Mario Vs Sonic

Sonic has always been my favorite character, though in terms of gameplay, Super Mario Galaxy has killed, buried, and desecrated the grave of anything Sonic Team has put out in their 3D forays. I did like the Adventures and some of Heroes, but they just pale in comparison to Mario's leap into 3D (minus the pun of a jumping plumber.) Back in the classics, though, I love Sonic side-scrollers so much more than the Mario counterparts.

And in Brawl, I foresee Sonic being a main of mine, even rivaling my love for Kirby, and leaving Luigi in the dust.

And in the series themselves, Sonic and Mario aren't my favorites.
Sonic: (old) Knuckles, Dr. Ivo Robotnik, (old) Tails and Shadow (Hmm... Where would anyone get that idea...?)
Mario: Luigi, Toad, Bowser, and Yoshi

So, Sonic wins by nostalgia. And Sonic Rush. Though Blaze is just dumb. And stupid ideas like Big make it a very close match.

Gah! They're both good game series! I can never choose between them!

Although, I wasn't too keen on Shadow the Hedgehog and it's "select your path" sort of gameplay (It's my opinion). Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 are my fave 3D Sonic games so far.

Out of the Mario series, I enjoy Super Mario World, Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy.

Well, it has to be sonic for a definate. why? i have liked sonic ever since i was 2, the retro games were amazing, so was Sonic Heroes upwards. Mario is equally good, but the newish games are ones i cant play because i dont have the console for it. SMB3 was my favourite, along with Super Mario World, and then the new super mario bros. good games, but nothing like Sonic the Hedgehog.

Shadow the Hedgehog imo was a good game.

I grew up in an NES house. My dad's most personal enemy was the Genesis. But since, I've played Sonic, and I think Mario is better. (Except for Mario Sunshine, nothing is as bad as that.)

I tend to switch between. About a month ago, I went completely into Sonic, but now with the release of Super Mario Galaxy, I'd probably choose Mario. It'll probably change again soon as well.

Sonic was the first ever game I played. He got me totally hooked on his games. I haven't played the Super Mario Galaxy yet but it looks like a great game. Got to wait till I go to my aunties house on christmas day to play her Wii.

Sonic is my favourite over Mario. I refer his earlier games to Mario's earlier games.
