Questions about Pokerus

I recently when to heal my Pokemon when I was told from the nurse about my Pokemon having Pokerus. I found this strange because the only Pokemon in my whole party that had ever had Pokerus was my Palkia I got in a trade and he has a little orange face next to him indicating that he's already passed him Pokerus stage. So here are my questions.

Why did the nurse tell me I had Pokerus when my Palkia has already passed it's Pokerus stage?

Does Pokerus affect the total EV points given in battle including the Power Items or does it only affect the original EVs given by the Pokemon?

I don't even have my copy of it yet, so it might not be much help, but here you go anyway:

I think that the smily face means you still have Pokerus, but can no longer pass it on (and thus you should still be getting 2x EV gain)

It does affect the Power Items as well, so 1 Speed EV from a Pokemon, plus 4 from a Power Item = 10 with pokerus

Are you sure none of your other Pokemon has PKRS atm? You might just have deposited it into a box or something.

Well I can't really remember how to tell if they do or not to be honest. Is it a blue face next to them?
