Silver Pokémon Chronicles is a game made in RPG Maker XP for PC.

Again, you embodied in a character without words and with the name you choose - can be yours. The story is much like its predecessors, featuring new characters, but with the same functions and characteristics of those in previous games. They are stereotypes that help to locate the player in history: the mother encourages her adventure in, the scientist and his assistant, mentors who teach new things and provide aid, the rival, that the challenges, among others.
Unlike many traditional FRP, which offer a similar mechanical game, mixing battles with shifts in exploitation of scenarios through a higher vision, "Silver Chronicles" stimulates talk with the NPCs (non-playable characters). Many of these offer tips and valuable items, worth invested in the dialogue and making them more interesting, even if it does not make sense in the context.

In this version you'll find a lot different from other versions.

You are Jimmy (or Janny) (you can choose the name), a (the) boy (a) the city of New Bark, who will receive his first Pokémon from the hands of Prof. Elm, and you can choose between a Totodile (Pokémon of water), Cyndaquil (Pokémon of fire) and Chikorita (Pokémon plant).
The adventure is huge, you begin your journey in Johto, there will have to beat the 8 gym leaders, to reach the Elite 4, and then reach PokéCopa, which occurs only for 4 in 4 years. And after that his journey does not end, you still will Kanto to fight for more and try to defeat 8 insiguinias Ash Ketchum, after winning the Orange Islands League Orange, Hoenn to win 8 more insiguinias and one of the Elite 4, Orre Pokémon to purify the dark and win the Coliseus, Sinnoh, "Fiore to special missions and Pokétopia to win 8 leaders, the Elite and Elemental PokéCopa.
You will see the Team Rocket, Aqua, Magma, Team Galactic and many other adventure novel!
In this game you will find all existing 493 Pokémon, including Mewtwo, Mew, Arceus, Lugia among others, in addition to brand new Pokémon that inhabited the continent of Pokétopia.
With that and a few more things you will discover in the game, you will see that the game is over, you can always do something to train their Pokémon, earn money and go in search of all existing Pokémon.

I agree, the graphics don't seem to blend well either. Some times there nice and smooth, sometimes there sort of like regular Pokemon graphics. But besides that, it looks pretty cool.

i agree, the gaphics dont match at all.
and also, i still dont see nay credit given to coronis for those D/P style character sprites.
if your going to use different styles of graphics, dont use them in the sams place.
use them on seperate maps so theyre mixing.

Actually since there is no portuguese version of any pokémon game, we, brazilians, are really used to the english move names, itens, people and pokémon. I really see no problem at all. (maybe changing verbs like "used" etc would be a good idea)

That's why localizing pokemon essentials to other languages like Portuguese is significant. It seems that Poccil has a project like this so I'd really like to see if it's possible for him to do that. Btw, can you please give a link to your official thread, victorspvl? I know it's in Portuguese but I'd like to see the progresses you made recently.

Essentially all you have to do is change the display names of everything in the PBS files. Then you can change around a few words in some of the scripts and that'll solve 99% of the translation issues.

Also, it would be really interesting and creative if you made up Portugese names for all the Pokémon.

Umm... Peter O. wrote those files down somewhere... I think it's in his essentials kit, but I never downloaded that thing (like you). Well, now that you're on the forums, it should be pretty easy to get Essentials, and a copy of th DP font in truetype.

About your game, I think it's wonderful. I speak Spanish at least relatively fluently, and, considering Portuguese is basically a combination of that and French (no offense or anything to your language), I was able to piece together some of the foreign dialogue. From what I could gather it's a pretty good game, even if the story is a little... regular. That's alright, especially because the gameplay itself is quite good.

I suggest you remove the graphics you aren't allowed to use from your game and also get in contact (or attempt to) with the people whose graphics you're using that haven't received credit.
The fact that you don't know who made them won't be taken into account.

Hi Victorspvl! How's Pokemon Silver Chronicle going? Well, I guess I really made a mistake for persuading you to revealing your work on Pokecommunity. Even though I'm happy with the support I have received so far, I have to confess that Pokecommunity is a site filled with jealousness, animosity and intentions.

Yes, I'm just a game developer. I don't watch pokemon anime, I don't participate in online pokemon battle/trades with others, and I don't discuss real world issues on this board as well. You will learn that I'm telling the truth if you ever search my posts one by one, almost none of them are irrelevant to game development. All I have been trying to do is to create a game, a game that I can play, my friends can play, and any other gamers can play...

I used to believe that I can stay out of troubles. I don't expect everyone to like me and my project, but I don't wish anyone of them to hate and behave hostilely on Pokemon HOF. Unfortunately, I'm wrong. There are just too many people on this site, and inevitably you will have to face vallains. They may be cynical, jealous or simply abnormal, but they are sparing no efforts bashing on you and your game. Their opinions are based on nothing, but they are causing the entire community to turn against you. They don't have evidence to prove their "theory", but we can't prove our innocence as well.

My game, for instance, has become a project to "wipe out any other fan games in order to rule the Game Dev Forum", just because someone's malicious post in my co-worker Moose's thread. I already explained this to someone like Pokemon OI that I have no intention to make Pokemon HOF the only existing game on Pokecommunity, and the good news is that he seemed to have understood. However, I'm unable to explain it to everyone, and I'm sure some of them won't listen. It's just like Judges won't listen to the defense from someone who's accused of being a murderer, even if he is actually innocent. I hope you can understand my point as well. Please don't regard Pokemon HOF as a project trying to "clean the board" like some people do.

What will you do if you're trapped in a situation like this? Well, it's good that you don't participate and post frequently on this site. Most people still don't know you and Pokemon Silver Chronicle, so you are less likely to become the target for the Vallains. I suggest you keep your work on that Brazilian website. I don't understand Portuguese but I can tell it's great, a website for people to discuss games. At least no one is being mean to you and your game. I will watch your Pokemon Silver Chronicles video on youtube whenever you release a new one. Please also inform me if you have an official site for Pokemon silver chronicles. I promise I will check it out whenever I have time.

I must thank you again for inspiring my own project -- Pokemon HOF. It's you who convinced me that a multi-region game is attainable, and now I'm stick to it. Have a great weekend!

On windows vista you have to change game.exe properities. Run this program with compatibility mode for windows xp sp2 and run it as administrator. Also you have to change file game.ini. Second line shoud be
Library=RGSS102E.dll

The memory file game.rxdata is broken. The easiest way to fix this problem is to download another game and copy the game.rxdata file to Pokemon Silver Chronicles. It should work this way.

I just finished playing the demo and overall I found it to be quite an enjoyable experience. I did notice a number of mapping errors and though other members have been frowning upon this specifically, the quality of the actual demo itself was good. As for the tiles, rather then simply removing the ones which belong to Remy try contacting her and see if you can persuade her to give you permission.

The language, like most members have said already, will be a set back for you on this forum as most members here speak in English and seeing the game in Portuguese won't attract them as much as it would if they saw English text so rather then waiting until you finish, a translation would be quite a priority if you want to keep her active on here. If you want me to consider doing this for you, drop me a PM.

Yes, it has been asked multiple times and the answer is no, there is not an English version at the moment.

Can someone please help me out here? It still says'Invalid access to memory location.' And I know Hall of Famer said,'The memory file game.rxdata is broken. The easiest way to fix this problem is to download another game and copy the game.rxdata file to Pokemon Silver Chronicles. It should work this way.' But that didn't work. PLEASE! HELP ME!
