View Full Version : The End (13+)

I re-wrote an RP I made a long time ago. This is it. No, I don't feel like writing a forward as to what it's about, too bad.

___

The End

The Rules:

1). There is to be no God-modding at all. I am extremely strict on stuff like this.

2). Cursing is allowed, just don’t overdo it.

3). I want good posters. That means that I want people with proper grammar, that will be committed to this, and remember, people, posts have to be more than four paragraphs long.

4). Please make your sign-ups are decent, If they aren’t, you will probably be denied.

5). Please refrain from flaming other posts, constructive critisism is allowed.

The Plot:

War is never worth having, all it does is create deaths and destruction, and nearly brings the next generation of humans to extinction. The problem is; some people can’t quite realise that, and the Pokèmon world is about to realise the consequences of this.

There are four regions in the world of Pokèmon, each containing their own government, their own Pokèmon and their own people. Some governments suffer corruption, and Kanto is one of those governments.

Satoski Masawoti is the current Prime Minister of Kanto, and last night called a state of alarm throughout the Country. President April Maywah had been shot dead a couple of hours beforehand by a drug gang that ran the drug empire within Kanto. Troops have been deployed everywhere. Police seem to have multiplied since last night. Kanto has already asked for the help of Johto, its closest ally. There have been rumours flying round that the same drug gang are now planning to kill the Elite Four and the various Gym Leaders scattered throughout the region. Children as young as ten are travelling the Country for Gym Battles and without any adult supervision, they could be killed or kidnapped easily.

Johto knows all of this already, but the country has enough to deal with; there have been reports for the last few weeks that an unknown organisation have created a master plan that will allow them to capture all of the Legendary Pokèmon possible, and they plan to execute it tomorrow. Normally a claim such as this would be dismissed as nonsense, but it was spoken by a certain Professor Theodore Elm, a widely respected man throughout the world. When he was asked for evidence, however, he was unable to respond properly and told the people listening to his lecture at Mahogany College that he needed time. The Professor left and began to drive home, it has been reported, but he never made it home. His wife phoned the police and said he was missing after he should’ve arrived home six hours beforehand and wasn’t answering any of her calls. The present time is forty-two minutes past six, exactly three hours after he was reported missing, and nothing has surfaced that might give a hint to his whereabouts. This has stirred up the opinions of people that were at his lecture, and one bright person wanted to know if there was another reason that he was abducted, than if he had given away some crucial information.

Hoenn had never been a wealthy country, and there was a lot of fights breaking out on the streets, often resulting in the death of many, as these fights evolved into riots within minutes. Some would say that no one was running the country, seeing as the president hadn’t been seen alive for two weeks and the public wanted to know where he was. He could be dead, or he could have run away from his duties, but no answers are being given. The region is collapsing and no one is trying to stop it happening.

Sinnoh, on the other hand, is doing the best out of all four regions. It has a stable government and the Pokèmon that are in the possession of trainers are mostly strong and worthy of winning battles. The problem with Sinnoh is that it’s getting too big for its boots, and it refuses to help its neighbours, even in the slightest way. Because of this, Hoenn is ready to declare war on Sinnoh, in order to try to take over its government and, ultimately, take over the region itself. The officials of Sinnoh aren’t worried by that, though. No, they’re worried by a slightly bigger problem, in their eyes, anyways. A creature has seemingly been found on a meadow. The legendary Pokèmon, Shaymin, has been discovered, and now the whole population wants it.

The time is forty-two minutes past six in the evening and the clock is ticking. Something crazy is about to happen, and no one wants to be there when it does. A war is about to break out. The end is near.

So where do you come in?

You are a kid, travelling throughout your native region in search of Gym Battles and Pokèmon. Some would call it an adventure, but no, your real adventure begins on a dark, March night, at forty-two minutes past six precisely. Because that is when you see the report for the first time, whether you’re in a Pokèmon Center or someone’s house, you see the video reports of people trying to capture Shaymin. Do you go after it, or do you leave it to the world of politics and wait for something else? It’s your decision.

Denied. Grammar, personality, appearance, biography and realism are all horific. How does a Poke ball say something? Honestly, there was no thought put into that. And the movesets scared me. Your Dratini was so obviously hacked. Don't bother fixing it, I'm looking for RPers slightly more advanced than you.

Despite all these serious emotions, Patrick still has a highly laughable sense of humor, telling jokes whenever he has the opportunity.

Name: Marcus
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Personality: A loud-mouthed rebelious teenager, who has to have the last word. He always has a one liner to say, weither he is in a bad or good situation. He loves battleing with his pokemon and loves them very much. He is usually quite around people when he first meets them, but as he gets to know them, he opens right up. He isn't afraid to stand up for himself though, that is something he has always done, stood up for himself, and everything he believes in. He does this because of one thing his father said when he was young, and it always stayed with him, "You are the only person who can fight for what you believe in, becasue no one else will care what you believe in."

Appearance (twelve lines or whatnot): He stands at 5' 4", wearing a very punkish attire. His attire consiting of green plaid skinny jeans, a green t-shirt that has a jolly roger on it, and his shoes are a pair of green converses that have the words "Die, Die, Die my darling..." writen on them in black sharpie. He has a very small build and really dosen't appear that strong. He has two wristbands on, one of them green, with a fiend skull on it. The other one it black, and has rows of green pyramid studs.

His hair is something a bit out there, considering his love for punk music, his hair is a small green mohawk, a very messy mohawk to be exact. He has only two piercings on his body, one ear, and one lip. the pircing in his ear has a green cross, and his lip is just a green loop. His eyes have a pair of contacts in them, the contacts make his eye a neon green to match the rest of his attire.

History/Biography (What did he do and how did he live before he became a Pokèmon Trainer? What did he do and how did he manage on his journey so far as a trainer?):

RP sample: "So, you think you can get away with cheating on me?" he says smiling deviously as he pulls his pocket knife out of his pocket and undoing the blade. His smile gets wider as he sees the fear in his ex-lovers face develope, "Now, now, now don't you know who I am?" he then says grabbing her hands that have been tied to a bed post. He gets ontop of her holding her legs down with his own, "Now, this isn't goin to hurt, much, well at least for me," he says pulling the gag out of her mouth. She screams and he gets a little excited, "Sad to say that scream is A LOT hotter then the scream i get while we're in bed."

His ex-lover screams again and he brings his blade to her throat, being careful not to cut her yet, "Hush little baby don't say a word, daddys gonna buy you a big black bird!" he sings slitting her at the last word. "Told you it wasn't goin to hurt me, that much" he says getting off of her. He walks out of the room and walks into his bathroom where he procceds to clean off his pocket knife and hands. Suddenly sirens go off, and he hears yelling from outside, "Damn, looks like its time i take my oil," he says reaching under his sink and pulling out a little revolver. He smiles, "You see, Jimmy boy, it has finally reached that point," he says to his reflection. Bangs on the door are starting to be heard, and he just starts to cry. "I am rather displaced now, either I kill myself or let them take me in," he says to his reflection again. "**** it, I'm not lettin those pigs get me!" he yells putting the gun into his mouth and pulling the trigger blowing apart his skull.

I have two questions... can i finish later, and can we use D/P movepools, and what not. Oh, yeah make that three questions, can my Vulpix be shinny?

Sorry, dog, you're only allowed to have three Pokèmon maximum and they all have to be basic, just so you know.

Yes, take your time, no one likes a rushed sign-up.

Movepools, so long as the Pokèmon learned it at some point since 1998, it's allowed. But not TMs.

No. No shinies. I want this to be as realistic as possible.

Also, from reading your RP sample and your sign-up, I'd advise you to read a guide on why commas were invented and how to use them properly. Also, there are a lot of grammar/spelling mistakes in your sign-up, fix it.

Well, here is a question. (Oh, yeah, I will finish my signup later, k?)

If we are aloud to have three Pokemon each, are we aloud to have Pokemon in the box that we can withdraw when it gets to the fighting parts?

Hmm this seems cool...

Name: Max DéMerigo

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Personality: Max has a very lazy attitude and pretends he doesn’t care for anyone or anything for that matter. This characteristic usually leads him to trouble to find a quick and easy way to get things done, which actually tends to be harder than what he had to do in the first place. He has some sense of humor in hard times to try and brighten things up. He hates work and is always hungry.

Appearance (twelve lines or whatnot):
He is not amazingly tall standing at 5’1” but not incredibly short either. Just because he eats a lot doesn’t mean he’s fat. He is actually slender but not muscular, no pulsing abs and whatnot. What he wears is very laid back. Usually wearing baggy sweatpants, a tee shirt, some black tennis shoes, and a black hoodie. You wouldn’t want to go to a ball or anything fancy in this. His hair is a dark brown as well as his eyes. When you see him nine times out of ten his shoulders would be slumped and his knees bent.

History/Biography (What did he do and how did he live before he became a Pokèmon Trainer? What did he do and how did he manage on his journey so far as a trainer?):
Before Max was a Pokémon Trainer he was a normal kid that went to school and lived with his mom and dad. Lets just say he wasn’t a good student and his laziness got the better of him all the time. He did not have many friends nor did he want any. After twelve years his parents let for him to go out on his own with a pokémon on a journey hoping for him to make friends and have adventures.

RP sample: I’m just making this up off the top of my head here…

…. Then he sees her. The lifeless corpse lay there as his heart starts beating harder and harder, the gun still smoking in his hand …
“ What have I done?” He stammered, his arm started shaking, his hold on the gun eased, and a loud clang rang through the room as the weapon connected with the ground. His mind started racing… “ What did I just do?” He repeated, his whole body shaking now, filled with fear.
Another look at the blood stained corpse and the red pool on the floor and he knew what he had done was a mistake. His legs wanted to run, his head wanted to look away, but he couldn’t. Suddenly water filled his eyes and it overflowed out of the dam he was building.
“**** it all!” He shouted as he bolted for the door. “It shouldn’t have come to this!”

…How was it?

RocketMeowth
March 19th, 2008, 05:11 PM
Name: Rocket T. (Thergood) Zater

Age: 12

Gender: Female

Personality: It's mixed. The way her personality is shown depends on what's going on around her. This is the result of a tortured past and a worry of the future. Because of her personality being like this, she's made no friends aside from her Pokemon, and has been alone ever since she ran off from her family.

Appearance: She's not tall at all. Standing at a short 5'2", she ranges in the 'vertically challenged' group (at least she thinks so). She weighs only 90 lbs. She sports and all black attire, her stomach showing just a bit. Her black shirt has long sleeves and isn't heavy at all. Her pants are the same way. They stretch all the way down to her shoes, ending in a bell shape and are very light.

Her hair is spiked a bit, shooting up and forward above her forehead. It's a fiery read color and has a single black streak on th front side. Her eyes on the other hand are a deep blue color, resembling that of a night time sky.

Not only as a symbol of her favorite Pokemon, but as a treasure given to her by her father before she went to Pokemon Tech, she wears a fake Amulet Coin. Though fake, it holds fond memories of her father and all he did for her. It hangs by a silver chain and is never taken off.

History/Biography: Rocket's history is nothing to wipe a smile at. She was born to a rich family and worse, a controlling mother. There wasn't a single day Rocket could remember where her mother wasn't trying to turn Rocket into a reflection of herself. And what was that reflection? A nurse. Rocket's mother was a top nurse where they lived and because of that, was conceited.

When Rocket turned four, her mother surprised her with a train ticket to Pokemon Tech. This was a private school that taught everything from becoming a trainer to a professor to a nurse and so on. This was where her nursing studies would begin and conclude when she was nineteen years of age. She was to then return home a proud nurse just like her mother wanted. There was just one problem.

Rocket wanted to become a Pokemon master.

The train tickets didn't thrill her in the least bit. She had no choice though seeing as she was only four and unable to fight back with her mother. Her father though, as generous and kind hearted as he was, was intimidated by the mother and did nothing to help.

During her years at Pokemon Tech, she befriended only one other person. A young flying Pokemon lover named Zane Hawkins. He was also a technology wiz and helped Rocket switch out from her nurse courses and into battle and trainer courses without her mother finding out. It was only because of him that she didn't go virtually insane in classes she hated.

When she turned eleven, she had had enough. She no longer wanted to be in Pokemon Tech or even near her controlling mother. She snuck out at 2 a.m. with Zane and they both ran off with the Pokemon they had each picked as Pokemon Tech starters. Eventually, Rocket's mother found out about this and chased after her.

She's still chasing, and Rocket's still running. Zane however, went on a different path to locate and capture every Pokemon that could fly. it was only at his completion of this would he return to Rocket. until then, Rocket would be alone with her Pokemon, running not just for hers and their lives, but for their overall freedom.

Pokèmon: Meowth

Nickname: Coin

Gender: Male

History: Coin was never really "caught". He was the Pokemon Rocket had chosen to be her Pokemon tech starter. She was at first to get a Chansey, but when she saw the torture Coin underwent, she chose him instead.

Ever since his birth, Coin was known as not a Meowth, but a battle slave. He was pitted up against Pokemon ten times stronger and ten times higher in level. This wasn't to raise him though. It was to beat him senseless at the entertainment of others. He was hardly fed, was kept in a small crampt cage outside, and had water thrown on him instead of given to him in a bowl. His life was a living hell.

Rocket one day saw him being forced to fight a Nidoking. She watched as the poor feline cried out in agony as the horned Pokemon kicked him into the wall and stabbed him mercelessly with its horn. She couldn't take such treatment and ran to his safety.

At first glance, he feared her. But as time went on and as she cared for him, his trust in her and only her grew. He's now very close to her and will never leave her side. Rocket doesn't even keep him in a Pokeball because she enjoys his company.

Pokèmon: Aerodactyl

Nickname: Slauve

Gender: Male

History: Slauve was caught in the mountains. Because of what he is, he was not only a once in a life time chance, but a very difficult capture. Rocket spent over a month in the mountains tracking and battling him. Each day she followed him, marking down noted places that he favored over others. Eventually she found a pattern in his movements and was able to keep up with him.

When it came to the battle, rocket was scared out of her mind. Coin on the other hand wanted to fight as a way to get revenge on all those Pokemon that beat him senseless back at Pokemon Tech.

The battles were all merciless, each ending the same way with Coin knocked out. But over time, and through many injuries, they brought the Aerodactyl to a weak point in HP. They did this by not just battling it constantly, but by taking away a lot of the Oran berries that could heal it. It was still a struggle because of the fact Aerodactly could fly.

But again, they found a way to get passed that and bring the ancient terror down to the ground. Rocket wasted over fifty pokeballs (bought with money she stole from her mother) on him before the final click of the fifty-first.

Pokèmon: Abra

Nickname: Alaster

Gender: Male

History: Alaster's capture was a lot easier then Slauve's was. Because he was just an Abra all he could do was teleport in and out of battle. Rocket knew that she'd have to act fast if she wanted this psychic type. But for some odd reason, Alaster never once teleported out from the fight.

When fighting, Alaster teleported to dodge moves made by Coin while at the same time, using rocks and sticks to fight with. His bravery hit Rocket hard, making her want this small Pokemon even more! The fight lasted for over an hour, each move being dodged by Teleport and then being countered by teleport.

She could have used Slauve to take Abra down with ease, but she felt that a match up like that would be too one sided on her end. She wanted a challenge. Alaster brought her that second challenge.

The battle eventually came to a halt, with the result being Alaster's capture.

I'll get my RPG example up in a bit. I have to do something right now.

~::~~:~

Now, I wasn't too sure with Aerodactyl. Considering he has no pre-evo or evolution, he technically fits in the category of being a first stage and not going against the rules you set. But with him being the way he is (an Aerodactyl) I wasn't too sure.

I made sure though to make his capture as difficult as I could to give it a more, realistic type feel. That way it doesn't seem like she caught him by a stroke of luck or something.

She jumped in and soon became Tyson's best friend.

Cacnea, show me the power of pin missile plus a needle arm." the two Pokemon jumped and delivered their attacks as so, but some problems came up. Name: Madeline (Maddie) Fogheart

Age: 14

Gender: female

Personality: Maddie may look like a happy-go-lucky 14 year old, but she's really secretly depressed. She is rather shy, almost to the point where she's afraid of people. She often likes sitting in her room alone, sometimes while crying, sometimes while cutting, and sometimes while just laying there staring at the ceiling. Most of the time when people try and talk to her, she'll just ignore them, and sometimes, she'll run away. She doesn't have any friends, so she bonded very closely with her Pokemon.

Appearance: Maddie doesn't look as depressed as she is. Her hair is actually one of the least depressing colors out there: pink. In fact, it's bright pink. This is her natural hair color, even though she has considered dying black or dark brown. It is also rather long, going down to about the bottom of her shoulders in length. Her eyes are what a lot of people would call pretty. They're bright blue, and rather large. Maddie however wants them to look a little more dark and mysterious, so she wears thick eyeliner around them. She also wears mascara to make her short eyelashes seem long. Her skin is overall, pretty pale, but it fits with her eye color and skin color. For clothes, she wears a plain black hoodie with a black t-shirt with a skull and crossbones underneath, black jeans, and black heals.

History/Biography: Maddie lived in Lavander Town, Kanto, her whole life. When she was first born, she was a very happy girl. However, living in such a depressing town made her somewhat depressed at around the age of 6. However, she didn't really become depressed until the age of 11, when both of her parents were killed of an unknown cause. They always wanted her to be a sucsessful Pokemon trainer, so despte sadness, she started her journey a year later, when she was 12. When she was 13, she unsucsessfully attempted suicide by laying on the street waiting to be run over. She got run over, but the driver drove her to the hospital and she recovered. Moveset: Bite, Shadow Ball, Dig, Iron Tail

RP Sample: Maddie as usual, sat in her room, just laying there, staring at the ceiling. She frowned. She decided to go outside. When she was outside, a blond kid around her age walked up to her. "Hi, my name is Ryan. What's yours?" The boy must have been pretty outgoing to just walk up to Maddie and talk to her, but Maddie wasn't as outgoing. She just ignored him. "Um... hello?" Ryan said. Maddie ran away, however, Ryan chased after her. Many thoughts ran through her head. "Why is this kid chasing me? I mean, seriously... He must be out to get me."

Well, here is a question. (Oh, yeah, I will finish my signup later, k?)

If we are aloud to have three Pokemon each, are we aloud to have Pokemon in the box that we can withdraw when it gets to the fighting parts?

