Dragon Collecter 008
July 6th, 2004, 10:06 PM
Ok heres how it goes first a person picks a pokemon and then gives a clue to guess it and if 10 people post and get it wrong then they give another clue and sooo ....... on and the first person to guess goes next
So i will start....... this pokemon eats pidgey eggs.
tmbjr
July 7th, 2004, 01:01 AM
Is it Ekans? I have it's pokedex data on my screen in my blue version.
Toothache
July 7th, 2004, 01:05 AM
Yeah, that's correct. I actually posted that right, then deleted my post cos I misread the post (BTW Dragon_Collector_008, this topic confused me to begin with, so I deleted the right answer :-( )
Anyway, go on, give us a clue about the Pokemon you are thinking of, tmbjr?

July 8th, 2004, 05:21 AM
I think both Ekans and Sneasel are right...
ravenstorture
July 8th, 2004, 03:40 PM
Ya, because it could be both of them.
Toothache
July 8th, 2004, 04:06 PM
I mean, tmbjr had his Pokemon Blue's Pokedex in front of him, so it must be both of them
Dragon Collecter 008
July 8th, 2004, 06:32 PM

tmbjr
July 8th, 2004, 07:06 PM

This pokemon is shy and rather rare in RBY and GSC.
Pogiforce-14
July 8th, 2004, 08:03 PM

tmbjr
July 8th, 2004, 10:44 PM

Flygon trainer
July 9th, 2004, 01:20 AM
Yeah, lapras could be right.. because he said rare, not hard to find, and lapras is one of a kind in RBY..
tmbjr
July 9th, 2004, 01:51 AM
Yeah, lapras could be right.. because he said rare, not hard to find, and lapras is one of a kind in RBY..
That is true and all, but when did a gym leader ever use a Lapras?
Flygon trainer
July 9th, 2004, 02:02 AM
That is true and all, but when did a gym leader ever use a Lapras?
Gym leader Misty used Lapras in GSC. along with a golduck, quagsire, Starmie, and another I have forgotten.
lil' jose
July 9th, 2004, 05:27 AM
yep thats when she used lapras.
tmbjr
July 9th, 2004, 06:57 PM
Gym leader Misty used Lapras in GSC. along with a golduck, quagsire, Starmie, and another I have forgotten.

Flygon trainer
July 9th, 2004, 07:01 PM
so it was correct, but it was not correct. then again clefairy was kinda correct as well...

Eliana
July 9th, 2004, 07:07 PM

Flygon trainer
July 9th, 2004, 09:03 PM
Tangela right? I hope so...
Toothache
July 9th, 2004, 09:15 PM
Let's sum up the clues we have so far
1: Shy and rather rare in both R/B/Y and G/S/C.
2: Was used by a Gym Leader once
3: Is a Grass type.
Let's see... Chikorita is considered shy but not in R/B/Y. Something rare... are we looking at Tangela?
tmbjr
July 9th, 2004, 10:15 PM
Tangela right? I hope so...
correct! your turn next. XD
I made the hardest one so far XD
Flygon trainer
July 9th, 2004, 10:27 PM
Hmmm.. this one is going to be easy for you people:
it was a bug type that was impossible to find in Blue.
tmbjr
July 9th, 2004, 10:31 PM
I know the answer, but for the sake of prolonging the game (and I don't wanna come up wit ha new pokemon and new clues() I'll throw my guess and say Weedle XD
Toothache
July 9th, 2004, 10:44 PM
Is it Scyther? That was a bug type that was in one of the games only :-)
Flygon trainer
July 9th, 2004, 10:52 PM
Is it Scyther? That was a bug type that was in one of the games only :-)

