Deathnote live action film is good but the annoying thing is, it is in japaness. but the story stays very close to the manga books which is good.

Parasite Eve is another good live action...but that's in Japanese also.


But as for the DBZ live action movie...oh god I hope it doesn't happen... that's such a joke. I mean the anime isn't that popular anymore (granted I still like it, but it seems like a bad time to release a movie) and I mean most game/anime/comic movies are beyond horrible.

So ya... I hope the whole operation tanks before they finish it.

I disagree with you I hope it does get released cause it would be good to see how they have done most of it and Spike is in it so it has got to be good.

I can't wair for two reasons-1. Spike from Angel as King Piccolo; 2. It opens the gates of possibility for a Ranma 1/2 movie!

I don't know about this. They already delay it so it won't compete with their other movies, so I guess they need to still finish up. It might do well or it might flop. Personally it might do well at first, but then it will flop. Or it might flop all together. Got to wait and see. I think with the extra time, they will fix all the problem they had earlier. ^^

It's just not going to work. I mean for one the fighting scenes are going to be BAD and I heard they have some bunk actors for the main characters, including Picalo...someone from Angel was it? Possibly not a bad actor, just wont suit Piccalo and besides this film is just going to have CGI all over it, big time and too much CGI reuins a film, like it ruined I am Legend (imo). I mean, it will make money because of the fans it has, but over all its just going to be crap me thinks.

Good CGI can really help a film out, there's been quite a few movies that have benefited from them. Visually, I'm not worried at all, even though they said 80% of the movie is going to be done in post production, so that means massive CGI. Story wise? It seems like an alternate take on the series, but as long as it's not totally void of Dragon Ball elements, I won't mind. The cast looks pretty good, at least the two main cast members are pretty solid actors from what I've heard.