Sorry, I wasn't clear on my last post. I just meant that you could only have three starter Pokèmon maximum. Six Pokèmon are allowed to be carried around, over that must go into the box.

Pokémon: Nidoran ♂
Nickname: None
Gender: Male (duh)
History: Right after obtaining Bulbasaur a wild Nidoran ♂ came across is path, he was new then and just chucked a poké ball at it, and luckily he caught it.

The history/biography needs patching up and the history of all the Pokèmon aren't... You know, descriptive enough.

~::~~:~

=^^= Nya

Well... You're alive, apparently.

Accepted, so long as the Aerodactyl is a baby and therefore weak. Nice sign-up, by the way.

Name: Tyson
Age: 13
Gender: Male
Personality: Tyson likes to train his Pokemon for new attacks and contest. He can get side tracked very quickly and is usually called a dope. He is able to come up with some good plans for attack when catching Pokemon or battles. He shows love for his Pokemon, has lots of courage, and belives that there should be peace between Pokemon and trainer.

Appearance: Tyson has short blonde hair always worn down. He wears a red shirt with a snorlax face on the back. He usually wears two black wristbands, one has a grass symbol on it, and the other has a water symbol on it. Tyson always wears his blue jeans. His shoes are black gym shoes that are good for running long distances. Tyson's eyes are brown and he wears a pendant from his grandmother around his neck.

Biography: Tyson's dream was to become a coordinator after watching a contest with his grandmother. He later found out she used to be a coordinator too. Just as he was about to tell her about becomimg a coordinator, but his grandmother died of a heart attack. After her death Tyson swore he would win the Grand Festival, just like she had. Tyson decided to go onward to Hoenn and start his journey, but acccidentially went to Sinnoh. While in Sinnoh he recruited Piplup as his starter and went back to Hoenn. As he went to Hoenn Tyson learned about ther war, but soon lost interest in the subject. Tyson arrived in Hoenn and after saving Cacnea started to go on his contest path.

Pokemon: Cacnea

Gender: Male

History: Cacnea was being chased by Taillow and its group. It was cornered by a rock and was targeted by an aerial ace. Tyson came in with a net and shoed them away. Cacnea was happy and gave Tyson a hug. With that hug Tyson and Cacnea became a team.

Moveset: Needle arm, Pin missile, sandstorm

Pokemon: Piplup

Gender: Female

History: She is the starter of Tyson's team and his best friend. Piplup was waiting in Rowan's lab for her trainer to come back. Sadly the trainer had traded her for a Buizel. Piplup started to cry, but soon Tyson came and dried those tears. Piplup was happy and Tyson asked Rowan for permission to take Piplup. So they became partners ever since.

Moveset: Bubblebeam, Peck, Wing Attack

RP Sample: As Tyson moved forward he stopped and let his Pokemon out of their pokeballs. Piplup leaped in the air and landed in his lap. Cacnea charged at Tyson and gave him a big hug. Tyson flinched a little but then laughed it off. Now, Tyson decided to start on the combinations for their first contest. "Piplup, use bubblebeam in a spin, then take them down with your wing attack. Cacnea, show me the power of pin missile plus a needle arm." the two Pokemon jumped and delivered their attacks as so, but some problems came up. Piplup became to dizzy and flew herself into Cacnea, who was about to use needle arm. The two collided and knocked each other out. "Well pratice does make perfect." said Tyson with a sweatdrop.

Same problem as 41Victory.

But since her attempt at suicide, nothing significant happened.

Maddie ran away, however, Ryan chased after her. Many thoughts ran through her head. "Why is this kid chasing me? I mean, seriously... He must be out to get me."

Her parents died of unknown causes? Care to elaborate?

And the history of the Pokèmon are all... Lacking quality.

This Roleplay sounds like a wonderful idea, very promising, and like it might actually go somewhere, unlike a few other Roleplays i've wasted time submitting applications to. Anyways, seeing as I don't have any time tonight, I hope it's okay if I wait until tomorrow to submit mine.

Okay, I will try and apply. I hope my writing skills aren’t lacking x3.

Name: Rose Pryce

Age: 14

Gender: Female

Personality: Rose is a very naive young girl. She is optimistic and can be very determined, even when the odds are against her she gives it her best; perhaps a tad stubborn when her innocent determination takes over. Also, her childlike behavior sometimes undermines her views of the horrid events taking place around her.

Appearance: Rose is 5' 4" and has an average build, slightly curved, but not to busty; she has a longer torso with shorter legs. Her skin is a light peach with pink tones. Instead of getting the bronze tan she always seems to get irritating sun burns.

Her hair is a golden blonde, slightly wavy at the tips, with side swept bangs. She changes her hairstyle depending on her clothing and mood, but most of the time she is with two pigtails. Normally her hair, when down, hits the middle of her back.

She likes to wear cute, but comfortable clothes since she is a Pokemon trainer. Her main outfit is a white collared shirt with a mauve sweater vest over it; the vest has the picture of a pókeball in the upper right-hand corner. Her bottom is a khaki skirt with pleats, accessorized with white leggings, so she can move freely. Her shoes are black and white converse style with black shoelaces.

History/Biography: Rose lived with her younger sister and single mom in the Hoenn region. Her mother is a retired contest contestant and trained her two daughters to follow in her footsteps. Even though Rose is very girly and tagged a 'prep' she was determined to become a Pokemon trainer. Her mother protested her daughter's wishes, but after taking matters into her own hands, Rose was given a chance to show her willpower on becoming a Pokemon trainer. The two agreed that Rose would battle a first time trainer like herself at Professor. Birch's lab and if she won she could follow her dream. Sadly, she lost, but her mother finally realized her daughter’s feelings and the way she connected with the Pokemon. She allowed Rose to begin her journey.

Rose soon found out her mother was against her becoming a Pokemon trainer because of her father, a trainer who also loved Pokemon, but departed their family because of it. Rose made a promise to her mother that she would come back one day, but after she was considered a master and beaten the Elite Four in all four regions.

Pokèmon: Mudkip

Moveset: Watergun, Foresight, Take Down, and Whirlpool.
-----
Pokèmon: Mareep

Nickname: Crescent

Gender: Male

History: Crescent was abandoned by his Pokemon trainer and set into the wild. Being a pampered pet, the harshness of the wilderness was overpowering. When Rose came upon him he was too weak to fight even though he put up a tough front by attacking Cascade. Eventually, put out by its own efforts, Rose took it to a Poke Center. The next morning Crescent found Cascade and Rose sleeping by his bed. He was so touched he gladly joined the team.

Moveset: Thundershock, Tackle, Growl, and Thunder Wave.

-----

Pokèmon: Plusle

Nickname: Muffin

Gender: Female

History: Muffin joined the trio by its on accord, taking a place on Rose's shoulder after being fed the delight that is Pokemon food. Muffin has an upbeat nature and loves to joke around with the other Pokemon. She doesn't like to battle much, but gives it her all when forced to.
Moveset: Growl, Quick Attack, Helping Hand, ad Fake Tears.

-----

RP Example~

Rose stretched her limbs, her hair catching the rays from the sun, her bouncy pigtails glowing a bright gold. Muffin, her upbeat Plusle, clung to her shoulder, basking in the warmth like her owner. After a good nights rest at the local Pokèmon Center, the young trainer was eager to begin the day, hoping that perhaps a battle or new addition to the team was included in the schedule.
"Are you hungry?" She asked, grinning up at Muffin who nodded energetically. Rose chuckled, knowing how much the small creature loved the Pokèmon food she carried.
Sitting down at a bench outside of the Center, she slid her backpack from her shoulders and rummage inside for the plastic container of brown pellets and a bowl. Muffin hopped down onto the bench next to her, squeaking as Rose shook some of the delightful pellets into the little bowl.

-----

I hope that was good enough for you. Let me know if I need to change anything.~

(Before I get started, I will let you know that I am going to be trying this a little bit different. I will be writing in a journal-like style. Hope it does not bug you.)

Entry 1: A Simple Introduction

My father always told me that I should try to leave my mark on the world. He said that I needed to do something great so that people will always remember my name. I believe his exact words were "A name is nothing more than crap if it isn't on the mass's hearts, minds, and lips." I had always assumed the old man was just bitter about his life, but eventually I began to see what he meant. Everyone wants to be remembered, to be idolized to a certain degree. I guess I am no different.

Name: Samuel Anders
Age: 14
Gender: Male

Entry 2: Personality

People have told me that I can be rather cold-hearted sometimes. To that I usually respond, "Thank you. And you can be rather idiotic sometimes." I have come to find that this is definitely not the response to give people, especially adults. It usually makes it harder to get what you want from them. I have also come to find out that I am not smart enough to follow this advice. So, I guess you could say that while I am cold-hearted some of the time, I am a smartass all of the time. Now that is not to say that I do not care about others. I could just care less about their feelings. I do what needs to get done regardless of how people feel about it. If that makes me a horrible person then so be it. I would rather be a horrible person who gets things done than a good person who is paralyzed by people pleasing.

Some once told me, "Boy, make sure you always do the right thing. It might not be the easiest decision, but it will always be the most satisfying." Now, the woman who told me this was rather old and somewhat senile, but I don't feel I could hold that against her in her moment of clarity. Do what is right. I have found, since I started my journey, that people don't want what is right. Typically, they want what is fair. Right is not always a fun situation for people. Right is sometimes downright hard. And like people say, "If you can't do it easily, don't do it at all. Who am I to judge though? Everyone lives their own way. Just because I live my life better than most other doesn't make me a better person. Right?

Entry 3: Appearance

I guess it would be important for the reader of this journal, if there ever will be a reader, to know what I look like. Well, I have black hair, short and extremely curly black hair. It falls down to about my eyebrows, and I try to not let it go any further than that. My face has a clear complexion but isn't too attractive, at least I don't think, after that. My nose is crooked thanks to a poorly healed broken nose when I was younger. A rather large scar, a souvenir from a lost fight, cuts across my face from the left side of my nose down to my jaw. My ears are big, and my smile is missing a few teeth. That isn't to say my teeth are bad. The majority that are left and pretty straight and a nice white color. The only redeeming quality my face possesses are my bright green eyes. I have been told they are rather stunning.

My body is nothing to marvel at. I am of average height and weight for my age. I am not the strongest or fastest kid in the world, though I do have a quick step. In a physical fight, I will lose more than win. My mind is my trump card. Needless to say, I tend to keep my shirt on. My taste in clothes is not great, but it gets me by. I typically wear a simple white T-shirt with a casual green button-down over it. Not liking the confining feeling of a long-sleeve shirt though, I cut the sleeves off the button-down. I prefer to wear khaki shorts and sandals, but I am not opposed to jeans and boots if the occasion calls for it.

Entry 4: History/Biography

My mom use to tell me that you cannot begin to understand one’s present until you have experienced their past. Well, I don’t know how to let you “experience” my past, but I can least explain it to you. I was born in the small town of Roseleaf. If you have never heard of Roseleaf before, it is not a big surprise. The town isn’t much to look at. It’s a small town full of small town people and has no attractions to draw a crowd. The people, however, like it this way. “No need to change what has work for years,” some of the older residents would say. I felt differently. The town was dull and never changing. I needed excitement. That is what really got me interested in becoming a trainer. I needed to get out of that small town.

My dad, Keith, was very supportive of my decision. I think partly because he was never able to have an adventure of his own. Having married at a young age, his life was dedicated to his wife, Debra. Responsibility had a way of getting in the way of fun. Thankfully, my father was a good man and took his role as husband seriously. I wouldn’t be here today if he hadn’t. I can tell he still longs for adventure and excitement though. On the day I left, I could see the regret in his eyes. I doubt it is something he will ever get over.

My mom and my nine year old sister, Amanda, were not as happy as my dad in my decision. My mom felt I was too young, too inexperienced, and too irresponsible. She tried to talk me out of the journey every other day. I still don’t think she respects my decision to leave. Even six months after leaving, I still hear from her, when I call home, about how I need to come home. Hopefully that will change soon. Very soon. Amanda, also known as my shadow, was a bit different. She was crushed when she heard I was going to leave. However, unlike my mom, she was just as excited as me about my upcoming adventure. From the time I mentioned my leaving until the actually day I left, the only time I was without Amanda was when I went to the bathroom and when I slept. It didn’t bother me though. It gave me plenty of time to give her advice and prepare her for time without me. She will do fine. It won’t be too long before she starts her own journey.

I am not the same person I was when I started my journey. The child-like faith I had in humanity and the kindness I showed to everyone have long been stripped by lies and deceit. I learned early on in my travels that most people couldn’t be trust. It’s a lesson I will never forget. My first pokémon, a very energetic Mankey, is no longer with me because of that mistake. I remember it like it was yesterday. I had been traveling for about month when it happened. I was a few hours outside of town named Jerton. It had been a long day, and I was dying of thirst. I could have easily made it into town without a drink, but I decided to trust the kindness of a stranger instead. I had seen the man relaxing against a tree from a distance but thought nothing of it. It was until I got closer that I noticed the bottles of water he had sitting around him. Looking back, I should have known something was wrong. Everything from the convenient water to the way he eyed Clyde, my Mankey, screamed out that something was wrong. But I will still naïve to the ways of most people. It only took a few minutes for the drugs in the water to take effect. When I woke back up, all of my supplies and Clyde were gone. I searched for the rest of the day but never found the man again. I collapsed in despair on the outskirts of town. If it hadn’t been for the kindness of an elderly gentleman, I would have most likely stayed there.

I was untrusting of the old man at first, having just suffered for my blind trust in a person, but soon he earn my respect. He showed me no ill will, only kindness. He lived by himself. All of his children were long gone and his wife had passed away from old age. He was a kind fellow who only wanted to help. After hearing my story, he offered me a place to stay for a short period of time. I didn’t find out till a few days later that the man had connections in the pokémon community. Apparently, he had told my story to one of his good friends. The man, a pokémon professor, felt sorry for me and decided to help. The man contacted a pokémon breeder than he knew and inquired for a replacement for me. The breeder did what she could, and soon I was the owner of a brand new Buizel. The pokémon could never replace my first, but I felt a stronger attachment to it than I ever had for my Mankey. Thanking the old man first all my heart, I vowed to one day revisit and return the kindness he had shown me. The episode taught me much. It taught me that while most humans are deceitful and only out for themselves, there are a few that do what is right.

Entry 5: A New Mission

I have recently heard rumors of interesting activities in Johto, mainly the disappearance of a Professor Theodore Elm. He is supposedly an authority on pokémon in the region. I have heard his name somewhere before, but I can’t really remember where. Rumor has it he had some important information on criminal activity in Johto. It was something about capturing legendary pokémon I believe. Regardless, the man went missing sometime ago. At least that was what the new alert said. Funny, a man who says he has valuable information of criminal activity goes missing soon after. I wonder if there is a connection there. Why am I writing this? Well, I have never been off of Kanto in my life. I believe that this is a good enough reason to change that. Plus, this man needs help. I am sure they have hundreds of people looking for him. One more person helping couldn’t hurt. Anyways, I am leaving Lavender town tonight and heading towards Vermilion City. From there I should be able to get a ride to Johto.

Pokémon: Buizel
Nickname: Clydesdale
Gender: Male
History: Clydesdale, while being the pokémon that Samuel has had for the longest time, is Samuel’s second acquired pokémon. Clydesdale, often called just Clyde, was born by a breeder named Jennifer Coddwell. After hearing about Samuel’s story from a good friend of hers, Jennifer decided to help Samuel by giving him a replacement for his Mankey. The Buizel was barely a year old when Samuel received him but has grown greatly since then. While Clydesdale is still young, he has been in many battles and has shown much potential to be a great battler. Clyde is very laid back and enjoys spending most of his time out of his pokéball. Of Samuel’s current pokémon, Clyde is the second strongest and smartest. He follows orders quickly and is very effective at completing said orders.
Move set: Sonicboom, Water Sport, Quick Attack, Water Gun

Pokemon: Scyther
Nickname: Radiance
Gender: Female
History: Radiance, often called Rad by Samuel, was the first pokémon Samuel actually caught. It had been early one morning when Samuel came across the Scyther. The bug pokémon was not very friendly and didn’t like other pokémon anywhere near her territory. As soon as she saw Clyde, the bug pokémon attacked. Thankfully, the Scyther was young and not as strong as fully grown Scyther. The battle was hard on both Clyde and Samuel, but in the end, they won and the Scyther was capture. Radiance is the strongest of Samuel’s pokémon and the most protective on him. She tends to think that she is the only pokémon Samuel needs and doesn’t really get along with Clyde. For this reason, Samuel tends to keep Radiance in her pokéball. In battle, Radiance tends to follow orders, but tends to stop listening if she gets mad. Her short temper can be a liability, but it is something that is slowly getting better.
Moveset: Quick Attack, Leer, Focus Energy, Agility

Pokemon: Whismur
Nickname: Woodsworth
Gender: Male
History: Samuel didn’t really catch Woodsworth. During his journey, Samuel can across a very old lady who was having trouble carry some bags to her home. Not having anything to do at the time, Samuel offered to help and got the lady safely back to her home. On the way to her house, Samuel found out that the lady had a granddaughter who was suppose to start her own pokémon journey not too long ago. The old lady had been gotten a pokémon for the girl as a present: a Whismur. Unfortunately, the girl decided that a pokémon journey was not for her at the last minute. Not wanting to be away from home for that long, she continued her education. Well, the Whismur was in a bit of a bind. The pokémon needed a good trainer and the girl had not intention of being one. Reaching the ladies house, Samuel was about to say his good-bye when the lady said she had something for him. Walking into her house, the lady returned after a few minutes with a pokéball. Handing Samuel the pokéball, the lady told him that it was his reward for helping her. Samuel tried to decline but the lady would hear nothing of it. Giving up, Samuel accepted the gift and continued his journey. Woodsworth is cocky jokester. That is the best way to describe his attitude. If out of his pokéball, he will do his best to play a trick of some kind or other. He also tends to try and pick fights. His attitude can cause trouble for Samuel so he is typically in his pokéball.
Moveset: Pound, Uproar, Astonish, Howl

RPG Sample (This a RPG I was in a while back.)

