Hello, I'm thinking of restarting my Pokemon Emerald & wanted to try this team:

Swampert @ Leftovers
Bold
- Hydro Pump
- Rest
- Rain Dance
- Ice Beam

Cradiliy @ Leftovers
Bold
- Giga Drain
- Toxic
- Solar Beam
- Earthquake

I need one more pokemon, PM me your suggestions

I hope you're aware that a Pokemon can't have 6 attacks (e.g. Altaria) so you need to pick 4 and stick with it.
Also, Chesto Berry Sucks. Only items to use in 3rd Gen are Leftovers or Choice Band.

Altaria has 6 moves there as I didn't know which to put sorry

Your format should look something more like this preferably.

Pokemon @ Item (optional)
Nature (optional)
EVs (optional)
Trait (optional)
- Move 1
- Move 2
- Move 3
- Move 4

Anyways your team is kinda full of BL-ish

I don't know anything about Sableye and its kinda NU you sure you'd use that thing?

Swampert @ Leftovers
Careful
EVs: 252 HP / 172 DEF / 86 SPDEF
-Earthquake
-Avalanche
-Curse
-Rest

Your sort of common Curse set

Altaria @ Leftovers
Adamant
EVs: 72 HP / 252 ATK / 184 SPD
-Dragon Claw
-Dragon Dance
-Earthquake
-Roost

Calm natured Altaria is kinda fail Id suggest you breed a new one

Cradily @ Leftovers
Careful
EVs: 252 HP / 164 DEF / 94 SPDEF
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake / Stealth Rock
-Toxic
-Recover

This guys one awesome waller and supporter, Toxic kinda self explanatory be careful though as Steel type Pokes are common nowadays, make sure you anticipate well.

For the record, Emerald is 3rd Gen, not 4th.
He said he's running an Emerald Team. I don't think he has D/P as of this point.

Jebus me and my bad habit of skim reading, sorry Kero can't help then....

I do have D/P I just don't play it, I changed one of Swampert's moves

Why not play it if you have it?? 'Specially since you say you're starting your team again...

Also - I'm a bit fascinated by Sableye too - Does anybody know if he's usable at all??

Sableye is NU for reason. Good typing but bad stats. Don't bother with it. Spiritomb is better.

Because the 4th gen metagame fails compared to ADV. No one agrees with me, but maybe Kero does. 4th gen, IMO, is just fail.

It is unusable, like luvdisc almost.

Why does ludicolo have curse with no physical moves? Swampert is better for cursing, and cursepert is about obsolete in ADV.

Oops, sorry it was meant to be a Swampert in Ludicolo's place.

How... dare you APCW! Call 4th Gen Fail! D:

No Sableye pleazzeee

Altaria @ Leftovers
Calm
- Dragon Claw
- Dragon Dance
- Rest
- Aerial Ace

That can actually work....o.o

Or just use Fire Blast over Aerial Ace.

The only good pokemon you have are Swampert and Cradily.

Sableye can get beaten easily by one blow from about any pokemon.
Dragonite / Salamence > Altaria.

DDnite is very good in sweeping while getting the Attack and Speed boosted from Dragon Dance.
Salamence has better stats so I suggest you take out Altaria and put in Dragonite.

I'm looking for the Special Sweeper on this team. And possibly Physical Sweeper if you don't have Dragonite.

Claire Bennet
November 6th, 2007, 12:57 AM
Where would I get a Dragonite?

Trading with a FR/LG. One of the reasons why D/P is better..

Claire Bennet

I don't like D/P, Emerald to me is better, I'm going to use the team I posted no matter what, I just need a good moveset

I totally agree Kero, we're basically BFFs now since nobody except the old ADV RMTers (almost all of which have left PC) agrees.

You can always run CBmence:

Salamence (F) @ Choice Band ** Monstermence
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power [Flying]
- Rock Slide

FTW

How do I find out the Hidden Power type?

How do I find out the Hidden Power type?

Go to serebii...since I don't have all nioght and I'd rather not explain it...lol, but it explains it really well.

Claire Bennet
November 6th, 2007, 04:20 AM
Ok, thanks alot, where do I search in Serebii?

