InuYasha: Eternal Night

One of the guards shot and arrow at Sira, but she caught it between her fingers and burned it.
Stupid humans... Sira thought. They dont know whats good for them
Sira shot fire at the guard who had shot the arrow at her.
I'm going to set this whole village on fire if I have to..

[Xhaiden]

Kagome glared at Sira dangerously, her eyes glowing purple. "Nyaaow!" She called out, dodging between the legs of the villagers. She ran to a water tower that had been errected in the village square, bounding quickly up the side. Her wings guided her upwards, the black neko landing atop the well. She looked over the rim of the large barrel, impressed by the inginuity of people in this time. The well was set up to collect rain water and filter down into several pumps that lay throughout the village.
((Kagome has a Cat name)) Kyoki clamped her jaws down on one of the ropes that supported the water, gnawing away at it. The rope gave, the well groaning from the pressure of the water. Kyoki dug her claws into the wood, starting on the next rope. The threads of the rope snapped, the water surging to be free. She leapt free as the well splintered, water rushing forth to quell the flames. Kyoki landed atop a nearby building, licking her paws clean. She ran a paw over her head, her wings folding against her body. Her eyes gleamed down at InuYasha, her tail flicking to and fro.

Another arrow flew past Sira, almost hitting her.
Crap... she thought as more followed the first.

Sira jumped from the burning hut, and put her flaming hands onto the ground. The fire headed towards the guards, and burned their their legs severly. Sira watched as the men fell to the ground, and the fire changed it's course. There was nothing she could do about Kagome, InuYasha would have to deal with her....

The fire spread around the village quickly, as if looking for something or someone. Sira picked up a big stick, and set it on fire. She threw it into a place the fire hadnt spread.
Where is he.... Sira thought. She was ontop of the burning hut now, sitting in the fire, searching the area for any signs...

[Inuyasha]

"GYAH! KAGOME! DONT MOVE!"
Oh yeah, I was seriously freaking out. I mean, my koi just got turned into a hanyou... cool, but weird. Now... SHE'S A FRIGGIN CAT! GYAH! ;.; I saw her sitting there, licking her paws and cleaning herself and I leapt into the air. It wasnt a tall building, but the roof was big enough for me to land next to her and still be able to move. Taking her gently into my hand, I couldnt help but give her a small peck on the top of her head.
"Plese please please please please please PLEASE dont run off agian..."
I begged her as I petted and nuzzled her. She's gunna give me a heart attack by runnin off...
"If somethin happens to you Kag, I'll never forgive myself... We gotta fix you. So you stay close and We'll run around looking for... -sniff sniff- MMmmm... steak... I mean, no... We'll go looking for whoever you want... Just please... don't leave me..."
Dang woman got me all upset again. An I ain't crying... I just got smoke in my eyes... Stupid Sira havin to burn everything... If she burns it... how can I kill it? Still petting her, I slipped Kagome into my haori again, giving her the evilest look I could when she tried to jump out again. I didn't know how to tell her that its for her safety... I didn't know if she really needed it...
Maybe it was for my own sanity.
If I lost her this soon after I got her to tell me the truth, then I might as well get pinned to that dang tree for eternity...
'She aint goin anywhere baka. You know that better'n anyone. Right? She loves you. You love her. That is possible... right?'
"Dang straight, I love her..."
I said in a quiet, raspy whisper...

Sira suddenly felt a pain in her back.
"Ow....stupid arrows....", she muttered to herself, pulling the arrow from her back. She then turned around and saw a guard running off into the smoke. She quickly stood up, and ran after him. She pulled out her sword, and caught up with the man. She then stabbed him, and watched him fall to the ground.

Sira searched the area once more, and saw InuYasha with Kagome. She sprinted over to them and pounced onto the roof top.
"We better get out of here..." Sira said to InuYasha.

[Inuyasha]

"Ehh... put a sock in it shrimp. I'm not lettin anything hurt her or me... so you can run off. I'm findin out why Kagome came here in the first place."
I just found her. I ain't leavin here without fixing her. I sat there and softly petted her head. Her gentle purring made me smile a bit, even if i was scared as heck that I'd be stuck marrying a cat. I wasn't gunna settle for anyone else... even if she was stuck like this...

[Xhaiden]

" NYAOW!" Kyoki mewed loudly, shaking her head at Sira's remark. She turned her gaze to a glowing item on the ground, her spine tingling at the familiarity of a jewel fragment. The earth trembled, a massive beast made of rock rising up from the earth. Kyoki hissed, her fur rising on end. The demon let out a roar, turning towards them. Kyoki thought frantically, knowing full well that InuYasha could not see the shards. She dug a claw into his chest, drawing blood. She clamped down on her leg, pressing her now bleeding paw to his tiny wound. She channeled her Miko abilities through to him, hoping her would beable to see. She licked his wound clean, watching it close expectantly. Kyoki nuzzled him lovingly, purring softly in a silent apology.

"Fine, if you want me to leave, I'll leave....", Sira began. "But I'm not leaving until I find what I'm looking for..."
Suddenly, the pain in her back returned once more, causing her to flinch. She tried as hard as she could to show no pain. The fire was spreading quickly around the village, and smoke was pretty much the only thing Sira could see. But Sira knew that her jewel was here, and she wasnt leaving without it...

[Inuyasha]

"Yeah, well you don OOOOOWWWWWWW!! GEEZE KAGOME!"
I looked down and saw her gently nuzzleing me... i didnt know why she decided to scratch me, but it was painful. What the heck...?
"Gomen Ne Kagome... but... i didnt do anything wrong... Eh? What the... someone lose this? I walked over to the small glittering object and picked it up, careful of Kagome cuddled in my haori.
"What the heck is this thing? Oy... wait... its... I found a shard of the Shikkon Jewel. How the heck did... Kagome... is that what you did you little kitty... I love you, yes i do!"

"Oy, wench... good job..."

