Why does Sharp need Scarf? Usually, Scarfs are given to Pokemon in the 60 - 90 Speed Zone. You don't see people giving 'Vires Scarfs, do ya?

cause if he takes a hit from just about any high powered move hes dead. cant risk him taking a hit.
Sharpedo def=40
sp. def=40
Electivire def=67
sp def=85

Manectric is too fragile for Roar. Go all-offense with him.

Oh. Hmm......try Focus Sash and using it as an early game sweeper.

No, just no, Choice Scarf is good on him dakrknight. You;ve probably never faced one. Nothing wrong with the Sharpedo, hmm Kingdra I believe is OU, but anyways give him Swift Swim and Rain Dance, awesome combo.
BrainDamage

I dont think Kingdra is OU since its movepool is rather lacking, but I could be wrong

Well after getting Rain Dance help, it outspeeds a LOT of stuff, plus with defense, and it covers its only weakness with Ice Beam, so take out Dragon Pulse for Rain Dance and HP Electric in for Flash Cannon, and you;re pretty well equiped.

Kingdra is OU because
1. It's hard to kill in UU
2. It's too powerful for UU
I rest my case.

heres what i've thought up so far:
Sharpedo@choice scarf
Adamant: 252 atk / 252 spd / 6 hp
Earthquake
Crunch
Ice Fang
Waterfall
Stick with the Scarf since it doesn't get enough Speed.
Manetric@choice specs / Life Orb
Timid/Modest 252 sp atk / 252 spd / 6 hp
T-bolt
Flamethrower / Overheat
HP Grass / Hidden Power (Water)
Quick Attack
Quick Attack because of no better fillers. Use it to your advantage against Reversalers / Flailers.
Meganium @ Leftovers
Relaxed
208 HP / 136 Def / 164 SDef
Energy Ball/Grass Knot
Aromatherapy
Leech Seed / Synthesis
HP Fire/Earthquake
Weather conditions are the least of your worries in UU, so Synthesis is an optional choice. And if you intend on running Earthquake (which you really don't need to do IMO), then Relaxed is what you want.
Grumpig @ leftovers / Choice (Band / Specs) / Hooked Spikes
Calm
208 HP / 84 Def / 216 SDef
Psychic
Reflect
thunderwave
Trick
You don't use Trick Room for just 1 Pokemon. Then you'll slow everything else down to a crawl. Also, Trick Room is known to backfire.
Sudowoodo @ Leftovers
Impish
252 HP / 40 Atk / 216 Def
wood hammer
Stealth Rock
Rock Slide / Counter / Substitute
Rest
He does a much better job as a wall than he does at sweeping.
He can sweep, yes, but his Speed is far too poor to depend on Rock Polish, and Trick Room only has limited effectiveness.
Kingdra (swift swim)@ ???
Modest ??? sp atk ??? sp def ??? hp
rain dance
Surf
HP electric
Ice Beam
Replace.
in my absence, I may have forgotten a few pokes that might be BL or OU, the only one im not sure on its tier is Kingdra. anyway, make suggestions. I have yet to go entirely through the weaknesses this team may have, so dont focus entirely on that unless there's some GIGANTIC weakness.
Kingdra is OU, and shall be replaced. Since Pinsir can be a problem, run with this:
Altaria @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 248 HP / 176 Atk / 48 Def / 36 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Roost
- Dragon Claw
- Pluck / Aerial Ace
Meh. I have no idea.

Sadly everyone, most lists claim Kingdra to be Borderline. =/ While I heartily disagree, it appears to be a consensus amongst many. The reasons why have been stated: it's move pool sucks. It's stats are only above average and it has a hard time switching into most powerful attacks. It's only prominent in OU to set up Rain, which messes with Sandstorm teams and the activation of certain abilities (Dry Skin, Swift Swim, Rain Dish, Hydration). For this, they usually place Kingdra in what is called the "Faux" Tier for those who sit between OU and BL (even though BL itself is a faux tier as well).
However, I don't think Kingdra is necessary on this team anyway. A Rain Dance could really screw up certain members of your team (Sudowoodo, Meganium). And as Iceman has said, Pinsir is a problem in the lower tiers, so it's always best to have a counter (much like Heracross in OU). That's all for now I suppose.

60 base speed? Are you kidding me? There's a reason people don't scarf TTar...and people run garchomp which has 102 base speed ;/
And also, run an attacking move on manectric. Being choiced into Twave can be a nasty situation since Manectric is oh so fragile.

hmmm. now what if i give grumpig choice band/specs, trick it over to the opponent, then use torment to force a switchout...
and a question about trick: does the trade of the item last the while battle, or just till one of the pokes switches out/dies?
Iceman3k
December 5th, 2007, 05:40 AM
They're going to switch anyway. Torment isn't needed.
Also, Trick switches items for the entire battle.

Like I stated earlier, you can use Altaria. Or think of something that can attack with Speed and defend against Pinsir.

sudowoodo can actually be very annoying. here's what i run:
Sudowoodo @ Wide Lens/Leftovers
Adamant
240 ATK/120 DEF/148 HP
-Stone Edge
-Suckerpunch/Wood Hammer
-Taunt/Focus Punch
-Substitute
i love the sub+taunt set. it works perfect against physical walls and pokes like snorlax who come in for a curse. it managed to take out 4 OUs in one battle on its own. when and if it gets an evo, it'll definitely be a monster.
BrainDamage
December 5th, 2007, 07:20 AM
hmm.. id probably stick with sub+punch myself cause i need a powerful fighting move.
actually, type-wise, altaria could fit...lemme pull up moveset and EV spread
here we go:
Altaria@life orb
Adamant 72 HP / 252 Atk / 184 Spe
Dragon dance
Dragon claw
Earthquake
Roost
thats the most common one if im not mistaken. not sure if its the exact moveset i need....
