well I'm sure everyones chained at least once, so lets hear your stories about a good one a bad one or just a weird one.


I will start.

So i'm chaining Electrike right? and i get to about four and then in comes a bidoof!
i hate bidoof.
they never let me get a chain above 4 >>

Well, once I was chaining Sunkern, my longest chain, no shiny yet, and then I pressed the power button. An idiot I am.

Well, my two best chains would be my first and current chains that produced a Shiny: Budew on a chain of 7, and Buneary on a chain of 3!! Both below a chain of 10!! :P

Sometimes I chain Absols compulsively, desperately hoping to conjure up a shiny.
I spend hours chaining away and yet my record so far is somewhere in the vicinity of 18...

anyway. The most horrible consequence of all of this - apart from the sheer ammount of life wasting - is imagining Route... 113, or whatever it is, covered from east to west in massacred Absols...

Crap! I only saw that there were east and west gastrodons and thought that because of that they didn't have a shiny form. I could have gotten a shiny Gastrodon! (like id want one...)

i suck at chaining soooo much my longest chain wuz like 12 dittos...

I'm really good at getting my chains really high but the shinies never want to pop up, then I get bored with constantly reseting so I try to continue increasing the chain, only to break it.

I chain lickitung like crazy whenever the sawrm pops up. In the meantime I'm chaining buneary.

I believe my highest chain is 82 on snubbull, then 72 on shinx and 68 on skitty.

My best chain was on Geodudes where I reached 84. I managed to bag myself 1 shuny Geodude from that.

I also got a 54 chain of Phanpys and got 2 shinies from that one, and on a chain of 46 I got my first ever shiny in the form of a Pidgey.

I used to be awful at chaining, but now I think I am pretty good at it, and could be one of the better chainers I hope. I'm not blowing my own trumpet here honest, but I suck at battling so I need to be good at something!

Off-topic: I have a feeling this will be locked and asked to discuss it in the Sinnoh Journal instead. Just a feeling lol. xD

Alright,so I'm chaining Miltank and then the chain's broken by Starly,that little buttmunch.I curse at it and say I hope it dies in a landslide,then start chaining again.It ends up being made up of Gastly and I just go with the flow.Ironically,the Pokemon I so desperately wanted to chain for a shiny version,Miltank,breaks it.W-t-f mate.

I was chaining for a ditto in firered, i got to about 21 and then i accidently ran into a trainer (Some noob trainer that i didnt battle) then i go back i find 2 more dittos, then a friggin bellspout comes..it was really annoying.