Shade turned to see the face of Jonathan Anders. He was a boy from Shade's hometown. He was 6'3" and the same age as Shade. He had short brown hair that he spiked up with gel, making it shine. Johnathan wore a black leather jacket with a simple white t-shirt under it and dark blue jeans. He also had on polished, black dress shoes. It was clear that he always tried to make a good first impression, and Shade knew it from experience. Jonathan had, at one time, gone out with Shade's sister, Amanda. Shade like the kid at the time and thought nothing of it. It was not till later that Shade found out that Jonathan was one of the members of the gang that beat Amanda up. They got into many fights after that and Jonathan has always had it out for Shade. It was not a big surprise to Shade when he heard that Jonathan, along with most of the other kids in the gang, joined Team Rocket.

"To what do I own the displeasure of seeing your face again Jonathan?"

"Ouch, Shade, that one hurt. It seems you still have not learned any manners since we last met. By the way, how is you sister, Amanda, doing? It has been a long time since I last saw her pretty... eyes."

"DON'T YOU EVER SPEAK HER NAME!" A fire rose into Shade's eyes as he glared at the smug figure of Jonathan.

Jonathan, however, just smiled.

"Eww, it seems I have hit a nerve. To answer your question, Roseleaf was too boring for my tastes. It was not tough enough. The boys of the town did not give me much of a challenge, always running away you see." Jonathan smirk grew as he continued. "The reason I stayed was for you sister, but once you found out about me and separated us, I had no real reason to stay. That is when I turned to Team Rocket. They gave me the excitement I wanted."

Shade's face continued to grow redder. Calloway had gone into an attack position on his shoulder. It took all Shade had not to punch the kid in his face.

"It was you then," Shade said three clenched teeth. "You were the one that attack those other trainers today. You have sunk to a new low Jonathan. Joining a group like Team Rocket, that is pathetic. I guess you were too afraid to hit the world alone. I am not surprised though. You go from beating up kids half your age to attacking trainer that have hardly any experience. By the way, how many of you did it take to loose. Considering they had you to slow them down, I would guess around 20 more than usual."

It was Shade that hit a nerve this time. Though it was only for a second, Jonathan?s face lost it composure.

"It was not my fault those idiots can't beat a few brats!? Jonathan yelled, his face growing just as red as Shade's. He quickly regained from his outburst, however, and continued. "I did not personally attack the other trainers. You are the reason I am here. You see, when the leader told us about this mission, he also gave the names of the trainers we would be attacking. I was quite pleased to see your name on the list and made sure I was sent with the group. Now is my chance to prove how weak you really are Shade. I will make you pay for all those times in Roseleaf."

Pulling out a pokeball of his own, Jonathan released a powerful looking Machop onto the field.

"And what if I refuse to fight you"

"That would be most unfortunate for you. Not only would my Machop tear you apart, but I might also accidentally call some friends and have them visit your family for you."

That was the last straw. Picking Calloway off his shoulder, Shade looked into the eyes of the small Weedle.

"He might have more strength that you, but you have more of a reason to fight. Let's show this punk what he is worth."

He might be strong, but I am a lot smarter. I will take him out with ease. Just make sure you have some that food ready when I am down. The Weedle was filled with an intense excitment.

"Sure thing, let's just focus on the battle right now."

Backing up, Shade and Jonathan stared each other down. Both waited for the other to make the first move. Their pokemon sat anxiously waiting for their orders. Each prepared to unleash whatever attack they were commanded. Silence filled the empty street for what seemed like forever. It was finally broken by the hate filled voice of Jonathan.

"Machop, tear it apart. Have no mercy on the weaklings. Split it in half with a karate chop"

"Calloway, that Machop is much faster than you. Hit it with a string shot to slow it down."

The Weedle launched a string of web at the oncoming Machop. The Machop, running toward the Weedle so quickly, was unable to dodge the attack. The web struck the Machop straight on and it was soon covered in web.

"Nice shot Calloway. Now you can..."

Shade froze as he saw, to his dismay, the Machop break the web with ease and continue its path towards Calloway. As got close enough, the Machop jumped in the air, preparing to bring a battle-ending karate chop down on the Weedle.

"Calloway, get out of there!" Shade yelled at his pokemon. The message was receive just in time as the Weedle rolled to the left as the Machop slammed the ground right beside it. The impacted, however, was so great that Calloway was sent flying through the air and hit the dirt a couple yards away. The damage was thankfully minimal, and Calloway quickly got up.

This guy is stronger than he looks, and he looked pretty dang strong to begin with.

"Come, come now Shade. Do you really think that pathetic Weedle even has a chance against my Machop? You will need to do a lot better it you intend to beat me."

Shade knew Jonathan spoke some truth. Calloway, while having a lot of heart and determination, was not physically strong enough to fight the Machop. He would have to find another way to beat him. If not, his journey would end before it even began.

"Come on Calloway, we can't let him beat us. I have a promise to keep and there is no way he will make me break it. The first round went to him. Let's win the rest."

Name: Madelyn Jane Maywah

Nickname: Maddie

Age: Fourteen

Gender: Female

History: Maddie used to be a cheerful, happy child, polite and graceful, compassionate toward other people and Pokemon, kind-hearted, and overall fun to be around until the event that occured twenty-four hours ago which thrust her world into complete turmoil. Born as the daugher of April and Thomas Maywah, Maddie's family has always been very wealthy, and she has been granted everything she wanted. Despite being obviously spoiled, Maddie didn't let it affect the way she lived. Even though she was rich, in her spare time instead of practice-battling with other young trainers and attending public school to prepare her for her Pokemon journey, Maddie chose of her own free-will to be home-schooled, barely socializing with any others of her own age and instead helping to raise the awareness of Pokemon maltreatment and neglect throughout the Kanto region. She started her campaign along with Dahlia, the abused Eevee she stumbled upon that inspired her to campaign, and being as famous as she is, was automatically heard by all the people. Though she was young, she ran a good campaign (Some say she got it from her mother) and people actually took her seriously. For four years, Maddie dedicated every aspect of her life to her cause and gave hundreds of speeches in every town of Kanto. This Summer, she had planned to travel with her parents and Dahlia to the Johto region where they would be meeting with the President of Johto, and bring her campaign there, eventually working her way up to the Sinnoh region. Then her plans were destroyed. The seeimingly innocent girl who had always fought for what was right had snatched away from her the most important person in her life, her mother, who was assassinated by one of Kanto's numerous drug gangs. Her mother had been trying to bust the gangs for years, and was believed to have found out a vital piece of information when she was ruthlessly killed. When she found out about her mother's death, Maddie was shocked and enraged, her delight and love for the world and all its people melting into a furious wrathful hate as she vowed revenge on the drug boss who killed her mother. Though it has only been a day, Maddie had withdrawn into a world of her own: A world dead-set on avenging her mother's death and busting the drug boss who ordered her killed. Though Maddie was expected to comfort her people in this time of mourning and loss, Maddie left with only one trace of her disapperance: A note promising that she would return only when her mission was complete. The note was left for her father, and he decided not to let it be known that she was missing in such dangerous times, afraid that without security she would immediately be hunted down by the drug gangs and kidnapped or killed. He has hired a very skilled man to find and bring her back, though he has no leads as to where she might be going so far. The only person to know of Maddie's disappearance is an old family friend, Professor Oak, who has promised not to tell anyone of her whereabouts, and even gave her an extra Pokemon to help her on her journey. Besides Professor Oak, no one knows where Maddie could be (Most don't even know she's missing) except for her longtime childhood friend, Gary Oak.

Personality: Maddie used to be a very happy and energetic young girl, enthusiastic about her cause, and determined to get her point across to every person in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and eventually Sinnoh. She used to be very compassionate and kind toward everything, always trying to stay optimistic like her mother and look for the good in everything as opposed to the bad. This attitude always made her very appealing, and good around people and Pokemon alike. She was a natural-born speaker, and when she says something, people usually listen. She prefers not to fight physically unless it comes down to it, but when she does, she latches on and refuses to stop until she's given it her all. Though Maddie is no longer so positive and upbeat, being wrecked with grief, she still prefers not to immediately jump into fight, instead sitting back and letting the opponent make the first move while she contemplates how to counter it. Maddie still has a great deal of compassion for people and Pokemon, but hardly shows it anymore, keeping to herself, and only stepping in when need be. She is focused on one thing and one thing only now: Revenge. Whether it takes her to the Orange Islands, or thousands of miles away to Sinnoh she doesn't care, she swears on her life to avenge her mother, and will not move on with her life until she has.

Appearance:
Maddie is a very petite and slender girl, being at a rather short height of 5’3’ inches, and weighing a mere 100 pounds. Her size and weight have never been much of an issue though, as her powerful skills in speech make her seem much bigger than what she actually is. Everything about her is small, from her thin shoulders to her tiny legs and feet. Her face is more heart-shaped than oval, with large, beautiful crystal blue irises framed by long black lashes. She has no need or want to wear make-up, and refuses to put it on for anyone. Unlike some girls, she thinks she looks better without it. Her hair is long, falling to her mid-back in loose curls, framing her face and sometimes hiding the right side in a natural side-part. It is Golden Honey Blonde in color, and is most often styled up in a halfway ponytail. The bow she wears in her hair is hot pink with white polka dots and a tiny dancing Pikachu in the middle of it. It is a bow she never takes off, as it belonged to her mother. The outfits she wears varies, but most of the time she can be seen in a Sundress of some type, always in pastel colors. The most commonly worn by her is a loosely flowing white Sundress, a think pastel pink ribbon tied in a tiny sash around her waist. She wears a pair of white leather sandals on her feet. On her back she wears a small plush backpack, the backpack being shaped as the head of her favorite legendary Pokemon, Mewtwo. An Umbreon keychain dangles from it. Around her neck, she wears a necklace given to her by a dear friend for good luck.

Pokemon:
Eevee

Nickname: Dahlia

Gender: Male

Moveset: Tackle, Quick Attack, Dig, Toxic

History: Dahlia is Maddie’s most loyal Pokemon, and her best friend in the entire world. Her campaign promoting friendship between people and Pokemon and stopping abuse and neglect was inspired by this tough little Eevee, who she found battered, bruised, and bleeding on the outskirts of Pallet Town where her mom was paying a visit to Professor Oak. Maddie didn’t think twice before picking the young Pokemon up and rushing him immediately to the Lab where he received treatment immediately. Later, Maddie rode with the Eevee to the Pokemon Center, her, her mother, Gary, and Professor Oak all waiting all night outside the Emergency Room all night. When the little Eevee was mended, he was carried out into the waiting area where he found the four of them asleep. He was touched by their compassion, and recognized immediately the little girl who had rescued him from his hell. His heart melted when he saw her asleep there, and hasn’t left her side since. She decided to call him Dahlia, and he’s been the poster-Pokemon for her campaign ever since. Dahlia is very compassionate toward other Pokemon, and is always full of energy and adventure, acting as a guardian over Maddie as he guides her along her journey. He would follow her to the ends of the earth if he had to, and trusts her with his life.

Pokemon: Pichu

Nickname: Sparks

Gender: Female

Moveset: Thundershock, Thunder Wave, Nasty Plot, Sweet Kiss

History: Being a baby Pokemon, and one Maddie hasn’t had for very long, Sparks isn’t as dependable as Dahlia, and more often than not will not even follow Maddie’s orders. Maddie hopes to remedy this with more training, and a couple of badges. The bond between Maddie and Sparks isn’t that great yet, but Sparks respects her enough to follow her on her journey, and help her achieve her mission. Sparks is a little ball of energy, always happy and playful, usually being the one to get a smile out of Maddie. She is very needy, always demanding constant care and attention, and loves to be carried around by Maddie as opposed to riding along in her Pokeball. She has a fascination with Pokemon dolls, and in fact stowes her whole collection away in Maddie’s backpack. Her favorite is a soft shiny Cleffa plushie. Sparks was hatched by Maddie’s mother’s Raichu, who was found mysteriously with an egg one day. Once hatched, Sparks was given to Maddie on her fourteenth birthday, but hasn’t since come to mean as much to her as Dahlia. She wears a pink ribbon around her neck.

Pokemon: Charmander

Nickname: Charm

Gender: Male

Moveset: Scratch, Growl, Flamethrower

History: Charmander is still much of a mystery to Maddie. On the night she ran away from home to pursue vengeance, she received Charmander from Professor Oak at his Laboratory. She hadn’t really wanted a third Pokemon at the time, but reluctantly took it at he and Gary’s insistence. They reasoned that a Pichu and an Eevee wouldn’t be enough for a trainer just starting out in these dangerous times, and wanted to give her something a bit more powerful. Maddie has only had Charm for a few hours, and the two seem to get along, but only time will tell if they will ever form a bond as strong as her and Dahlia’s. Charm was sent with a Flamethrower TM, and though it isn’t the most powerful of Fire attacks, it should be of great assistance if the occaision arises.

RP Sample:
A heavy but steady drizzle had settled down upon the region of Kanto, with no signs of stopping. Everyone, people and Pokemon alike, seemed to have taken shelter from the downpour, as it wasn’t common for a rainstorm this heavy and continuous to pour upon the region. Kanto was known to be a very warm and luscious region, and this storm was completely out of character for it.

“I can’t believe we got stuck in the rain.” A young girl grumbled, who at the moment looked more like a drowned rat than a fourteen year-old little girl.

“The first day on our mission, and we’re scrambling around for shelter out in the middle of nowhere! The first storm to hit all year, and we’re stuck right in the middle of it! Just our luck, huh Dahlia?”

The girl paused momentarily, glancing quickly behind her, wincing as she felt the full force of the rain come crashing down upon her thin body. She had been running across this vast meadow toward a thick patch of wood just ahead for about five minutes, running desperately, for once no clever plans in mind, her wish just being to escape the freezing rain. Up until now, her little Eevee had been running faithfully along beside her, but then mysteriously seemed to have vanished. Now stopping completely, the girl, Madelyn Maywah, stood shivering, at one time one of the most famous and powerful people in the region, now reduced to just a weak, cold little girl standing alone in what she thought was the middle of nowhere.

In actuality, Madelyn was closer to home than she realized. The thick woods she stood outside just so happened to be the woods surrounding the tiny town of Pallet, where her family had spent every Summer since she was born. If it weren’t for Maddie’s inability to find her way around, and also never having went on a trainer’s quest like most children, she would have recognized immediately where she was. Maddie hadn’t been rushing toward Pallet town specifically, she had just been running to any scrap of shelter she could find. But the fact that the shelter just so happened to be the woods surrounding Pallet was a little too important in her mission to be coincidence, and in fact, after she went back and thought about it, everything, including the strange storm seemingly thrown from the sky out of nowhere, was a strange interference by some outside force, by what most call destiny.

“Dahlia!” Madelyn screamed, her eyebrow furrowing in worry, as she continued scanning the meadow for her companion.

“Dahlia! Please come here! We’re almost there! The woods are right in front of us!” Still, there was no response. Maddie felt like just falling over on the ground and weeping, but instead squatted down and slung her backpack off of her shoulder, her chest, visable through her soaked white sundress, heaving for air as she struggled to catch her breath.

“Dahlia!” She screamed now, her voice barely heard over the rumble of thunder in the distance. “Dahlia! Please just say something!”

“Veeeeeeeeee!” Maddie almost fainted in relief when Dahlia’s all too-familiar cry reached her ears. It was a comforting sound, and immediately, she opened her arms as a tiny, drenched ball of brown fur sped down the path she had just walked, and jumped happily into her arms.

“Dahlia!” Maddie exclaimed happily, hugging the wet Pokemon tightly against her body as ecstatically he began to lick her face.

“Where were you?! I thought you were right behind me, but when I turned around you were gone!” The tiny Eevee looked sheepishly up at his trainer, shrugging his petite shoulders, and then shaking his wet coat out, making his shaggy brown fur stand up at all ends. It took Maddie a moment to notice, but he was shivering quite violently, ears drooped at his sides as he let out a little cough. He was out of breath too, and appeared completely exhausted with the effort of keeping up.

Oh no. Maddie though, instantly overcome with a guilty sensation. I was so caught up in finding shelter for us, I didn’t think about how tired Dahlia must be, and now he’s getting sick! We’ve been running all night, running to get as far away as possible from my hometown and my father, and haven’t even stopped for a break! Dahlia never went in his Pokeball once..

Tears stung at Maddie’s eyes, and she let them run down her face, sitting motionless as they mixed with the rain, and came dripping down her chin. Anxiously, Dahlia, still shivering violently, began to weakly lap at them, worry apparent at his eyes as he struggled to get the attention of his trainer. Feeling even worse, Maddie picked the tiny Pokemon up, and cuddled him against her body. How could I be so selfish.. She thought again bitterly. I did it again. I became obsessed, and I ignored Dahlia’s needs. I’ll never achieve my mission if I can’t even take care of my best friend. I need him as much as he needs me, and so far, all I’ve done is fail him.

Standing up, Maddie, with Dahlia still in her arms, tossed her matted golden mane away from her face, shifting her face to the ground, focusing on her feet and now walking calmly toward the woods. Dahlia had burrowed against her chest, his eyes sealed shut to protect against the rain as she raised her quivering bare arms over his body to protect him from further cold. Once they finally reached the woods, she sighed in relief, sinking back against a tree as Dahlia jumped from her arms and looked expectantly up at her. His gaze was quizzical and questioning, and seemed to be asking her what were they going to do next? Maddie blinked once, surprised, to be honest unsure of her next course of action. Her first plan after receiving word of her mother’s passing was escape from the mansion before the Police and Security Guards arrived the next day, and she had achieved that, and then the next plan had been to find shelter from the unexpected storm. She had achieved that. But what now?

Maddie slung her backpack down from her back once more and unzipped it, removing the small sealed plastic bag she had managed to snatch and stuff with some berries for her and the Pokemon, and some Pokemon food. Setting out a handful before Dahlia, she smiled as he eagerly began to munch on them. Removing a Pokeball from her backpack, she pressed the button in front, the top of the Pokeball snapping open as a tiny figure emerged in a brilliant flash of white light.

“Piiiiiiii?!” The Pokemon just emerged questioned excitedly, the light vanishing to reveal a Pichu. She stretched out her tiny arms, and stood on tiptoe, her mouth dropping open curiously in a tiny yawn. The baby Pokemon had apparently fallen asleep in her Pokeball, as she wasn’t used to be concealed within it. In fact, less than twenty-four hours ago, Sparks had never even been in a Pokeball in her life. Up until now, she had roamed the Maywah mansion freely along with Dahlia, never needing a Pokeball because she was never made to leave the house. But less than twenty-four hours ago, everything had changed. Maddie knew exactly why she had taken Sparks with her, though the Pichu was obviously more of a pampered pet than a trainer’s starter Pokemon. It obviously hadn’t been for protection. Right now, Maddie doubted that Sparks could even protect herself with her few weak attacks. Though it was more of a hassle than a help to bring Sparks along now, Maddie hadn’t seen any other option, since the
Pokemon had been the last gift her mother had given her. It wouldn’t have been right to leave her behind.