Anti Pop Culture Warrior
November 6th, 2007, 04:22 AM
Game mechanics, under Hidden power. to calculate IVs, I'd use metalkid's calculator, best on the web.

Claire Bennet
November 6th, 2007, 04:24 AM
Ok, thanks so much for all the help

Anti Pop Culture Warrior
November 6th, 2007, 04:28 AM
No wonder why I'm always around here, I have no life lol

I wouldn't recommend cursepert. I used it...now I use mixpert, and it is SO MUCH fun to hydro pump the "innocent" little skarms lol...so hydro pump > curse.

Claire Bennet
November 6th, 2007, 04:30 AM
Ok lol, as usual thanks for the help.
Can my swampert learn Hydro Pump from the Heartscale man?

Anti Pop Culture Warrior
November 6th, 2007, 04:31 AM
Now I'd go through and edit that first post so I can do a full rate, 'k? and then you can complete this team.

BTW, relaxed on swampert. Put in EVs too, and we can help (OMG OMG) even more. Altaria really has to go...eh, I think I posted CBmence, correct? there's also DDnite...

Claire Bennet
November 6th, 2007, 04:40 AM
What you serious? I wanted to use the team I posted
Whats do you mean by relaxed? Nature?

Yes, relaxed nature. Still, sableye HAS to be replaced. It would really benefit you if altaria left too...

Does it make that much of a difference if my Swampert's nature is Impish?

Yes. Swampert need sspecial attack. With 120 SAtk EVs, swampert gains 236 SAtk, enough to OHKO CBmence, which is quite fun :) Relaxed is pretty much needed. Use the everstone trick.

Claire Bennet
November 6th, 2007, 04:46 AM

Back to serebii you go...it's there. And ditto would benefit you. serebii explains it all pretty well, though their 3rd gen movesetsd are sometimes a bit off. For breeding, it's a great resource, and you're gonna have to do a lot of that.

Shiftry @ Lum Berry
Mild / Rash
- Solar Beam
- Sunny Day <-- lol, I think you wrote Sunny 'boy' by mistake =P
- Explosion
- Hidden Power [Fire]/ [Ice]/ Rock Slide

Do NOT use moves that take up two turns, like Razor Wind. They allow the opponent to switch in a Pokemon that will resist it. (ie, the first turn Razor Wind is charging up and next turn your opponent brings out a Gengar, who's immune to it.)

Breloom @ Lum Berry
Adamant
- Spore
- Focus Punch
- Substitute
- Leech Seed

Why no Alakazam?

Why would you use Nincada over Ninjask?

[Ninjask] @ Leftovers
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 176 HP / 252 Atk / 80 Spd
Ability: Speed Boost
- Substitute
- Baton Pass
- Swords Dance
- Aerial Ace

EDIT: Oh shizz, is this an in-game team or what?

Blazkien @ Salac Berry
Jolly

Endureversal is so totally epic fail. So no. Blaziken likes to have a STAB move for skarm and one for bliss :/ and no reversal doesn't count...Blaziken is too slow to pull it off, even with salac. With that set, skarm says "hi"

Shiftry @ Lum Berry
Mild / Rash
-Solar Beam
- Sunny Boy
- Explosion
- Razor Wind

lol razor wind lol

I guess it can sunnybeam, but explosion and razor wind make it fall in the "lol" category. HP fire would be nice...

Breloom @ Lum Berry
Adament
- Spore
- Focus Punch
- Substitute
- Mach Punch

The only set set I haven't laughed at...fine.

Kadabra @ Lum berry / Lefties
Timid
- Psychic
- Encore
- Fire Punch
- Calm Mind

Zam...

Xatu @ Leftovers
Timid / Jolly
- Wish
- Psychic
- Light Screen / Reflect
- Thunder Wave (I don't know how it learns that I got it from Serebii)

Can't help here...

Nincanda @ Leftovers
- False Swipe
- Mind Reader
- Sandstorm
- Metal Claw

Just no...it has to evolve...if not, don't give it mind reader...HP Bug or silver wind plz.

Your freind muight wanna read up more on pokemon, but at least it wasn't super-n00bish. I've seen far worse.
