Ok I have some questions....
I am going to start a hack and I don't know what version to hack.
My ideas are

so which one should it be?

Also What should the name of it be?

Pokemon:Crystalite Version

Pokemon:Stalagmite Version

Pokemon:Graphite Version

Pokemon:Slate Version

Pokemon:Rubble Version

Pokemon:Gravel Version

Pokemon:Boulder Version

So if you could help me out it would be greatly appriciated!

Hack fire red, because you don't have to start out in the truck.
I don't know why, but pokemon rubble version seems cool.

FireRed has many extra maps for ya if ya want a hack with a lot of new maps. ^^
But it's your decision, and we respect your decision, and oh, btw, Emerald, is not a very stable ROM to hack, and if ya want to hack Emerald, be sure to SAVE BACK-UPS often. :D

Hack Emerald! FireRed hacks are getting too old. Plus Emerald already has a phone, berry system and a clock for day-night.

As for the name, I was really drawn to Slate version, I think it sounds the best.

It's hard to say. I'd say Pokémon Granite... it's not from the list, but it's similar. And I'd say hack with Fire Red or Ruby, it's hard to choose between those two. Try to keep away from Emerald hacking...

(Which means either the screen will turn white as soon as you start playing, or the game will restart sometime during gameplay)... So try to keep away from Emerald hacking unless you're super-interested.

If ya don't wanna deal with Emeralds unreliability... Go FireRed. It's solid and reliable. Also, if you don't want to bother changing graphics like palletes, FireRed's base graphics are good enough you can use them and still have a nice looking hack. If you ask me, Emeralds Trees look like overgrown shrubs...

Before a moderator gets to close this thread, I should just tell you to hack Ruby... it has less room, but it is a bit more original, and it is more stable. (It's harder to insert tiles, but it's very reliable).
The best thing you can do is insert tiles from Fire Red and put it in Ruby, that always works. ;)
