ZOMG!.....WTF?!?!

My latest breeding project has taken the form of everyone's favorite turtle.....

Blastoise.

This time it isn't my infamous Ice Punch, Mirror Coater from my emerald days.
The child I want to breed is consistant of theese 2 dominant Eggmoves.
Fake Out and Aqua Jet.

As you can tell from the Egg grooups, Blastoise is in the monster/Water 1 egg family.
by that nature, the best pokemon to carry the eggmoves down is seel/Dewgong...which can pick up Fake Out through breeding with Smeargal.

After breeding for a female squirtle (which came up with excellent IVs for itself) and a male Seel with the Eggmoves in question. My project was an epic phail. :(

After 10 minutes of running around, no eggs......
When I talked to the old man, he said and I quote......

"The two don't seem to like each other".

This was appalling since both Serebii and Bulbapedia said that Squirtle can pick up both moves through Seel.

Any advice on what's happening would be greatly appreciated.

It doesnt mean blastoise cant breed with seel

It mean the chance of getting egg is less....i think it is 20%..maybe unlucky

12.5% every 256 Steps = "The Two Don't seem to like each other"

: / No thanks Hack...since most of Blastoise's weakneses are Sp.Atks...I dn't see counter being my friend. besides...that's a sponge-stoise...the same reason why I created "Teh Turtle"

Well regaurdless....There is an interesting game mechanic that I have found. Aparently you can not breed together 2 pokemon of the same ID number. So I had to rely on the GTS to pick up a female Blastoise to mate with my seel.

Long Story short...my job will consist of this now.

I can go double barrel action with "Teh Turtle" and "Turtle Jr."

There is an interesting game mechanic that I have found. Aparently you can not breed together 2 pokemon of the same ID number.

You can, my friend. I am breeding a brother and sister Sunkern (shudder) right now. ;)

Yes you can. -.-; You're problem was that you weren't patient enough. You would of gotten an egg eventually. Not being able to breed two Pokemon with the same ID would be ridiculous and frankly idiotic.
