Blissey goes Battling and Contesting!

I don't mean to brag, but I'm kind of good with Blissey. Only, this time, I wanted to make a Battling Contester Blissey (like what I did with Dragonite) so that my Emerald could have what I call an "everything Pokémon".

The honor fell to Blissey. Anyways, I'm a bit tired of doing the same Blissey for FireRed and Diamond, so I wanted to have a change for my Emerald Blissey. She will be a Contest winner and a Frontier champion.

At first I thought of giving her a pseudo-BoltBeam combo with the classic Softboiled-Aromatherapy combo. So... how is the set provided, and is there any better one?

Blissey @Leftovers/Contest Scarf
Ability: Natural Cure
Nature: Bold (-Atk, +Def)/Modest (-Atk, +SpAtk)
Softboiled
Aromatherapy
Thunderpunch
Ice Punch
EV's: 212 HP, 252 Defense, 44 Sp Atk

use ICe Beam and T-Bolt instead of Elemental Punches , Blissey had a Pathetic attack stat.

But how does Tbolt and Icebeam help in Contests? Remember this is Emerald.

This is 3rd gen, when all electirc and ice attacks were special.

I think I WILL go on with the set I had.... seems like I can't find anything better. But is there a better battle/contest set?

It's not really that hard to be good with Blissey lol. And really, pretty much anything can win contests, as long as you know how they work and give them a whole bunch of contest berries.

Just get two different pokemon for contests, and one for battles. Because having physical attacks on blissey is not going to work, let's face it.

yeah... but it doesn't really matter if they're is an all-in-one pokes contests are generaly worthless IMO

They're useless anyways, ice beam and thunderbolt FTL.

I don't know much about contest movesets, but I know serebii does them if you want to check there. BTW...

Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Seismic Toss
- Aromatherapy
- Ice Beam
- Softboiled

Best set in ADV by a mile, otherwise McGar is really going to bug you w/o ice beam. there are other EVs, but I'm too unfamiliar with them to post. lol

Argh, I didn't know Blissey can't use the Punches. So i'm back to square one...