Toothache
July 9th, 2004, 10:57 PM
Woot, alrighty! Let's see, thinking of a hard one...
Clue 1: This pokemon can poison trees.
tmbjr
July 10th, 2004, 06:27 PM
I'm guessing that it is a poison-type then...
Beedrill (random guess >.<)
Eliana
July 10th, 2004, 10:02 PM
Erm.....yeah i would think it is......spinirak???
Tormentedsoul14
July 11th, 2004, 09:35 PM
Swalot?? Just a random guess.
Toothache
July 11th, 2004, 09:41 PM
Nope nope and nope. Sorry guys, the next one might give you a better clue.
Clue 2: This pokemon is grass type
rayquaza master z
July 12th, 2004, 01:21 PM
umm nidoking?
i dont know
Toothache
July 12th, 2004, 02:22 PM
Nidoking isn't Grass type.
Clue 3: This pokemon has an evolution
Kaylee
July 12th, 2004, 02:59 PM
Lets see...could it be weedle?
Toothache
July 12th, 2004, 03:05 PM
Again, weedle isn't Grass type, it's Bug.
Clue 4: This pokemon evolves by levelling up
Toothache
July 12th, 2004, 03:15 PM
No, it's not Gloom. Nice idea though
Clue 5: This pokemon has one type. But it's evolution, has two types
Eliana
July 12th, 2004, 05:11 PM
Hmmmm.........
weepinbell? lol
Toothache
July 12th, 2004, 05:15 PM
Not Weepinbell, but a nice idea.
Clue 6: This Pokemon was not in Blue/Red/Yellow versions
tmbjr
July 12th, 2004, 05:34 PM
hmm...I know this one...*checks the pokedex at pokefor.tk*
Is it Shroomish?
Eliana
July 12th, 2004, 05:34 PM
could it be cacnea? the cactus thingie? lol
Toothache
July 12th, 2004, 05:40 PM
Actually, tmbjr got it right, it was Shroomish :-)
You're up, slugger...
Eliana
July 12th, 2004, 05:46 PM
lol >_< i thought it would be no really i thought it was either seedot, shroomish, or cacnea i just said one XD
tmbjr
July 12th, 2004, 06:16 PM
my turn, eh?
ok...In R/B this pokémon evolved from a fairly common pokémon , but is found on only 3 routes itself.
Jaden Korr
July 12th, 2004, 06:23 PM
Raticate? Piggeotto? It's either one or the other.
Toothache
July 12th, 2004, 06:27 PM
Spearow :-) That's my guess
Eliana
July 12th, 2004, 06:29 PM
Erm krabby? just a random thought......
tmbjr
July 12th, 2004, 06:48 PM
Spearow :-) That's my guess
uhh...Spearow evolves from something? Try again XD
Clue#2: It is a flying type.
Toothache
July 12th, 2004, 06:49 PM
Ok, how about Fearow? Sorry, didn't read it properly (it's nearly midnight here, so it's kinda late)
Eliana
July 12th, 2004, 06:58 PM
erm......
:S ya thats gotta be it otherwise pigeotto
Tormentedsoul14
July 12th, 2004, 08:22 PM
Butterfree? I don't know y i said that >_<
Da_Green_Teddy
July 12th, 2004, 08:40 PM
It is definitely either Fearow or Pidgeotto, they were both only found on three routes. We need another clue to narrow it down.
tmbjr
July 12th, 2004, 09:58 PM
Ok, how about Fearow? Sorry, didn't read it properly (it's nearly midnight here, so it's kinda late)
you were the first one to say Fearow. That means you win this one.
Yay for you!!! ^_^
Eliana
July 12th, 2004, 10:00 PM
Yay toothache! Your good! ^^
Toothache
July 12th, 2004, 11:06 PM
Ok, let's begin.
Clue 1: This Pokemon gives off a glare like the sun
Tormentedsoul14
July 13th, 2004, 01:48 PM
Arbok not sure why though >_<
Da_Green_Teddy
July 13th, 2004, 01:49 PM
Solrock? I really don't know...
Tormentedsoul14
July 13th, 2004, 01:55 PM
I thought it was solrock but then it said Clue 1: This Pokemon gives off a glare like the sun and then I thought it was talking about the attack glare.
Toothache
July 13th, 2004, 01:57 PM
No, I can see where you're going with Arbok, but no, that's not quite what I meant.
