THE CREATORS
We're Magneto20 and Andyp5-15, and we've been hacking since Summer 2007. We originally worked on a Gold hack called Pokemon SkyBluePink, which was, for a better word.... awful.
However, our hacking skills have improved quite a bit since then, and now we're working on a Fire Red hack. We're not the GREATEST hackers in the world, but we're aiming to make a good game people will enjoy.
THE GAME
Pokemon Septo Conquest is our debut game. In essence it's to show that ANYONE can make a good ROM-Hack if they work hard enough on it. Because we're actually friends in real life and not just online it's given us a huge advantage to make Septo Conquest, which we've been working on since last autumn. The hacking isn't the BEST, scripting could be better, but we feel as if we've got a good, funny and enjoyable game.
We've already released one beta and a second one will be available shortly.
THE SEPTO REGION
The region of Septo is divided into seven main islands, with a smaller mini-island to the west.
Here's a short descritpion of each:
1st Island: The island you begin the game in. It's a foresty island with lots of twisting mazes.
2nd Island: This is a muddy barren island with only one town. Lots of rocks and caves.
3rd Island: It's a tropical beach island. It's the smallest of the main seven islands.
4th Island: This island is mostly made up of open fields. Has many thugs running about.
5th Island: A very misty island where visibility is really low.
6th Island: This is the biggest of the main seven islands. It's constantly raining and several places are flooded.
7th Island: Made up of mountains and is very sunny. Lots of hikers around.
The mini-island can only be accessed after completing all seven islands. The final bosses are on this little island.
THE STORY
One year ago, the King of Septo was assassinated and his kingdom was stolen from him by two people known as The Dictators. Prof. Oak, who was working as the King's chief researcher, managed to rescue the King's only child and took him/her to his hometown of Faris Town.
Now living with an alcholic foster mother, you, the only child to the King and the true heir to the throne of the Septo Region, must take the region back. After Oak gives you a Pokemon, you start your very own quest. The objective is to overthrow the seven Barons (minions of the Dictators), each of who rule one island. By doing that, you'll be able to conquer that island and get closer to the showdown with the two Dictators.
However, there is more to it. You will also be fighting two evil teams: Team Vine and Team Solar. Team Vine are a bunch of eco-warriors who fight the save nature, but in bad ways, and Team Solar are an organisation of criminals who steal, pillage and kidnap people and Pokemon alike.
NOTABLE FEATURES
- 3 Starters: Machop, Drowzee and Skarmory.
- A host of new characters, including the player, the 7 Barons, a Pokemon thief named Cookman and much more!
- A few old characters from the original games return in new roles: Oak, who was the King's chief researcher, Lance, who becomes an ally and gives you many free items throughout the game, Brenden and May, who were kidnapped from Hoenn by Team Solar and brought to Septo, Bill, who is now an evil scientist who likes to clone people. Also Brock serves as a boss early on in the game, as he is now homeless after being kicked out of Kanto and seeks to battle many skilled trainers in order to get his old gym leader position reinstated.
- A whole new region to explore.
- Lots and lots of humour - very good dialogue to keep people entertained.
- All 386 Pokemon from the advance games.
- No Pokemon Gym Challenge. Instead it's fighting the Barons.

I must say, I'm definitely intrigued by this. You've cooked up a really interesting looking storyline, and if you can deliver on it, you should have a really enjoyable hack.
I look forward to seeing more from this.

Andyp5-15 has recently pointed out that there is a Septo Conquest thread on here (I forgot...) so now I bring you people updates!
A lot has happened since April, and we're nearing completion. We've hacked up until the seventh island, and then we've only got the Elite 4 areas to do.
So, yeah, big improvement.
I noticed some guy commented on the dark storyline. Response: Yes, it's dark, yet more original than the generic "Beat the 8 gyms, a rival and the Elite 4". You may notice I said in this post "then we've only got the Elite 4 areas to do", implying there's an Elite 4 in this game, but there's not. That's just my way of describing the areas where the final bosses are fought. The replacement of the Elite 4 are the Two Dictators.
Also some other guy said the maps looked easy or something. Well, they've improved, and those screenshots aren't exactly showing off the best maps.
Without further ado: THE SCREENSHOTS!
Every time the player defeats a Baron, he kills him/her (with the exception of the fifth Baron, for reasons I won't disclose right now) in a creative way. In this case, it's playing a James Blunt song! (Apologies to anyone who actually likes James Blunt)