Sira wandered threw the deserted village, sniffing for any trace of who she was looking for. She opened a door to a burning hut, and saw a cloaked figure standing in the smoke. In his hand shone a small jewel. Sira took a step forward, but the figure did not move. She continued to walk forward, and eventually reached the man. She snatched the jewel from his hand, but yet he did nothing....
"It has come for you to end...", the man finally spoke. "Burn in you're own fire..."
Then all of a sudden, the man disappeared, followed by an explosion.

Half the village had finally been destroyed. Sira layed on the ground, staring up at the sky, cluching the jewel in her hand.
Fool...has he already forgotten? Sira thought, standing up. She seemed unharmed by the explosion. She looked at the jewel in her hand, and then at InuYasha and Kagome in the other half of the village.
I dont know why I even bother.... she thought.

[Xhaiden]

Kyoki purred happily at his remark, licking him out of instinct. She ducked her head into his haori, inhaling his scent contently. She attempted to clear her thoughts, focusing on the child. Where is she at? ANd why did she do this? She asked herself, yawning widely.

Sira stuffed the jewel in her pocket, and then headed towards the forest.
Time to go on by myself again... she thought, jumping onto a tree branch. She sat down and pulled the jewel from her pocket once again. She then and studied it, but she wasnt very happy to have it back...

[Psychotic_Demon]

sapphira watched all from a nearby tree. she did not want to kill. bored, saphira froze a couple of leaves that were floating in the wind and watched them fall to the ground. the fire below her blazed and she could do nothing about it...

saphira snapped back to reality. something was coming this way. a demon.... no, two... no.... more....

[Inuyasha]

"Kagome..."
I could feel her moving in my haori, her tiny body shifting it's weight and her little limps stretching. There was this odd... cuteness of it all. She was adorable, no matter what form she was in. Human, Neko Hanyou, or Neko... she was just plain amazing.
"Kitty!"
"Nani? It's that runt again... the one... Kagome... wa...sss chasing!"
I looked down into my haori top and gently poked her.
"Kagome... that her? Am I s'posed to follow her?"

Sira twitched her ears as she heard something below her. She jumped from the tree branch, and a little boy appeared from a bush.
Theres kids everywhere...whats wrong with this place!? Sira thought, crouching down. The little boy approched Sira cautiously. He was covered with ash, and Sira knew that he was from the village immediatly. He had black hair, and brown eyes.

"Hey kid..." Sira began. "Get lost, its dangerous out here"
But the boy didnt move, but took a step closer to Sira. Soon enough he was face to face with Sira. Then, without a warning, he grabbed her ears.
"Let go of my ears!" Sira yelled, causing birds to take flight. But he just wouldnt let go.

After 1o long minutes of trying to get the boy to let go of her ears, Sira finally managed. She picked him up, and walked back to the village. She there dropped him, and turned to leave.

A quiet whimper came from behind Sira, and she turned her head.
"Stop you're crying, theres nothing I can do for you...", she snapped, and continued to walk into the forest, leaving the little boy crying. She felt guilty, but she knew there was nothing she could do....

[Xhaiden]

" Nyeow..." She purred deeply, clambering up to his shoulder. She wrapped her tail about his neck, hissing at the child lowly.

[Inuyasha]

I looked at the cute, innocent little child and savagely cracked my knuckles, a bloodthirsty smile rising to my lips.
"Thats all I needed to know, koi. Maybe I'll torture her for doin this to you, before she changes you back and I kill her..."
I slowly strode forward, ready for whatever the 'innocent' little runt would try. I would get MY Kagome back. I always will. No matter the cost.

[Psychotic_Demon]

saphira jumped out of the tree and ran back into the forest. she had no idea why she was going there but something seemed to be calling her...

[Xhaiden]

" Come Kyoki....It's time to go home..." The child called, smiling at the cat. Kagome's eyes turned pure purple, a high pitched screeching filling her head. She ran from InuYasha's shoulder, bounding into the child's arms. " Good Kyoki." She giggled, stroking the cat. With that they vanished, only the fading scent of Naraku remaining.

[Inuyasha]

All the happiness faded. All of it.

ooc: i`m bored. i think i`ll change into a demon

saphira stopped. the thing that was calling her was here. she just couldnt see it. a voice spoke. "come here doggie!" saphira turned around and saw some child. they were in the shadows so she couldnt tell who they were.

"i`m not a dog!!!" she snarled, her anger rising.

"yes you are." the child stepped out of the shadows. saphira almost cried out. it was a boy from her time! he looked to be about 8.

saphira was getting angrier. normally she was able to control her anger but something was wrong. "i`m not a dog! now beat it!" suddently it hit saphira. last time she turned into a demon she was furious. now...

"you are a dog."

"i am not!"

"change."

"wha-"

"CHANGE!!!" the boy was obviously losing it. in saphiras opinion. "change NOW!!!

saphira turned to run back to the village. the boy appeared all along the way. "change... change... change..."

have to stay calm...have to stay calm... saphiras thoughts were scrambled.

she reached the village. "change..." the boy was right in front of her.

saphira lost it. "WHY?!? WHY SHOULD I? THERES NO POINT TO-"

"ha. it worked."

saphira felt the same sensations as when she changed the first time. her bones twisting, teeth, fur... in less than a minute she was a silver fox again. and she was angry...

As Sira entered the forest, she felt something tugging on her sleeve. She looked down to see the boy.
"What do you want?" she asked him. The boy answered with a whimper, and looked deeper into the forest. Sira definatly smelt that little girl who somehow changed Kagome into a cat. And also sensed Naraku's presense...

Sira picked up the little boy, and carried him over to a bush.
"Stay here until a tell you its safe...", Sira said, and the boy nodded. Sira then hurried back to the village, and saw only InuYasha. She jumped onto the hut beside him.
"Wheres Kagome?" she asked him.