Clue 2: This pokemon exists in R/B/Y and is also wild in Gold/Silver/Crystal. They also appear in only one place in each series of games.
Tormentedsoul14
July 13th, 2004, 02:21 PM
I have no idea Im out of ideas Arbok was the only thing I had. A type would really help. :D
Toothache
July 13th, 2004, 06:59 PM
Well, if you don't make a guess, I won't post a clue... :-p
Tormentedsoul14
July 14th, 2004, 12:15 AM
ummm Ponyta? Or Rapidash??? Just random guess' that use some what of a glare effect.
Toothache
July 14th, 2004, 12:16 AM
No, but you are in the right area
Clue 3: This is a fire type Pokemon
Tormentedsoul14
July 14th, 2004, 12:26 AM
I beleive it is magmar. that is the only other guess i have.
Toothache
July 14th, 2004, 12:28 AM
Yes, it is Magmar :-)
Aww, and I was gonna drag that out a bit. Oh well
Your turn. Think of a pokemon and a clue about it
Tormentedsoul14
July 14th, 2004, 12:32 AM
Ok
Clue 1:This pokemon uses toxic spikes to fend off intruders.
Toothache
July 14th, 2004, 12:48 AM
Qwilfish. That's my first guess :-)
Tormentedsoul14
July 14th, 2004, 12:55 AM
nope not qwilfish thought people would say that lol
Toothache
July 14th, 2004, 12:57 AM
Clue 2 please, Tormentedsoul14. Thanks
Tormentedsoul14
July 14th, 2004, 12:59 AM
hmmm what to put for a clue
Clue 2 Its an evolution.
Toothache
July 14th, 2004, 01:04 AM
Maybe the type? Just a suggestion...
Let's see, what has toxic spikes? Usually a poison type. So, let's guess at Beedrill.
Tormentedsoul14
July 14th, 2004, 01:24 AM
Nope. Not it the type would give it away use this as a clue.
Toothache
July 14th, 2004, 01:31 AM
You post a clue after each guess, you should know.
Try doing it in the same post, instead of two seperate ones :-)
Tormentedsoul14
July 14th, 2004, 02:12 AM
Ok This pokemon can be found in r/b/y g/s/c and i think they are in r/s not sure though.
Toothache
July 14th, 2004, 02:44 AM
Let me see... Tentacruel? They are evolved after all...
Tormentedsoul14
July 14th, 2004, 02:49 AM
Nope Getting Closer. Its a Water Type.
Toothache
July 14th, 2004, 02:56 AM
Ok, let's see. That narrows it down to the largest group of Pokemon. And exists in all games? The only other one that does that is... Magikarp? No, that can't be right...
Ok, so you're not sure if they're in R/S, let's eliminate those...
Let's have a guess at Kingdra?
Tormentedsoul14
July 14th, 2004, 03:02 AM
Nope. not sure if I can narrow it down anymore. Lets see its only found on one route in crystal.
Toothache
July 14th, 2004, 03:06 AM
Man, I've never played Crystal!
Ok, so that's clue 5. You need to come up with 5 more clues, methinks.
You sure about it appearing in all games? Cos the only Water type I can think of that does that is Magikarp. And that certainly don't have toxic spikes
Tormentedsoul14
July 14th, 2004, 03:09 AM
Yep its in all the games. Lets try this its a Stage 1 and is used by swimmers.
Toothache
July 14th, 2004, 03:11 AM
How about Goldeen. Although you said it was an evolution, so you contradicted one of your previous clues...
Tormentedsoul14
July 14th, 2004, 03:13 AM
The Pokemon is also a Dragon type.
Daniel
July 14th, 2004, 05:06 AM
Is it a Garydos......??????
Triaspia
July 14th, 2004, 07:45 AM
omastar its omastar it has to be
Daniel
July 14th, 2004, 08:01 AM
Omastar isnt dragon. Its water/Rock. (Though garydos isnt a dragon type. It was just a idea that poped up in my head XD)
Fox_Die
July 14th, 2004, 08:02 AM
^ hmm... I wonder if it is a seadra?
edit: didn't read post above, the evoloution of bagon?
Tormentedsoul14
July 14th, 2004, 12:16 PM
Lt. Surge you are right it is Seadra. Now its your turn.
