Has anyone EVER lost a battle by a move that always does NOTHING? Can you believe you can be koed by a simple splash? Aparently splash can faint a pokemon but its a rare case that also shows up in Gold/silver/crystal. Has anyone experience anything like that legitimately?

Its highly unlikely. And if you mean by using Splash ONLY, then its down right impossible(unless on the off chance that the opponent used Explosion and you held on to your Focus Band).

I also thought that too, till i fought a skiploom in silver, and a magikarp in emerald. I'm gooding to look into this. There must be some to SPLASH, I dont think game freaks make a useless move. I gotta find out how could SPLASH cause a one-hit ko.

yea, ive always wondered why they put in splash, i hope someone finds out the reason
