the option to continue, start a new game or whatever, the bottom right of the screen was green, but everything else was fine. I said continue and it seemed that I last saved outside the Pokemon Center in Mahogany Town. I flew to Olivine City, the screen was blue on the right half and orange on the right half. The game refused to let my character move when I pressed the direction buttons so I turned it off.

I guess that's what happens when your game gets attacked by dust for eighteen months straight.

Been playing Gold furiously via ROM after finally getting a computer in my room. Just beat the Elite 4 after murdering everyone with a L56 Kadabra (all 3 elemental punches + Psychic). After that, in marathon fashion I did everything I could to make the Eevee I got from Bill evolve into an Umbreon, levelled it up from 20 to about 28 through the EXP share, then 28 to 44 through battling. Finally, about to give up, it was almost morning when I gave in and used a Rare Candy on it, and congratulations, your Eevee evolved into an Umbreon.

Well, I picked up my old Silver game which was complete but for some bizarre reason I had no save data. I looked on Youtube for Silver/Gold/Crystal glitches and I found the glitch to get all 3 starters.

So I have all 3 starters now. Off to beat Falkner + Get 3 starters in Crystal because Gold's already finished.

EDIT: My Silver game is stuffed, it automatically deletes the game data. Anyways in Crystal I used the 3 starter glitch and cloned them to see if you could clone in Crystal and I succeeded but I released them. Off to beat Falkner with my 3 starter Pokemon!

EDIT II: Beat Falkner and Bugsy. Got Togepi, Odd Egg and evolved Chikorita into Bayleef. Just a question, could I clone the egg? And currently in Goldenrod.

EDIT III: Beat Whitney, Morty, Chuck and Jasmine (Currently in 7th gym). Beat the Mahogany Team Rocket Hideout. Evolved Bayleef into Meganium. Currently Lv. 42. Stole Abra and Wobbefet using cloning glitch. Making money cloning a nugget I just got. My Odd Egg turned out to be an unshiny DUMB Smoochum. I wanted a shiny, at least an Elekid. Oh, and I caught the Shiny Gyarados. I LOVE THE CLONING GLITCH!!!.

EDIT IV: Beat Pryce, Clair, got the Masterball (Now I have 10), beat the Elite 4. Beat Lt. Surge, Sabrina and Misty in Kanto and found the Machine Part for the generator. Oh yeah, I got Suicune, (Lv. 42) and my Meganium is level 58 (or 59, I can't remember). Just remembered. I mucked up the cloning glitch and now Box 3 containing my Meganium (A different one), Shiny Gyaradose and another pokemon (not an important one) is mucked up. So I have to trade the Shiiny Gyaradose from Gold, clone it, and trade it back.

EDIT V: Beat (probably not in the right order) Erika, Blaine, Janine, Blue and Brock. Yay, all of the badges. I unlocked Mt. Silver, but..... Red is gonna kill me. =[.

Well, since my brother won't let me use his Pokemon Blue copy, I downloaded the rom and started my adventure. I used thethethethe's toolbox to obtain the program which changes the starter pokemon. I used it so I could get Mew (Even though I could of done the Mew Glitch) and made my rival use an Alakazam at the start. The only reason I made him have one (even though it went straight back to a Squirtle after the battle in the lab) is to gain more EXP points. I went straight to Lv.8! Then I got all gym badges, bet the Elite 4, cloned, Master Balls and Rare Candies. I decided I should try and Solo the Elite 4 with my Mew. So eventually I soloed the Elite 4 while getting Lv.100. (I didn't use any rare candies on Mew, just some Stat Boosters and 2 PP UP's) Took me about half an hour. I have all of the legendaries, and soloed the Elite 4 about 11 times includong my first solo metioned above. I remember the time when my brother was 8 and I was about 6, we heard about a glitch that if you soloed the Elite 4 250 times with a pokemon, Prof. Oak will give you a Togepi. Sadly we believed it and we didn't get Togepi, but nevertheless, me and my brother soloed the Elite 4 250 times. Anyways, R/B/Y are great games.

After restarting my Yellow, I beat Giovanni in his gym with the team in my sig. I don't feel too comfortable going to the Elite Four just yet, so I plan on upgrading my movesets and maybe even leveling up.

I chose Chikorita as my starter in Crystal, because I didn't want to go the easy way with the other two. Now I've played for some hours and beaten Bugsy. Butterfree seems to be the strongest on my team, but that Pokémon gets a little boring to play with later on, doesn't it? I've also decided to train an Onix. Never done that before.