ravenstorture
July 14th, 2004, 12:32 PM
Ahh! And I was going to guess Seadra. Oh well...
Toothache
July 14th, 2004, 01:21 PM
Seadra isn't Dragon/Water, Kingdra is. Kingdra is also the one with poison spikes (I checked my Silver Pokedex yesterday). So I actually had the right answer.
Eliana
July 14th, 2004, 04:40 PM
lol did i miss something? XD whathappened?
Toothache
July 14th, 2004, 04:50 PM
Tormentedsoul14 gave someone the right answer, when it was wrong (by comparing his clues with my Silver Pokedex and common sense). Seadra, the evolution of Horsea, is just Water type, but Kingdra is Dragon/Water. And was not in R/B/Y, cos item hold trades were not possible back then. (They are in R/S though).
I suggest a bit more research before you do this next time. :-)
Tormentedsoul14
July 14th, 2004, 09:00 PM
Hey man I just went by what my crystal Pokedex said it said dragon. In the crystal Pokedex it said the male watches the youngins and uses its toxic spikes to ward off enemys.
Triaspia
July 14th, 2004, 10:56 PM
when will the next pokemon be up for guessing
tmbjr
July 14th, 2004, 11:08 PM
Lt. Surge should be the next one to coem up with a pokemon and give clues
I would've gotten that one too, if I had actually been online today XD
Triaspia
July 14th, 2004, 11:52 PM
its a big shame hes not on
Febbie8
July 17th, 2004, 06:35 PM
somebody make a question... i wanna play... or can i make one?
Toothache
July 17th, 2004, 07:15 PM
Technically, I should be making the next one, but unfortunately, TormentedSoul14 has identified the wrong Pokemon.
Febbie8
July 17th, 2004, 07:17 PM
just make uo a question already
Toothache
July 17th, 2004, 07:19 PM
Fine, I will since no-one else is refuting my claims.
Clue 1: This pokemon changes type when it evolves
GymLeaderLance99
July 17th, 2004, 07:21 PM
I'll just take a wild guess. Erm, Nidorino/a
Toothache
July 17th, 2004, 07:22 PM
Nope, not the Nidoran families
Clue 2: This pokemon has two types. One of those types changes when it evolves
GymLeaderLance99
July 17th, 2004, 07:25 PM
Another guess is in order. Erm, Larvitar/Pupitar?
Toothache
July 17th, 2004, 07:26 PM
Different pokemon, but you're getting somewhat closer
Clue 3: This Pokemon exists only in Ruby/Sapphire
GymLeaderLance99
July 17th, 2004, 07:29 PM
OK. This time, I'll guess Surskit. It goes from Bug/Water to Bug/Flying.
Toothache
July 17th, 2004, 07:32 PM
Nope. Getting closer though...
Clue 4: This Pokemon is 16 inches, or 1 foot 4 inches, tall
GymLeaderLance99
July 17th, 2004, 07:37 PM
Is it Swablu? It changes from Normal/Flying to Dragon/Flying.
Toothache
July 17th, 2004, 07:38 PM
Yes, it is Swablu :-)
Ok, your turn
nanok242
July 17th, 2004, 07:39 PM
i know
is it nincada bug ground to ninjask bug flying or is it nincada to shedinja bug ghost
[edit]i was to slow dage
GymLeaderLance99
July 17th, 2004, 07:43 PM
Okay then.
Clue #1- This pokemon evolves by use of the Water Stone.
TOKEYO-MONKEY
July 17th, 2004, 07:46 PM
Is it Vaporion? Because thats all I think of when people say water stone.
GymLeaderLance99
July 17th, 2004, 07:48 PM
Nope. Try again.
Clue #2- This pokemon gains one other type when it evolves.
Toothache
July 17th, 2004, 07:51 PM
Poliwrath. That's my guess
GymLeaderLance99
July 17th, 2004, 07:57 PM
Nope. Keep trying.
Clue #3- This pokemon is in all the games.
Toothache
July 17th, 2004, 07:59 PM
Has to be the Staryu-Starmie evolution then :-)
GymLeaderLance99
July 17th, 2004, 08:01 PM
Yep, Toothache. You got it. And I wanted to keep it going. Oh well. Your turn, then.:)