[Inuyasha]

"..."
I didn't say a word. It was stupid of me to not try and catch her. I was stupid. I looked to Sira before I shook my head and sighed softly... The wind was picking up a strange scent, and I knew right away what it was. Blood. I turned to face the gentle breeze and tossed a look at her over my shoulder.
"Alright runt. I don't know what you're plannin on doing, but I'm heading that way and killing the little girl that took Kagome. Naraku's scent is all over her and that means she's just another one of his pawns in this whole struggle for the Jewel."
[color=red]I didn't wait for an answer, I ran. My legs moved faster and faster as I bounded over the rocks and tree's and bushes. As I made my way to her. I wasnt sure of where I was going to go from there... But I was sure I could find Kagome. I just hoped it was alive.[/color

Sira was just about to answer InuYasha before he dashed off. She jumped off the hut and followed him. She soon caught up with him.
"Thanks for waiting....", she said. "I appreciate it....."

a roar escaped saphiras lips. she bounded after the little boy, ready to attack him. he had made her change. he was the one who caused all of her emotions. he was the one she wanted to kill...

[Inuyasha]

I paused for a moment and looked back at her, my voice coming out in a high pitched, insulting for a man, tone.
"Yeah, sorry, alright? I... can't... I can't tell if its her blood."
This wench was gunna make me look like a sissy by the time this is all done and over. Worried sick about her, half ready to cry, unable to... well, I never sleep... But she's going to make my hair turn gr... okay... its silver... but she'll turn my human form's hair gray. Yeesh...

"Dont worry, we'll find her...." Sira said reassuringly. "You really should stop worrying so much..."

[Inuyasha]

"KEH! How can I *NOT* worry about this all? I mean... I tried to understand this whole 'love thing' AND I GET STUCK TO A TREE! And then there's the fact that the woman who woke me up smelled, looked, and felt just the the one who put me there. Not only that... but the one that put me there wants to kill me while the other is willing to love me. WOMEN! GYAH!"
I snorted as I leapt into a tree to check how far I had ran off course as I talked to Sira. I wasn't far, thank Kame, but I still didn't know if it was her blood or not... I reached up and slowly rubbed the tears off my face with the back of my haori sleeve.
"Tell anyone I cried and I will kill you. Got it, Sira? I may not look the toughest, but my reputation is all I have to save me and her. If they think I'll slaughter everyhting in my way, then that saves me the pain and trouble of doing so."
I hate crying. And... I hate liking it...

"Kill me? Ya right, whatever.....", Sira began. "I highly doubt that you would or could kill me..."
Sira sniffed the air for any trace of Kagome, but stangly couldnt smell a thing.

[Inuyasha]

I turned to her, poking a finger into her collar as I glared at her.
"I have done far worse than kill a runt of a hanyou for telling others of a weakness... Entire villages have been torn to peices because they kept me from the thing I needed most. I'm not feared for nothing. And I'm not speaking lightly.
If you mention anything that would lead to me being hurt, and in turn, not being able to save Kagome...
I will skin you alive, ripping and tearing flesh as I please.
There is more to me then even Kagome knows.
That is the truth of the matter. I must be the one to tell her.
No one else."
I hate having secrets. Especially when I can't tell them to Kagome because she'd hate me. -sigh- Watashi wa baka.

"Like I said....", Sira said angrily. "I highly doubt you could kill me. And I'm not going to say anything to Kagome. Everyone has their weakness..."

[Xhaiden]

Kyoki followed the child throughout Naraku's castle, her new collar clinking loudly as she followed. " Kyoki, Daddy says that it's time to go play...." The child giggle, stroking her fur. Kyoki purred lightly, her purple collar adorning a large peice of the Shikkon No tama. "Neyow!" She mewwed, leaping into the air. She vanished, reappearing in a small village. " Nyeow..." She growled lowly, her eyes still glowing purple. She launched forward, Her claws outstretched. She sliced through a man's side, the human falling to the ground in a pool of blood. She bounded back and forth, killing left and right, her powers flaring. She landed at the village's edge, power lacing outwards from her. Several hut ignited into flame under her gaze, the neko leaping into the air. She flew on, searching for her next target.

[Inuyasha]

"Nan...?"
I sniffed the air once more. The wind had changed directions, and I now noticed the smell of death in a closer town. It wasn't stale death, or a few killings...
It was fire.
It was massacre.
It sounded like fun.
"Oy, Shrimp. We gotta go that way"
I pointed east, and glanced back towards her. I didn't care what she though about the shrimp comment. She was one. And I sure as heck didn't want to waste time to fight her and prove her wrong... Any drop of blood at any given time could be the last one to fall from Kagome. And that would be bad. I twitched at the thought of losing her for good, slowly the fragmented memories of when I had transformed assaulted me. I knew I had killed many innocent people. I knew I had lived up to my youkai blood. But she stopped me. She saved me.
Tetsusaiga was broken.
Kagome was a friggin cat.
And if I turned... No one could stop me.
"We gotta hurry. I ain't waitn for ya, so you better run fast."
I gave her a small nod as I leapt to the ground and sprinted into the wind, the night sky carrying demons of the past to haunt the angel that has fallen into my life.
Kame... save the innocents now...
If I find them...
Kagome will sit me for sure... ;.;

Sira pounced after InuYasha. She didnt say a single word to him, nor cast a single glance. Part of her wanted to save Kagome too, and part of her didnt.
Why would I want to save a worthless human? Sira asked herself, now glancing at InuYasha. Why?

"Naraku is nearer", Sira said, her eyes flashing red and then returning to their normal shade of blue. Sira slowed down alittle, feeling uneasy.

[Xhaiden]

Kyoki mewed lightly stopping at the edge of another village, her tail twitching. A small boy let out a happy laugh when he spotted her, scooping up the demon cat. " You are so cute! I wanna show mamma and see if I can keep you!" He laughed, running into the village. Kyoki meerly waited patiantly, the child carrying her to a small hut. " Mama! Lookit! I found a kitty!" He called, his mother stepping into veiw. " Neyow..." Kyoki yawned, her eyes flashing. An explosion roared through the village, destroying the child, mother and anything nearby. Kyoki landed lightly on her dainty paws, looking about curiously.

Sira spotted a explosion, and she fell to the ground. Once she hit the ground, her eyes turned a dark shade of red. Sira felt stronger. She had only felt so strong 50 years ago, when Naraku took over her village, and placed the jewel in her arm.
Kill them.... said a voice in Siras head. She stood up, and bounded towards the village.

