Okay so im having some trouble. I don't know if i should put a new game or not. I like my pokemon and all its just, i think i should have ev trained them and gotten a better team with good iv's

You could try keeping your game but breeding for better Pokemon and a clean slate for EVs. It's probably better if you breed instead of just restart, considering the fact that it's easier to EV train when you have all your options for where to do so open to you as well as the time to spend attempting to hatch new Pokemon.

It probably is easier just to raise the ones you want now that you have a started game... instead of going to all the trouble of re-starting and re-catching everything.

You could always trade all the pokemon you want to keep onto someone elses game and when you start a new game you can get them back off that person. I'll keep them for you if you want =)
