I'm not sure if this thread belongs here, but anyways:
Sadly, my first game console that I've ever owned died a little while ago. it still works (as in turning on) but it never reads any games. What's really sad is that my favorite games were on it. I had:
Pokemon Stadium
Pokemon Stadium 2
Hey you Pikachu!
Donkey Kong 64
Super Smash bros.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Banjo Tooie
Mario Cart
Super Mario 64 (which I lost)
EDIT:
Yoshi's Story
Kirby and the Crystal Shards
Anyways, did any of you have the same problem and what games did you have for it? Any favorites?

That's sad sweetie. =/
Well sweetie, nope sweetie none of my consoles have died on me. I had plenty of games for N64, and you already named most of them. My have games were Super Mario 64, OoT, Starfox 64, Pokémon Stadium 2, Hey You Pikachu!, and Perfect Dark.
I know this may be a dumb question, but did you trying blowing the carts and see that worked? XD
Well sweetie, I'm sorry that your console stopped working, but there's always eBay.

None of my consoles or portables have died on me. Once my SuperNES stopped working but that was because I needed a new battery/adapter/plug-thing. As far as games though, The Jungle Book for the original Game Boy stopped working very early on and my Super Game Boy eventually ended up clearing the data on my Game Boy games. :\

If you really want to get those games back, and are willing to spend about 50 bucks in total, a few N64 games are already available (and even more to come, apparently) on the Wii's Virtual Console service, if you have a Wii, that is.
Either way, it's really sad to see that happen. =/ It's a big disappointment whenever a console dies. D:

yeah, I'm really excited to see what games come out on the wii. I'm really excited to get TLoZ: Majora's mask. i really hope that comes out :). Oh, and I did forget some games. I also had Yoshi's Story and Kirby and the Crystal Shards. Yeah, I have tried blowing on the cartages, but nothing works anymore. :/ Well, I hope that Nintendo actually puts up all of the good games on the wii shop channel. It's a shame if none of those awesome games get to be played again. jbeeber, dang that really sucks. No, only Yoshi's Story, THe Orcarina of Time, some jetski game, Paper Mario, and a shooter game are out for wii from Nintendo 64.

Why don't you just download an Emulator for N64 if you want it back so bad?

I don't want to hack or anything. I'll just wait for games to come out.

Well sweetie, it isn't hacking really, it's just a way to play console games on your computer.
But in my opinion really, emulation doesn't have that "authentic" feeling to it.

only one thing which stopped working was my good ol' C64. it kinda still worked, but the picture was off and the sound was just hissing.

Yeah, exactly. Even though I don't think I would even be allowed or want to do it, it just doesn't feel right to play it on something other then what's the game is originally meant for.