[Inuyasha]

I looked at the shrimp running off into the forest. Well, I didn't actually look... but I could see her in my line of sight.
"She's just a pup. Serves her right to get hurt."
I didn't see anything, but I could feel this overwhelming pull to that direction... towards the killing and death. To all the fun I ONCE AGAIN MISSED. x,X... Crap. In any case... I slowly searched the surrounding area for anyone and followed my nose to the fruit loop... wrong commercial... I followed my nose to the bloodshed. Kagome's scent was still in the air, but it was her as her neko form. It was her scent when she was tainted by Naraku.
I couldn't wait to kill him...
I bounded over the trees, the forest becoming sparse and the huts becoming denser. The smoke soon filled my nose, penetrating the firm grasp on Kagome's scent. It choked me from this height, watered my eyes as bad as when I was crying over Kagome... I knew someone had a LOT of fun. And I wasn't invited. I always miss the good stuff... -sigh-
"KAGOME!"
I screamed. I yelled, I pleaded for her to come to me. I wasnt gunna give her away to anyone. But if I havta go find her every dang second I'm just going to give up. Chain her to my leg and make sure she stays in my lap. No where else. I leapt from the top of a small hut and into the square of the village. It looked familiar. I just hoped my sense of direction didnt fail me...

[Xhaiden]

Kyoki stood looking down from her perch atop a familiar village, her glowing eyes staring down at the humans hungerily. She leapt at a man nearby, claws extended. She sliced through his arm, landing on her feet bafore him He let out a cry, holding the now bleeding stub. "HIISS!" She hissed, her fur rising on end as she launched forward to finish him off. He fell with a thud at her feet, the tiny neko looking about for more prey. This village was familiar to her....Kaedae's village

Sira finally reached the village.
My master....is calling me..... she thought, now trying to escape from her trance. Sira soon spotted Kagome.
Do not harm her.....this is not the time or place for that...... said the voice.

Arrows flew past Sira, missing her by inches. She turned around to see a man. She ran over to him, getting ready to burn him to a crisp. The man suddenly put up his sword, and striked Sira's hand with it. Strangly, the sword didnt cut through her hand. The man dropped his sword, and Sira picked it up. She then stabbed him, and he fell to the ground dead.

Sira picked up InuYashas scent through all the smoke, and her red eyes scanned the area. Though Sira could not see him anywhere.....

saphira was just about to attack the kid. her ears twitched something bad had just happened. she left the child to see what was going on. leaving the child was a bad idea...

[Inuyasha]

I found an opening through a billowing could of smoke and flames as I directed myself to land on the small spot of ground I could see. With a dull thud and a slight cramp in my legs, I hit the barren dirt, and as I rose I saw her.
My Kagome. I Inched my way to her and leapt out, grabbing the skin behind her ears, and puller her up.
"Bad Kitty, Now you change back anad hug me and kiss me and stop making me go mad. So you stay here, in my haori, and dont move until you change back. And we will find this little runt and hurt her if she doesnt change you back. Got it?"
Dangit. I hope I wasnt yellin at her too bad... I shook off the mild depression that was beginning to surge up in me and I put on a scowl.
"No more running off. End. Of. Story. I'll get the old hag to gimmie a collar for you too, got that neko wench?"

Sira finally caught sight of InuYasha. She ran over to him, and clawed him in the face, then jumped a distance away.

[Psychotic_Demon]

saphira could see sira and inuyasha in the distance. her silver fur gleamed in the moonlight as she roared: "INUYASHA GET AWAY FROM SIRA!!!" then saphira realised she was still a siver fox demon. this was just great...

[Legendary_Pokegirl]

Sira turned her head and saw a silver fox demon. Sira probaly wouldnt of harmed it, if it hadnt tryed to interfere. So Sira shot a giant fire ball at the unfamiliar demon.

Sira drew her sword, and right away it grew and caught fire, making it look even more deadly then it had before.

saphiras miond raced. i cant change back!!! she thought. what am i gonna do??? saphira still charged at sira, remembering their first battle...

Sira jumped into the air, and landed on the demons neck. She put her burning sword against the demons neck, and slit it slighty.

saphira roared. not in pain, but in anger. obviously someone, somewhere was controlling sira... maybe that person was keeping her from changing back into a human...

Sira jumped from the demons back, and landed infront of InuYasha once again. She did not attack him though, she was waiting for the perfect time.

[Psychotic_Demon]

saphira lepted in front of inuyasha. he probly didnt want her help but this was her battle too. saphira jumped in the air, shooting several beams of ice at sira.

Sira dodged the ice beams easily, and she began to shoot fireballs at Saphira once more.

[Psychotic_Demon]

saphira landed on the ground, the fireballs just missing her. "SIRA!!!" she barcked. "DONT YOU REMEMBER ME? I`M SAPHIRA!!!"

For a moment Sira snapped out of trance. Her eyes turned back to their normal shade of blue, but then returned red. Sira charged at Saphira, and struck her in the face with her flaming hand.

[Psychotic_Demon]

this time saphira howled in pain. i wont attack her... she thought. i cant... she saved my butt more than once... and shes the closest thing i have to.... a friend....

[Xhaiden]

Kyoki hissed, leaping away from InuYasha. She spun in mid air, landing lightly as she faced him. KILL! KILL! KILL!! MUST KILL! A voice in her head chanted, Kyoki launching herself at InuYasha. Her heart seemed to shatter, tears loosing themselves from her. " Kyoki..." The child called, the cat scampering over. " InuYasha is a bad doggy....You are my cute little kitty! Not that stupid Clay Miko's reincarnation. She isn't Kikyo's soul so leave her to me!" The child screamed at him, holding the cat.

[Psychotic_Demon]

saphira was holwling in pain by now. she was covered in scorch marks, cuts, and was starting to weaken. "SIRA!!! SNAP OUTTA IT!!! YOUR MY ONLY........ FRIEND........"

Once again Sira's eyes turned normal, but right after turned red again. Sira kicked Saphira, making her fly into the air.

