Shiny zapdos help =(

So i been trying to get a shiny zapdos in fire red for a week now, and their is no sign of it.

am i missing something or is it just really hard to get?
Is their a way to raise my chance of getting a shiny zapdos???

PS... i havent beaten the elite 4 yet, i started to think that may be the reason.

I think it just takes a really long time. Keep trying. Its bound to show up eventually. I really don't think that the elite four has anything to do with it...

A Shiny pokemon has a random rate of appeareance, so beating the Elite 4 doesn't make a change.

The only way to get it is trying again and again, until it appears as Shiny (This may take a lot of time) and then capture it.

You could use a Pokemon with Thunder wave to Paralyze it and then a pokemon with False Swipe until Zapdos has just 1 HP left you will capture him easily.

i can capture it no problem. makeing it shiny is a pain in the ass

You don't have to beat the elite 4 to get a shiny in the wild. Its only between 1-8000 something % chance to get a shiny. Also if you want a shiny zapdos have fun... I think its really rare to obtain a shiny. Well just remember to save the game in front of zapdos and if its not a shiny reset the game and do it again, but don't turn off the game, because then you would have to start back over...

Well sweetie I believe the chances of getting a shiney is 1 in 8,192.

The best thing to do is to save right in front of the Zapdos and then do some soft resets (A+B+Start+ Select for GBA and Start + select + R + L for DS), till it becomes shiney. All you need is some patients. Besides, catching legendary shines is a little too easy.

Just be happy you're hunting that chance, I was dumb enough to just capture it w/o it being shiny...
