I normally don't go with the standards, but it REALLY need to say this:

Grass Knot>Psychic on Starmie.

Psychic has HORRIBLE type coverage.

Heracross' Evs are not working I mean c'mon it takes 4 EVs to get your stat up 1 point using 1 in a category does nothing.

Snorlax shouldn't have shadow ball thats special give it Crunch if you want to kill psychic and ghost.

Why sp. attack on your d-nite? You have adamant so give the evs in sp.attack and put them in speed and also replace fire blast for either aqua tail or waterfall.

November 5th, 2007, 10:54 PM
1 EV in each stat lol that's not even possible to raise stats in NetBattle

Make sure Snorlax won't be trapped by Dugtrio, otherwise you'll end up being horribly sweeped by Starmie

Goddammit. I'm not used to forums that don't seperate their RMT forums by Generation >.<;

I Changed the Ev's on Heracross to something else. That was a careless error. Also, my Heracross didn't have 1 EV in each stat. It had 252 in attack, and 252 in Speed.
Thanks for the help so far. =)

Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 180 Spd / 78 SAtk
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

Fine. I prefer HP Flying over Fire blast, but oh well. And run Jolly.

Metagross @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 140 HP / 252 Atk / 28 Def / 90 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Agility
- Earthquake
- Explosion
- Meteor Mash

Weird EVs, might wanna fix those. Set is fine.

Starmie @ Petaya Berry
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 6 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Psychic
- Surf
- Thunderbolt

Leftovers>Petaya Berry. You lack a spinner, so rapid spin over psychic.

Snorlax (M) @ Chesto Berry
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 6 Def / 252 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Curse
- Rest
- Return
- Shadow Ball

Again, the EVs are wrong. I'm just too lazy to remember 'em. I belive it runs careful...

Weezing (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 84 Atk / 174 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Haze
- Pain Split
- Thunderbolt
- Will-O-Wisp

thunderbolt? Eh, there are better substitutions. I like flamethrower personally.

Heracross (M) @ Salac Berry
Trait: Guts
EVs: 2 HP / 252 Atk / 2 Def / 252 Spd / 1 SAtk / 1 SDef
Hardy Nature (Neutral)
- Brick Break
- Megahorn
- Rock Slide
- Swords Dance

salac Berry is epic fail on heracross really. CBcross is by far the best heracross set, though it you want to run SD, I'd just say lefties. and what the hack is with the EVs?

One of the main things I need help with is the moveset for dragonite. It's just working. Any Ideas?

Eh. Heracross might give you trouble...you need a heal beller though...

Typically Jolly is better on Dragonite than Adamant, from what I know about him.

Just a general question: would Dragon Claw be better than Outrage? Because doesn't Outrage allow a Skarmory to come in and set up Spikes/ Stealth Rock/etc. ?

Anti Pop Culture Warrior
November 5th, 2007, 11:26 PM
Was so used to doing 4th gen rates I forgot dragon claw is special O_O

Replace with Brick break or something...maybe if you replace fire blast with HP flying, you could "relocate" fireblast to the last slot. lol

Dragonite @ Lum Berry
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 200 Spd / 58 SAtk
Lonely Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast/Hidden Power Flying
- Rock Slide

This Dragonite set should be more helpful. The speed should give a better boost and there's always Hidden Power Flying instead of Fire Blast. But Fire Blast should be useful with the nature not blocking the Sp Atk.

Dragonite has enough SAtk that it can run with jolly...lol, I think. But it really needs the extra speed.

0.o hmm? Why does Dragonite need a Lum Berry? I see no cause for Confusion.

And I believe lonely is +Attack - Defense

3RD GEN!

Also, you have Impish on Weezing. I'd go with Bold if you're going to use Flamethrower or Thunderbolt

You are correct on the nature. I just forgot to edit that. -.-

Lum Berry helps Dragonite more than it seems. Rather than confusion.

Dragonite has 245 Special Attack with an nature that leaves the special attack alone. I suggest that you leave the nature alone.

Starch that....

Pick on Dragonite's Defense stat since Dragonite can actually take a Special Attack. Its base SDefense is 100, I believe

whcih helps in dealing with weaker ice beams, like ones from starmie. I usually run adamant anyways, even if I use a special attack, and just add some EVs.

I've made some changes, and I will post the edited team when I do. The only thing is, I like the items on Heracross and Starmie. They both have proved to make a difference in the game, so I am hesitant to change them. Thanks for the help from all of you =)

I like the items on Heracross...

Salac Berry on Heracross was only used on the Endure+Reversal set but thanks to all the Sandstreamers/status-inflictions/etc. the set is rarely used anymore. Plus, chances are if your HP goes low enough to get the Salac-boost, he's pretty much screwed anyway.

Not eaxactly. though it is most common on the failure reversal set. though unless ansstorm is active, hera is fine on low HP.

Oh, chestorest = EPIC fail. Run lefties ALWAYS on snorlax, unless it's some novelty.

EDIT: Just woke up. Really bad grammar at the moment.

Metagross needs no Def EV's. So I would give all of it to speed.

Metagross @ Leftovers/Leichi Berry
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 140 HP / 252 Atk / 118 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Agility
- Earthquake
- Explosion
- Meteor Mash

The extra speed will prove to be assisting and Leichi Berry is worth consideration.

Heracross is not a Leftovers type pokemon. It's born into combat.

Heracross (M) @ Salac Berry
Trait: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 6 Def / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Brick Break
- Megahorn
- Rock Slide/Endure
- Swords Dance

Starmie @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 6 SDef
Timid Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Recover
- Surf/Rapid Spin

A Bolt Beam set is usually what Starmies needs. The speed will be enough to combat Gengar.

IMO Leftovers aren't really my thing for sweepers, I usually go with Life Orb, belts etc etc. but Heracross has Guts so why not try some Status Orbs for Hera?

Fine.

Heracross is not a Leftovers type pokemon. It's born into combat.

No...if the berry activates and you see skarm come in, expect roar or drill peck...so you'd either switch or kinda be forced to...bye bye salac boost. Pinch berries only work on certain pokemon, heracross not being one of them.

Heracross (M) @ Salac Berry
Trait: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 6 HP / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Brick Break
- Megahorn
- Rock Slide/Endure
- Swords Dance

Endure is made of epic fail *coughTTarcough* and I'd still run CBcross, as I've used both sets and the CB hera is far superior, but oh well...

Starmie @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 6 SDef
Timid Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Recover
- Surf/Rapid Spin

A Bolt Beam set is usually what Starmies needs. The speed will be enough to combat Gengar.

Who leaves gengar in against starmie? surf over recover.

Edit in bold. Don't get me started on why slalac berry isn't all people say it can be, bacause it kinda...no sugar coating this...it sucks.

It's 3rd gen Penguin...I mean, you're like, the 4th person to make that mistake...Netbattle = 3rd gen = ADV, for furure reference...

You have a bit of a TTar weak, so watch out...you better hope heracross isn't dead.

Talon9

If my Dragonite can get one dragon dance off before, he could beat TTar. Also my metagross could take it down same with starmie unless it has crunch. But since these options aren't as reliable as I might hope, it might take a few pokemon to take TTar down.

TTar doesn't need to win. But as long as it even TOUCHES the battle field, Sandstream would kick in - destroying all Endureversalers.