[Psychotic_Demon]

saphira landed hard on her side. she was panting now, and almost to the point of giving up. her silver fur streaked with blood and burns she weakly rose to her feet. "sira..."

[Inuyasha]

"Ka...go...me...?"
The blood from the wound Sira left on my face was running down my cheek as fast as the warm spot that Kagome had made in my haori was turning to ice. I watched her, hissing and trying to scare me, as she hopped back to the little girl. I was entirely too frustrated with everything that was going on at the moment, and frankly, at my wits end. I brought a hand up to the small cut on my face and felt the warm crimson liquid as it stuck to my fingers. Parts of me were giving this whole thing up. Parts. But there was nothing else if I lost her.
The little brat needed to die.
I was going to kill the stupid little wench of a girl that stole my Kagome.
And I WAS going to love it.
"Yo, Shrimpette. You siddown and wait your turn. I'll play with you later, baka."
I smirked a bit as I drew Tetsusaiga and hurled it towards her. With my other hand, the one with the blood on it, I created a spell that Kaede had taught me. A simple barrier.
A fence for a dog, so to speak.
When used, it created a field of gravity that weakened the knees when the captor tried to run out of the area. I wasnt sure of the area... I didn't pay attention to that part... but I lilked the idea of trapping everyone as I tried to talk to Kagome...
Too bad the old hag never told me she was resistant to the spell...
When I was sure that Sira was no longer an annoyance , I turned back to the little girl. With all this mushy feely lovie stuff going on recently... I haventg been able to deliver a well placed butt whooping. And There was so much inside me that so desperatly wanted to kick something hard. I began to feel lost in the thirst, the hunger of destruction. I was unable to think of anything besides venting my anger in flesh.
I flexed a claw as my vision went black.

Inuyasha's eyes went red as his sticky blood. His wound sealed and began to mend itself quickly as he smiled an evil, fang filled smile. He crouched low, growling and examining his opponent. The little child seemed anything but worth it to him, but he didn't care. She had something that belonged to him.
What it was, he didn't seem to know, but it was definatly his.
Inuyasha bolted forward, his long silver hair flowing behind him as he flexed his claws and attacked. He swing wildly at the tiny girl as he toyed with her.
Any one of his Sankon Tetsusou attacks could render stir fry meat, but he wanted to scare her first. He payed no attention to the small cat in her hands. If it wanted to live, it needed to move.
Now.
"Hey tiny," He began is a raspy voice, "You ought ta let you're little kitty go. I wont eat it until you're dead anyways..."
His lips curled into a demonic smile as he lashed out and lightly clawed her face, a mere papercut compaired to what he was capable of doing. He pulled back and clawed with the other hand, this time, he severed a lock of her hair and held it out for her to see.
"Whatever it is that you stole from me better be worth your life. I'd hate to kill a little girl like you because of an insignificant chew toy or something..."

The girl smirked lightly, opening her arms calmly. " Kyoki....show the mutt how to play...." The girl stated. " Hai..." The cat stated, leaping to the ground. Kyoki's claws dug deeply into the earth, her wings spreading wide. Miko energy fused with demonic power surged from her, encasing her in a shell of sorts. The Child seemed bemused by it all, watching calmly. The shell exploded, a feminine figure landing lightly in it's place. She was a bit shorter then InuYasha, her hair starting out black at the top of her head and thinning out into silver at the ends. She wore a purple ribbon about her body, a long tail wrapping itself about her waist. Steel like claws now tipped each finger, elfin like ears poking out between the locks of thick hair. Her eyes were a deep blood red,the whites of her eyes turning pure black.

Instead of keeping her wings she now bore a tattoo across her shoulder blade. The same wings etched perfectly into her skin. She snarled lowly, one fang overlapping her lower lip. " Omea O Korosu Inu Hanyou...." She stated emotionlessly, the thick collar about her neck gleaming with the almost fully complete Shikkon no Tama.

Obedience being her one weakness, Sira sat down when InuYasha told her too. She tried to stand up, but it felt like she was planted to the ground.

[Inuyasha]

He grinned at the sight.
Just... grinned.
Inuyasha unclenched his fist and stepped towards her, his eyes shedding their peircing gaze of destruction and almost instantly becoming that of a loving, harmless soul.
"There you are, wench... ya scared the living..." He looked over to the little girl and muttered a curse, "poop outta me. Now, come here and gimmie a hug. We still gotta... mate and all..."
He reached his hand out and tried to grab her hand tenderly, not hearing nor caring that Sira was actually listening to him.

Kyoki jerked away from him, bounding back a step. "Mate? With a weakling like you?" She laughed, landing in a crouch. " What are your orders Mistress?" She asked the child, her eyes locked on the hanyou. " Kill InuYasha..." the girl replied, pointing to the hanyou. Kyoki lowered herself to all fours, slinking acrossed the ground like a panther stalking it's prey. She circled him slowly, looking for any weakness. In a flash she tackled him to the ground, her sharp claws digging into his arms as she slamed him down hard. " How's this for a hug?" She smirked, watching in ammusment at the blood that ran free from his arms.

Sira suddenly snapped out of her trance, and watched InuYasha being attacked. Finally she was able to stand up. She ran over to the 'false' Kagome, and scratched her hard in the face.

[Inuyasha]

Inuyasha laughed as Kagome tackled him.
He laughed when she dug her claws into him.
He didn't laugh when Sira attacked her.
Forcing Kagome from him, he leapt to Sira and grabbed her by the waist.
"Dont. You. EVER. Touch. MY. Koibito. Got it?" He asked her through clenched teeth. Without waiting for an answer, Inuyasha flug the hapless Sira off into the forest. When he was pleased by the snapping of branches and a distant thud, he breathed in deeply and cracked his neck.
"Now, wench. Playtime." Inuyasha crouched down on his haunches and waited for any slight shift in the situation. The breeze picked up, just enough to billow the bottom of the ribbon out, and he struck. Inuyasha leapt to Kagome, landing beside her and rolling to her back as he grabbed her arm and spun her around to his face while standing. He looked into her eyes and smirked a bit. "I ain't as weak as you think, koi. And I haven't the faintest idea of why you would say that." He snorted at the thought of being weak. He's never been in more control of his transformation as he was now. If he wasnt, Kagome would probably be dead. Probably... But that slight chance was far too much of a chance to take. He twisted an arm behind her back, just enough to put pressure on her. Just enough to keep her looking at him.
"What would I have to do to show you I'm worth mating with...?" He asked as he licked the small cut on her face, his eyes going all cute puppy dog like in the process.

