What things at PC have changed since you joined?

Well... there has been a couple new skins added, and that glow text thing... and the Mixed Voting Polls was changed to Other Voting Polls just today I think or well since the last time I was here...

Cant really think of that much else...

XD and since i joined in July 3rd...last year...lots of things have changed, like get togethers not being able to post until 3 pages later...fewer mods, then we got all them new mods...then we added Preator and...erm...Abby? XD lots have things have changed here in the last year XD

When I firs joined PE2K had his forums merged with PC, but all those members left in February of 2003 and PC was really...empty for a while...at least until members like Arcanine and 22sa joined and helped bring PC back to its posting peaks (I helped a lot, or so I understand XD). Then we started getting all kinds of glitches inthe vB in late summer of 2003. After we moved the database to fix these glitches, I was modded (just had to saythat XD). Around Jan. and Feb. of 2004, we took in a lot of new mods (quite a few of which I didn't expect to be modded), and added the Praetor position. Since then, not much else intersting has happened...

Honestly, not much has really changed. Some things might have, but I was new, so I proably missed them. I've only been here for a couple weeks. I guess the biggest thing was the new skin, lol.

lol too much, and I bet I've missed much too! *mumbles about exams including the one this afternoon* NM well lets see first major change would be new PC, the layouts, each new layer of mods, being modded myself (lol and losing the powers because of my months away due to exams...may get them back ^^), losing fantastic old members, getting fantastic new members, returning members, the setup, the postions of staff, the discussions, the changing of best artists (lol it does so constantly), changing of MoTM, the introduction of get togethers, the introduction of other group activities, the introduction of quick reply (life saver), changes in sig limits, changes in av limits, changes in av gallery, introduction of new tags, introduction of reputation, the introduction of new forums and sub-forums, the lack of PC not working (whoohoo), forum jump, choice in layout, changes in buttons, new threads, new comments...and finaly I've run out of ideas, but I bet there is more where that came from....it's not like I'm an old member...I was here a year last december...yikes 2 years this december :S...anyways :D

I'm just going to post the big things since there is way to many little things to post.

-Around 6 new layouts added to the new and old PC (I think only one of them was not re-added after moving to 3.0) since the time I have been here.
-3 large batches of Mods was added to the staff list.
-1 batch of S-Mods added.
-Moved to a new sever.
-Lost PokéSafari and The-Apcc as community sites.
-Got V-Road and Zapchu as Community sites.
-Two new usergroups was added to PC (Praetor and Abby's rank).
-Went from vB 2.4.0 to now vB 3.0.1.
-New forums added, removed and edited (name changes) on PC.
--Added forums:The PokéCommunity Technical Institute and all it's subforums, RM2K, Pokémon Manga/Comics, #Free_Pokemon, Home of the Sprites, Fun time in PokéLand!.
--Removed forums: General Pokémon Video Game Discussion.
--Edited forums: Other Voting Polls, Mixed Art, Other Fan Fiction & Role Play (both forums was merged), Other Anime & Manga, Pokémon Emulation/Patches Discussion.
-I also remember having a quick reply in PMs (I don't know if most of you older members remember that but there was a quick reply in PMs).

Not all in the order they came but that is most of the big things that happened (I know there might be more but that is all I can think of right now).

Although I have only been here for about seven month, there is still quite a lot of stuff that changed. One of the biggest things that changed during my time, is the look of PC and the position of the avatar. Back in November, the avatars were on the left side of the screen instead of being above your posts. Also, there have been two new styles that have been added since I joined. Another thing that has changed is the activity, which has gone up in the time span of 7 months IMO.

November 2002, PE2K merged with PC and I was sppppppammmy back then, but I improved over the months to make quality posts. Also, when the time when the database was croupted, It deleted my account and I freaked out and said I was not going to the 1st Get-togeter (summer 2003) and everything was restored so I got to go. In January, I became a mod at the Mixed Community Forums although I didn't ask for it, but I appreciate it over the months.

I get into squabbles and disagreements a LOT more often. Back in January of 2003 the place felt more laid back and had a "coolness" to it. Nowadays it is much more uptight and I seem to get into trouble every week. One can't even say "Oh my god!" without offending somebody. It's nuts.

PC was way back in January, but then the admins decided to start over from scratch and deleted everything XP So everyone who say they were there since January 2003should have September instead, cus PC's slate was wiped clean. XD So everyone had to sign back in and start over XP

Anyways, I remember I came here November, or was it October(?) of 2003 XD And a lot of things have changed..

-New skins
-This place is more controlled than it was back then
-A BUNCH of new mods o___o;; I dunno why there's too much, tho XD

Yeah, on the homepage you can see an old copy of the pc... It is the reference library. It's prtty cool, but spooky.
BTW I just had an idea... they should add an instant messenger page, then users can open a new room, and talk about stuff.

Ahh…what hasn’t changed? I could dwell on technical things, but that’s been covered. PC is much different, and it’s harder for a lot of people to see the good instead of shortcomings from the memory of old PC. Some people have become less or more active, and…I think on a personal level I’m much more content with PC now than I have been in a very long time. Anyways… ^_^;;

I kinda miss how active a lot of the more talkative members are, to have a bit heavier discussions than just light stuff. It’s all good, but it’d be nice to have meatier stuff once in a while. And occasionally still there will be a topic I think was a really good idea. As for the positive stuff, the forum software is a lot better and we’re not in such desperate need of basics like mods and rules. X.o;
