Starter Spoilers

Mudkip: Union cave, first floor, walking or surfing.

Charmander: Goldenrod City Game Corner, 2100 coins.

Treecko: Go to the hole in the rails in National Park. You will see two paths. Go to the rigth, near the East door. You will see a path between the trees. Enter and beat the trainer.

Squirtle: In New Bark Town, surf in the little part of the water route. If you go to the next route, you won't find it.

Torchic: Go to Lavander Town and to the South. You will see another path between the trees which leads to a cave with a guy who gives you an egg. In that cave, you will find wild Torchics. The egg has a random baby poke.

Bulbasaur: Go to the grass zone (Area 3) in the Safari Zone. It's wild there.

Legends and Rares Spoilers
Ho-oh: Beat the Rocket leader in the Radio Tower and the real director wil give you a Rainbow Wing. Now go to Tin Tower in Ecutreak City. It's in the top floor, in level 40, and has Sacred Ash equipped.

Celebi: Get the GS Ball in your trip to Kanto. Beat L.T Surge (Vermillion) and Sabrina (Saffron). Now call Prof Elm from a Phone Booth and go to Vermillion to take the ship to Johto. Talk to Prof Elm in New Bark, and then go to Azalea Town and talk to Kurt. Walk a little, and he will give you back the GS Ball. Now go to the Ilex Forest. It's in level 30.

Raikou, Suicune, Entei: Go to Burned Tower in Ecutreak and fall on the basement floor from a hole. When they have awakened, they will be around all Johto. It's just luck.

Lapras: Can be found in the Union Cave. Not as a wild Pokémon you could encouter, but as a Lapras-sprite on the water.
Enter the Cave from the south. Go left where you can Surf on the water. Take the stairs to get 1 floor lower. Surf to the right and get to another stairs to get 1 floor lower. Get to the water nearby and Surf on it. Keep going south and you'll see the Lapras.

Not that I know. Mine didn't came with the Sacred Ash either, so probably not..

But now that you mention it;
Immediately after I caught Ho-oh, I found a Master Ball. It just came out of nowhere...

My Ho-oh had sacred ash, and it's supposed to, I don't know why yours don't.
And the masterball thing is a bug. O.o Maybe it's the ROM. Do you have a previous savestate? Can anyone else confirm this?

Nah, I don't have a previous savestate.

Well, I tried to achieve the same thing again ('cause I saved the game at another slot right before Ho-oh, thanks to the VisualBoy) and it even works when you Run away from battle.

Here you can see the screen where Ho-oh will disappear afterwards.
Notice this is right before it flashes black (or actually while it flashes black) and where you'll be standing on the rooftop.
You won't be able to see the full text though, like: "Obtained a Master Ball".

Well, i never caught lapras in shiny gold, but if he did it like regular gold, go to that cave under violet city (sorry, forgot name).
There is one pool of water that if you surf accross, you can get to a set of stairs, eventually leading to lapras.

Yeah i know carlos's chansey was such a pain to kill you might wanna add a fighting type pokemon or you could use a pokemon that knows a fighting type move, I managed to beat carlos chansey by using swampert and you could train in route 42 if you use surf you will see a patches of grass and you can train there or you can regester trainers numbers and then call them to see if they want to battle with the phone booth.

In Shiny Gold X i don't remember he having a chansey.
Well, just use physical attacks, with your marshtomp or pidgeotto. If it's too hard, paralyze her, then use physical attacks saving with shift + f1 so to make her fully paralyzed all turns. I don't like using it but sometimes is needed, although i think i've only used it on the first rival battle. That chikorita is hard as hell to take down in SGX.

I hate to call Zel wrong in his own game, but Evolve Poliwhirl based on happiness (mine evolved at 31), so does Golbat into Crobat

About the stones:
The order of the trainers in Dragon's den determines which stone you get. The first one determines the stone, so if you first fight Altlaria (sp.) you'll get water, etc.

About the flute, I found a blue flute hidden in one of the caves, but I can't remember which one. Whether that'll wake Snorlax, I don't know, since I'm still chillin' in Johto.

Not true. Poliwhirl and Golbat are supposed to evolve at level 31, my Golbat HATED me, but evolved at that level.