“Pi-CHA!” The Pichu exclaimed ecstatically, finally realizing that she was free. Ecstatically, she began running around, whizzing around trees and darting through bushes so fast that all she appeared to Maddie and Dahlia was a blur of yellow color. Maddie chuckled a bit, the smile breaking out across her face purely accidental and unintended, as mentally she pondered how something so small could have so much energy. She lifted her leg as the Pichu came racing back toward her so the Pokemon wouldn’t meet in a nasty collision, but to no avail as she plowed into an unaware Dahlia. Maddie burst out in giggles as Sparks tumbled into Dahlia and swept him along in her crazy race, and finally, after several moments of her Eevee struggling to get away, plucked Sparks up off the ground and held her up to her face. Her anxiety melted away momentarily as she noted the crazy grin lighting Sparks’ face, and sat the Pokemon gently down into her lap, stroking her back and placing a few berries before her. As Sparks began to eat with great gusto, Maddie sighed, resting her head against the wet bark of the trunk, the cold finally began to seep into her bones now that she was stationary. She began to shiver, but tried not to focus on that, just keeping her mind on the hand that stroked Sparks and the eyes that stared blankly ahead, following each droplet of rain on its descent from the Heavens to the cold, hard ground on which she now sat. The tree was providing the three shelter from the rain, but was unable to keep away the biting cold that followed and seized the tiny shivering girl. Though she was concerned only for Sparks’ and Dahlia’s well-being at the moment, worried that she was over-exerting them and they were getting cold, she was the one in danger, wearing only a Sundress and a pair of sandals, neither of which offered her bare body any protection. Since she had packed in a hurry, and knew for that matter that she couldn’t pack much, hadn’t brought any Jackets or blankets, or even blue jeans. She had stuffed her bag with food, and a couple of bottles for water, and of course Sparks’ collection of Poke plushies which she had refused to leave without. Dahlia had noticed this, and was now watching his trainer and best friend with great concern, for he knew that she hadn’t much money, and what money she did have she would surely spend on the two of them.

As Dahlia watched his trainer, nearly numb with cold, shivering against the wet bark, he knew that he had to do something. Scanning his surroundings, he recognized immediately where he was. How couldn’t he, when he had been discovered at the verge of these very woods by Maddie herself? His former trainer had been a trainer of Pallet, an ignorant one, but a trainer from Pallet nevertheless. Grueling days of training had been spent here, so many that Dahlia knew it like the back of his paw. Dahlia was much like his trainer in mentality, and remembered well the path to Pallet. And he knew that if she followed him, he could get her and Sparks to a safe place, a warm place with help and food and kind people.

“Vee!” Dahlia cried out triumphantly, a devilish glint appearing in his deep chocolate eyes. Locking them upon his poor frail trainer, he turned with a nod of his head, and darted away from her and Sparks, determined to get her to follow.

Maddie had almost managed to drift into sleep, Sparks resting in her lap, when for some reason or another Dahlia had darted off away from them. Jumping up immediately, Maddie clutched at Sparks and her backpack, starting to run after him in a daze, her head pounding from suddenly standing up and taking off.

“Dahlia!” She called out. “Where are you going? Please wait up!” Her head throbbing, Maddie continued to run after her beloved Pokemon, focusing on nothing but the brown blur before her, not even paying attention to where she was going, just hoping not to lose sight of the creature who had become her closest friend.

“Dahlia!” She called out, lunging forward as she grew ever closer to her Eevee, finally getting close enough to where she thought she could reach out and grab him. As she lunged, her foot snagged into the gnarled root of a massive tree trunk, and she was hurled forward into the hard ground, her body twisting around her delicate foot as it refused to untangle from the root. As she slammed against the ground, Sparks flew from her arms, hitting the ground equally as hard as Maddie had, and startled, let loose a powerful Thundershock. The Thundershock wouldn’t have been so bad if not for the rain, and went right through Maddie, narrowly missing Dahlia who was barely able to dodge it. A loud cry of pain escaped the girl’s mouth, and blankly, she stared ahead at Dahlia, who had stopped the chase and was now anxiously peering down at the two of them. As Maddie tried to stand, a piercing pain rushed from her ankle throughout her body, and she screamed, realizing she had sprained it. Electrical shocks still danced across her drenched body, and she winced once, her head falling limply onto the muddy ground, her arm outreached, head grabbing blindly around for Dahlia.

“Vee?” The Eevee questioned worriedly, glancing from Sparks, who seemed to have fainted from the massive output of energy from her, to Maddie, who could barely move as result from her ankle and the powerful electrical shock.

“Vee!” Dahlia decided with a nod, lingering only momentarily near his trainer, and then turning around to scamper away, the quest for help now ever more important on his mind. Guilt and worry began to pile up on the already-fatigued little Pokemon, and he only pushed himself harder knowing that because of him, Maddie and Sparks were both now in pain. Eventually, he arrived at his original destination, thin chest heaving for air, as he dragged himself down the muddy little path to Pallet town, and to the place that stood out sharply in his memory, a place like no other. Soaked to the bone and worn out, Dahlia nearly collapsed as he finally reached the front stoop of a small modest-looking house from which a warm glow was emanating. Huddling against the front door to try to escape the downpour, he raised his tiny paws to the door, beginning to furiously scratch at it, ears drooped at his side as he felt himself beginning to black out. Shaking out of his mind, determined, the little Eevee only began to scratch harder, thinking of Maddie lying on the cold, wet ground, her ankle in a knot all because of him.

Finally, the door swung open, and immediately, Dahlia was hit with a warm, homey smell, the delectable scent of a meal being cooked. Yellow light shining upon his furry little face, Dahlia’s tail began wagging insanely as he first laid eyes on the figure who had answered the door.

“Vee…” Dahlia said thankfully, before wobbling, and falling onto his side just inside the door.

“Dahlia?” The person queried, an element of surprise in his tone. He had warm, Chocolate eyes, and wild, unruly hair that went in every direction. Dahlia smiled, delight flooding him as he was overjoyed to finally see his old friend once again. Tail wagging just the tiniest bit, Dahlia re-focused on his mission: Getting help to Sparks and Maddie.

“Vee! Eevee!” Dahlia cried, jumping up courageously and getting into a battle stance, ready to lead Gary Oak out the door to the spot where his trainer lay fallen.

“Dahlia, you’re hurt…” Gary trailed off, not seeming to notice the air of urgency the Eevee had about him. Dahlia rolled his eyes, shaking it off, as he wasn’t hurt in the least bit. At least, not compared to his comrades in danger.

“Vee!” Dahlia cried out, shaking his head fiercely, as he pointed out the door. Gary peered out into the rain, staring blankly as he stared out into the seemingly empty distance. He raised an eyebrow, crossing his arms.

“I don’t see what you’re getting at.” Gary told him plainly, reaching for the doorknob to pull the front door closed. A breeze had started up, and was now blowing hard in the direction of the house.

Are all humans this clueless? Dahlia thought desperately, looking for some item around the house that he could use to clue Gary in. For a Pokemon champion and researcher, he sure doesn’t read me very well.

“Vee!” Dahlia exclaimed triumphantly, finally spotting exactly what he was looking for. Trotting over to an end table set against the Couch in his living room, Dahlia jumped up on it and quickly snatched a framed picture, leaping back down and bringing it over to Gary. As Gary took the picture from Dahlia, his whole expression changed, from one of confusion, to one of mixed emotion, happiness alighting in his eyes at first, but then pure grief and sorrow, as he cleared his throat, looking back down at Dahlia with shining eyes. The picture was of he and Maddie, both extremely young in appearance, looking doe-eyed and bewildered upon the back of a feathered Dodrio, a banner reading “Kanto region fair” draped behind them, welcoming people into it’s front gates.

How pretty she looked in that little white sundress. He though. With the bonnet on her head. How long has it been since had had last seen that face? No.. It can’t be.. Two years?

“I guess I just got a little caught up with my journey.” Gary admitted sheepishly, turning to open a door as quickly he began rifling through it. He pulled out a flashlight, and flashed it at Dahlia, testing it to make sure it worked.

“Maddie’s here.” He said aloud, more to himself than to Dahlia. He clenched his fist, clutching at the flashlight, a grave look passing over his face.

“And I know why she isn’t here with you now. She would never let you come all the way out here by yourself. She’s hurt, and she needs my help.”

“Umbreon!” Gary called out, and immediately, seemingly out of nowhere, the black Pokemon appeared at his side along with Dahlia.

“Come on, guys. We have to go find Maddie. Dahlia, lead the way! Run as fast as you can! She needs me, and I need to be there.”

I've tried to be realistic by Pokemon standards, though maybe you meant realistic by real world standards. Either way, it's all up to you to either accept or not, hehe.

Name: Alyssa Saterson

Age: Thirteen

Gender: Female

Personality: Alyssa is not afraid to speak her mind. That is, you'd either hate her or love her for her sharp tongue and complete bluntness in every situation she walks into. If she turns up in one she does not find to her likings, she'll pry her way out. She talks like the meanest kid on the block and most of the time means it, giving hardly any sympathy unless the act will cause something good to come her way. She cooperates only when she needs to and will help others if the pay is good, and on some occasions, if she is in the mood.

In a way, besides her obvious quest similar to others to be a Pokemon Master, she has obtained a unique status among people through word of mouth. Not anything good, but among the impact she's given, they say she'll do any job. As long as the pay is reasonable (which to her can reach exceedingly high rates), she will agree to help Skitty down that tree or assinate someone in particular (not that she has been given a job to that calibur (meaning this to be an over exaggeration of what she is capable of)).

She has a positive side to her. It is nothing on the inside, but what lies on the outside. With her, she carries three Pokemon, and each one, with their unique personalities, guide Alyssa in different directions. Surely in the near future, her outlook on life (which she believes is a terrible thing) can change.

Appearance: Recently, Alyssa has dyed her hair to red. She says it is to more easily unnerve her peers in battles and just about anyone else. As for the rest of her attire, she is usually garbed in red vest with a black undershirt, wearing black sweatpants to match and red shoes. Though her hair does match with the rest of her, it is the way it looks that throws her entire appearance off, springing in all different directions. Some would go as to call her frazzled had her expression said otherwise. No; every which way she looked and acted were to appear non-friendly.

History/Biography: Alyssa has never felt unconfident. Since the beginning of her journey to where she lies now, through hardships and all, she has never doubted herself or looked vulnerable. Inside, she prides herself in this, but keeps it so far down that no one can see it. They see her as the neighborhood bully, so she lives up to it.

When she began her journey, she used her Zigzagoon to fight off the wild Pokemon. She caught nothing but one Pokemon, and still mostly trained with Zig. How she obtained Zig as a starter when she started her journey in the Sinnoh region was not luck, but persuasion on the nearest proffessor and distributer of starter Pokemon. She has done a lot of persuasion and deals in her journey to get whatever it is that she wants. The only things she has not done deals to gain were the badges; she believed those must be earned, and those are the times when she acts closer to an actual human being.

She has gained so far, three badges, and only has three Pokemon.

Pokèmon: Zigzagoon

Nickname: Zig

Gender: Male

History: Zig was a Pokemon imported from Hoenn and shipped to Sandgem Town for research under Proffessor Rowan. On the night Zig met his trainer, he was very sleepy. Zig had an attitude equivelent to Alyssa's only when he awakens from a deep slumber, and has had that attitude even before he met his trainer. Likewise, when Proffessor Rowan guiltily handed him over to Alyssa, he felt he was doing the wrong thing after all the beggings for a Hoenn Pokemon research group. Yet, it was all for the betterment of his lab. Alyssa did him a huge favor by treking to Jubilife City where another deal had been made with the Poketch Company for additional research files and Pokedex's. As for Zig, after a breif attitude adjustment as he left the lab with his trainer, he proved to be a nearly exact opposite of Alyssa.

Pokèmon: Sandshrew

Nickname: No nickname

Gender: Male

History: Sandshrew was stolen. Alyssa made the bold move to help (to a certain degree of cash value) capture a convoy of stolen Pokemon led by a group of Team Galactic members. She and the group that hired her had managed to steal the Pokemon, and when they began to distribute them back to their right owners, there was one left. Though Alyssa was paid well, the prospect of having a Sandshrew on her team was far greater than the money. She traded the cash value for the Pokemon, and gained a new companion.

Sandshrew was very much like Alyssa at first, complete with the sour attitude and all. When he saw how Alyssa acted for the first time, he felt he needed to be better than her, and tried to act tougher. All this ended up doing was forming a bond Alyssa could not see clearly, and Sandshrew became a much calmer type.

Pokèmon: Shinx

Nickname: No nickname

Gender: Male

History: Though Alyssa acts like an opposite of a trainer, and would rather not have more than one Pokemon, Shinx was too hard to resist for her. She had a certain liking to the Pokemon even before she began her journey, though this liking has not softened her to the Shinx. She treats the Shinx as she does to Zig and Sandshrew. Shinx himself is closer to Zig and has had some of his go-lucky attitude rub off, but is at the same time a different entity entirely. He has skepticism on a lot of things that come up, most commonly when he battles, while Zig and Sandshrew are more believing in their passing.

RP Sample:

The Zigzagoon had been awakened quietly by the one person he had known so far in existence. The human carried him in his arms, all the while Zig grumbled unhappily. He did not hate this act, but did not like to be disturbed when he was so into a dream. He hated the action, and already was beginning to forget the world he had spun round him.

“Yes,” said a voice. “Alright, I'll take it.”

He turned to the direction of the voice, rubbing one of his eyes clear with his paw to shake the sleep away. He was given to someone else's arms, and at first growled, but was tapped sharply on the nose and backed off.

The one thing that bothered him while he was forced awake in this room was the brightness. He could not get used to it, and it further irritated him. He pawed at whoever it was that held him, and slowly, his eyes adjusted. It was a girl, young at age, but the Zigzagoon could not tell which age exactly. He was not good at guessing the human aging ways.

“Who are you?" he asked. “Why do you hold me?”

Before he could guess at much, the young girl and the man who had been taking care of him shook hands.

“Pleasure doing business with you,” said the girl.

“I have to thank you too, Alyssa,” said the man. “Good luck on your journey.”

Those words. It was quite obvious what was happening, and the moment the Zigzagoon figured it out, the crankiness within him withered and a whole new wave of emotions spread, from anger to excitement to fear.

He is giving me away! he thought. He's sending me off with this girl to go on an adventure...like the ones my brothers used to talk about!

Yes, he remembered quite clearly. Though the man who took care of him was his greatest memory so far, he remembered life before his locked state at wherever and whatever it was he found himself in. He remembered green grass and trees and playing with others around him in fun games. Most of all, he remembered his brothers, and how they talked of great adventures that humans took. They would catch you, and if you were lucky, you could be led somewhere special, where the rewards were grand and a neverending set of battling awaits.

Battling was something he loved; almost all Pokemon enjoyed it. They battled each other a lot in the wild to get the sense of freedom and and a feeling of pure bliss that could be found in no other action. Likewise, there were stories about humans who helped Pokemon achieve battling a wider variety of battles, and it was said to be the greatest experience ever.

Those stories were true; he could now see it as he was led out of the building he had resided in for so long. So it did not matter the fact of who he was going with at the time, about who she was and how she was like. She seemed okay so far, with black straight hair and all. And so, with a smile upon his face, he climbed abord his...what was it that his brother said they were called? Ah yes. Trainers.

That was so long a year before. Now, she was different. Though he may have not changed, he could see that his trainer has. She's gained a new look and all, and even Zig has to agree she looks quite frightening.

Zig. That was the name she had given him. He paid no mind to it (not that he thought it was a bad name) and concentrated mostly on what was at hand, which usually turned out to be battles and deals. He had to admit that his trainer had a very strange personality, but he had gotten used to it. It bothers him not.

Okay, so I just realized that I forgot to put a RP sample in my sign-up. That's pretty crappy of me. I don't have the time to do it right now, but I will try to get something up soon.

Well... You're alive, apparently.

Accepted, so long as the Aerodactyl is a baby and therefore weak. Nice sign-up, by the way.

Yeah, I am trying to be more active and what not. Sorry for such a late response though. My spring break hasn't been much of one since I've been busy with work and college stuff.

The Aerodactyl can definatly be an infant. I was actually planing on that to make it seem more fair.

As for my RP example... I looked everywhere for an up to date one but I couldn't find any. I'm really sorry. Would you like me to just make one up for you?

Thanks :3.

Yeah, I was searching for a decent avatar x3.~

And you got one. Must've been a big day for you.

Dated – March ninth, forty-two minutes past six

(Also, will we be able to learn different moves and replaces the ones we have on our pokémon. And, is there a limit to moves a pokémon can have.)

No, there isn't a limit to the moves you can have, and they can learn new moves by experience or TMs/HMs, the usual stuff.

I've tried to be realistic by Pokemon standards, though maybe you meant realistic by real world standards. Either way, it's all up to you to either accept or not, hehe.

Accepted. Realistic as in, if a Shinx goes against a Geodude, it's gonna lose.

Okay, so I just realized that I forgot to put a RP sample in my sign-up. That's pretty crappy of me. I don't have the time to do it right now, but I will try to get something up soon.

You do that.

=^^= Nya

I've read some of your work, it's fine.

I have made my revision will you look at it. I would like to join this RPG.

I would like the personality to be better.

Alright, I add a RPG sample. It is in a normal writing style, I think it should work. If there is anything I need to change, just let me know.

Seems interesting. If my own RPG picks back up I might not be as active as otherwise, but I'll see if I can manage (if I get accepted, that is).

Name: Ayla Rubison

Age: Thirteen

Gender: Female

Personality: Ayla is quite shy around others. She is anything but outgoing and tends to slink away into darker corners while in public. All her life she has been this way, but it really has nothing to do with her being so reserved as much as it relates to her vivid imagination. While most people are busy with their lives and their realities, she prefers to ponder upon things that really have little importance, such as where Pokemon came from, or what her parents were like. In actuality, she would simply rather remain in her own little world than worry about the problems that everyone else has.