Sira landed hard on the ground, but it did not harm her a bit.
"That idiot.....", she muttered to herself, getting up and walking back to where InuYasha and Kagome was. She walked u to InuYasha and kicked him hard in the head.
"Whats wrong with you!?" she snapped. "Dont you notice something different about Kagome, or are you always this stupid!?"

[Inuyasha]

Inuyasha slowly turned his head towards Sira, his red eyes aglow.
"Midget, if you want to live, I SEVERLY suggest that you back off and let us handle this ourselves. Interfere again and I WILL kill you. Or I'll let her, either way... So, go take care of your friend. She needs some help. As for me and my koi, this is OUR matter to settle." The words were harsh and cutting. The meaning as sharp as his claws. He meant every word of that sentance with extreme predjudice. Inuyasha had let his control slip a bit when he threw her, but if he let go of it enough, Sira would be ribbons in the trees. He turned back to Kagome and smiled.
"Sorry love. Now... whattabout it? Forget the little girl and lets pick up where you left off..?"

Sira was surprisingly not threatened by InuYasha's words.
"I'm not going anywhere!" she snapped. Sira planned to let InuYasha try to hurt her all he wanted, but nothing would make her leave. She wasnt one for giving up so easily.

saphira watched the whole thing weakly. she felt the sudden change of bones twisting and fur dissapearing. saphira was a half-demon again. saphira looked up at everything that was going on. sira being thrown to the ground, kagome attacking inuyasha...

saphiras knees buckled and she fell weakly to the ground, scorch marks and cuts covering her body. she started to feel light headed and darkness took over her...

Kyoki hissed at the sight of the female demon, not liking the thought of being pinned one bit. She dissappeared from his grip, knocking him away in one fluid motion. Her claws swept out in a wide arch, thier steel tips slashing into Sira's flesh. She landed in a crouch, her tail flicking as she eyed them both. This was going to be more difficult then she had planned. Her powers were still weak after being dorment for so long. " Kyoki....handle the mutt...I shall dispose of this youkai..." The child stated, another girl her smae age appearing at her side. Kanna. The white child held up her mirror, attempting to absorb SIra's soul. The purple haired girl lashed out with black lighting, striking at Sira unmercifully.

Kyoki's gaze locked onto InuYasha, feeling a strong attraction to the Hanyou for some reason. She licked her fangs hungerily, a evil smirk playing across her face. " If you want to be my mate so badly then prove it..." She stated, a low growl building in her throat.

[Inuyasha]

"Keh. That's what I'm tryin wench. Now, common and lets go. I think Kanna can handle the rodent. And me an you got some talking to do."
Inuyasha seemed calmed by the chaos around him. He gave Kagome a small smile and he stepped towards her again. "Now, first of all, whats with this... Kyo...Kyoki... thing? Wha? Too good to be Kagome Higurashi? I mean, seriously. Inuyasha Higurashi doesnt sound THAT bad... but if you wanna make up some last name for me fine. I've always been just 'Inuyasha'. An I mean... we can talk about that later though... An... you know, you bein a neko hanyou is cool and all... but regular old Kagome was amazing. An koi..." He began to rant on and on, about totally useless things, as his pupils and the whites of his eyes turned back to normal. He'd slipped right out of his transformed state and he didn't realize it.
"I guess I mean, tell me what I hafta do to prove that I wanna mate with you ann I'll do it... Anything..."
Eh... After blacking out... I'm back here... and what crap was coming outta my mouth just now... Hmm...

saphira rose weakly. her body hurt like heck but that didnt matter. kagome needed help. saphira didnt want to hurt the girl who had first accepted her, so she shot some ice at the two girls who were controling her...

Sira formed a fireball with her hands, only this one was mixed with electricity, making it more deadly then ever. All Sira had to do was choose the exact right time to throw it.

Kanna held her mirror out before her, the purple haired girl laughing joyously. " Go ahead Sira! Attack me! It will do you no good!" The child taunted. Kyoki watched InuYasha emotionlessly, not understanding a word coming out of his mouth. " You don't get it do you? I am not this Kagome person you speak of....I am Kyoki Ikikara, lordess of the eastern lands and neko youkai... Kagome Higurashi was merely a name givin to me by pathetic humans in the future....I was born of this time and thrown into the future for save keeping until my mistress could be reborn..." She stated, watching him carefully. " I have no need for a mate...They are worthless to me because I cannot love..." She added, leaping into the air. She felt pain swell within her, memories flashing through her mind. "I am sorry InuYasha but I can not be your Kagome....SHe is dead..." She said sadly, bounding into the forest.

" I am Dynasi, daughter of Naraku..." The purple haired girl murmered, her eyes flashing dangerously. " My father told me to listen to my Mother...To destroy the one called Kagome Higurashi...So I released my pet from within the human soul it had been slumbering...Kyokikeshen!" Dynasi laughed.

Sira smirked, and the fire/electricity ball disappeared. She then landed softley on the ground.
"Well, then, I guess there is no point attacking each other. You cannot harm me.....", Sira said.

