Right, here is the situation:
Im starting a new game on my firered, and im transferring all the pokemon i want to keep from it to my emerald (which is about 74 pokemon). I know the fastest way to get something to trade for are the lvl 2 and 3 weak pokemon. I need about 99 ultra balls to cover that up. But i need more money! How do i make more fast?

have rematches with trainers you already beat, and sell stuff you dont need. easiest ways to get money.

And don't forget giving your first pokémon an Amulet Coin, it will double the money you get in battles.

Well, not being funny, but for catching weak Lv2 and Lv3 Pokémon to trade wont require Ultra Balls. PokéBalls can catch them pretty much every time. So this would cut down the money required by 5/6, as Ultra Balls are 1200 credits, and PokéBalls are only 200.

Yup, Pokeballs are the way to go, and you definitely need to get an amulet coin. So just make sure that one of the kept pokemon in your Emerald get traded to your new game quickly and give it the Amulet Coin. That way you can start loading up on money early on with the gym leaders and should have enough money for the pokeballs before you even get near the elite four.
Watch out for that jet Metang!

Luck incense does the same thing as amulet coin so you can use that to.