Despite her attitude toward most people, Ayla forms distinctive bonds with Pokemon. Ever since she met her first Pokemon and lifelong friend, she has had a sort of means of communicating with them. Few Pokemon, wild or tame, would see her as athreat or bother, and even fewer would consider as much as resenting her, whether they knew her previously or not. Ayla just has this aura of gentle humbleness that Pokemon can sense more than people. She is simply not a person who anyone or anthing else could find a truly good reason to dislike.

Appearance: Though Ayla is thirteen, she looks much closer to nine or ten. She is very small, both in height and weight, and has not the slightest bit of distinct maturity to be visibly seen, other than perhaps her piercing green eyes.

She rarely wears anything too extravegant or "stylish". It's mainly gray and/or black, perhaps blue jeans, perhaps a T-shirt. The only noticable thing she will wear is a necklace that was apparently passed down from her parents. This necklace has a pure blood-red ruby hanging on it, but is otherwise just a plain, thin, silver chain.

Ayla's skin is rather pale, and her hair is a dark black shade, hanging at about shoulder-length.

History/Biography: Ayla never knew her parents, or anything about them. She grew up with her grandmother, never knowing or getting any answers about them. While the mystery of her parents brought forth several questions (were they alive?; who were they?; etc.), she decided that actually trying to figure out more about them was a hopeless cause, and henceforth resorted to imagining about them and believeing they were alive and simply unable to care for her. The only things her parents left her with were her ruby-necklace and a peculiarly-colored Meowth kitten, now her best friend and true companion.

Her grandmother began having Ayla do work for her ever since she was old enough to do it. Ayla did the shopping, laundry, cooking, and pretty much everything else. As young as five she went about town on errands and the like (despite that she and her grandmother happened to live in the rather poor, run-down side of Goldenrod City), and perhaps it was her innocent "aura" that kept her out of danger. She never complained or had a problem with her many chores, if they could be called that, because she'd never known life any other way. There was no school or education (things her grandmother could not afford); only supporting her caretaker.

Sometime when Ayla was about ten or eleven, she came home to find her grandmother dead of natural causes. While this should have meant that she be taken to an orphanage, as she had been told, she also knew of how children her age went on Pokemon journies, which sounded much more entertaining. So, what for some would have been a tragic family death was for Ayla an exciting new era of her life.

Her adventures in Jhoto had been rather uneventful. Badges were not as interestiong to her as the quest itself, and as long as she had her Pokemon and her freedom, she was fine. That does not mean she has a dislike for battling though, for the strategic sport is seen by her as a great way to excerscise her mind and her Pokemon.

The recent events have come to Ayla's ear from her seat in a Pokemon Center, the place she intends to stay for this night. She is considering traveling to Sinnoh, not to capture Shaymin, but to get the rare opportunity to see a Legendary Pokemon. Perhaps, if she can find a way to get there...

Pokèmon: Meowth

Nickname: Ginger

Gender: Female

History: Ginger was given to Ayla by her grandmother on her fourth birthday. Apparently she had been kept in a Pokeball since Ayla was born, and somehow aging doesn't happen much if at all in a Pokeball, so Ginger emerged as a young kitten. Ever since she has been Ayla's companion, trusting her and few others.

The only peculiar thing about Ginger is her fur color. Rather than the normal pale and featureless fur of most Meowths, she has a dazzling coat of mixed autumny auburn shades, ranging from blonde to a reddish russet color. Otherwise, as far as her abilities and anything else goes, she is completely normal. Her fur color was never explained, though it seems to have some connection with Ayla's parents.

Pokèmon: Murkrow

Nickname: Sky

Gender: Male

History: On an uneventful day, a young Murkrow went flying with his flock over Goldenrod, and landed on a telaphone line for a rest. Somehow, most likely due to the low quality of the area's telaphone cables, he ended up being electricuted, and he fell to the ground. Ayla found him and nursed the wounded bird back to health, naming him Sky. Even after Sky was fit enough to return to his flock, he chose to stay with Ayla, having found a strange liking for her and being grateful that she could have very well saved his life.

Note: As for the movesets, I'd rather not. It just feels more realistic to me that Pokemon would be able to use any move they've ever learned than to suffice with the rule of a video game.

RP Sample:

Ayla's joyful air had left her, and Ginger knew it as soon as they'd entered the house. It was obvious and apparent. Something was wrong. Why was Ayla's grandmother not moving? The question's answer was, quite simple, was hard to grasp fully.

Her friend took a few steps forward, and she kept as close as a shadow. Yes. Their fears had been confirmed by the stillness of the old woman's body. Not even a single breath was drawn. She was dead.

The first emotion was sorrow. While she had never shown as much as a single bit of appreciation or kindness, Ayla's grandmother was a caretaker, to a degree. They had become used to her presense and her existence, and the fact that that would no longer be with them was devestating.

The second emotion was worry. Without her, as Ayla knew, there was no house. Without a house, where would they sleep? Where would they live? There was also no more of the strangely consistent supply of money that had apparently come from her parents. There would be no more trips to the store to buy food.

And then came the thing everyone who loses a caretaker must consider: What now? It seemed almost wrong to be asking such a question, but what choice was there? None. Absolutely...

Well, I've taken my time getting back to this, my apologies. iLike2EatPiez, accepted. K9S8, I'll accept you because I feel like it.

Whatever follows within my sign-up, I didn't really put any effort into it as I just want to get this show on the road.

Name: Yosami Eclipse.

Age: Fourteen.

Gender: Male.

Personality: Yosami is a cocky, headstrong boy who is not scared of most things, or at least claims he isn’t. Most would list him as an immature person, but he does have a caring side that he’ll only let his best friends see. He is extremely competitive and despises people that cheat. He wants all the attention he can get all of the time and often exaggerates his stories to look cool.

History: Yosami was born in Goldenrod City to a middle-class family. He had a reasonable upbringing, and he managed to end up with good results in his exams at the end of it all. He never got into any fights, or, at least, that’s what he has gotten to his mother and father to believe. He managed to accept the fact that his family didn’t have that much money and that he wasn’t always able to get the stuff he wanted, and he was never bitter about it. It was around Yosami’s thirteenth birthday that his father was shot in a bank hold-up. Yosami had been told by his mother that his father was just an innocent civilian that went to the bank at the wrong day. Yosami accepted that, and it wasn’t until five months later that he realised he was never told the whole story, and why he wasn’t allowed to watch the television or listen to the radio anymore, so he decided to go to the one place for information he was able to go to, and went to the library. The boy later found out by searching the internet that his father had been behind the robbery on the bank, after going through the descriptions of the robbers and hearing that one of the fugitives had been shot in the leg. He couldn’t accept this and didn’t want to be part of his family anymore, so he ran away, wanting to go to Viridian City.

Appearance: Yosami has black hair, just reaching the top of his shoulders. He's tanned in colour, as there had always been a lot of sun in Goldernrod City. The boy resembles an Egyptian and stands at about 5'9". His bright blue eyes are like outcasts compared to his dark complexion, and that's normally what people notice about him.

For clothes, Yosami prefers polo shirts and jeans, usually white in colour.

OOSU: Ahaha. Out of sign-up. Anyways, I know that was a horrible description but I don't want to wear away the little patience you people have left.

Pokèmon: Growlithe.
Nickname: Rex.
Gender: Male.
History: Yosami had nearly reached Olivine City. It had been his birthday two days beforehand and he was now fourteen. As he was travelling along the routes from Ecruteak City to Olivine City, he noticed a red dog lying down on the ground. It seemed to be in great pain and distress, as it kept wincing and whining. Yosami cautiously walked over to the Pokèmon his Pokèdex would later confirm to be Growlithe. He had one Pokè ball on his belt, he had purchased it back in Goldenrod when he was leaving, and he decided to take a chance and lob it on the Pokèmon. It rolled twice before stopping and staying still. The boy was quite disappointed with the anti-climatic catch, but he had a Growlithe because of it, and, needless to say, the Pokèmon ended up in a Pokèmon Center.

RP Sample:

As Chimchar landed on the ground, Noah saw his blonde partner glancing in his direction. He didn’t care what she thought about his choice, anything was better than watching his Pichu get beaten up by a Geodude. He grinned a tiny but when he saw Kat’s Shinx licking his paw, obviously bored to death by Noah taking too long to choose his Pokèmon.

"Shinx!" The single word cut through the silence like a knife, snapping Shinx back into action. He stood, his back arched slightly. His hair had begun to stand on end, and he was emitting a soft growl, white teeth bared. Noah found the fact that Shinx was nearly intimidating amusing. The blue-haired boy noticed that Kat’s eyes were just a tiny bit red and prayed that her attachment to Kozue wasn’t going to effect the ball.

"Shinx, use a Thundershock attack!" Shinx's bristled fur began to spark, electricity coursing throughout his body. With a light roar, he sent a bolt towards the Kabutops. The shellfish Pokémon was prepared, however. Bringing a single sickled claw up to its face, Kabutops swatted the Thundershock away as if it had been a fly. That move has startled Noah, he had been thinking of the games he played when he was younger, but this wasn’t about stats, this was about imagination and strategy. Anything could happen in a Pokèmon world that wasn’t virtual. The ancient Pokémon charged Shinx, slashing it with one claw. The lion cub squeaked softly as he flew to the side, his small body skidding along the rock surface. He wasn't out for the count, though. Not just yet. Slowly, he pushed himself back up. He was definitely injured. Kabutops had no intention of letting up on the vicious assault. Once more, it rushed towards Kat's Pokémon. Shinx's attempt to dodge was in vain. As he leapt to the side, Kabutops switched attacking hands and connected with Shinx's body. Getting up took a bit more effort, his body now more damaged. The slash came again the second Shinx stood. This time, Shinx hit the wall, a small whimper escaping his lips. He didn't even try to get up. His small body shook, small tremors rippling across his skin.

"Shinx!" Kat screamed. Noah was too immersed in the action to realise that his Chimchar and Brock’s Geodude were standing opposite each other, waiting for orders. The teenager wanted to see how well Kat managed to control her emotions under peer pressure. He willed her on silently. Her eyes were getting more red and he feared a mental breakdown, but in his short time with Kat, Noah had more or less realised that his partner was stronger than that. Sinx cried his name out, hoping to grab Kat’s attention and bring her back down to earth. The blonde smiled at her Pokèmon and wiped her tears away. The lion cub responded by standing, weakly staring down Kabutops.

"Shinx, use everything you've got! Put all your energy into one supercharged Thundershock!" Once more, electricity coursed throughout his body. This time, though, the lights began to flicker. Shinx released his energy, a maneuver after which he collapsed to the floor. The lightning hit Kabutops straight in its chest, jolting every portion of its torso. It too, collapsed, light smoke trailing off of it. Instantly, Kat leapt off the podium, scooping Shinx up into her arms.

"Thank you...so much..." She smiled at her Pokémon, crying once more. "I'm so sorry...I'll never do anything like that again...I don't want to lose you..." As she buried her face in his fur, Shinx weakly licked her chin. "Y...you're right...I...I have to be strong..." At that, she wiped her tears away, petting the lion cub.

"Noah!" She shouted, looking up at him. "It's all up to you now!"

It’s amazing how you can lose track of something so big because something even bigger was happening in front of your eyes, but that didn’t help Noah feel any better when he realised that his Pokèmon was meant to be battling alongside Shinx, not in some turn-based fight. Noah knew Kat wrongly thought that Chimchar was part fighting, but he wasn’t going to purposely make her lose faith in him. He’d keep up the act as long as he could, so long as Kat had support for him. It’s the little things that help, after all. Noah began to feel heartless, there was Kat, nearly crying during her battle because of the loss of Kozue, and here was Noah, cracking jokes to himself.

“Chimchar!” The red monkey snapped his head in Noah’s direction. What do I do now? Play it crazy like I did against Fenra? May as well, it worked for me that time. “Use Focus Punch!”

As Noah had issued his orders, Brock had done the same thing, unheard by the spectators and the opponent. The rock with eyes and two arms lunged at Noah’s chimp. Ah, a tackle attack. Noah knew full well that Chimchar didn’t know the move Focus Punch, so he decided to try instant improvisation as a technique. “Alright, Chimchar, dodge that attack!” By the time the syllables had left Noah’s mouth in the correct order to form a sentence, Geodude had rammed himself into Chimchar and Noah’s pocket monster was hurled against the ground where he skidded until he came to a halt a couple of metres away from Noah himself. Damn it. Noah cursed silently to himself. “Alright, Espa, we’re still in this!” He shouted at his Pokèmon.

Think, think. What did all those Anime Style Battling competitions on various forums tell you? That impossible was nothing. Cut that out, this isn’t some random Adidas ad. But it was true, impossible was nothing, Noah could still win with the type advantage and strength Geodude had over Espa, he just had to play the few things he could to turn the battle his way. So what did he have to figure out first? He asked himself as he saw his Chimchar stand up. Brock had oviously decided this battle would be a walk in the park and was having a casual pep talk with his fighter. Noah looked around the stadium and the realisation he came to was amazing.

Brock’s gym was like a warehouse, and on the inside of every warehouse you have hangers running up the sides of the building and joining just under the roof. It was true that Chimchar wasn’t a fighting Pokèmon, but a fighting move would still be a critical hit against the Geodude. “Okay, Espa!” The Chimchar was alert and waiting for his master to give him instructions. “Climb up that huge pole on the side of the gym!” There’s no way this is going to work. This is crazy. Chimchar might fall and the battle will be over before it even began. It was obvious Brock and his Geodude had discussed a game plan because the Geodude came flying at the Chimchar with rocks in his hands.

This is going to be interesting. Geodude and his rock throwing commenced as Chimchar raced up the metal banister. “Dodge those rocks, Espa!” Noah screamed. The banister was a rectangle in shape, with one side buried deep into the wall, and the other three facing out. Noah’s Pokèmon didn’t need to be told that if he didn’t want to fall to an early death, he’s have to jump from side to side as well as climb up it. The third rock that Geodude sent flying at the red monkey collided with his hand and Espa shrieked in pain but didn’t let go. “Keep going, Espa!” Noah shouted. How the Hell can a Geodude fly, anyways?

Espa’s nails digged into the metal he was climbing and after five minutes or so of dodging rocks, he reached the top. Noah knew that this was a win-lose situation, either Chimchar would fall off the top to his early death or Geodude would end up face down in the ground. “Now hop onto the railing on the ceiling and walk to the very middle!” The determined blue-haired boy knew it was easier said than done but he had complete faith in his Chimchar. The monkey ran across the metal, obviously scared out of his wits as the Geodude continued throwing rocks at him.

“Now, Espa, jump on Brock’s Pokèmon!” This is crazy, there’s no way this is going to succeed. You’ve let Kat down, you’ve let the team down. Noah clenched his fists as he watched his Chimchar dangle from the railing, about seventy feet from the ground, before jumping onto the human rock. Surely the weight of the two Pokèmon combined is going to be too heavy for Geodude’s levitation trick. Surely. It became quite apparent that Chimchar was too much of a load for Geodude and they began falling through the air, not as fast as normal, as Geodude was still trying to stay in the air and get Espa off him at the same time, but fast enough for Chimchar to be knocked out if he hit the ground.

As the two Pokèmon neared the rubble on the ground, about twenty feet up, Noah screamed, “Now, Espa, punch Geodude downwards and push off him as you do so.” Noah knew nothing about physics, but he prayed his calculations were right this time. The monkey hit the rock between the eyes and jumped off him. Geodude his the ground first, dust filled the air around him and it was impossible to tell what was going on. Noah heard his partner cry his name, but he couldn’t see what had happened seeing as the dust was in the way. It took a few seconds for the dust to clear away, but when it did, Noah didn’t know what to think. Chimchar was standing upright, looking a bit tipsy, but other than that, fine. Brock’s Geodude, on the other hand, was lying face down in rubble.

“And victory goes to the visitors!” An official shouted out from the sidelines.

“You did good, Espa, we’ll get you to a Pokèmon Center right away.” Noah returned his Pokèmon to his red and white sphere and turned to his blonde partner. “We did it.”

OOC: I've been ordered to start this. So yeah. Here I go. lol

IC:

Location: Pokemon Center Lobby

"In later news, the chief of the Sinnoh Police Force had this to say:

"Shaymins current location is currently unknown. But that hasn't stopped these people from attempting to capture it. We here at the police force will do all that we can to find and protect this legendary before these people locate it."

"We here at Sinnoh News will keep you updated on the situation at hand. Let us just hope that we can get to Shaymin first. In other news..."

The news program left the Shaymin story, leaving Coin and me baffled as we sat alone on a green sofa. We couldn't even fathom the reasoning behind the actions these people were taking. Capture the legendary Shaymin?! Nonsense! It just couldn't be done! At least we thought that.

I turned my attention to Coin who had his arms folded as he shook his head back and forth. He was probably thinking that these people were a disgrace as well as pathetic morons who believed in the down right impossible. He glanced at me with his green eyes which were almost completely hidden by his black triangular sunglasses. It was then that I knew what he was thinking.

"You're crazy," I expressed, getting up to stretch. Coin just looked at me again without speaking a solitary word. His stabbing glare hitting me harder each time I risked eye contact with him. "I just don't think we should go on this wild Shaymin hunt! For god's sake it's a god damn legendary Pokemon! The odds of even finding a hint as to where it may be is remote! A one in one million chance!" I proclaimed with arms raised.

Coin just looked at me though. He knew what I was saying was 100% true, but that didn't stop him from striking me down harder and harder with his 'death glare'. He even added in a huff as his ear twitched and paws tapped.

"Fine!" I said while turning toward the muted T.V. "We'll help them! Happy?" I asked, looked back to him. He had this smug little smile on his face, as if saying 'I knew you'd come to my side. It was only a matter of time before you fell to my glare.'

Honestly, I wasn't sure at all what to do with him. Though a Meowth he may be, he was more persuasive then my old teacher back at Pokemon tech, Mr. Cambell. He could get a Caterpie to evolve before the required level just by telling it to over and over and over again!

"We'll leave tomorrow. For now lets just rest."

"Nya."

The tension was high. Sweat dripped slightly from Alyssa's forehead. She really did not know what she was doing, but it was either steer the lost boat until something came up or get lost at sea.

The captain was off near the coast of Sinnoh. It had all been a set-up; he had wanted to capture Alyssa's Pokèmon and then leave her stranded somewhere near the shoreline. It seemed to be the perfect plan, only Alyssa was not so dumb enough to fall for it. Sure she may have fell for it for awhile, but knew what was happening way earlier than expected and managed to turn things in her favor. For starters:

There were only three crew members to lead her onto the boat.