[Inuyasha]

"..." Inuyasha stood motionless. His silvery hair billowed with the winds created by the blasts of energy, his heart was crushed with her words. He looked up into her eyes and searched for Kagome. He desperatly tried to breathe. The tears choked him as he realized she spoke the truth. Painful, soul crushing truth.
She was not Kagome.
His eyes flashed red before turning a pale, listless gray. As he watched her turn to run off, he leapt at her with a speed that surprised even himself and caught her by the back of the hair not too far into the woods. He held her there, pulling tight enough to keep her still, but not enough to harm her. With clentched fists, he stared into her eyes, his breath hot against her face. Letting go of her hair, he grabbed her arms so she could not hurt him, and looking once more into her soul, he saw nothing.
"You have to be Kagome..." Inuyasha whispered as he leaned in and kissed her. He held her tenderly, not wanting to hurt her, but firmly, not wanting to lose her. His eyes snapped open seconds after his lips touched hers.
'She... isn't... Kagome.' He thought in horror. Sighing dejectedly, Inuyasha took one of her hands in his and held it to his sternum, sharp claws breaking flesh and his crimson tears dripping to the dirt.
He didnt look up, there was no need to. He'd just be looking for what he could never find again.
"...I loved her. I truely loved her. And you took her." He pushed her hand deeper, not even a wince of pain coming forward,
"Do your job. I ain't gunna fight it."

Sira watched InuYasha follow Kagome into the forest, and followed him. Once she found them, Sira pushed InuYasha away from the fake Kagome. Instincts told her to attack her, but instead stepped away.

saphira stood up. she was tired and hurt. kagome was in trouble.... she ran off into the forest and followed siras and inuyashas path, soon catching up to them.

[Inuyasha]

Inuyasha fumed as he looked over at sira, he'd had enough of these 'interruptions.'
"You've had you're chance. And now you've lost it."
He turned towards Sira, his hand striking her across the face as he used his claws to rip open her abdomen. He wiped the blood off in her hair and scowled at her.
"Go back to your own dang business and leave me be."
He didn't care if she died. He didn't care if she lived and hated him.
She seriously needed to stop gettin in between him and Kagome. Fake... or not.
Once again, he turned towards Kagome and caught her before she had a chance to run off. He looked at her, his emotions kicking him in the head as he took her hand, warm with his blood, and stuck it back into his stomach. He wanted to beg her to kill him, he had nothing if he didnt have Kagome.
He just couldnt speak.
All he really could do was hold her there and let his silent tears fall to the ground. After a moment he managed to choke out a few words.
"If any part of her is still in you, please let me suffer no more. If you get rid of her you kill me, and thats all you have left to do."

Kyoki stared at him in shock, her eyes trembling. " I CAN'T DO THAT YOU IDIOT!" She snarled, gritting her fangs. Hot tears coursed free from her eyes, pain swelling within her. his pain flowed into her freely, the link that had been between he and Kagome lancing through her like a dagger. She cried out, vanishing from his grasp. The neko youkai landed nearby, blood trickling out of the corner of her mouth. "Kagome never existed!" She cried out, falling to the ground. " She was who I wanted to be!" She added, her eyes glazing over. "I...I wanted to be normal...to be able to love, to have friends...so I forgot what I was...and was reborn....I...can't be your Kagome because I do not have a soul..." She whispered, curling up into a ball.

Sira put her hand to her cheek, and blood covered her shaking hand, and tears fell from her eyes. Why am I crying? Sira thought Whats wrong with me?
Sira turned to InuYasha and bowed respectfully, more tears falling to the ground. She then turned and ran.

saphira saw something run past her. sira...? she thought. ...crying? god, what on earth has happened??? saphira ran after sira.

Sira ran as fast as she culd, and jump into the wind. She scanned the area for any sign of enemies, and any sign of life. Just anything to keep her distracted.
Whats wrong with me? Sira kept asking herself. Im confused....

"SIRA!!!" saphira shouted running below. she shot a continus beam of ice from her hands tohelp her fly. "sira, what happened?" she asked, concerned.

"Get lost....", Sira muttered. "Or I'll burn you to a crisp....."

saphira didnt stop. she was used to threats. she got them every day at home.... home... that word echoed through her mind. i`ll probly never see it again...

After a few more moments Sira noticed that Saphira still hadnt left.
"I swear to god, I will kill you if dont stop following me!" Sira snapped, almost near to a yell. Her hands were now flaming, electricity mixed in with the fire.

saphira shook her head. she should have figured. nobody had ever really cared for her. she did what sira said landing softly on the ground. saphira didnt even look up since she was changing into a fox demon again. but this time she wasnt a raging, angry fox, but a small, quiet lonely one.

saphira closed her sapphire eyes and layed down...

[Inuyasha]

"N-never exist...ed... Bull crap!" His eyes were shut tightly, his voice cracked with rage and pain, "If you're what was inside of her then you were what I saw. It wasn't Kikyou's reincarnated soul, it was whatever Kagome was that made me fall so madly in love with her that unless I held her, or heard her voice, or even laid eyes on her, I would go completely and horrifically INSANE!"
He looked at her, the neko youkai was off to his side, seemingly balwing to herself softy.
"It seems to be that you fail to notice something..." He muttered to her as he made his way to Kiyoki's side. He placed his arm around her and smiled, tears beginning to form again. He cursed his panzy side of him for crying. He just hated how weak he was when he finally had someone to love him.
"If you're the one that was inside her... Then you have a soul." Inuyasha paused for a moment before he rested his head on her back, his mind numbing and giving into the blackness that was swallowing everything he needed.
"I could never love something that had no soul." He gently kissed her shoulder and gave her a gentle, playful bite. "And I love you. You're what I saw in Kagome. And... you'll always.... be.... my... Ka...gom...."
The hanyou fell to the ground, almost lifeless. His tears dripped into the dry earth, a small puddle forming where they landed. He had a faint smile on his lips, and a bit of her blood too.

Sira felt like all the emotions that she hadnt been able to feel were coming back to her.
I'm starting to figure it out now..... she thought, slowing down. Sira spotted a pond, and she landed swifty in front of it. Even though she knew it would hurt her, she stuck in her feet, and sat down. It felt like her blood was frozen, but she still sat there. Her heart beat slowed down, and Sira closed her eyes.A gust of wind brushed past Sira's face, which made her even colder. As the minutes past it got harder for her to breath.

saphira opened her eyes. everything was going haywire. kagome.... sira... and even inuyasha.... saphiras silver fur shown in the moonlight, sparkling bright enough for any demon to see. she didnt care at the moment. she was lost, confused, and hurt....