About the Silph Scope, there's no silph Scope on this version, but a similar, Ghostbuster.
And it's in Silph co. However, after getting it you need to take it to the burned tower in Ecrutaek so to Morty make it work.

Once again, there's no flute, but an expansion card, as in the original Gold, although it is the old pokéflute.
And you can get it in Lavander Radio Tower, after fixing the Power Plant.

What do you mean; "what's up with the pichu?" Actually, there's nothing to it. Just a regular Pokémon which evolved.

Other stuff you mentioned;

Well, when you did the Power Plant thing, you could beat Misty at her Gym (first by locating her beneath Bill's 'old' house). Afterwards, you could go to the Radio Tower at Lavender Town and get an Expn. Card for awakening Snorlax near Diglett's Cave.
And then you could do some side-stuff like locating the Week-family or catching Rare Pokémon or so.

When you've got the GS Ball, you should bring it to Kurt at Azalea Town. He'll investigate it and you'll get it back. Then you should go to the Forest to catch Celebi.

Well, what did he say then?
Maybe he's still busy with an apricorn you gave earlier. If he is, then you should wait till he's done with it.
If not, you should do a few thing in order to trigger the 'event', 'cause all the stuff Zel added, are connected with eachother, like using Headbutt on trees, finding Berries/apricorns and creating PokéBall's by Kurt.
So if that's the case, you should find some Berries/apricorns or you should Headbutt a tree or so like I mentioned.

The radio-visio is obtainable at Goldenrod's Radio Tower first floor. Answer a small quiz and it's yours. The expn. card is obtainable, on Lavander Radio Tower, after you fix the Power Plant.

There's a YouTube video on how to solve that in under 3 minutes. It does work, even through Firered and Emerald.
Also, If you want Chikorita THAT bad, use Gameshark cheats. But beware- there'll be more than 68 glitches with it!

Yup: Mahogany's Team Rocket hideout. Lance gives you one after beating the electrodes.
And fishing in the routes between Olivine and Cianwood you can find wild Wailmers which learn it.

You have to change the save settings to Flash 128k.

Doduo and Dodrio appear in route 26 and 27 (here only Doduo), the routes between New bark and Victory Road.

Solrock is wild in Victory Road in the rock area and in Lapras' floor in union Cave (very rare).

And yeah, all routes have Hoenn pokes. All.

there's a small mistake here. The dogs, as I understood from what Zel said, are not appearing in any route. That's because it Won't appear in the Pokémon menu. Plus, it won't work on every tree. Just try a few trees by clicking A while facing it. You'll notice only some trees will work.

Yap, just use an Old Rod to catch a Magikarp. Even those worthless fishes will do it!
And if you would run into the problem of not having a Rod (the Fishing Guru is just inside the house above the Pokécenter), just ride with your bike over this area of water/shore, and you'll eventually encounter Tentacool etc...

Beat Ashley in the south entrance to Saffron, then go to Silph and beat Jess and Jamie. Get Sabrina's and Lt Surge's badges, call Prof Elm from a phone booth and take the ship from Vermillion to Olivine. Now go to Ecutreak Town, to burned tower, and you will see Morty in the Legendary Dog's zone. Beat him, and then you will be able to battle the ghosts.

Now beat one of the ghosts in the east exit from Cerulean and go to the Power Plant. Talk to Amelia and go to Cerulean Gym. Do the event there and now go to the North, to Bill's granpa's house. Near there you will see Misty, and she will return to the gym after talking to her.

We don't have a full list of obtainable Hoenn Pokémon, but there sure are a lot of them. Like Went already mentioned;
There are Hoenn Pokémon at EVERY route (Grass, Trees, Water, Fishing).
Just be patient and search for them quite a while, and you'll manage to get a lot of them!
I've captured a total of 290 Pokémon, so I'm pretty far =)

If it isn't working, here are steps that you need to make sure you followed:

-Downloaded FireRed and latest version of ShinyGold
-Put ShinyGold in the same folder as FireRed
-Renamed ShinyGold so it matches the name of the FireRed download

If you followed those steps and it still isn't working, I don't know what the problem is.

