In prism, how do you get past the cave with the lights after you beat the first gym

You need to catch an electric Pokemon (Mareep and Voltorb are available). Go into the dark cave and use one of the fuse boxes (which glows in the dark) to turn on the lights. Then search around for 5 dynamite while fighting the Pallete Patrol. Afterwards, take the other path to meet with the man thats blocked. Use a fire Pokemon to light the fuse and you're out.

in brown, there is a guy somewhere who wants you to get him something and he'll give you something in return.
I'm guessing that he gives you HM04 Strength, but where do I get the thing to give to him? In the safari zone?
Speaking of the safari zone, what's at the "end" of it? I found a ladder that leads me to victory road (where I need strength),
but that's it.

I've tried emptying out my pack and picking it up but, it still told me that there wasn't enough room. Since i haven't seen that problem with anyone else, I can assume that it's my ROM and I'll just re-download it and start again.

Hi,
I tried to trade some of the Zoo donation pokémon from my Pokémon Brown ROM to my Prism ROM on a emulator in my computer.

It might be your emulator, but I'm not sure. I removed the time reset function too to somewhat prevent cheaters. Thanks, glad you like the game! :)

Yeah, it's probably a SRAM compatibility problem between the two emulators.

Is there a way to implement it in the game but add some sort of penalization to discourage cheaters ?
Like having the in-game events on hold for a week or maybe have the player lose some of is money to do it ?
I'm sure a lot of people would like being able to fix the clock for severals reasons other than cheating.

There is another path you missed. Before the stairs that go to the dynamite man there are stairs that lead down. This is where you search for the dynamite.

HM04 is on the northwest part of Hayward City.

By the way, to access the gold rock, you need to complete the dynamite quest. The explosion will shift most of the cave's maps around, and will open a path to the gold rock. You don't need to "use" the mining pick, just stand next to the rock and push A to use it.

Yeah, but just because you got the shoes doesn't mean you have done everything the beta has to offer.

It's an empty room in this beta, the next version will have more pens so you can donate even more Pokemon.

Read the previous post. The "gym" is actually a forest in Heath Village. Go south right upon entering. You'll find a big "gateway"-type thing. Enter it to find the gym.

In Pokemon Brown I assume? On the very top floor of the Department store in Hayward City, there is a vending machine. One is labled "Fresh Water." Buy it, but instead of Fresh Water, a Keg of Beer will pop out! :laugh:

Well when im hungry I go and find a place to eat, it is a bit difficult when you are guding something, or can't because you are really hungry.

You can pick up some food at the mini mall in the northeast of the city.

Some times it is good to have a break and do somthing else. Though he is not the one working on Rijon Adventures at the minute(i expect he will be giving some input though).

Go right from the Heath Village and when you see a cut tree,cut,go through all those trainers
You go into the city and explore the houses until you find the Run shoes shop

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but I was playing Brown today I notice it was all grey like in Red and Blue versions (I'm using Red to play the hack)

When I looked at the screenshots for Brown at the World of Rijon site I notice they were all colored like in the Yellow version.

On Route 61, you'll have to get there by going through Castro Forest.

It's probably you, I haven't heard of that problem even once.

If you need help finding an area, just use the town map, and if you didn't get that, just go into a house and look at the NPC's town map.

Having some trouble with Pokemon Brown.

In the cave to the right in Eagulou City there is a glitch. On my way to finding a legendary I got stuck for some reason. Suddenly I the character turns to the left/up and start bumping, lol. The only thing I can do is use dig to escape.

What to do?

Btw, I've tried different roms, and different ips-patches. ( 1.1 from zophar and the final on the homepage, but with no result.)

Sorry for the delayed responses to both. Anyway, theres two paths on the first map you enter from the Route. Take the path that goes upstairs, and you'll meet a miner who's trapped. Give him the dynamite and light the fuse with a fire Pokemon (Vulpix and Cyndaquil are available), and you'll be free to the next city. Cyndaquil is the reward after beating the master in the Oxalis City Rookie Trainer Hall.

Okay Thanks. I had allready figured this out it just took me using an escape rope. I believe on of your ladders in the cave is bugged as ever time I would try and go up it I would land back on the same level of the cave.