Toothache
July 17th, 2004, 08:08 PM
Alrighty :-)
Let's go obscure, shall we?
Clue 1: This Pokemon exists in the Human-Shaped Egg Group only
GymLeaderLance99
July 17th, 2004, 08:09 PM
What about Alakazam? Of course, there are many others as well.
Toothache
July 17th, 2004, 08:13 PM
Nope, not Alakazam
Clue 2: This Pokemon is only found in one area
GymLeaderLance99
July 17th, 2004, 08:15 PM
That clue didn't really help because you didn't specify the games where it's found, but anyway, my next guess is Jynx.
Toothache
July 17th, 2004, 08:23 PM
Hehe, I told you I'm gonna be obscure :-p Wonder if I can get all the way to 10 clues...and no, it's not Jynx
Clue 3: This is an evolved Pokemon
GymLeaderLance99
July 17th, 2004, 08:35 PM
What about Hypno. Evolved from Drowzee, and humanshaped.
Toothache
July 17th, 2004, 08:37 PM
No. It's funny how all the guesses you've made are Psychic types...
Clue 4: This Pokemon is not a Psychic type.
There, how's that? :-p
GymLeaderLance99
July 17th, 2004, 08:41 PM
Those were just some I remembered :). Anyway, lets go for Machop and it's family.
Toothache
July 17th, 2004, 08:45 PM
Nope
Clue 5: This Pokemon has a base attack stat of 120
GymLeaderLance99
July 17th, 2004, 08:49 PM
How about a member of the Tyrogue family?*hopes for a right answer*
Toothache
July 17th, 2004, 08:51 PM
Nope and nope. Sorry
Clue 6: This Pokemon's name is derived from a sport
GymLeaderLance99
July 17th, 2004, 09:04 PM
Erm, how about the Makuhita family. They are both ranks in Sumo.
Toothache
July 17th, 2004, 09:14 PM
Yay, he gets it right. Makuhita is right. :-)
GymLeaderLance99
July 17th, 2004, 09:20 PM
Ok then. Here's the next clue.
Clue #1- This pokemon controls the power of Ice.
Toothache
July 17th, 2004, 09:23 PM
Let's see.. Articuno? Next!
GymLeaderLance99
July 17th, 2004, 09:57 PM
Nope. Try again.
Clue #2- It is the only pokemon in Ru/Sa to learn Icy Wind as far as I know.
Toothache
July 17th, 2004, 10:04 PM
Snorunt and Glalie can learn Icy Wind as well, but we're actually talking about RegiIce :-)
GymLeaderLance99
July 18th, 2004, 02:38 PM
Yep, it's Regice. Your move, Toothache.
Febbie8
July 18th, 2004, 07:00 PM
:( i wanna guess... but every time i try nobody makes a question and when i come back its already answered oh well...
Toothache
July 18th, 2004, 08:21 PM
Alrighty. Let's go on with the next one :-)
Clue 1: This Pokemon exists in Red/Blue/Yellow only
GymLeaderLance99
July 18th, 2004, 09:33 PM
Toothache, that hint doesn't really make sense considering the original 151 also exist in G/S/C. Unless you mean that you can't catch it in G/S/C. If that's the case, I'll guess a member from the Bulbasaur family.
Toothache
July 18th, 2004, 10:27 PM
Hehe, you worked it out, so it still true. Anyway, no, it's not a Bulbasaur or its evolutions.
Clue 2: 7 other Pokemon may be acquired in the same way that this Pokemon is acquired
tmbjr
July 19th, 2004, 01:34 AM
hmm...
is it Mewtwo?
*end stupid guess*
Enix-Zae
July 19th, 2004, 02:21 AM
Is it Porygon??? i hope so :P
Wy_Wynaut
July 19th, 2004, 04:22 AM
id say one of the fossil pokemon kabuto or omanyte
Toothache
July 19th, 2004, 07:37 AM
Hehe, amazingly, Aviex got it right :-) It was Porygon :-)
Ok, your turn...
GymLeaderLance99
July 19th, 2004, 02:55 PM
Aw man. I wanted to guess something. Oh well. Aviex, what's the next pokemon hint?
Firemaker
July 20th, 2004, 10:19 AM
Thats not true. I had a Porygon I captured from Silver.
Hmm...
Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos?
Dragon Collecter 008
July 21st, 2004, 12:03 AM

