View Full Version : Noob Killer-Play by the rules!
sims796
February 8th, 2008, 11:46 PM
This was made specifically for the noobs out their, who thinks the standard rules are stupid, WHILE thinking they are hot stuff. Not the casual players, not those who don't care, I mean the noobs with diareha at the mouth.
Deoxys(Defense)
Nature:Bold
Cosmic Power
Toxic
Double Team
Recover
EV:???
This is to show them why the rules are even there in the first place. Without em, you will face things like this--and this is just the tip of the iceberg. Of course, it's not meant to play by any standard rules, only people who questions why the rules are there.
Dark Azelf kinda gave me the idea for the set. See, with enough Cosmic Power, it's basically invurnerable. With Double Team, it's untouchable. Even when you do hit it, you will barely damage it, due to it's defenses. And, after 20 minutes when he does eventually get hurt (like, what, 30%?) Recover will make them cry. Toxic so I don't get bored.
Remeber, if by some chance, this is KOed, I'll still have 5 others, equally as annoying, unfair. And in those 5, I'll have another one of these, since there is no Species Clause.
This should teach those new to compettitive battling why the rules are there. That is it's only purpose. It is not for real competition, so I don't wanna hear "OMG, THAT DOESNT PLAY BY TEH RULEZ!!!!!".
I am also thinking about making a whole team suited to teach people why the rules are there.

Double Team Shuckle in a sandstorm is very mighty for such a cause indeed.
But n00bs will generally turn your own rules against you, so go go go Speed Deoxys! But yeah.
A cool n00b killer is Aerodactyl. It's faster than any crap they'll throw at you and no physical walls means fun in the sun.
You'll want a way to beat steels though for that set. Just keep something like Heatran in reserve to kill that stuff.
sims796
February 9th, 2008, 03:26 AM
Ah, but that's the beauty--it's not really meant for steels. Just as a, you know, annoyer, of some sorts. A good player can ruiin me with Taunt. But a noob will be stuck. Of course, he has his teammates for the attacking, so I'll need help with a Absurd attacker.
As for Shuckle, well, as good as he is for this cause, I don't like him. At all. You understand, we all have pokes we don't like. Me, it's Shuckle.
EDIT: Any uberfied Double Teaming Heatran suggestions?

Double Team is hax <_< But noobs won't realize that xD.
The EV Spread should look somewhat like this. 252 HP / 172 SDefense / 80 Defense

The one rule noobs generally follow is the 'No Legendary' rule, which rules out everything from Arceus to Entei. You may want to try a different wall, just to further rub salt in the wounds. If it's Deoxys that kills them, they can always blame it on being a Legend. They can't make the same excuse when Shuckle kills them.
You may want to try Scarf Porygon-Z, as Tri-Attack can kill just about anything in the noob arsenal. King's Rock + Sniper Kingra should work as well. Or you can just use six Togekisses.

February 9th, 2008, 06:14 AM
airconditionin is right. The purpose of this is to prove that even when playing by their rules, a noob is a noob. If they have nothing to blame for their loses (other than the extreme hax), then my job is done.

Just bring a Ninjask to Baton Pass Double Team to all your pokemon, with 6 Double Teams and 6 Speed boosts, Rhyperior is quite funny to use
Breloom with spore can also be used to annoy, ahh such possibilities without rules

February 9th, 2008, 04:59 PM
Beat me to the punch. I propose a team effort. To make a great noob killing team, since I don't have the time to do it myself.
Lets see...
Curselax-
Deoxys (D)-air gave a great reason of why it shouldn't be used on it's own, so we'll limit ourselves to one legend. As to not make th enoobs cry "foul".
Ninjask sounds gool.
Oh, and don't forget hax items. A Torterra going first, against a Staraptor.

what you need is quick claw Rhyperior. A Rhydon with a Quick claw ended up killing my Raikou in ADV when both were our last pokemon. I was MAD.
So go go go Quick Claw Rhyinferior!
Dunsparce
February 9th, 2008, 06:35 PM
The most degrading thing you can do to n00bs is beat them with a n00b-style Dunsparce:
MUST Use with w/Baton passing Double Team Ninjask
Dunsparce@Brightpowder/Focus Sash
Body Slam/Thunder Wave
Headbutt/Rock Slide/Bite
Roost
Ancientpower/Water Pulse/Endeavor/Counter
Basically, with enough BPed Evasion and Speed Boost, Paraflich opponent to death. If you don't expect 'Sparce to live through a hit, use Focus Sash. With it, use Endeavor/Counter and then Roost off the damage.
With Brightpowder, use Ancientpower for 20% percent chance to boost all stats of Water Pusle to Confuse
THis might not be what you're looking for, though >.>;

I don't know if that Detect/ Protect thing works one after another. Because I've tried it one but failed miserablely. It seems like that Detect then Protect then Detect has the same effect as using 3 Protect attacks in a row. I'm not completely sure because I did try this back in the GSC but I don't know why it would've changed.

A magical triple status. While attract isnt usually thought of as a status move because of its selective nature, ive found most noobs believe males are stronger. Slap it on a female crobat and inflict a poke with all 3 status move. Attract+Confusion offer a 75% Chance of no attack, and the 30% flinch rate of astonish means very few hits ever. Toxic rubs salt in as they hurt themselves, and if they swich just do it again. Orr if they are likely to switch pursuit gives them a kick out thte door :)

So we're going to leave Skarmory prone to special attacks?
Even a n00b can figure that out and they'll just beat down Skarmory with a flamethrower from their little Blaziken.
