View Full Version : Most forgetable Pokemon?

Lycoris

Which pokemon do you think you forget about the most? Don't include the ones you don't like. I mean, we all say magikarp is weak, but we never forget about him, so he isn't considered one.

For me, I would say...Yanma, I forgot it even exsisted until I noticed it's new evolution. Hardly anyone uses it, and it's very rare.

Qwilfish, Finneon, and just about any other generic water type.

I don't forget them, I just forget how they evolve/what generation.
I thought Dunsparce evolved into Gligar. (as a little one of course)
I thought that Marill was 1st Generation, Azumarill 2nd, and Azuril 2nd.
I think that there are others, just don't remember...

I say the most forgettable is Pinsir. I thought they decided to give it some recognition when Heracross was introduced. I thought Pinsir evolved into Heracross, but sadly, I was wrong (I think...)

For me it's probably Lanturn?

Anti Pop Culture Warrior
November 23rd, 2007, 06:06 PM
Lanturn is a beast boltbeam counter. But anyways, the most forgetabke is delibird. It isn't like dundisgrace nor magikarp-you know those. But you just forget about the weak little bird.

Qwilfish, Finneon, and just about any other generic water type.

*Cough* Qwilfish is not generic at all. It's the only one besides the Tentacool line that's Water/Poison and it's also the only water type that can learn Destiny Bond. It's also the most hilarious Kyogre counter in existence and anyone who has seen it work in that capacity would know better than to call it forgetable. xP

Aaaand the same goes for Dunsparce and its Serene Graced para-flinch hax (minus the bit about Kyogre countering, of course). Again, not a pokémon you forget in a hurry. And how could you forget about Delibird? Its sheer craptacularity makes it almost as legendary as Magikarp. x3

If we want a really generic water type: Luvdisc. Plain water, dull design, no evos and a wide yet generic movepool that doesn't do a thing for it because its statline sucks. If it weren't for Heart Scale (fixed in D/P where you can mine for them) I wouldn't even bother with the damn thing. xP

Pokémon I'd certainly want to forget about also include Happiny, Budew and their pointless baby buddies. (Togepi is an exception, since it's the only one of them that is a perequsite for its higher evolutions) The sheer horror of the baby boom won't let me be, though. o.o

Although no-one uses them for battle anymore...
But still, just so hard to forget y'know?

What's with all these S&M folks invading Pokemon General? I suppose it's the road for a higher post count and the feel smart that blank faces create?

In the first generation, Lickitung is forgettable. Despite the novelty (and niche) of using its tongue for everything, it cannot be encountered. Even after the trade of a Slowbro, who ever trained up a Lickitung?

As for the remaining generations, every Pokemon I forget about sometimes... Generation 1 is the only one I can probably recite (out of order).

What's with all the Qwilfish and Dunsparce bashing? I do understand that some people forget about them, but you shouldn't call them weak; they're surprisingly efficient if used well. D=

Anyway, for me, the most forgetable Pokémon is Bellossom; I have nothing against it, but I just always seem to forget about it. ._.
I'm pretty good at remembering Pokémon, but when this thread came up before at another community, the one that had me thwarted?

STANTLER.

I do. ;_; I can't forget it after the countless teams I've swept with one in Pokémon Netbattle. 8D I also remember when I first found one in Gold outside Ecruteak City; I thought it was really cool and after that, Stantler has always lurked in the back of my mind. :3

If that was supposed to be an insult, then I'm afraid you failed at it. =\ Competitive battler or not, everyone has the right to express their opinion, and who are you to judge us if we analyze Pokémon from a competitive standpoint? That doesn't make us any less worth than you, and you have no right to make assumptions about the reasons why we post here. You think we want to feel smart when you're the one making supposedly witty remarks about us; do you see something wrong in this picture?

It's a rib at the S&M folks rather than an insult. As for the rest of your comment, I've sent a PM.

To stay ontopic, forgettable Pokemon tend to be dead end Pokemon that have no use other than animal coverage in the Pokemon world. For me, that's Pokemon that cannot be caught during the natural course of the game and trained up as you play. I caught a Bellsprout and trained it to level 40 as I played, for fun. Pokemon like Farfetch'd and Mr Mime, require trades and are therefore not remembered by me. Neither can be evolved. It would also require losing an Abra and Spearow, both highly usable and evolvable ingame...

hmm..for me, it would have to be Ludicolo or Politoed. Although they're both exceptional good in battle, I constantly forget their names.

Alot of people are saying pokémon cintsantly used for battling and ones that arent forgotten really, imo.

I still think Kangaskhan and maybe Dunsparce or Qwilfish. [Which I had forgotten about beofre you guys said it]

I almost forgot about it until I went on Newgrounds.

That seems pretty mean dude. Just because a Pokemon cant evolve doesn't mean its worthless. As unoriginal as they are, legendaries dont evolve, but you dont here anyone complaining about that.

How so? Read the entirety of >this post< (http://pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=116817&page=2#41) and tell me if your response makes sense.

I actually remember Dunsparce for an embarrassing reason: I thought it was the first of the very strong three stage evolution everybody talked about. Only because they are both caught in the same place!
