Romance Hero hasn't seen any of my writing, so I figured I'd post one.. lol.

this was a prose I wrote about someone I really care for, I wrote it for her one night and left it in her mail box... texted her so that she'd get to grab it and read it in the morning. It's about her fight with her demons.

She looked up to the sky, but saw no light.
And in this darkness, she clenched her hand, and nothing grabbed back.
She was alone. Alone in mind, body and soul. She was cold.
But sheer determination gave her the warmth to melt her tears away.
She calls out a name, and nothing responds, not even her echo.
But it breaks the silence.

In this void, the senses fail to comfort.
There is nothing to see, nothing to touch, nothing to hear and nothing to smell.
Nothing to taste, except for stale saliva and dried tears.

The silence is so loud that it drowns out the promise of her beating heart.
Everything remains still, it's as if the air was in a cup.
And like a cup, there's a way out.
To grow stronger, But there's no nourishment here.
It is through the self, and only the self, that the path can clear.

There is no such thing as one last sunset.
And like the sun, she must rise again.
She will learn what is to be learned about falling;
how the purpose of falling teaches her to get back up.

It is when she stands up again that the void will dissipate,
and the world will be seen in full color.
The void will shatter like a cold cup in hot water,
and when she looks up to the sky,
the warm sunlight will look back in response.

I really enjoyed (looking back) how it felt like a directional thing more-so than a prose. but heck, it took the sad out of her eyes, so it worked for me. it's writing like this that makes me realize how powerful my care for my friends are, and how effective it can be.

In the case of poetry, words move boulders farther than any strongman. xD I hope that made sense in what I'm trying to say. lol This is why I encourage creative writing: there is so much that could be expressed and it doesn't have to be in direct communication with another individual. If they can understand the pending message, then they would understand what you're trying to say to them, and how difficult it is to say it in direct context.

This was a great piece, Nacon. Why don't you make a thread for your work? :D
