Heracross requires Speed, with a Scarf. Pursuit instead of Earthquake (lol)

Looks fine, changes in bold.
Earthquake is lol on this as it has basically the same type coverage and you do more with a STAB Megahorn or Close combat even when EQ is super effective.
Sleep Talk is good to abuse guts, otherwise go for Pursuit to lol at Dusknoir or things that inflict status then try and flee.

Heracross @ Occa Berry / Yache Berry / Coba Berry
Trait: Guts
EV's: 252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Megahorn
- Close Combat / Focus Punch
- Night Slash / Pursuit
- Stone Edge / Rock Slide. Defensive Set, for creativity I suppose.. The Berries are for reducing Super effective Set.s EV's are self-explanaoty. Two STAB Moves. And the rest is well.. Focus Punch is if you have good prediction, obviously. Rovk lide is you prefer accuracy and chance of flinching.

I'll copy my response from your thread:
But that set just fails. It you want it to wall something, I can't help you much. But really, what's the point of trying to tank with this thing? Its only decent defensive stat is SDef, which you totally neglected.
If you want to stall longer...or something...run the standard resttalk set.
And focus punch with no Atk EVs and really nothing to help it-especially on something meant more to take hits-I don't really get. Foucs punch is really only good on choice versions of heracross...
Okay, that's the end of the response. Really, please post sets that actually work.
And CBcross is better than its scarf brother IMO, there's not much wrong with the current set ;/
About that, no EQ. Sleep talk can be replacved with focus punch if you so choose. Stone edge over rock slide unless you just HATE its accuracy.

Actually, you're wrong. Scarfed Adamant Heracross w/ 252 Atk & Spd is more effective.

That's where you're wrong.
ScarfHera may have speed, but it gets walled waaaaay to easily even with Guts activation. CB Close Combat 2HKOs Skarmory and Forretress, even Hippodon if it switches into a Stealth Rock. Guts Pursuit nearly 0HKOs Dusknoir, it will 0HKO for sure if Dusknoir switches out though. ScarfHera doesn't have any luxurys at all, its just worse.

While CBHera is decent to run in general, in 4th Gen, it's getting outspeeded by everything in existence.
3rd Gen, there were no Speed Attackers. It was awesome to run with CB Heracross. 4th Gen, there's so much Speed attacking, that it's far too risky to run CB Heracross. Only thing you would accomplish is to attack Physical Walls, but that's about it.

Let's see, what are the counters to a ScarfHera? Forretress, Skarmory, Donphan, Weezing, Hippodon, Glisor, Dusknoir, Jirachi, bulky Gyarados and Salamence
BandHera? Weezing, Jirachi, and Gliscor?
Too much counters are a bad thing. What's the point of speed when you'll get walled by much of everything? Almost nothing can switch into CB Heracross, except pretty much the mentioned three?
ScarfHeracross really has no luxuries. There is nothing a ScarfHeracross can do that a CBHeracross can't do better. Except maybe outspeed a Jolly Dugtrio trapping to kill you with Aerial Ace, but that's about it :/

Celebi can also switch into everything except megahorn.
But the way I see it, my sweepers don't need speed. It might sound totally ludicrous, but just switch CBcross into blissey. Then you get a free hit (and likely a free kill) on any random pokemon if you're a top-notch predicter. It's quite tough to pull off, but it pays off HUGE when you get it right. also, if you disguise it well, you can make the foe think you have scarfcross. Well, they'll be realizing you don't :P