Two left before they were off at sea leaving only the captain and Alyssa together.

The captain only weighed a light 125 pounds. Zig easily head-butted him overboard.

What really got to Alyssa was how they thought they could steal her Pokèmon. They really had absolutely no plan whatsoever, leaving what they had done to be pointless and left to lady luck. Alyssa figured they would have had some sort of plan of action set in motion; like as if helecoptors would come from nowhere and begin dropping bad guys left and right.

Yeah right.

No such luck. So what does she do? Well, that is why she has trusty Zig to help navigate the oceans. Afterall, she knew nothing about boating and only came on this boat for a considerable sum of 12,000 Pokèdollars to help catch something rare to Sinnoh shores. She kept going over this through her head and putting herself down for actually believing someone would think she could do something like that so early in her trip. Then again, there was already a rumor about her. It was only a matter of time before something like this, idiots thinking she was almighty and powerful, decided to try and rob her of her possesions.

Zig stood by her side atop a sort of dashboard fashioned table. The first thing he had noticed was there not being any land anywhere. It was obvious that this was a predicament, so the furious search for anything came soon after.

But nothing lay upon the horizon. It was an endless ocean filled with endless water Pokèmon, and as it seemed, they may be riding those sees for an endless amount of time.

“I can't see anything!” Alyssa shouted, clearly angered.

Strange. Zig would figure that Alyssa would be like most humans, and be more scared than proactive. But no, that was not the case. Alyssa was anything but a normal human in the way her mind worked. Her head was always clear of emotions and she thought and acted on only what was the obvious.

Zig turned out to the sea only wanting to agree, but then his sharp eyesight caught something off in the distance.

“I see land!” he cried aloud. He pointed with his paw in hopes to obtain his trainer's attention. It was not surprising that she was able to understand quickly at what he meant when he spoke aloud.

“I see nothing,” she said sharply, but still put the boat in gear straight forward (or at least tried to). In any case, it worked, and the boat took a fast plummet ahead. “Alright!” she shouted maniacally, “Now we're getting something done!”

The land was in view and it seemed that the two would safely make it unharmed. But no, again it was not the case. Something had to happen right in front of the boat.

Two Gyarados had been in a brawl underneath the waters and had gone by completely undetected until they decided to take it to the surface. They happened to appear like puppets pulled high strung to the sky. All that goes up must come down though, and down they came on the boat. It was down and submerged underwater quicker that a single Pokèmon trainer's shouted command.

This would have been the end of her life's journey, never being able to finish any of it's accomplishments. But like his trainer, Zig was persistant to an extent, and was not going to allow this to be the end.

Water was everywhere. His trainer was not light in the least bit, but land was just up ahead. Zig would only have to tire for a little bit before he could rest, and even then, he had certainly been through worse problems on the wild rides he and Alyssa took.

Unfortunately determination did not overweigh pure logic, and though Zig would have rather made it to the shore first, he lost conscious out in the open sea while trying to drag his trainer.

It was all a trick of the mind though; he had never been pulling his trainer along because he was far too weak of a Pokèmon to do such a thing. What really got them both safely to the shoreline were the tides.

--

“...and that's how I ended up here in Slateport with my injured Pokèmon,” Alyssa finished. All the while, Nurse joy had the most disbelieving expression ever in existance. Nevertheless, it was her job to heal Pokèmon, not ask questions.

As Alyssa made her way back to the waiting room, she smiled one of her rare smiles. So maybe she did overexaggerate by much, and maybe the captain that drove her to Slateport on accidental misconception was currently at the markets of this low slum city, and maybe the real reason Zig was currently injured was because of a loss with a water Pokèmon battle held between her and the captain, but hey, she liked to extend the truth a little.

As Madelyn groped blindly around in the muck for Sparks, who had been flung out of her arms when she tripped over the root, her ears attuned to footsteps sloshing down the muddy Forest path Dahlia had disappeared down. Immediately tensing up, Maddie realized that they weren't Pokemon footsteps, they were Human footsteps. Almost every person in Kanto knew the famous face of the President's daughter, so she instantly panicked, fretting that whoever they were, they would see her and turn her in.

Perfect. She thought bitterly. Only starting my first day on the mission, and already someone's busted me. It's not like I can just fight them off, either. With a fainted Pichu, a sprained ankle, and a runaway Eevee, i'll have to resort to bluffing.

Sighing, and pulling herself up, Maddie turned her face upward, squinting her eyes in the rain at the silhouette who stood silently before her. Surprised that the figure wasn't attempting to come any closer to her and try and figure out who she was, Maddie then tried to determine if the figure was Male or Female.

Definitely Male. She decided, noting the person's strong, but lean body, toned with muscle specifically on his arms and legs. He was thin, but not scrawny, just an average-looking guy.

At least I think it's a guy. Maddie was starting to second-guess herself. Either that, or it's one really built chic.

As Maddie pondered over this, the figure finally stepped closer to her, just enough for her to get a good look at him, and when she did, her heart stopped beating in her chest and all breath escaped her body. She felt like she was going to pass out from the shock, but then realized she shouldn't be too surprised, since Pallet was his hometown after all.

"Long time, no see, Maddie" Gary Oak's face broke out in a broad grin, his kind Chocolate eyes staring thoughtfully down at her, as if he could hardly believe seeing her there himself. Upon seeing her old Childhood friend, Maddie immediately cheered up, her face lighting up as a tiny smile stretched across her lips at the same time.

"Gary.." She whispered hoarsely, unable to stop smiling as she just barely managed to croak out his name. Inside, she was wild with excitement at the sight of him, since the last time they had spoken had been about two years ago, when he was fourteen, and she was only twelve. She had been so busy with campaigns and speeches and public appearances, she hadn't realized how sorely her heart had ached for her old friend until now.

"Need some help?" He asked, not really sure of what else to say to her. It was obvious she needed help, by looks of her twisted ankle and the fainted Pichu spraweled out in front of her. At this simple question, Maddie felt a great load lift from her shoulders, as her eyes slowly began to overflow with tears, and soon they came flowing down her pale, delicate face. She hoped desperately that he didn't notice, since the raining hadn't yet ceased, and at first, he pretended not to, but on the inside, his heart was breaking at seeing her trapped in so much obvious pain. She had been sharing in her grief only with Sparks and Dahlia, and the combination of her mother's death alongside the excruciating, stressful beginning of her journey had been too much for her to handle, but Maddie had always been good at bottling her emotions. As she thought once again of her mother's face, Maddie broke down, loud sobs erupting from her thin chest as she cupped her tiny hands around her face, crying openly before Gary, not even seeming to notice his existence as she lamented over the unfairness of it all.

Mom.. Maddie though bleakly, the pain in her heart slicing open like a fresh wound. Her heart ached for her poor mother, whose Funeral she wouldn't be able to attend.

As Maddie began to sob uncontrollably, Gary rushed over to her, the awkwardness instantly forgotten as tears filled his own eyes, and on instinct, he wrapped his arms around her delicate form, holding her against him, pressing her face against his chest as he simply bowed his head, allowing her to cry in it. He had loved April Maywah too, though his love for her didn't even come close to comparing to Maddie's, obviously. He had loved her as a person, and respected all the causes she fought for. He knew that she would've wanted her only offspring to be happy, regardless of what happened to her, so Gary did exactly what he knew April would've done in a situation like this one. He held Maddie, and rubbed her back, whispering soothingly to her as she only continued to cry.

It's been so long. He thought, and immediately, he was overcome withe remorse, and regret. He regretted not being there for her for the last two years, on missing out on a part of her life he would never have the chance to experience again. They had been best friends, and he had left her six years ago.

I promise, i'll make up for all of that now. He thought, determined, as he only held her tighter.
Finally, she looked up at him, her pale eyes staring bleakly into his own, and he just hugged her even tighter, his head bending down to rest on the top of hers.

"It's been so long" She whispered, the words on her lips repeating what had just went through Gary's mind. Surprised, he felt a blush creeping to his cheeks, as briefly, he wondered if she could read his mind. She was finally beginning to regain composure, and searching his face, her hair plastered back against her forehead, she looked so weak, so vulnerable right now. Gary helped her to her feet, and draped the blanket had had brought for her around her thin shoulders. At that moment, Dahlia came loping up to the spot, having fallen behind due to his extreme fatigue, looking relieved to have made it back to his trainer's side. Gary's Umbreon followed watchfully behind him.

"Vee!" Dahlia squealed happily, ecstatic to see Maddie and her old friend back together again. A smile burst across his furry brown face, and he leapt into Maddie's arms, rapidly beginning to lick her all over her face.A grin breaking out across her face, Maddie couldn't help but smile at the little Pokemon who was so obviously delighted to just be in her arms again. She ran a pale hand across his back for a moment, and then knelt to the ground to run the other one over the Umbreon's sleek, black fur. The Umbreon's eyes closed, and raising his elegant black tail, he rubbed his body up against Maddie's bare legs.

"Last time I saw you, you were just a little Eevee." She laughed. "You and Dahlia used to get into so much trouble together. Especially when you acted like each other right before I was about to go home, and you made me think that you were Dahlia, and Dahlia was you. Then I would bring you home with me, and when I finally realized you weren't Dahlia, it was too late. I would have to go all the way back to Pallet to get Dahlia, and that was how you tricked us into letting you spend more time together."

Maddie grinned, her hand still running fondly down the Umbreon's narrow back.

"You can't do that to us anymore, now can you?" She smiled, wiping at her nose, which had begun to run, her eyes straying to finally focus on Sparks, who was laying motionless in the mud. She wanted to kick herself for forgetting about the poor little Pichu. Immediately, Maddie snatched her up, holding her under her other arm as instantly, she began scanning the area around them.

"We have to get Sparks to a Pokemon Center! " She told Gary urgently, her body tense with worry as he nodded quickly in agreement.

"Of course." He agreed. "That comes first. Umbreon, lead the way!"

"Bre!" The Umbreon nodded fiercely in comprehension, arching his back and leaping forward in one graceful, fluent movement. Maddie and Gary followed closely behind.

Rose darted through the rain, the large droplets being carried roughly by the wind and soaking her from head to toe. Muffin, her Plusle, clung to her shoulder, being battered by the strong gale; she had tried to coax her into his pokeball, but her determined companion refused. Now, reluctantly letting Muffin stay put, she ran as quickly as she could to the nearest Poke Center.

A sigh of relief emanated from her parted lips as the dim lights of the Center came into view. She quickened her pace, practically jumping through the doors as they parted. The warmth held in the confines of the Poke Center immediately hit her, beginning to work its magic on her frozen body.

Water dripped from her, making puddles on the tiled floor as she walked tiredly to one of the booths outlining the windows. Muffin jumped from her shoulder, vigorously shaking her fur over the tabletop, afterwards attending to herself with a groom.

Slipping her backpack from her shoulders, Rose rummaged through its contents, finally pulling out a container of Pokepellets and a plastic dish. Muffin perked her ears at the sound of the dish hitting the table, squealing as her owner poured the brown pellets into it. Delighted, the Plusle ravenously dug in.

Rose leaned back into the cushioned back of the booth, thankful when a Chansey happily tottered over with some towels and Nurse Joy with a mug of hot cocoa and a cup of Pokecider for Muffin.

Wrapping a towel around her shoulders, she sipped at the cocoa, not fretting when the liquid burnt her tongue. Instead she procured two pokeballs from her bag and trotted over to the front counter and handed them to Nurse Joy for a quick heal. After the damaged was mended she ordered a meal from the Centers cafe and until it was ready she closed her eyes and relaxed.

She had recently traveled to Sootopolis City in Hoenn to challenge the gym leader, Wallace, to a battle. Sadly, she was beaten in a flash. She had underestimated the the gym leader and knew she had a good deal of training before she would have enough guts to another challenge; she frowned as she watched memories of the wretched battle replay themselves in her wary mind.

Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted, her eyes fluttering open as she rolled her head to the side. Peering up at the television fastened to a concrete pillar in the middle of the Center, a news anchor was talking animatedly. Usually she wasn't interested in the news, but one word caught her attention.

"Shaymin..."

OOC: Ah! The RPG lives! I started thinking it was dead! Well, I'll get to posting.

IC:

The Olivine Pokemon Center was dark by now. Ayla still sat up on the small bed that served her for just this one night, unable to bring herself into a peaceful sleep, unlike Ginger, who purred in perfect comfort by her side. The tiny cat Pokemon was curled into a tight ball, fast asleep and probably dreaming of forests, mice, balls of yarn, or other things of the sort. Oh, how pleasant it would be to live like a Meowth, with such a mindset that comfort and relaxation came before all else? But of course, Ayla had been entranced by the night's news report, and now all she could think about was Shaymin.

Shaymin... A legendary Pokemon. An embodiment of nature, so rare that only one could be found on the planet. While Ayla was usually a very calm person, this excited her. To see such a being... To have an actual encounter with it, even for merely a second or two... The thought was too much to simply push aside. While she was no greedy enough to try and capture such a magnificent Pokemon, she was more than eager to try to see it. Besides, what better did she have to do?

Good thing Olivine is a port town, she thought with rising hopes, If we could catch a ship to Sinnoh, there might be a chance...

Then again, could Ayla really afford a trip to another region? Since she rarely battled, she hardly ever had enough money to feed herself and her Pokemon. But that didn't mean she couldn't find a way onto whatever ship she found though...

OOC: I hope this is enough. I'm kind of in a rush to get finished with the computer here...

"Alright , now use bubblebeam together with wing attack." Tyson shouted as Piplup followed his orders without problem. The bubbles filled the air and then Piplup jumped and as her wings turned white she began to smash the bubbles. The bubbles popped and started to make little sprinkles around Piplup. "Pip" said the Piplup now shining from the sprinkles hitting her in just the right light. Tyson praised her and then turned to Cacnea. Cacnea was ready to perform his moves, but soon Tyson changed ideas. "I think it would be better if you were my battle stage pokemon." Cacnea fell to the ground in depression, because he wanted to show off, then he got back on his feet and agreed. As Tyson continued their training a trainer smashed into him. Instead of apologizing the trainer continued in a rush and pushed Tyson out of the way. Soon more trainers stampeded over him. Tyson finally got up and got some answers. The young girl he stopped explained that trainers had gone to Sinnoh in hopes of catching a legendary pokemon. The girl rushed off and Tyson continued to look confused. He didn't really think that legendary pokemon belonged in contest. So he informed his team that they wouldn't be going on that stupid chase. As Tyson said that another stampede of trainers ran over him and soon they were dragging him to the boat to Sinnoh. Piplup and Cacnea looked at their trainer and followed him even though he wasn't awake.

OoC: K9S8, your posts need improving, like, now.

IC:

Yosami glanced at his Rolex. It was roughly twenty to seven, which meant that he should’ve been home about forty minutes beforehand. Not that he cared. It wasn’t like his guardian was going to care about a curfew that he made to pretend there was some sort of discipline within the household. Yosami liked George Cantwell, who was practically his entire family since he ran away from Goldenrod and managed to reach Viridian. At first Yosami had no clue as to how he was going to acquire food or shelter and it soon became apparent to the young boy that living on the streets was nowhere near the same as it is on television, which the young boy found out was very misleading in real life situations. Lucky for the Egyptian child, he happened to be sleeping one night in a Pokèmon Center that Mister Cantwell had to have his Pokèmon healed in. Yosami can still recall the man asking him if he was a trainer competing for a Gym Badge in Viridian Gym and the boy replying that he wasn’t lucky enough to be privileged with that sort of lifestyle. Yosami was never sure, but he assumed that the nurse behind the counter explained to Cantwell that he had been sleeping in the Pokèmon Center for the past few days and was probably homeless. The man made an impulsive decision to give the boy a home that night.

Yosami sighed and nodded his head towards his Growlithe. The red dog had been sitting obediently on the ground knowing a bone while he waited for his trainer to figure out what he was going to do. The boy was about to call his Pokèmon and get him to return to his Pokè Ball when a sudden news report drew his attention away from the canine. Yosami disliked the Pokèmon Center’s television, it was too small and old fashioned, but it was better than his guardian’s house, which didn’t have one, as he claimed it rotted brains of both the young and the old.

“Hello, this is Katherine Bynes reporting live from Sinnoh, where the Legendary Pokèmon, Shaymin, has supposedly been found.” Yosami preferred to watch Sky News over any other news channel, but he supposed that CNN was going to have to do. “If this is true, it opens up a whole new range of possibilities in regards to humans and their belief in Legendary Pokèmon. Apparently, someone was walking through a meadow and tripped over what she originally thought was a piece of rock or a Geodude. It wasn’t until she got back up to her feet did she see the Pokèmon resembling a hedgehog. When she realised that it might be an undiscovered Pokèmon, or, better yet, Shaymin, she tried to catch it. The Shaymin used Solar Beam and the land was destroyed. The person, now identified as Peggy Smith, whipped out her mobile phone and called a friend of hers, who then alerted the nearest police station. At first they thought it was someone ridiculing them but they decided to believe the caller after they recognised the distress in his voice.” Katherine stopped and pointed at a piece of land which resembled a crater that is normally made by a meteor. “When the police arrived on the scene, Miss Smith was knocked out and at the bottom of the crater, which must have been made by Shaymin’s Solar Beam attack. They proceeded to call up the elite four and various Pokèmon professors, to ask how the situation should be treated and whether or not they should attempt capturing the Legendary Pokèmon.” The reporter stopped, smiled at the camera and said, “That’s all from me, expect CNN to return to this soon, for now though, back to the studio.”

The camera blanked out. Yosami sat in silence as the words sunk into him. He couldn’t answer a question that had been nagging him all the time during the news report; how come there was no video footage of Shaymin?

The next two stories were also interesting; The President of Kanto, April Maywah, had been shot dead and one of the most famous Pokèmon professors on the planet, Professor Elm, had been reported missing. Yosami had always been a great fan of conspiracy theories and was pretty certain that the three stories were connected in some way. His eyes darted from the television screen to his Growlithe and then he closed his eyelids over them. “I’ve managed to travel from Goldenrod City to Viridian City without that much trouble. I doubt travelling to Sinnoh would be that hard either.” He thought for a few minutes. “Surely all of the stories are connected, surely the murders and the disappearances are because of the group that can supposedly capture any legendary it wants, which adds up to Shaymin. Why am I the only one that can see this?” He stopped and shook his head. “Or am I just deluded?”

