I never liked Pikachu. On the show hes almost invincible and he takes all the fame away from Ash's real Pokemon like Sceptile and Snorlax. Just the sight of that little rat makes me twich.

I like Pikachu for it's anime personality but Pikachu in general p*** me off. I actually made Pikachu a human version (a girl :p) and I liked her a lot.

Pikachu is too unfair. It could use something more powerful than Zap Cannon at level 5, and now it knows 5 moves. Come on! Nothing with Pikachu is a fair fight.

I like Pikachu, although he can be a source of annoyance to me.

Firstly, In some battles it can with stand its own for a long time, taking powerful attacks and battling effectivly. While in others he sometimes takes two quite weak attacks and is defeated. (Like the bellsprout thing in the Indigo leage)

Secondly, I've counted in some episodes and Pikachu seems to know about 5-6 diffrent attacks in an episode and It s impossible!

Finally, He sometimes has a lot of screentime which can be annoying.

Anime Pikachu - Its not a real Pikachu, Prof.Oak hacked it for Ash. Which leads me too...

Anime I cant believe its not Pikachu - Annoying, stronger than legendaries but somehow gets ultimately weaker at the start of a new region. Writers kill him off just because he is the mascot doesnt mean he has to be in the anime.

Normal Pikachus - Quite annoying since being the mascot gives it too much popularity over other pokemon. This might of springed my liking of Raichu.
I'm neutral though as you can still like them a bit.

I loved Pikachu from the show sweeties, that as the only reason why I watched the show! x3 I don't care if it's strength depends on the writers, it was adorable and lovable. x3 Now-a-days I think of Pikachu as an adorable Goku. XD

i do like pikachu though. i always have. especially in the beginning when it didnt like ash and kept electrifying. him its supposed to be special, and even if some people dont like it, its not gonna leave.

I just think it's funny how his power level constantly fluctuates throughout the series. He's like a tripped out version of little Gohan. One minute he's all-powerful and can even blow apart rock Pokemon and cause nuclear explosions on command, the next, he can't even defeat what should be the most basic opponents in the Region.

Oh, he was cool in the first season, then all the over-ratedness went to the producer's heads... Raichu got kicked out to the sidelines, and all realism regarding Pikachu vanished.

So, yeah, in answer to your question, no, I don't like Pikachu, because it's too full of itself.

A thunderbolt to the Rockets blasts them 35000 feet into the air, but a shock to another lighter Pokémon doesnt do much.

They make that pikachu super invincible on the show. Then it is a brat. It whines and complains, and does not have to battle if it does not want to. Then they cheat for it, like make its thunder affect Onix and stuff, when in-game it does not. Then it steals attention from all the other pokemon of Ash's. Then each new season, or every two, Ash gets new pokemon and keeps Pikachu. I wish Charizard, or Bulbasaur could come back. It could do something except for being a brat, like evolve. I also have to admit that there are times where I like it. Pikachu is also on every piece on merchandise, I think it is like their mascot pokemon. That's why they treat it so special.

It was his first Pokemon so it only makes sense that he feels so attached to it and trains it the most. Pokemon has a lot of friendhip themes and Pikachu was his very first. It's never going to leave or evolve for the same reasons.

Like I said, it probably won't evolve. Ash was going to in the first season, but he felt to attached to his friend. He likes it the way it is.

Besides Pokemon wouldn't have a cuddly little mascot anymore so it's even more doubtful.

It's been using Iron Tail a lot recently so at least they gave it one new ability.

I wouldn't complain. Pikachu MADE Pokemon. It DEFINES Pokemon. Without a mascot like Pikachu, it would have been ten times more difficult to market the show or the merchandise and make it stick in peoples' minds.

And besides, it's cute.
