HAI GUYZ! <--- I'm feeling awfully silly today... ^_^

I'm just curious as to what everyone's major is and what they plan to do with their lives after graduation. (Isn't that a scary thought?)

I'm an Art Education major. I suppose I'm going to go right to grad school for a Masters in Elementary Education. My parents are the ones who want me to go right to grad school. I suppose it will pay me back in the end, what with how low teacher's salaries are... -_-

Wooooord@the arts.

I'm not in college yet, but I plan on going for journalism or creative writing...something of that sort. Maybe a minor in political science or something.

:]

I'm Pre-law and I'm Majoring in Spanish.

lol.. considering I speak it pretty well, I know that sounds redundant, but I want to have formal documentation proving that I have formal training and command in a second language. It's definitely gonna be a good business asset in the, hopefully, near future.

I'm at Sheridan majoring in Classical 2D Animation, (and Stop-Motion, Cutout, and 3-D Animation, too.)
We also do concept at with Gouache, (a type of paint), character design, and layout drawing.

It's a lot of work, but it's pretty fun~ :3

I'm studying medicines, which means I will become a doctor. It doesn't really work with majors in medicines but that's what I'm going to be.

Med School is highly competitive, so if anyone's going for MD, they need to cater to what the schools are looking for.

I'm studying Biology (with a concentration in Zoology).
Honestly, I'd be happy just landing a position at a local vet clinic or hospital (but not as the vet). The natural world is just an interest of mine, and I love animals. A bachelors in anything really is all that's required to get your foot through some more doors.

well, I guess you could say I majored in graphic design, but to be honest I spent only 1 year in college before I got Pro classification in Photoshop. (by the way I only spent 1 year in that college because I realy didn't like it there after about a month. I also have no degree. I just have classifications and statuses. i guess what I really wnat to do is teach what I know, but I'm still learning that)

My profile on my college's website says my major is 'Liberal Arts' or something IIRC.

I'm running around taking classes towards a Liberal Arts degree, which I just call an English degree. If the colleges down south where I'm moving to have a program in history that focuses on Egyptology, then I'll get a degree in that and write historical fiction. If not, then I'll just be a copywriter.

I will be taking Mechanical Engineering. Which isn't boring if there's enough labs.

Killer robots FTW. Building one now...wait did I say that out loud?

Anyways, other things I've considered are some type of English, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Software Engineering, Physics, and some type of art. I could just spend the rest of my life picking up degrees in things I like, but for some reason I don't think that's the way to go >.>

Ah well. There's always the internets to teach me things.

Computer Science major here. I'm considering switching to the Math/Computer Science major, which is the same thing but more math. I'll decide in a year or two though, I guess.

I considered a minor, but I'd rather have a wide spread of electives instead of pretty much sticking in the math and arts faculty (since the only real minor I would take is French...), so that's not for me.

I'm at college, but what's a major?

I'm just studying a few interediate and higher level subjects they wouldn't let me do in high school because not enough people wanted to take the subject so they just never ran those classes for that year.

Are you at a community college? Because if you're at a four year university, you're required to have a major. A major is a focus for your education. It also dictates what kind of jobs you'll probably get in the future. Some can train you for one type of job. For example, my major is Art Education, and when I graduate I'll be certified to teach art from grades K-12.

I forgot to mention before that my minor is Psychology. ^_^

I don't know what a community college is - maybe its different here. Over here you don't get university-style courses in colleges, unless is a specialised college.

So I'm just at a regular college.

Oh yes, I have no minor in case you were wondering. I don't know any Freshman with a minor, so I don't know if we can have one here.

under the technicality that this is a videogame based forum... we can be considered geeks....

haha... I remember when VH1 mentioned that all the Dungeons and Dragons players have grown to become CEO's or just filthy rich geeks..... haha.....

I think we've got that going, the only thing is that pokemon don't get "elemental swords +4"

I am graduating from College with a Business Information Systems degree.
I am headed to Grad School to attain my masters in Instructional Technology.

If I find a job first, I wanna fix computers, be tech support, help people. As much as people suck and are stupid sometimes, I love fixing there computers.

I'm majoring in Chemical Engineering, and planning to minor or even double major in Math. At first, it was kind of boring and a lot of pointless work, but now, we're getting to the good stuff. I don't know what I'm going to do with these in the future though.

I have no notion on how the American education system works...
We don't have "majors". ^__^

I'm not at college yet, but I know I want to be doing Italian, AS/A2 anyone? :3