i caught shining gyarados at lake rage and i just made it mate with another gyarados [male, evolved from a magikarp i caught fishing] at the day care. so far ive got three eggs from em and all have turned out to be ordinary magikarps. is htere any way to get shining magikarp? :D

also i cant seem to get to pewter, cinnabar and viridian city although pewter sure as hell seems to be glitched! do i need to wait for beta 6 before i can play em?

thirdly[sorry for askin so many damn questions! lol] the route from goldenrod to azalea town[ilex forest] is blocked by an ugly ***** and i cant get her out of the way. this is really irritating since i have to go through damn uninon cave everytime i want to get there[since ya cant fly there for some reason] just a sujjestion but maybe zel should move her out of the way?

and when i went to kurt with the gs ball and talked to him nothing happened. am i supposedto talk to elm first? i tried but he ddnt say anything either.

About the shiny u have about 1 out of 8000 and something to get a shiny
Also pewter isn't in B5 neither is Cinnabar u'll have to wait for B6
oh and try talking to the Shrine in ilex forest once Kurt gives u the GS ball back.

In the 3rd generation of poke games (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Fire Red, Leaf Green) the shininess of the parent(s) has no effect on the baby being shiny. So its pretty understandable you havent got a shiny magikarp.

Yeah, True Pallet Town, Pewter City, Cinnabar, Viridian City, Mt Moon and South of Fuchsia aren't available as of Beta 5.

Thats strange, although I personally fly whenever I need to go places, I thought that girl only appeared after Kurt hands your GS Ball back.

To get Kurt to accept the GS Ball, I think you need to at least defeat Sabrina and Lt.Surge, then call Elm from a phone booth in Cerulean.

wow. that never happened to me. well, anyway... ya need to go to the silph co building in saffron city, alk to the guys there, then go south of saffron and battle that blond theif chick. after u defeat her u'll get an item. go back to the silph co and oull find everyone asleep. go to the top floor and enter the room there. beat jesse and james and talk to the silph co president. he gives u the ghost-scope thingy for indentifying ghosts. now go back to johto and go to ecruteak city. go to the burned tower and fall in the whole in the centre-north. talk to morty and battle him. he fixes up your ghostscope. now ya cna battle and capture ghosts! :)

Chansey evolves in all games beyond the GSC generation by Happiness, to achieve this, there are several measures to increase it:
Holding a Soothe Bell - Enhances the effects of other happiness measures
Using stat boosting items - Proteins etc.
Giving them haircuts
Letting them level up (not too sure if its a greater effect if done by battling over using rare candies).
Just keeping them in your party in general.

Hi, im kinda new to these hacks, and i finished beta 5 and beat the elite 4 and carlos. how do i get to kanto after that, because i use the shift+f1 save. so when i have to load a game then i have to press f1 again... when it says the end after ur character starts running, then it comes to the begining screen with ho-oh and the game starts over again! so if anyone can please help me that would be fantastic!!! o yeah, and whenever i try to save the normal way, it says please exchange the backup memory...grateful for any help!

in your emulater and go to the last save state you had. Go to emulater, save type, 128 K. Save before the Elite 4. Your going tohave to beat it again, sorry!

uh thanks itman, but what do i do after that??? cuz i just beat the league again and i saved before beating it. I changed the save to Flash 128k, and then i saved before i got to will. I just beat them again, without problems, but after that it ran to the credits, and then it went back to the beginning with ho-oh and then prof oak begins talking to you like the begining. am i supposed to be able to save it the normal way? If you could, can you maybe guide me through it? Cuz im getting sick and tired of absolutely demolishing the elite 4 time after time agin...lol! what should i do? can you tell me what your settings are? and then maybe i can fix mine. The problem is, you also have to delete the .sav file your emulator makes everytime you open the rom. Open VBA BUT NOT THE ROM, put the save settings in flash 128k, delete the .sav file in your sg rom folder, and try again. If it doesn't work, deleting everything and starting back is the only option I see :\

Wrong. That was a bug that was reported and fixed in the B5, for now the only way to find M.No. is to use your Super Rod on the places where I've forgotten to add fishing Pokemon, which obviously is a bug... Who wants a Missing No.? They are useless... -_-
