Lonely is just silly. I wouldn't lead with this, as it will be obvious that it's a scarfchomp...not to mention how common Hippowdon is as a lead.
Gyarados (♂) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 212 HP/16 Atk/180 Def/100 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

Why would a Blissey try to take on Gyarados anyways? >.>

Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)

Raikou @ Leftovers

- Hidden Power [Ice]
yeah evs are so random calm mind and stuff. roar was for my lack of phazer. if someone could give me a better set (with roar. or even just a mixed walling phazer would be good.
Raikou needs sub this gen or scarfers just kill you. Def on Raikou is a joke.
Milotic (♂) @ Leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 HP/172 Def/80 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Surf
- Hypnosis
- Recover
lol this old thing is pretty good if there is a better special wall that gos better with this team c(uz half my team is bolt beam weak) just tell me.
This team is very boltbeam weak indeed.
---
Honestly a pretty bad team. A fast Boltbeamer such as Starmie will just eat up your team.
this team is terribly weak defensively. No way to beat almost all common threats, which is a bad thing.

Adamant does the same as lonely, it still 2hkos Skarmory and forry, so Lonely just cuts your defenses for no reason
---
Gyarados (♂) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 212 HP/16 Atk/180 Def/100 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

Yep

Ability: Flash Fire
EVs224 / 252 SP.ATT / 32 HP
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)

- Fire Blast
- Explosion / Hidden power Grass / Hidden power Electric
- Earth Power
Dark pulse is lol, Fire Blast does more, even when its dark pulse is super effective.
Explosion to take out blissey, Hidden power Grass for swampert and other bulky ground or water types, Hidden power Electric for Gyarados and bulky waters.
Change your evs around, you need more speed, 224 and timid is what it needs to outrun Adamant Heracross.
---
Forretress (♂) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/60 Atk/196 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)

fine

LULWUT ?
Make your evs better, this makes him DO HIS PROPER JOB which is not PHazing, as in Calm minding behind subs and sweeping.
---
Milotic (♂) @ Leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 148 HP/ 240 Def/ 120 sp.att
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Ice Beam / Hidden power Electric
- Surf
- Hypnosis / Light Screen
- Recover
needs More def, id consider Hidden power Electric as your rather Taunt Gyarados weak.
Light Screen >> Hypnosis, if you want sp.def, dont invest sp.def evs, there are better places to put them on Milotic.
Oh dear, well specs mence rapes you.
Changes are in bold

Man, people cannot take a typo these daysd.
I meant Fire Fang.
Zap Cannon actually will counter Gyarados, but has little usage outside of that so yeah.

thanks for the set azelf. oh and anti-pop may i share a quote from you the first time i used forry? you said this after i said zap cannon was lol becuase of its low accuracy.
You just don't listen, do you? ZAP CANNON IS FOR COUNTERING GYARADOS. People used hypnosis in ADV and it had 60 accuracy :/

That's because I hate when people totally disregard Zap Cannon. I by no means actually like that option, that is more for people being closed-minded.
Zap Cannon isn't "lol" by any means. It just isn't that great.

so should i lead with gyrados instead to beat hippo?

February 26th, 2008, 06:34 PM
Swampert I think will fit in better because of his ability to stop bulkyness, and stone edge takes care of Gyara leads as well it can also take care of Hippo and deal good damange to skarm.

my swampert doesnt have stone edge but i think ill go for HP [electric].
Anti
February 27th, 2008, 02:31 AM
Give me one use HP Electric has besides beating Gyarados. It does nothihng to other bulky waters or anything else.
As in, don't use HP electric on Swampert. You'd only be robbing it of a moveslot. I'm not a huge fan of Stone Edge on Swampert either, or even Rock slide, but if you really hate Gyarados I suppose it's plausible considering it isn't totally useless like HP electric.
Honestly your sweepers don't even work that great together so maybe find a replacement for one of them (cough Garchomp) for something that will beat Gyarados, whether or not it's a sweeper.
Faceless*

Love how you corrected Fire Fire on Evilcheese's Garchomp moveset Anti XD
As for the BoltBeam weakness, I dare you to give Forretress Light Screen =PPPP
Oh, I hate to say this but.. it's best to replace Milotic with Blissey (Your Gyarados)
evilcheese
February 27th, 2008, 02:32 AM
i did replace milotic.
yeah i was thinking garchomp doesnt go that well. ill probably need a mixed sweeper (maybe vire) or a nice tank.
Anti
February 27th, 2008, 02:36 AM
People like mixed sweepers too much ._.
As for "Fire Fire," I seem to make that mistake every time I mean to say Fire Fang. Must be my short attention spn at work or something.
Speaking of fire, Fire BLAST > Flamethrower on Heatran please. I honestly don't want to hear about accuracy when people use Megahorn on Heracross. Now I hate fire blast on those pure physical attackers that just slip it in to kill skarm, who usually isn't much of a threat anyways, but on Heatran it is quite honestly a whole lot better.
evilcheese
February 27th, 2008, 02:40 AM
ok ill go fire blast. and for the tank maybe a cmer? or tyraniboah er whatever its called (tyranitar with ice beam).

Taking away Gyara's leftovers recovery is not a good idea.
Actually it might be smart to run a Suicune or Milotic over Swampert with HP electric (though I'm not a big fan of it, it at least does something for those two) to beat Gyara. Of course you'd lose your rock resist, so it depends on who you fear more I guess.
As for Chomp's replacement, I wish I could help but I just woke up from a 4-hour snooze and I can't really think of anything at the moment hehe

Heatran carries good sp.atk, why risk the miss. Even if hera uses Megahorn, maybe they get lucky and you don't, assuming that luck will be nuetral wont work most of the time, I say flamethrower.

Well I'm waiting for Dark_Azelf to come in with all the damage calcs but I can explain it.
Heatran NEEDS the extra power. It's like trying to beat Skarmory with a Scarfcross instead of a CBcross practically. Heatran also can afford to miss with its overall bulk and good amount of resistances and whatnot.
Flamethrower manages pitiful damage against a lot of stuff. Fire Blast on the other hand will deal much more damage, especially when you throw in choice specs and a possible flash fire boost, the difference becomes a lot more obvious.
Also, considering opposing Heatran like to switch in on Heatran, Fire Blast missing probably can't be too bad now can it be?
Fire Blast >>>>>> Flamethrower.
While I usually prefer Flamethrower Fire Blast really is superior. Also for things that switch in on fire Blast (cough dragons cough) that predict your fire move take a ton more from Fire Blast than from Flamethrower, so wearing down on what is switching in on you is also handy.

February 27th, 2008, 11:47 AM
Apart from the fact that Flash Fire doesn't even bother taking in the account of accuracy. So if you did Fire Blast a Heatran on the switch it would get the boost regardless of if the move hits it or not.
But yes, Fire Blast ftw!
