Which rom to hack?

Okay, I'm making a hack and I've got the basics planned out, but I'm not sure if I should hack Firered or Emerald. I was going to put in a few of the sevii islands with some edits,so I need those maps and I would rather not remake the whole map. But I also was going to use the Match Call system from Emerald in my hack. Which one would be better to use?

Emerald - I hate emerald. Truck, tiles. But there is some good features. Berry trees, Real Time Clock. You can hacked, but better changed the tileset.

Fire red - Stable rom, awesome graphics and NO TRUCK.

I choose FireRed. Better graphics, but, if you want to sacrifice FR/LG style graphics for things like the PokéNav, Match Call, Berry trees, and such... I don't care, it's just my view on it.

I would say NO to Emerald. Reason, Truck and unstable. Fire Red is better! More stable and NO truck!
