Which FR-LG starter?

I've always started out with Bulbsaur in LG and Charmander in FR

i would have gone for charmander but i started the game again a few weeks ago and picked squirtle and don't regret it at all she's great (my squirtle is a girl nicknamed misty)

Competitively, Blastoise makes a nice spinner and tank but is more in the UU tier. It's a fine UUer if you prefer to go that route.

Charizard is a decent sweeper that does pretty well in OUs, but nothing amazing by any means.

Venusaur is my favorite battle-wise, as leech seed is tough to deal with and it's pretty bulky.

I've used all three in the games. Ingame, Squirtle is by far the best option IMO for many reason. But having Charmander turn into Charizard later in the game is also pretty awesome.

I never got LG but I have FR and I always prefered Charmander. Charmander is one of the best starter Fire types next to my Ultra favorite Cyndaquil, and Chimchar. With Charmander I don't need to catch the same old kanto flying types since his final evolution Charizard can fly. So I can add a powerful to the team like Nidoking, or Snorlax. Charmander is cute, and yet he's so powerful, perfect offensive pokemon for my team. The other two starters are ok, but Charmander is a versitle type Fire/flying, good mix.

I usually pick Charmander. Why?
A.) Where there are Charmanders, there are Suicunes. =3
B.) It's my Birthday Pokemon. (October 4th )
C.) I liek the Fire type. (FIYAH FIYAH!! 8D)

Um, not really. Venusaur is annoying with its subseeding power and whatnot, but it's prettuy easy to counter and isn't a real threat in OUs :/

Blastoise is one of the UUers that actually CAN survive in the OU tier, and tank/wall/spin stuff very effectively. It also has a tremendous movepool.

Charizard is really pathetic IMO. It's a ncie sweeper, but CBmence is a far better physical sweeper. Dnite can DD much better as well...Special wise, Mence still takes the cake :/ Charizard is, quite honestly, overrated.

I choose Bulbasaur, because it is the underdog of the trio. Also, I have both Blastoise and Charizard in D/P so I want to have Bulbasaur for a change.

Reasons? Charizard is my favorite Pokemon and in FR and LG you get Suicune after you beat the E4.

I've always stuck with Bulbasaur beacuse it gives you an advantage in the first few gyms. Plus, Bulbasaur is my favorite one!