It's in Oxalis City, a new house thats very close to the pokemon rater's house. However not all sprites will be available to you, it's based on your sex.

before that path u say to stop the flow of water by pushing boulders, but to where? There are boulders upstairs from the cavern where the legendary is held, but there are no holes to push boulders into. And is that got to do with this problem of being stuck?

I know about this problem, and for some reason theres people who don't encounter it (like me when I was testing it...). Either way it'll be fixed in the next version of Brown.

In the next beta, am I going to be able to continue where I left off at the end of this one?
And what evolutions did you change? I noticed that Larvitar evolved at lv 21, and that something else evolved early...
And how exactly is wood super effective against steel? I've never exactly been able to break metal with a stick.

I knew I would get this kind of comment. Don't get mad, but I'm wondering if you cheated, because the NPC doesn't check how many dynamite you have, he checks if you picked up all of the item balls. I did this because I knew someone would throw away some of his dynamite for no reason, and be stuck. If you didn't cheat, I'd like to check your sav file, because thats the first time I've ever heard that happening.

In Brown I just beat Team Rocket for the first time. Am I suppose to get the beer for the guard (and if so, where?) or am I suppose to do something else?

Right, so anyway I've been playing brown and I got stuck. I have the red amulet but no idea what to do with it, I think I read that you give it to the safari warden but I have no clue where the safari zone is. Also, where do you get the virus scanner?

I'm playin brown and for some reason pokemon dont show up anymore in the grass or ocean or anywhere. I can only do the trainer battles. Does anyone know whats up with my game? It started after I finished the silph warehouse i think.. i realized the problem when i flew back to get a pidgey to trade to the girl for a chansey.

They don't have cloth, they have wool, and you need to take those to a house in Heath Village and a woman there will weave them for you.

You can get the Keg of Beer, but at this stage those items don't actually do anything. And the Bike can be taken up Cycling Road, I think?

Uhmm.. this will sound stupid but i can't get the pokedex on RijonAdventures. I've beaten my rival, i wanted to go to the Merson Cave, but the Hiker says i need a Pokédex... But when i talk to Jen, she doesn't give me anything, and i can't take the Pokédex myself... i thought i downloaded Beta 5, so it should work....

Well, I've been trying to play Prism, but...
I can't patch it.
I've got IPS Win and I can't figure out which files I have to put in. I have the patch and the game files (apparently) but can't get it started. It'll say it patched it, but then it my VBA won't load it.

anyways, i was playing brown fine (with an understrength team lv.15-23, 1 badge) when i went to that city with the game corner (forgot the name) after leaving the place, i went south and fought this surfer with a lv.29 goldeen, lost, and revived in the poke center in hayward city. i left the center, and found myself in the safari zone warden's room. I left the room and found myself in a surf-reached area with a cave entrance due north (im guessing rjion cave?) i exited the cave and now im stuck in the city where the park is.
any help? im thinking its a bad rom but i used that rom to patch aabother hack before and it worked fine, so idk.

Well, i have a problem with pokemon Brown, when battling the 5th gym leader and his trainers the ending sequence is probably not terminated properly, which causes trainers to battle with you over and over again [like you encountered them 1st time, and because they attack you immidiately after you end your previous fight with them, you're stuck], and the leader is not giving you your badge [the whole after-fight talk is missing], and will fight you everytime you talk to him. Also, there are some bugs in areas like Castro Forest, where you go down the stairs and cant go back to the forest cause the area is messed up and stairs do not work, like in the "Pokemon Mansion" in castro valley, where you can't do anything except going back to the city, cause none of the stairs there even work. Is this normal? Or is it because i patched my blue version instead of red? I'm pretty far in the game and i dont want to start all over again {my pokes are like all lv.46}, please help!

PS: CBM, are you planning on making the trade-only evolving pokes evolve normally? Cause it would be very nice having a Golem and Alakazam instead of Graveler and Kadabra at lvl 45+

Bingo. You can use the same save file from blue into Red I think, so just get a red rom, and use the same sav file from the blue version and it'll work fine.

It's a glitch, but you can't do anything over there until later.

Same as the other versions, but the next version will probably have evolution stones for those Pokemon instead.

Well, I tried it before, but it seems like save games and states from blue aren't compatible with red and vice versa. Anyways, I started a new game and I'm after Leauge already. Great work with this hack, but i'm still against putting pokes from 3rd/4th gen into the game. Well, probably it's just me...