The strip of slateport bored her. Zig could see it on her face that she was ever so slowly getting annoyed. She was probably thinking why she still had to be here after so long. Where is the captain? wondered Zig. His question was answered in the next minute, for Alyssa was suddenly alerted of a faraway distant sea boat growing even smaller.

“Hey!” she shouted, and immediately ran from her point. Zig followed at her pace, disappointed he could not get much of the sights. All of this city they were in had a familiar presence to him. It was a lovely one, and he did not want to let it go.

Alyssa found herself on the pier and cursing at the captain so far away. “You suck!” she finished off, and stormed the other way. Zig jumped up to the rails and looked over the distance. He could also see the figure she cursed at. There was nothing he could do though. No human ever really listened to a Pokèmon. All of this he learned from Alyssa.

He turned the other way and walked on the hard wood rails. His trainer sat on a bench a few feet away grumbling to herself. Zig jumped off the rail and stood right beside her and immediately scratched an itch behind his ear.

“Ah, who needs him,” Alyssa grumbled away. “If he thinks he can dump me in a place like this and make me cry, he's got another thing coming. I swear, I will get him back one day!”

And Zig nodded away. Eventually, she allowed him to rest on her lap. The night grew even darker. There was a certain buzz in the air, but both trainer and Pokèmon ignored it. Until somewhere off, she heard something. Something that sounded particulary special and cool. She turned to her left. There was a branch off of the pier leading up to a boat where a man rested. He watched a small TV connected as an accessory to the Driver's seat. The boat itself couldn't be any more than the average family boating vacation type. But what Alyssa heard was something that intrigued her. “Did I just hear the word 'Shaymin?'” she wondered aloud.

Zig knew what this meant. He jumped to the ground. His trainer walked quietly over to the boat. The man noticed her. “Evening sir,” she said with no real tone to it at all. “What's going on right there?”

She had obviously caught the man off guard. He cleared his throat. “Well, it seems that something has been discovered in the Sinnoh region.”

“Mind if I watch for a little bit?”

“Not at all,” he shrugged.

She climbed over the small boat's rails and sat across the man, still having a good view of the television. It was Katherine Bynes reported on a strange event in Sinnoh. Strange enough to get Alyssa pumped up and ready to take it on. As the report concluded, she didn't care what would be up next. It was a big event, and she completely blew it when she decided to take a wrong boat to Hoenn! How was I supposed to know the captain's boat could travel great distances? she wondered. She hated being stuck in Hoenn now.

“Excuse me,” she said. She left without a word, Zig following behind. “I'll find a way to get back there now. I promise.”

And Zig followed.

Name: Marc Black

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Personality: Marc is a a person with a great overall personality. Calm, relaxed and respectful when he is in a peaceful place, Fiery and brave when in danger and always optimistic and cheerful. He is somewhat quiet and shy around people he doesn't, again, always treating everyone with respect, and he may be afraid to start a conversation. Once he has gotten confident with the people that surround, he will always be extremely kind and courteous. He is very loyal and acknowledges friendship as one of the most important aspects of life. He isn't afraid of anything, or at least anything he knows about. Even as shy as he can be, he will always be up for greeting or helping anyone in need, and will risk his life with no second thought for a cause. Perhaps his worst feature is that he may be too competitive, and even though you need to push it really far to make him angry, you don't wanna see him go there. He is a very cheerful person anyone can go to when it needs advice or is sad, as he almost never is. He gets a jolly out of helping people and the only bad moments for him are when his family or friends get hurt.

Appearance: Marc is quite tall. He stands at 5'9, nearly 6'0. His body is nicely shaped, a trait inherited by his father and something he has won by playing Basketball and Swimming all of his life. He weighs around 135 pounds. The rest of his body isn't a shaped as his arms, yet when his muscles are contracted the change is very noticeable. He is also very strong and can lift heavy objects. His hair is very short and brown, and is almost naturally spiked up, though it may sometimes look like it is curled. His eyes a hazel-like color and are relatively small, and he can't open them too much while in the sun, though he isn't very bond of sunglasses. His eyes are slightly pointed and are at a normal size, his lips are small, and his nose has a very nice shape. His skin is white and has a slight tan. His most distinctive feature, though, is that his cheeks are always red or actually pink. This is due to him having a medical condition known as Rosacea, something he has lived with all of his life and inherited by his paternal family, the side he looks most like. In fact, him and his father look like the same person, save the age difference. It is only a very slight case though. He doesn't wear any clothes that draw attention towards him and will probably always be around with Polos or T Shirts, Jeans and sneakers.

History/Biography: Marc was born in Hearthome city in Sinnoh to an average middle class family. He proved to be a very smart child, learning how to read and swim at nearly age 3. His parents cared about him and loved him. They punished him and rewarded him when deserved. His father was a very good Pokemon trainer, and as Marc grew up he always took him on explorations with him. It was in this explorations and excursions where he learned to value the nature and work with it, allowing him to learn survival skills like tent building and stuff like that at a very quick pace. Marc showed to be prodigious on many instruments as he grew up, too, and could play basketball with people older than him, as well as being able to make many friends by winning them over with his personality. He has been on all of the four Regions, except Johto, on visits with his dad. His mother also traveled with them, but she preferred to stay at their home in Hearthome. He has family on nearly all regions, and knows probably no more than half of all of them. When he was old enough, he decided to go on an adventure with Pokemon, the creatures he developed an extremely strong bond since an early age. He parted off from Hearthome with only 2 partners as companion, waving bye to his parents and friends, in a dream to make new friends, meet new Pokemon and see new places. He has, since he parted, been worried about the problems in all nations, and is afraid that Hoenn will declare the war on Sinnoh. He tries to ignore the thought as he travels through the map. He knows the most circulated areas and landmarks of Sinnoh like the palm of his hand.

Pokèmon: A Machop

Nickname: Bruce

Gender: Male

History: One day while on an exploration trip on a cave with his dad, Marc stepped on a loose rock and fell through some floors until he hit the ground (And has a small scar on his arm to prove it. Luckily he was carrying protection). His father didn't know what to do, and noticed his ropes to climb down had been broke, so he ran away to get help, leaving Marc alone. As he was about to faint, a Machop approached and picked him up as if he was a feather. The Machop looked and, then at Marc, then back up and with only one very strong arm started to climb the wall up to the cave entrance (Machop used Rock Climb!) When he was out, his father had just arrived with medical help and people to help Marc. His father was surprised to see a Wild Machop help the kid, and when he was about to capture it, the Machop ran into the cave. In the following months, Marc always visited the Machop, and built a connection with it. He could Easily identify the Machop because the ridges on his head were strangely cut, looking like they had animal scratches and bites all over, though he hadn't received any. One day the Machop agreed to join Marc, and as quickly as he captured it he allowed the Machop to be outside of his PokeBall anytime. The Machop quickly built a connection with his family and friends and has always been there with Marc. Strangely, he hasn't evolved, despite the fact he has been with Marc a few years.

Pokèmon: Eevee

Nickname: Twilight

Gender: Male

History: While on a visit to Solaceon Town, he saw there was the Pokemon Daycare. He thought it'd be a nice Idea to check out, so he approached. Before he could enter the door, he heard two people screaming at each other. It was an old man and a male trainer, probably in his 20's arguing. "I left Eevee and Arbok here for some weeks and now you tell me I need to take care of 53 eggs?!" the Trainer yelled. "What am I supposed to do with so many eggs!?" he continued to yell as the old man stared at him fearfully. "Please, understand, we can't take care of 53 eggs. It was your Pokemon that had them after all! Either you take them or we won't give you your Pokemon back!". The old man seemed patient, and for him to reply that way must mean the trainer got into his nerves. "Fine!" the angry trainer yelled as the Old man walked inside the DayCare and walked out with 3 eggs. "Another 50 coming.." the Old Man Murmured as he went back in. The Trainer stared blankly at the eggs, then noticed Marc was there. "Hey, You!" he said as he walked towards Marc. "Do you want one of these? Or two? Or Three? or Fifty Three?" the trainer asked. "Ahm.. Sure.. Uh.. I'll take one happily" Marc said as Bruce took the egg and examined it carefully, as if it was the first time he saw one. The rest is history. He keeps his Eevee on a Pokeball most of the time and hopes to have an Espeon one day, a Pokemon he always wanted. It is named Twilight because it was hatched at that hour of the day.

“Rain rain go away. Why do you come in the middle of May?” The wrinkles forming creased lines across the old Professor’s face seemed increasingly deeper, and more serious today than usual, the familiar twinkle that always playfully danced across his wise, Chocolate eyes also seeming to have vanished. The carefree twinkle had been replaced with another emotion, despair, which had been there since the phone call had been made several hours ago, in the middle of the night, waking him from his deep slumber, and forcing so much stress and worry onto his aged mind, that he hadn’t been able to lull himself back into his sleep. He had known right away , on the first shrill ring that jolted him awake, that something horrible had just taken place, some nasty bit of bad news was awaiting him, for no one ever called to deliver good news in the middle of the night. Good news wasn’t significant enough to be told right at the moment of happening, only the worst of the worst news demanded that type of attention and urgency, so it could keep the person receiving it awake all night pondering why the world was the way that it was, and why such terrible things had to happen to the best people. Strangely, the first person Professor Oak had thought of when he sat in bed awake was Ash Ketchum, the young boy he had sent out on an adventure years ago, but then again, he should have known better. Ash was one of those people who preferred to get his sleep at night, and get everything straightened out in the morning.

Too bad everyone can’t be that carefree about things. Professor Oak grumbled, though he knew that the news delivered by Thomas Maywah, husband of Kanto’s president, April Maywah, and also his close family friend was vital. The first set of news, the worst, had come as a shock to Professor Oak, and after shock, nothing but pure despair. April Maywah had been killed, a brave courageous soul who had fought valiantly against the drug crimes plaguing their once beautiful nation.

The Professor sighed, lowering his head glumly upon the cherry mahogany of his quaint dining table, the sound of the falling rain outside sounding to his ears more menacing than soothing. The wind blowing harshly against the back of his house did nothing much to help the pathetic weather. The only sound even remotely soothing was the crooning of one of Professor Oak’s favorite Pokemon, his Spearow, who slept tucked beneath a pink wing perched on the back of a chair sitting directly across the Professor.

The second bout of bad news hadn’t been any better. Madelyn, the only child of Thomas and April, had vanished shortly after receiving word of her mother’s death with Dahlia and Sparks, two young Pokemon who were about as amateur and inexperienced as Maddie herself. While it was true that they both knew at least a few attacks, the Professor fretted that if Maddie was targeted by serious dangers planning to obliterate her, her poor little pampered pets would most likely die trying to protect her.

Then Maddie would be killed.

The worst part about this whole ordeal was that there wasn’t a thing Thomas could do about it. Maddie had left a note, he had told the Professor, but it said not a word about where she was headed or what she was scheming to do, but she had made it clear that she was doing it for her mother’s sake. Thomas was unable to send out search parties, or even call the press , for fear that those who had assassinated her mother would locate her before anyone else, and put her out like they did her mother, so the region would have another death to mourn whilst they planned their next strike. Professor Oak certainly didn’t want Maddie, the sweet little girl he had known from birth, to be used like that.

I have find her. There’s nothing else to it. Thomas can’t leave, he’s too famous. It would just cause a big commotion, and people would find out. It would be all over the news, and that would be even more incentive for someone to hunt her down.

“No one will notice if I’m missing, will they Spearow?” Professor Oak finally spoke aloud, lifting his head from the table, the lines in his forehead relaxing a little as he had finally decided to do something about Maddie, as opposed to sitting around and waiting for some news, any news about the girl’s disappearance, waiting for a body found or even worse, a body never found. And he knew that Gary would never forgive him if they didn’t do something about it.

That’s right.. Gary. The Professor sighed, forehead creasing once again as his shoulders slumped. He had forgotten all about his grandson, who would be obviously devastated with the news. Especially the news about his best friend’s disappearance.

Poor kid. The Professor thought. He just returned not two days ago in high spirits about his trip to the Sinnoh region, where he helped rescue all those Shieldon. It’s like an omen. Less than forty-eight hours, and the Maywahs get involved in all this crap in the Kanto region. Things will only get worse with April dead. That I guaranteed. She was the only one not scared to stand up against all the violence and crime going on here, and her life paid the price. Hopefully they don’t get any ideas about going after her daughter next. That would be a little ruthless, but then again, I wouldn’t put anything past a drug boss.

And getting poor little innocent Maddie in their clutches and making an example of her would be the perfect way of getting the whole region’s attention. I need to stop thinking this. I can’t just stand around here and assume the worst anymore.

“C’mon, Spearow!” Professor Oak jumped up, barely noticing as his chair knocked out from beneath him and hit the hard tile of the kitchen floor.

“You’ll be perfect to use for scanning the area. And you can ask the other Pokemon if they’ve seen anything too! We have to find Maddie, and we have to find her tonight. You should’ve heard how worried sick her father sounded. He couldn’t do anything, but we sure can. And you never know, she might be coming our way--”

“Row!” Spearow cried out sternly, rubbing at his eyes with the very tip of a sharp-looking wing.

“Ah! You’re right!” The Professor laughed sheepishly. “Less talk, more looking. Oh.. I hope she isn’t hurt.”

Just as the Professor was reaching for the golden knob of the door, it burst open, as if finally giving in to some powerful dominating force, and The Professor shrank back in horror, terror appearing across his wrinkled old face, until he finally got a glimpse of who it was. He could barely believe it, as he rubbed once, then twice at his eyes to make sure his sleep-deprived mind wasn’t deceiving him. It wasn’t. There Madelyn Maywah stood, safe, completely untouched except for a couple of small bruises and a twisted ankle. Gary stood at her side, his arm supporting her, holding her up, as she leaned tiredly against him. Gary’s usual triumphant victorious smirk was replaced with an anxious frown, and pushing their way into the doorframe and out of the frigid downpour, a thin smile appeared across his chapped lips.

“Hi grandpa.” He said casually between gasps, leading the Professor to believe that someone was hurt. Professor Oak stood shocked in place, mouth agape, as he could barely believe what he was seeing. He had found her! Well, technically, Gary had found her, but who was asking? It was then that he noticed the fainted Pichu in Maddie’s quivering arms.

((Awesome! Thanks!))

A large city once beautifully built and surrounded by trees, colorful and inhabited by happy people and Pokemon, was now in the ruins. Injured people were laying down on the floor. The sky was dark, the ground was quaking and the earth was dead. A man’s silhouette in a black suit and with a hat was visible in the distance, two other silhouettes following him, this second ones shaped in a non-human manner. They were both standing at around the same height and with many curves and deformities around his body, and the other one. Every step the trio took made a fissure on the ground, despite his steps being soft and elegant.

Lightning all around, a heavy rain flooding the ground and complete cities in the ruins. The people tried to run somewhere, anywhere. They didn’t want that strange silhouette to see them. A building stood tall. The only one left in the whole city. “Mewtwo, Shadow Ball!” the man yelled angrily as one of the shadows placed his hands together, and after a few seconds a giant purple ball of energy shot from it, hitting the building and literally cutting it in two. The upper middle fell, destroying everything it touched as it his the ground. The lower middle collapsed. The trio kept on walking deeper into the city with their evil aura surrounding them. The few plants and grass near them rot as the approached. As the walked through the destroyed streets, a child crossed the street running as fast as he could and hoping not to be seen.. He failed. “Mewtwo, Psychic!” the shadow called as the other shadow stretched his hand and oppened his three ball shaped fingers, slamming the kid into a wall. The trio approached the kid, and in a soul-less and evil voice, the man whispered , “Mewtwo, Shado...”

“Go, Bruce, Go, Twilight!” Marc yelled as he threw two PokeBalls from his right hand high into the air. The two standard PokeBalls oppened and revealed a Machamp and an Espeon, both seeming very strong and prepared for battle. The evil trio was interrupted, and while Mewtwo held a giant Shadow Ball attack in his hand, Marc stepped in from the shadows. The man smirked in a very eerie way. “Shadow Ball, now!” the man exclaimed as the Mewtwo stretched his hand. “Twilight, Flash!” Marc exclaimed loudly, but in a calm mood. Espeon shoot a beam of light from the jewel in his forehead, lightning the area for a second and blinding the Mewtwo, making him shoot the Shadow Ball up into the sky. “Mewtwo, Shadow Ball, now!!” The evil man yelled now in a very loud and angry tone, his voice almost echoing. The Pokemon didn’t respond, though, for it was rubbing its eyes in pain.. “Agh!” The man exclaimed as he turned to the other silhouette, who had been very quiet and observative. Marc couldn’t recognize the figure at all. Was it a human? A Pokemon? Who knew. The only thing that was clear is that it placed itself in a fighting stance, the shadows covering it. “Hyper Beam!” The man exclaimed as the figure shot a very wide and powerful beam from what might have been its hands. “Bruce, protect!” Marc exclaimed as the Machamp stood in front of Twilight and Marc; placing its four arms together and forming a wide screen, which, as soon as the Hyper Beam hit it, was reflected at the evil trio Pokemon. The two were knocked away, but the man seemed untouched. “Bruce, Mega Punch!” Marc exclaimed as the Pokemon ran savagely at the man, and a second before the fist connected with the man’s body...

“BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!” A hand appeared from under some blankets and hit a button on an alarm clock. Marc sat up on the bed and yawned loudly, stretching his arms up as he did. He rubbed his eyes and the stood up. ~Were am I, again?..~ he though. ~Oh, Right, Sandgem Pokemon Center~ He remembered as he stood up from the bed. He took a shower and changed into clean clothes, then ran out to the Pokemon Center’s lobby, grabbing his backpack and stuff along the way. “Good Morning, sweetheart.” A nurse said as she noticed Marc walking out of the lodging rooms available at the Pokemon Center. “Your Pokemon are fully healed and ready to go.” The nurse walked over to a door that slid open automatically as she approached and shut tight once she was inside. After a few seconds, the nurse came out with two PokeBalls in her hand. She stretched her arm and gave the PokeBalls to Marc.

“Thanks” Marc said happily as he received his two PokeBalls. “Bye!” He said waving shortly to the nurse and heading outside the Pokemon Center. Before he could leave, though, he had to stop to notice something airing on the TV. “Shaymin has been discovered..” was a phrase that seemed to be all around Sinnoh these days. ~It’d be exciting.. To go ‘hunt for Shaymin..~ Marc though. But of course, the idea wasn’t what he would call good. Even though he knew how to get all around Sinnoh, he couldn't travel just like that when a war with Hoenn might burst at any moment, or at least not alone. Even then, not with first stage Pokemon. “Meh, Maybe later” he said to himself with a sigh as he walked out on to SandGem Town.