Enix-Zae
July 21st, 2004, 12:12 AM
OOO, i got it right!. ok, my first hint, It is 100% resistant to two types.
Toothache
July 21st, 2004, 12:21 AM
Ok, that describes all Ghost types, being immune to both Normal and Fighting moves....
How about, Misdreavus?
Enix-Zae
July 21st, 2004, 12:33 AM
Nope, clue #2 its a dual type

Ok, so maybe not Ghost type then... interesting...
How about all the Normal/Flying types (that's a lot!), which are immune to Ghost and Ground moves...
Let's start with Dodrio...
Enix-Zae
July 21st, 2004, 01:05 AM
Nope, clue #3, one of its resistances is one of its own types
Toothache
July 21st, 2004, 01:27 AM
So, resistant to moves of its own type, and completely immune to two other types...
Great, that helps...
Let's see.. Skarmory. Immune to Poison and Ground, and of course, Steel resists Steel type moves...
Enix-Zae
July 21st, 2004, 01:32 AM
No, i mean one of the types its imune to is the same as one of its own types. (sorry if i wasn't clear enough :P)
Toothache
July 21st, 2004, 01:37 AM
Well, I've made my guess, clue 4 please...
Enix-Zae
July 21st, 2004, 01:39 AM
clue #4- It is not obtainable in the first generation (red blue green and yellow)
Toothache
July 21st, 2004, 01:44 AM
Ok, that narrows things down a lot... actually to zero. There is no types that is immune to itself. Resistant, sure, but not immune :-p
Enix-Zae
July 21st, 2004, 01:45 AM
Pfft. You think im wrong? Your should look harder ;)
Toothache
July 21st, 2004, 01:49 AM
Let me sum this up for you
Same type-super effectiveness
Ghost
Dragon
Same type-normal damage
Fighting
Normal
Ground
Bug
Rock
Flying
Same type-half damage
Dark
Psychic
Fire
Water
Electric
Steel
Ice
Poison
And unless I've missed something, that covers all 16 types. So, once again, don't try and prove me wrong, cos you can prove anything with facts, like I just did :-p
Enix-Zae
July 21st, 2004, 01:52 AM
It has two types if you remeber, and i said that one of its types is imune to one of its types. I never said they were the same type... (i dont think i did anyway)
Toothache
July 21st, 2004, 01:54 AM
Yes, but I've just proven that no Pokemon is completely immune to one of it's own types. Having two types is irrelevant. And if you're thinking of an ability like Levitate or Volt Absorb, then you really need to reword your question
Enix-Zae
July 21st, 2004, 01:58 AM
-_-;, it has two types. If it gets hit by one of its own types, it receives no damage. This is not caused by an ability. Ill give you an example. Say there was a fighting ghost type. Even though it is part fighting, it would not get hit by a fighting move. Now do you get what im saying?
Toothache
July 21st, 2004, 02:05 AM
Aha, I get it. So, the other type protects it...
Ghost-immune to Normal and Fighting
Ground-immune to Electric
Normal-immune to Ghost
Dark-immune to Psychic
Steel-immune to Poison
Flying-immune to Ground
That covers about all of them. So, we just have to narrow it down. And it wasn't in R/B/Y, that was your last clue. I'll guess Sableye...
Enix-Zae
July 21st, 2004, 02:07 AM
Nope. Clue #5, this pokemon learns a one hit k.o move naturaly
