Welcome to the Scrapbox! This forum exists solely for your ideas for hacks - be it story lines, features, etc.

Non-approved threads from the Hacks Showcase will be moved here (except for stub threads). This forum intends to be a liberal version of the Hacks Showcase, but just as much, it is not for the general display of hacks and any threads that meet the Hacks Showcase requirements will be moved. If you need ideas for a specific hack that you've already got in the Hacks Showcase, you may create a second thread and offload your ideas for the hack here.

Hacking group threads cannot be proposed here and are still bound to the Team Discussions forums.

If you have your own ideas, we ask that you write them out. Freely write as much as you can on it (at least a paragraph of an idea). We invite other members to openly, but constructively, criticise the ideas written down in this forum. Just note though, that constructive criticism aims to help the member. As a general rule of thumb, if your reply doesn't exactly help it, your reply may be in breach of the rules set here.

Of course, there are general ground rules for this forum listed below, as well as definitions that will be used in this forum, particularly for moderation.

[css-span="color: #345a8a; font-weight: bold; font-size: 16pt;"]Scrapbox posting[/css-span]
[css-span="color: #76903a; font-weight: bold; font-size: 11pt;"]This forum is bound to rules that are set by the global PokéCommunity rules.[/css-span]
By posting in this forum, you agree that your posts meet rules set in the [url-inline="showthread.php?t=91723"]PokéCommunity global rules[/url-inline] as well as the rules set from here on. There are no exemptions made for this forum.

[css-span="color: #76903a; font-weight: bold; font-size: 11pt;"]The general threads in this forum should not be asking for ideas.[/css-span]
The premise of this forum is indeed for ideas, but if you're going to ask around for ideas, the stuck threads in this forum exist for them. Don't create a thread asking for ideas since such exists! If you have a big idea, you should post it here, though.

[css-span="color: #76903a; font-weight: bold; font-size: 11pt;"]"Help threads" restrictions.[/css-span]
Help threads are not permitted in this forum unless the hack thread in hacks showcase is considerably large (exceeding 20 pages of posts, for instance).

[css-span="color: #76903a; font-weight: bold; font-size: 11pt;"]No asking for hacking help outside the stuck threads.[/css-span]
While this forum has threads for help with hacks, it is not a forum for recruiting staff or requesting hack help. If your thread is a stub idea and it's asking for help, the [url-inline="showthread.php?t=57742"]Help Recruitment thread[/url-inline] in the Team Discussions forum is for you.

[css-span="color: #76903a; font-weight: bold; font-size: 11pt;"]This forum prohibits ROM files and patch files.[/css-span]
You can't post ROM files anyway (unless the ROM is not a commercial game), but if you have working samples of your game that are intended for prime-time, your hack can already go to the Hacks Showcase. You can, however, post patch files to patch issues in games, etc.

[css-span="color: #76903a; font-weight: bold; font-size: 11pt;"]Constructive criticism is open, flaming and trolling is not.[/css-span]
You are allowed to constructively criticise an idea that comes in. However, flaming in this forum is not tolerated and is considered anti-social.

[css-span="color: #76903a; font-weight: bold; font-size: 11pt;"]Definitions on "stub threads".[/css-span]
Ideas for your hack, or any thread you post in Hacks Showcase or here, should not be stub content - it should be detailed. Generally, anything with a single sentence of text (excluding any questions or comments in the sticky threads) will be removed from the forum.

And that's all! We're trying to keep the moderation light, so don't feel restricted in what you post (unless it's a stub or a thread asking for ideas, of course.)

Thanks for reading![/css-div]
