Pinsir@Choice Scarf
Impish/Jolly: 252 Atk / 252 Def / 6 Spd (or 252 Atk / 172 Def / 86 Spd )
ability: Mold Breaker
EQ
Close Combat
X-Scissor
Stone Edge/Rock Slide
Tank Pinsir with speed boost. not entirely sure on nature/Evs/item
I'm not sure, but don't Tanks usually want some HP?
Electivire@Expert belt
Lonely
252 Attack, 56 Sp. Atk, 202 Speed
Ice punch
Thunderbolt
Earthquake
Cross Chop
pretty standard Electivire here. T-bolt for Skarwall.
Usually, MixedVires have more Sp. Atk, but it doesn't really matter.
Togekiss@leftovers (annoyer/special wall)
serene grace
Timid: 208 HP / 96 SpAtk / 204 SDef
air slash
aura sphere
thunder wave
roost
paraflincher/ special wall for extra support
OK.
Gengar @ choice specs (special sweeper)
Timid
252 SpAtk / 252 Spd / 6 Hp
T-bolt
Shadow Ball
Focus Blast
Energy Ball
pretty standard gengar,Energy ball to cover swampert, or other bulky ground or water types
This works, although SpecsGengar isn't too common (most use Hypnosis - Wide Lens)
Milotic@leftovers (mixed wall)
Bold: 158 hp / 252 def / 100 Spdef
Hypnosis
recover
ice beam
surf
mixed wall milotic. no, i dont want restalking.
I'm not sure, but does Milotic need all that Defense? I know it needs a lot, but max?
Steelix @ macho brace (physical wall)
Relaxed
252 hp / 172 def. / 86 atk
SR
stone edge/rock slide
EQ
gyro ball
may replace gyro ball with roar and give him leftovers
Do what Shiraishi suggested, and get rid of the Rock move.
Changes in Bold. I'm not sure I got everything right, though.

shiraishi wasnt talking about steelix, he was talking about pinsir. yeah i wasnt too terribly sure about evs on pinsir. i know he needs some hp at least, but i didnt know where to put it, so i left the evs the same as from the old thread from way back.
but then again, that wouldnt make sense since pinsir has choice scarf. i dunno what he meant
EDIT: nvm all that. i misread what shiraishi said

Um, run rest over that said rock move on steelix-it needs the recovery.
BrainDamage
December 6th, 2007, 03:50 AM
yeah, but then steelix sits for two turns useless, and i have no cleric to support him.
and if anyone could point out to me any weaknesses i may have, please share. (at the moment i dont have the time to go through them)

Get one. Nothing on your team can take status except milotic, and toxic is just nasty to face...if you can't get it cleric support, I'd go as far as to say you shouldn't even use it...IMO, it needs rest THAT much.

Im with Anti-Pop, no recovery, no more wallificness. And a lot of your team is botl beam weak, you might want to put in someone like bronzong in over Milotic.

1: since when is 2/6 a lot?
and
2: if i replace someone with a cleric, who, and for whom? (preferably not blissey)

The standard EVs for MixVire is 252Atk / 176Spd / 80SpAtk.
If you just go Wish>Roost on Togekiss, you could forgo Rest on Steelix and it also supports the rest of your team, most can't recover on their own.
Without ReSTalk Milotic, status will be pretty mean.

I'd replace togekiss for celebi, articuno (a fav of mine actually, watch out for SR though), or the pink puffball. /THE/ Killer Queen. Blissey :0:0:0:0
Eos Aduro
December 6th, 2007, 04:04 AM
4/6, Gengar gones if he gets bolt beamed anyways, and Miltoic is weak to both, wont get KO'd, but a mock boltbeamer with thunder and ice punch, like my Machamp, takes it down
BrainDamage
December 6th, 2007, 04:24 AM
midnight- thats still only 3/6: togekiss, milotic, gengar.
ah. your counting pinsir as 4th cause its def. not sp. def.
just because a bolt-beaming poke has teh ABILITY to kill 4 pokes doesnt mean its going to get the chance
you cant really count pinsir and gengar anyway because they're sweepers (pinsir having a defensive edge). any high powered move takes out sweepers. not just bolt beamers in particular
i suppose i must change to restalk milo...
i could switchout for celebi. just really hard to get the right nature and even harder IVs....
i have a tendency not to use legendaries for this reason, so i dont know what the moveset and EVs would be...
Luke
December 6th, 2007, 04:29 AM
Yeah, but the point is, if your walls can't handle hits that would help keep your Sweepers alive, you're done for. So get some walls that AREN'T Boltbeam weak or this team is severely disadvantaged.
BrainDamage
December 6th, 2007, 04:36 AM
then togekiss definately goes... celebi is weak to ice, so, as much as i wish it werent so, i need blissey
just'll seem kinda weird having the king of defense and queen of sp. def on the same team :/
Eos Aduro
December 6th, 2007, 05:09 AM
Togekiss takes bolt beam well, if EVed right, but its still risky. Anyways, if Pinsir gets hit by any move from a pory-Z, esepcially Tri Attack+Adaptability, its gone. So, why no Bronzong? Resists every move by every bolt beamer.
BrainDamage
December 7th, 2007, 01:32 AM
are you suggesting i replace pinsir with bronzong?
Eos Aduro
December 7th, 2007, 02:25 AM
No, im suggesting you replace Milotic with Bronzong, fits your team well, give bolt beam resist, can give out status, and supports a lot of your pokes well.
BrainDamage
December 7th, 2007, 03:01 AM
but then i have no one to combat dragons except electivire.
Shiraishi
December 7th, 2007, 03:02 AM
Use a bolt beamer as a sweeper then, like Porygon-Z, Starmie..other stuff.. >_>;
BrainDamage
December 7th, 2007, 03:15 AM
yes, i know what to put in, just need to figure out who to replace.... probably...
UPDATING TEAM: Loading...please wait
what's a bronzong moveset that doesnt include gyroball (cause steelix covers that)

Out of yourt options for steelix, definately SR. Rock moves aren't really useful on it at all. IMO. I mean, what gyro ball and EQ hit cover enough, stone edge or Rock slide are just putting too much icing on the cake, so to speak.
Though I prefer roar over SR as well, that's more personally opinion than anything factual, so it's your call.

You could go Rain Dance, halve any fie damage done to him. Or Calm Mind.