I'm training my Yellow Kanto team (Fearow, Raichu, Omastar, Persian, Exeggutor) to Lv. 100. So far the Unknown Dungeon is the best place to train (my team reached (from Lv 54 ) Lv. 61 in roughly one hours' playtime).

Fly is above the guard house to the cycling road (in west celadon I think). Cut a bush to the right, get up there, pass through the upper part of the guard house and then get to the girl in the "secret house" to get a fly. Correct me if I'm wrong.

EDIT: It's just before where the sleeping SNORLAX is or was resting.

My team on crystal has just beat red for the first time, yayzerz!
Marowak (Lv. 60) fainted pikachu (one hit) and snorlax (two hits) with trusty ol' earthquake.
Slowbro (Lv. 60) I sadly never needed to use this guy in the battle.
Meganium (Lv. 60) stalled out blastoise with toxic and light screen.
Snorlax (Lv. 58) barely survived two psychics from espeon and fainted it by using shadow ball twice.
Arcanine (Lv. 60) easily fainted venusaur with two flamethrowers before it could even fire off solarbeam.
Dragonite (Lv. 60) fainted charizard with two thunderbolts, winning me the match.

Now I'm making a new team of Jumpluff, Houndoom, Tyranitar, Misdreavus, and Skarmory. Oh, and also Lanturn. Like they say, "Real men use Lanturn".

Data Base errors are ever so annoying... T_T

I got a new Silver game a while back, and have currently already played 61 hours on it. |D Which is... more than any other hours on any of my other games, because all of them have pretty much been restarted. Just shows how much I really like Silver. :]

ANYWAYS. Currently training the rest of my team to level 73 or so (level of my Feraligatr) so I can go and try to face the Elite Four on Pokemon Stadium. Decided to ditch Pidgeot for Bellossom for the cause (Because, from experience on my Crystal Team... I NEVER USE PIDGEOT.) I was able to train that Bellossom to level 57 from a level 6 Oddish in one day. :] That is a feat for me, since I don't like training all too much.

Beat the Elite Four like... four more times (I have beaten it 15-16 times now) and also beat Red a few times. |3

So I started Pokemon Red because I found it and it's completely badass. This morning I got out of Mt. Moon and I'm going to evolve my Jifflypuff to Wigglytuff sometime later on my way to Cerulean City.

This is my team:

Pikabu is a ****ing monster, Scarlett going to be a beautiful Wigglytuff, I can't wait until B**ch and N***a are Nidoking and Nidoqueen, and I'm glad I chose Bulbasaur, because I don't have much experience raising a Venusaur, as when I was younger I didn't favor Bulbasaur as much as Squirtle and Charmander.

I'll keep posting my recent happenings as my journey continues. :)

EDIT1:

So I evolved Scarlett on my way to Cerulean as planned, and I defeated the Rockets on Nugget Bridge. After doing that, instead of heading North and East towards Bill's or to the grass to catch some Pokemon, I decided I'd take on Misty first.

Scarlett's going to have to sit down and take a chill pill for a while, because she's been putting so many Pokemon to sleep she's getting so much more experience than everyone else. Plus I'd rather not keep putting everyone to sleep and then slaughtering them. Scarlett's a great gem, though. I've never really raised Wigglytuffs, to be honest, Jigglypuff was kind of annoying to me in the anime as a child, but I find Jigglypuff to be such a fascinating creature now.

I used my two Rare Candies on Pidgey and B**ch because they were the ladies lacking in my party. Gotta give a little steroid boost to the ladies, I guess.. but I'll probably be training up ***** and N***a next. I want to raise Pikabu to be a badass, too. Pidgey will most likely be replaced soon, but the Rare Candy boost got her to learn Quick Attack on the spot, which really helped.

So my next destination is Bill's.

Oh, ****, and I also had an amazing battle with my rival, Bush. He comes back from Bill acting all cocky to me and I'm thinking, 'Boy, I'm gonna take this mother****er out.' And I did, beautifully. You could tell he didn't see that one coming. Thinking he's smart picking his Charmander.. haha.

