Ruby and Sapphire - The Past?

Basically, out of boredom, I translated the Braille near the sapphire in LeafGreen.
Now, I don't have the translation with me, but it mentions "a new world that glows" and connecting with the past. I'll edit with the translation, probably tomorrow.

Now, I was wondering, when they mention the past, did they merely mean that the games were released before, or could they be hinting at something else?

As well, why does Hoenn (and maybe Orre) glow?

Any theories?

This could be reffering to Sinnoh, or (if you're one of those types) a possible GSC remake...?

I'm not sure, but that's interesting, I never bothered to translate the Braille myself.

Maybe they mean that Hoenn glowed when Groudon made the sun shine (or/and Kyogre or/and Rayquaza made lightning storms rain) in those games? :)

Which story takes place first? LeafGreen is the same story as the old Red and Blue, and they happen before Gold and Silver. But when does the Hoenn-storyline take place?

R/S/E I don't think has any specific period to put it on a timeline... D/P/? takes place 3 years before G/S/C, around the time of Red and Blue's adventures. But I don't recall anything about R/S/E. Maybe I need to go play it again.