Sira was now shivering in weakness and pain. She couldnt take it anymore. Why did she even go into the pond in the first place? She carefully pulled herself out of the water, but only got so far. Her feet still remained in the pond. She couldnt pull herself any farther. Cold water was Sira's one weakness...

saphira could sence something was wrong. she followed her instics, and eventually spotted sira. SIRA!!! she called with her mind. what the heck are you doing?!?

saphira pulled her out of the water on onto dry land.

"Dont touch me. Just leave me here to suffer. I have realized something today, that I have forgotten for so long....", Sira began, her voice sounded painful. "I'm sorry for any pain I may have caused you....."

saphira sat down. i dont care. and i realised something. i can control when i turn into a fox demon with emotion. she said simply. and no, i wont leave you here to suffer....

"Naraku is trying to control me, like he did some many times before.....", Sira said, closing her eyes. "I am afraid I cannot trust you with my secret...."

saphira stayed. maybe i can help you. and i think it was this naraku person who caused me to change and attack you the first time. she said.

"No one can help me...", Sira said, now trying stand. Though once she was standing she fell right back down.

"Saphira, get out of here", she whispered.
She finally stood up once again, and gained her balance.

"Whatever, but if you get killed its not my fault.....".
Gathering up all the strength she had Sira jumped into the wind, scanning the area for the demons. She saw nothing.........

saphira followed behind, her fox form changing back into a half-demon. "so, do you see anything?" she called up.

"No.....", Sira muttered. The wind brushing against the scratch InuYasha gave her stung but she tried to ignore it.

something shot at saphira. she dodged it. "what the-?!?" she shouted but another beam of colored light was shot at her...

Something shot Sira to the ground, but she landed swifty in a crouch. Suddenly a giant creature came down on her. She jumped into the air just as it hit the ground, and she threw some fire balls at it. With a loud shriek, the creature caught on fire....

saphira followed suit. she froze the creature, watching it shriek in agony... a ball of darkness hit her in the shoulder and that signaled saphira to draw her sword...

[Inuyasha]

'Music?'
Inuyasha was lost in a world that he had never seen. There were people, beautiful silk dresses.
'Music... I... know...'
He tried to move, but he couldnt. Someone was holding him tightly.
"Don't go Inuyasha. It's just some stupid dance."
"Kagome?"
He knew it was a dream. He knew she would never come back to him, but he held her. He held her and kissed her gently.
Just like he's always wanted to.
Kiyoki. Kagome.
They were both the same. They were both...
The only one he loved.
Kikyou gave him companionship. He hated being alone.
Kagome gave him love.
Thats what he wanted.

She smiled to him, her voice as beautiful as the setting sun that shillouetted her angelic features. He waited for her reply, but she wasn't clear in her speaking. He wanted to die.

Once again, Kagome paused before she answered.
Once again, he heard nothing.
Once again, he was crying.

saphira shot ice at the direction that the blast had come from. she felt someone trying to pry at the courner of her mind so she closed in. but that ment lowering her focus.... a risk she had to take....

Sira felt something wrap around her legs, and it pulled her to the ground. They were small little vines. Sira tried to cut them but they were solid. They soon wrapped around her throat, and her hands. Soon enough her whole body. Sira dug her claws into the ground, and tried to pull herself out of the grip of the vines, but it did no good.

saphira could see sira was in trouble, but she was also in her own danger. she grabbed her head, trying to keep her mind free. "no." she said through gritted teeth. "i.... wont.... let..... you...."

"You have to try you're hardest to fight it Saph-", Sira couldnt finish. Something hard hit her in the side of her head and knocked her unconcious.

"Where am I?" Sira asked herself. She was surrounded by fog, and water. A figure appeared in front of her, and she recongnized it right away. Naraku.
"You must join me once again, or you and you're friends will die a long....painful...death", said the cold voice. Sira took a step back and paused, looking down at the muddy ground. If she didnt accept would her friends surley die? But then again....they would most likely die anyways....

Why would Sira join up with the demon that destroyed her village and her loved ones? The memory was strong enough to kill her....

People were screaming and running, trying to get away from the demons that surrounded their village. Dark, purple, clouds started to surround the area, and the wind pick up. A young human girl stood atop a flaming rooof top, shooting her remaining arrows at the demons. It was Sira. For the first time she was failing to protect the village that she had saved so many times before. She was knocked out, and carried away. Soon enough her village and people had been destroyed. Meanwhile Sira was taken to a shrine that had magically appeared there. Naraku was inside....There he implaced a blood red jewel in her right arm, and it turned her into a evil demon. She forgot anything about her family and friends, and remained almost souless For many years she had worked for Naraku, killing anything in her path and collecting the shards of the Shikon Jewel. Until one day she broke free from the jewels spell, and was able to live her own life.....

saphira screamed. "NO!!! I WONT LET YOU!!!" it was useless... she wasnt strong enough...

saphira closed her eyes and reopened them. the once deep blue color was gone. they were now blood red. saphira changed, this time into a huge silver fox/wolf, with giant fangs and claws.

she was under narakus control....

Sira suddenly woke up, shivering slightly from the dream. The vines holding her still suddenly let go and she fell forward, landing on her face. She moaned in pain, and pushed herself up, not realising what Saphira had become....

The cat demon awoke slowly, groaning lightly. She was in complete darkness, a blurred figure standing over her. Kagome." Oh! You're alright! I was worried!" She exclaimed, helping the confused cat to her feet. " Kagome?" Kyoki blinked, looking about." Yup....I know we haven't exactly met before...you being asleep all that time..." She added, lifting her hand. Kyoki mimiced the action, thier hands touching. " You are my guardian Kyoki....You were my imaginary friend when I was little.. you were the source of my miko power....We should be one...." She whispered, the cat smiling as a wave of peace filled her. The two girls rose into the air, one glowing black the other white, thier spirits merging into one. Kagome...Balance.....

That someone that was sweet, yet arrogant, all wrapped in a beautiful, squishy soul filled girl. That young woman that made his heart beat, his lungs draw air, and his body want to live.

The music slowed to a stop as he watched her. Every now and then he heard some audible form of communication, but it was mostly gibberish.
She was smiling. Thats all he needed to see.
