Info
Ok, we (Hylian Lemon & me) started this project several years ago, mostly just recoloring GB graphics and music to start out. Some months ago last year, we re-announced the project and continued working on it. After that, we had a problem because the file was lost with all the stuff on it (except a VERY old back-up on my flash drive), so we got set back far to the old version. Now we've come back, with A LOT more than we had to show last year, and we are taking every step to improve the game. We started improving the graphics, then I started improving the engine. It all worked out :).

Controls
Z: Z-Button (Confirm, Select on File Selection)
X: X-Button (Cancel, Cancel on File Selection)
A: A-Button
S: Action-Button (Roll, Talk, etc.)
Enter: Open/Close Menu (Go past title screen)
Space: Will be for opening the maps when we get there

Story
Link is wandering through the forest outside Termina, trying to find his way back to Hyrule. It is late at night, and he thinks he sees lights up ahead. Heading through the trees, he is suddenly attacked by a dark shape.

"I'm impressed that you figured out where I was hiding. Still, there's nothing you can do about it; my plans are already in motion. Get out of here."

Just before he is knocked unconscious, Link catches a glimpse of his attacker's face. It is a shadowy version of his own. The next day, Link wakes up in a strange village, determined to find out what his dark clone is plotting.

Thank you =).

BTW, if you download it now, you can get the fixed version. Link no longer continuously drowns =).

I'm adding a few things to make the game more LA style, oracle style, and just plain better. I did fix a few bugs, but I also added the Piece of Power. Take a look =):

I can't wait for more updates, I'll be looking out for this game. Keep up the good work.

someone at Pure ZC said that we should have some kind of background for the map stuff. So I used my frame from my old Zelda classic quest "Hero of the Past," which I may end up making in GM sometime =). Any comments?

dlbrooks was it?
Well i haven't played it yet but i am soon.
It will be hard to qualify a homebrewed(or fangame) LOZ game to be qualified because all Zelda games are puzzling yet adventurous.

Ok time to fill you guys in after a LONG TIME!

-We improved the engine alot.
-Fixed several reported and non-reported bugs.
-We finished everything in Level-1 except the boss.
-We recolored and updated some things.
-Some areas look a bit different.
-I did the drawing distance thing, so the lag has been reduced.
-We updated the maps and menus, and this is a preview of what the new menu looks like: http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q2/dlbrooks34/PoD-13.png

Any suggestions/comments?

I have finished the demo. =)
So far it looks really good... some puzzles (like the rocks you need to push), appear in every Zelda game, so they are quite familiar. But that's the Zelda spirit. ^_^

I can't wait to see more of this game. Good luck with it.

WOW, IT'S BEEN FOREVER SINCE WE'VE UPDATED YOU GUYS O.o. (I'll give you an I owe you ^.^).

Let's just cut to the chase by saying, for those who have played the first demo, YOU WILL BE BLOWN AWAY WHEN YOU PLAY YHE SECOND ONE WE PLAN TO RELEASE AFTER THE SECOND DUNGEON IS COMPLETE, which we will get to soon, but we have to finish up the areas that lead to Level-2 so we can do the dungeon O.O.

Here's a new screenshot of the second new area: http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q2/dlbrooks34/PoD-16.png
PRETTY ISN'T IT >=).

List of updates:
-Engine Changes/Tweaks/Improvements/Edits/Revisements.
-MEGA LOAD of bugs fixed.
-Many suggestions have been done, and we have some new enemies, new techniques for Link, and a special item you will collect throughout the game =).
-New areas.
-Improved some graphics.
-Saving updates.
-INTRO, THE STORYLINE IS IN!!!!!!
-MUCH, MUCH MORE.

The trailer we talked about earlier is still comin' soon, so hang tight =).

Well I don't know how to put the poll in tht topic here O.O, but, we need you guys to vote on wheter or not we should make whatever outlined text is in the game to normal text.

1. Keep the text the same.
2. De-outline the text.

~link smash~
April 3rd, 2008, 08:05 AM
De-outline it. It will make it better. Also I forgot to re post this. have you ever tried doing a game on the zelda classic engine? It is great

Mudkipblader
April 3rd, 2008, 08:59 AM
Eh what? Can you tell me what the difference is? I don't get it... ^^"

Uhm, can't you add a poll when you edit the first post?

dlbrooks33
April 3rd, 2008, 09:40 PM
The difference is, de-outlined text will look like the text in the textbox, the outlined text looks like the area name in the screenshot with "Southern Wasteland"

Mudkipblader
April 4th, 2008, 05:56 AM
Ah yes, I'd de-outline it. I think that in a textbox, it'll be easier to read.