“It always smells salty hear” Marc noticed as he moved his head and examined Sandgem. ~Wow..~ he then thought as the dream from a while ago hit his mind. ~.. That was cool. ~ he thought with a mischievous grin as he looked down at his two PokeBalls in his hand. “Go, Bruce, Go, Twilight!” he said as he dropped the PokeBalls and his Machop and Eevee came out. They both yawned in unison and stretched, then looked around quickly and turned to Marc. “How did you spend the night?” he asked smiling. “Chop!” Bruce said merrily as Twilight just stared at Marc happily. “Let’s go... Um... Explore the nearby area. Maybe we can pay a visit to Prof. Rowan here or go to Canalave docks later.” Marc said as he stretched out his hand, calling both Pokemon back to the PokeBalls and then walking away..

That was very rude and to let you know I'm trying my best with these post. I'm sorry if my post aren't as long or interesting, but I'm just trying my best with this RPG. So if you're so wise why don't you tell me what I need to improve.

Take it to the OOC thread (http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=133223), boy.

On that note, your posts are illogical, rushed, have horrific grammar mistakes and one make an English teacher have a heart attack. You have three ways to 'improve': You could read various roleplaying support guides and figure out proper grammar. You could leave this RP or you could go to a less advanced RP, 'cause you're best really isn't good enough.

Tyson arrived in the sunny town of Twinleaf Town against his will. The remaining trainers that had forced him on to the boat and left him alone. He looked around and saw that Piplup and Cacnea had gone missing. The fear of his Pokemon being in Hoenn alone was too much for the blonde hair coordinator. He started to sweat and soon his forehead was full of wrinkles. He looked around some more and searched the port thoroughly.

After he had searched for ten minutes his face started to frown and the tears started to fall from his eyes. At first he tried to hold them in, but he had failed. Tyson fell to the ground and started to hold his hand in front of his face to stop others from seeing him. He finally let out the tears and as they ran down his pale face a tap hit him on the shoulder. He ignored the tap and then he was tapped again. He ignored it again and instead of a tap was hit by a Pin Missile.

Tyson turned around and found that his Cacnea and Piplup were behind him also filled with tears. "What are you guys crying about?" said Tyson with tears flowing and in a sad tone. "You should know I would have found you. You two are my Pokemon partners." they all went in for a group hug, but were interrupted by Professor Rowan.

"Excuse me why are you back in Sinnoh? I thought you wanted to start contest in Hoenn. Are you here for the Shaymin chase?" Professor Rowan continued to ask questions.

Tyson finally got up and said, "I'm here against my will and some foolish trainers. I don't have enough money to get another ticket to Hoenn so I've decided to catch Shaymin," then Tyson pulled out his Pokeball, "Once I do that I'm going to use it to rule the contest world." Tyson started to let out an evil laugh as Piplup and Cacnea joined him. Professor looked on and then slapped Tyson out of his dream world. "Shaymin was so powerful it created a crater in the ground. How do expect to catch it with a Piplup and a Cacnea?"

Tyson looked up and patted his Pokemon on the head. "We'll win with our contest moves. In contest, it isn't about the battle it’s about making your Pokemon look better than your opponents. With that strategy I won't have to overpower Shaymin, but I will have to out perform it."

"Rattata, use Super Fang!" A trainer yelled pointed at Bruce. "Rattat!" the small rat Pokemon yelped as it ran over to the Machop, his mouth oppening as he approached and revealing his long, sharp white teeth. It was grabbing more and more speed as he approached the Machop. The grass was being stomped at its feet, until it leaped into the air and stretched his front legs, getting ready to throw the powerful bite at Bruce.

"Bruce!" Marc yelled as the Machop placed himself into a fighting position, or actually, ready to receive a blow from the Rattata.

"Use!.." Marc exclaimed, but had no time to react. The Rattata's fang connected with the Machop's arm. "Yes!" The other trainer exclaimed as he threw a fist up into the air. "Choooop!" Bruce exclaimed in pain for a while, but then focused to stop the pain and stared at the Rattata biting in his arm. "Use Seismic Toss!" Marc yelled desperately. He relized it would be very easy to connect a Seismic Toss with the Rattata hanging from Machop's arm. "Maaaaa!" Bruce started saying calmly and quietly. "Rattata, Let go!" The other trainer exclaimed. As the Rattata noticed Machop was about to attack, it immediatly let loose and tried to run, but Bruce managed to grab it by the tail, then pulled it towards him and held it tight with both arms.

The Machop then started running forward with the Rat Pokemon in his arms, then took a leap into the sky and dissapeared with a sparkle. "No! Rattata!" The other trainer yelled nervous. "Where'd they go?! What did that Machop do to my Rattata!" he squealed nervously as he almost started to run around in circles, nervous about his Pokemon. Marc, on the other hand, couldn't be any more relaxed, for he knew what was coming. The same twinkle that sealed Rattata's fate appeared again, but this time showing Bruce and Rattata coming down at full speed, both head first, but Rattata's head was before Bruces.

Both Pokemon hit the ground with an immense strength, raising a very thick cloud of dusk as they did. "Rattataa...." the Rattata exclaimed tiredly, but nothign was visible. "No!" The trainer yelped again. "Yes.." Marc whispered to himself as the dust started to clear.

When the dust was gone, a very large crater was left on the ground, and Bruce was in the edge staring down. In the bottom of the crater, which was easily 20 feet deep, lied a fainted Rattata. "Rattata.. Come Back.." the trainer said very sadly as he pulled out a Pokeball and called his Pokemon back. "Excellent job, Bruce!" Marc said as Bruce approached slowly. Bruce raised his hand to do a high-five with Marc, which Marc connected. Marc then shook his hand in pain.. Doing a high-five with a Machop wasn't very smart.

"C'mon, let's go rest. Jubilife city is nearby, we can stop there and then go to either Canalave of back to Sandgem". "Chop!" said Bruce happily as he withdrew to his Pokeball. "Great Job.." called Marc one more time as he placed the ball on his belt and headed away.

OOC: I'm determined to get this started again, even if we're Roleplaying with only four people. ;P Sorry if this post isn't as good as the last few. I kind of rushed this one to get it up here. And OniRaichu, you have no excuse now! You must post. >D It's been days. And I should really be putting this in the RP Lounge, right? Lol.

“Maddie what--” The Professor started, the shock written across his face wiping clean as an anxious frown became its successor.

“We don’t have time to just stand around and talk about it!” Gary interrupted urgently, gently taking the tiny electrical mouse from his quivering friend and cradling it in his arms. He wore a frown to match his grandfathers’, and both their brows furrowed in exactly the same way. Though her mind was completely consumed with getting Sparks help, she felt the corners of her lips twitching up into a tiny grin, as the resemblance was uncanny. As Gary’s parents had tragically died when he and Maddie were still just tots in diapers, she had no clue as to who he looked like regarding his mother and father, but it was indeed certain that he had inherited some physical traits from his grandfather. And speaking of similarities between the two, they weren’t just physical.

“We must treat Sparks immediately!” They both exclaimed, oddly enough at the exact same time. Maddie tried not to giggle, and instead spread her hand out flat, pressing the palm of it against the door frame to support herself. Her thin knees knocked together, and her whole body violently shook, but her gaze remained focused on the Pokemon Gary was clutching in his arms.

“Forgetting something, fellas?” Maddies asked, playful sarcasm lacing her tone. Dahlia jumped from the crook of her arm and licked anxiously at her ankle, which she was trying unsuccessfully to keep from touching the ground.

“Oh, right.” The professor laughed sheepishly, the moment of seriousness temporarily halted as he remembered Maddie’s sprained ankle. He turned to his grandson, carefully removing the Pokemon from his arms and directing him toward Maddie.

“I’m no Pokemon Doctor, Gary. But I have been trained in the ways of treating minor Pokemon injuries in case of emergencies such as this. But from my rough speculation, I’m just guessing that little Sparks here over-exerted herself and released all her electrical energy. She’s just tired. After a long rest and a good meal, she’ll be fine. Same goes for Dahlia.” At this, the Professor paused and looked over at Maddie.

“But as goes for you, young lady, you’re going to need that ankle wrapped. And maybe even crutches, to keep you off it for a day or two.”

Maddie groaned, as this was a major setback in her plan. She glanced down at Dahlia, and raised an eyebrow, as he scampered behind her leg to escape her gaze, which teemed with exasperation and irritation.

“But it’s no problem, right grandpa?” Gary asked, moving back over to place his arm around Maddie. Gratefully, she leaned into it and closed her eyes.

“She can stay here until it’s healed up, right?”

“Hmm..” The Professor thought, glancing briefly at her ankle, and considering the question, habitually cupping his chin in his hand, and placing his pointer finger at the corner of his mouth. He smiled warmly then, and relaxed, running his hand along the sleek, feathered back of the Spearow who had planted himself upon the man’s shoulder. The twinkle had returned to his wise old eyes, and the air of youth which was naturally a part of his aura had taken over him again.

“Of course.” He said, cuddling the Pichu kindly against his body, wrapping her up in his white Laboratory coat in an attempt to dry her soaked yellow fur.

“I’m sure the two of you have a lot of catching up to do anyway.” The Professor smiled and turned his back to the two, just narrowly missing the guilty glances they cast at one another, both holding their self responsible for the lack of contact.

“I’ll just leave you two alone for a bit while I get Sparks settled in, and call your father Maddie--”

“NO!” Maddie shouted immediately, her face contorting into a scowl, as quickly, she scooped Dahlia up and grabbed her backpack. Gary cast her a look of disbelief, but she didn’t care. Her thin, soaked chest heaved violently, and she sighed, turning away from Professor Oak and Gary. She had shouted louder than expected, and now was a bit embarrassed. Maddie was famous for her cool, laid-back demeanor in front of people, so it was understandable why the two who had known her for pretty much her whole life were so surprised. It was completely out of character for Maddie to lose her composure.

“I-I’m sorry.” Maddie stuttered, her face growing hot as her rosy cheeks deepened into a cherry red color.

“But you can’t call him.” Maddie bit her lip, her brow furrowing, as subconsciously, her body got into a defensive stance. She hung her head, shifting uncomfortably, as Professor Oak and Gary only continued to stare, jaws agape. She finally turned to face the two ogglers, icy eyes finally freezing over and staring them back down.

“If you even pick up that phone, I’ll leave. I’m sorry, but I can’t let him take me away. I’m on a mission, and I will complete it with or without anyone’s help.” Instantly, she felt guilty for even suggesting something so ludicrous to the Professor, as she knew that without some form of support from someone, she and her Pokemon wouldn’t last very long. The probability of death was too high, either from starvation, or cold, most likely from lack of protection, and without cooperation from Professor Oak and Gary, she knew she didn’t have even the slightest of hopes. Sighing and tensing her shoulders, Maddie bravely looked up, her shoulders tensing as she braced herself for the fight which she knew would next occur, based on how well she knew the Professor.

"Glorious Jubilife. Jubilife City" Marc said with a slight smile as he went up the few steps in the entrance of Jubilife City, both Bruce and Twilight walking next to him. The Pokemon looked up at the enormous city.

The enormous buildings of the city made a large shadow over the trio, which was slowly walking into the city.

"You need to rest at the Pokemon Center, Right, Bruce? That was one tough battle" Marc said as he looked down at his Machop. "Chop-Chop!" Bruce said with a slight nod as he looked up at Marc. "Vee!" squealed Twilight as he spotted the Pokemon center in a near distance and started 'Barking' in a way an Eevee would. "Yep, there it is, Twilight" Marc said as he looked down at the Pokemon and smiled, then called both of the Pokemon to the Pokeballs.

"Bruce, Twilight, Come Back" he said in a very calm way as he stretched his arms out, one pokeball in each of his two hand. A red beam shot out of the balls and hit the Pokemon, vanishing them into the Pokeballs.

Marc then started to walk slowly to the Pokemon Center. When he reached the entrance, the doors opened automatically, and he walked in. He approached a nurse and gave her both of his PokeBalls, which she took from his hand and then placed them to rest. "They'll be ready in a while" the nurse said smiling at Marc.

"Ok, Thanks" Marc said with a small grin on his face as he turned away and sat down on a couch that had a TV near it. "And the search for Shaymin continues!" the newscaster said as a picture of Shaymin appeared in the background. "Hm.. That Shayimin.." Marc whispered to himself. ~It would be awesome if I could go search for it. I mean, not like I cared much about it.. But there isn't much to do now.. I don't feel like taking the league challenge right now... And everyone's worried about a war with Sinnoh..~ Marc drifted away in thought for a few minutes. "Your Pokemon are ready" The nurse said. "Wow, that was fast" Marc said. "Thanks"

Marc grabbed the pokeballs. ~Where should I head now..~ Marc thought. "Perhaps a visit to Canalave docks will do" he whispered to himself as he walked away.

The markets of Slateport were a dirty place to be, especially for a young girl such as Alyssa. Zig worried for her. He knew her enough to understand that she could take care of herself, but there was that feeling that ruffled his fur which told him she was only getting into more and more trouble. Take now, for instance, as she bargained with a dealer at the entrance of the markets.

“So you do have a boat?” asked Alyssa.

“Aye,” said the man. “Yes, I do.” He looked very old and had a very rough voice. It was as if a devine power created him for the seas, because he certainly looked and played the part well.

“That's perfect.” She rubbed her hands together and appeared relieved. Zig got closer and sniffed the man. He smelt fishy, and not the sea kind. “So would you take us to Sinnoh?”

“No,” said the dirty man. “There's no way I'm letting ya stow away in me ship.”

Of course. Zig knew this would happen; it always happened. What would follow would be another bargain with Alyssa, and then after so much talking, it would lead to a secret sort of mission she'd have to complete just so she could have a ride back to Sinnoh. Well, at least she never broke down and cried.

As Zig suspected, it happened just as he imagined. “Ya really want ter bargain with me here,” said the man. “I'm surprised, really. Tell ya what; do me a favor, and I'll give ya access to wherever ya want to go on me private boat.”

“It's a done deal. What do you need?”

“Ya know Hoenn good?”

“Not good enough.”

“Well this will be simple anyway.” He locked her in an embrace and pointed northward, beyond the market place and beyond the contest arena and Pokémon Center. “North of here ya will find a road that'll lead ya to another city. This place ya want ter be is Mauville City.” He let go of her and smiled back ugly teeth. “I got a friend there that owe's me money. He hangs out at the Game Corner at around,” (he looked at a smudged and nearly broken wrist watch on his hand), “about now. Tell him Captain Garbough is lookin' fer him. Tell him he wants his money fer fuel.”

As expected, the answer came directly with no remorse. “It's a done deal. I'll be back soon.”

The Professor's brow furrowed, and instantly, his back erected as he crossed his arms, still holding the fainted Pichu. Stubbornly, he shook his head at Maddie, and anxiously began tapping the sole of his slipper against the hardwood floor, a sure sign of irritation. An awkward silence pursued, as the Professor seemed to be expecting more from the girl, but she had no clue what to say. She just knew one thing for certain: She wouldn't go back until her mother was avenged.

"Well..?" The Professor asked, raising a grey eyebrow expectantly, as he continued staring directly at Maddie. His stare intimidated her, and though she was renowned for being one of the best speakers in the nation, at this instant found herself speechless before one of her oldest family friends, and not only that, but completely self-conscious. She glanced down at Dahlia, who stood anxiously on his hindlegs, pressing his soaked paws against her legs. Maddie quickly shook her head and looked over at Gary, who hadn't yet said a word, and watched her with that same expectant expression of his grandpa's.

"I meant what I said." Maddie stated, just to clear the awkward silence. She cringed as silence followed after, and even turned red as the Professor and Gary didn't waver in their stares. As she turned red, the Professor let loose a loud laugh, and slowly approached her. Dahlia stood defensively before her.

"I know you did." The Professor replied, moving a hand to scratch at the back of his neck. His eyes twinkled playfully, and as he caught Gary's eye, he raised an eyebrow.

"I know you better than most, Madelyn Maywah. I watched you grow from a toddler into a magnificent young lady, and from the time you first learned to speak, I knew you were destined to speak to people. You had the gift of words. But quite frankly, my dear, I know you a bit too well. Your word manipulation means nothing here. I'm not looking for you to talk me into something. I want truth, honest truth." As he turned away from Maddie to his Spearow, his face crinkled up, and boyishly, he laughed.

"Besides," he reminded her. "You're a smart girl, Maddie. Even if you did do something as stupid as running away when you're as inexperienced as you are. You know that without some form of support, your efforts are futile."

Darn. Maddie thought, thin arms covering her chest a bit shamefully, which was bow visable through her wet white sundress. Gary noticed and politely turned away. She had been hoping that the Professor wouldn't realize this same fact she had known all along and use it to his advantage. But of course, he had. So defeated, she simply looked up at him, biting her lower lip and taking a deep breath.

"The truth is, I never once thought I could go through with this alone. Actually, I was kind of hoping someone, anyone would find me, so I could at least tell myself that I tried, but now I know that's not good enough anymore. My mother is dead at the hands of some greedy murderer, and it's my job as her only daughter to avenge her. I know i'm weak, and i'm unskilled, and I don't even hardly know a thing about pokemon other than Eevee and Pichu.." She paused in her speech then, eyes beginning to sparkle helplessly with tears, as shamefully she hung her head. She felt so weak.. and vulnerable.

"But I can't use any of that as an excuse." Her voice faltered, and she stopped, clearing her throat and raising her head to stare directly at the Professor. His expression had changed, and now instead of looking disbelieving and impatient, he appeared sympathetic, and almost moved to tears.

"I need your help, and without it, i'll die." She squared her shoulder, and absently reached down to pet Dahlia. Her own eyes shone with tears, yet bravely she stood, refusing to break down.

"My mom's been dead for only a few hours, assassinated trying to protect every person and pokemon in this nation. She deserves something, and this is the least I can do for her now." Maddie began fiddling with the Pikachu ribbon tied in her hair, and let her shoulders loose as the tears spilled down her pale cheeks.

"I need your help." She gasped, tears continuing to spill down her cheeks as pleadingly she looked up at Gary.