Yeah, R/B are extremely badass. I currently play Yellow, as I never played it before and wanted a new challenge. I chose Pikachu per default, but since it won't evolve, I imported one from my Blue version and am using it now. The original pikachu is rotting in my box. The default Pikachu I named "Electron", but since the imported one could evolve and thus would be more badass, I named it "ElectronX".
A plus with Yellow version is that it allows Pikachu to learn more moves than in the previous installments, most importantly Thunderbolt. Hell yeah! Just like in G/S/C. That's awesome, you don't need to waste your thunderbolt TM on your Pikachu no more! Anyhow, here's my progress so far:

Persian (Aristocat): Lv 100
Fearow (Beakly): Lv 98
Exeggutor (Aubergine, another word for Eggplant): Lv 95
Omastar (Traded to me years ago, I can't change nickname, bummer): Lv. 100
Raichu (ElectronX): Lv. 97 I think

And one more eventually that will fit one of the slots. I haven't chosen one, but I will as the other pokés reach Lv. 100. I can only choose Fire I think. Ground is unacceptable as I will gain a whoopin' 3x weakness in my team for Ice, and with Blizzard being the most widely used TM in the game, it wouldn't be very smart of me. The same goes with Poison, 3x weakness and Earthquake that is very popular in R/B/Y. And also, Ghost is coupled with Poison, so that's excluded as well. And no Ice type either, as that will be 3x against Fighting as well now that Submission is so easily aquired and learned by a lot of pokés.

I'll have to choose between Arcanine, Rapidash, or Magmar. I've got a Magmar in Blue version, so I'll scrap that, even though it's quite useful. I'll have to ponder a while on that choice. I'll check up an online pokédex or my old R/B/Y guide from the time before I had "high-speed" Internet at home :P

EDIT: Darn it, I just realized that having a Fire type also will give me a 3x Ground weakness. Also, I forgot to take into account of using a fighting type. The only option I have is a Fighitng type, so I'll research a little on Primeape, Machamp and Hitmonlee. (Not Hitmonchan since his Special is low and he mostly learns elemental attacks)

EDIT 2: I chose Primeape as it can learn Thunder and is agile. That's needed for a Fighting type as the birds are quite fast. That way it can fend itself against them.


EDIT 3: Yaaaawn, breeding takes forever! I'm trying to breed a Mankey with Rock Slide to trade over to Yellow, but the second last step of the breeding chain takes forever. I'm just not getting the egg!!

Now the Mankey with Rock Slide has been born and living for a month, untrained. That's because I'm focusing on my shattered Blue team which I have updated (look in the What is your team on GSC/RBY? (http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=82174) thread for my current team and changes).
1. Now Pidgeot will be trwained to Lv. 100 in Blue.
2. Then I'll breed a Growlithe with Body Slam in Gold and trade it over while trading over Magmar and Electabuzz from Blue in exchange.
3. Then I'll train it and then evolve it to a Lv. 100 Arcanine.
4. Then I'll train Mankey to a Lv. 100 Primeape.
5. And at last I'll train my Gold team's Quagsire and Ursaring to Lv. 100

Then I'll move on to Sapphire.

Just restarted my Crystal game - I'm confidant the battery is okay, my save file from 3 - ish years ago in still on there. Chose the name Bailey, and picked Cyndaquil. Just delivered the egg and got the Pokedex, and just finished Sprout Tower.

I'll add new information about my journeys:

Blue: Pidgeot has now reached Lv. 100 making it a legend among Pidgeots. It's complete with Mirror Move, Fly, Sand-Attack and Substitute.
Also, Venusaur now has got Substitute over Take Down giving it the moveset of Substitute, Toxic, Solar Beam and Mega Drain. Yup, that's my starter.

Yellow: Mankey has reached adulthood by evolving into Primeape, almost having his predetermined moveset at Lv. 44. He has Rock Slide, Seismic Toss, Submission and Focus Energy. As all RBY gamers should know, Focus Energy doesn't work in those older games as it's glitched, and reduces the Critical Hit ratio isntead of raising it. It works in Stadium though, and as I don't have that game, Focus Energy on Primape will be swapped for Screech instead. It's not as if it will stand hits from the opposing pokémon to begin with, but having Hyper Beam on more than one pokémon in your team is overkill (looks at Red and Blue Version Lance which has Hyper Beam on all his pokémon).
Omastar has Reflect over Spike Cannon giving him Surf, Reflect, Blizzard and Bite.
Fearow now has Drill Peck, Mirror Move, Agility and Take Down over it's previous Fury Attack.
I'm still pondering on which move I will change my Persian's Pay Day with.

Gold: When Primeape is Lv. 100 in Yellow, I will breed a Growlithe with Body Slam and trade it over to pokémon Blue in exchange for a Magmar and an Electabuzz. The Electabuzz will definitely be on the team, but I'm not so sure with the Magmar which is a very good pokémon. Probably I'll have to put him into the box or trade him to someone who wants him or something. Or I can use him in another set. Well, well, I don't know. Anyhow, the Charizard that I have in Gold will be put into a box. Its moveset isn't that good to begin with and I don't want to have it in my team anyways. It gives the team too many weaknesses, which Magmar would too. I really need an electric type like Electabuzz as my team wouldn't stand a Feraligator with Blizzard as an opponent.