I genuinely meant 'kill'. This is a darker game than usual, as someone in this thread has already noticed.
But don't worry! It's only a game! They're not really dead, as they're only fictional!;)
Also, no, Baron Alberto won't be in Septo Conquest.
destinedjagold - The sign is there because it's a joke. It's making fun of those road signs like "WARNING! SLIGHT BEND IN ROAD IN 500M!".
Also, here's three more screenshots:

On the second floor of the Silver Castle is a nefarious maze where in instances the orange tiles are the wall and the blue tiles are the floor, however it changes at random points making it difficult to conquer. In addition, the key to solving this maze is moving the boulders (not seen in the previous version of this puzzle located at the Team Vine HQ) in certain directions.

Good news, people!
SEPTO CONQUEST is nearing full completion!
Yes, you heard it right, a ROM-hack has been seen through by only two people and is very nearly ready to be released unto the magical internet (as a patch, for legal purposes)!
Me and Magneto20 are just adding the finishing touches, so if all is good, then you can all play Septo Conquest in just over fortnight.
Also, a new, final trailer for Septo Conquest will be done soon, so look out for that too.
Once Septo Conquest is done, we can move onto our sophomore hack, Lance Adventures

Yes as long as the sgm files are in the same folder as the updated Septo Conquest (the sgm files are the save files).
We've had a look at possible bugs in the game, and we haven't found any, so hopefully it's all good.

This really sucks that everyone else is finding bugs that me and Andyp159 didn't notice. Tell you what, we'll fix all these glitches soon and release an updated version.
After beating Baron Joey, head left to Route 4B and there's a red-ish building. Go in there and there's a broken subway that takes you to Route 6A. Then head right to Rikku Village.

We hope you realise some glitches are unfixable (such as the opening menu near walls), due to the game being expanded too much. However, if you save regularly, you will be able to avoid this hampering your gameplay too much. (Yes, we are sure this is unfixable!)
Thanks for saying this game rocks by the way!

When we first started Septo Conquest, we didn't realise that expanding certain areas (ie. text + maps) would cause unfixable glitches. However, the nitpicks that you have pointed out really don't affect the overall gameplay. Also, maybe you did not realise that the description in screenshot 1 was in fact relating to Mario and Luigi, two of the best known game characters of all time! We were not intending to insult anybody by including mentions of races.
We will endevour to fix any serious glitches (ones that stop you playing the game, and not tiny errors like bizzare characters at the end of a sentence.)

Any save games will carry over to the new version, so hopefully, your problem should be fixed. And, yes, as far as we are aware, the glitch you had was unfixable. This was due to us expanding too many of the maps, (something we are being very careful of in Lance Adventures) We are very sorry if you have to start the game again. MOST IMPORTANTLY, if anyone has realised, we found that BILLS LAIR was tha glitched up area, and on the latest post (link above) we have put in a new builiding in BALTHEIR ROCKS, taking you to a new, and hopefully, glitch free BILLS LAIR. (at least it was glitch free when we tested it)

Me and Magneto20 are happy with the starters as they are. We chose them specifically chosen on their type (similar to how the startes in the original game work) but not so that they were uber-rare. Also, I would like to point out that Drowzee does evolve. He evolves into Hypna at level 26. :P

this is a really good hack and i really want to play through the rest of it but a few more glitches have come up. first off, in the balthier rocks place whenever i try to teleport back to the pokemon center i land in the water to the left of the city and i cant get out because theres a boulder blocking the way. second, i had the same problem as dio ever since after the first baron but i managed to get past it by getting away from the glitched trainers without stopping. then i got tp bills garden and the same thing happened so i got the new version. it doesnt happen anymore but after the first trainer in there i get stuck in this block of pavement with 3 boulders in it. is there something wrong with the new version or do i just have a bad firered rom (it runs the game at like 300%)?

If it runs at 300% regularly, then I'd say you have a bad FireRed ROM. My only solution to being trapped in the block of pavement with 3 boulders is to save the game regularly with more than 1 saveslot (I'd recommend 3 or 4 saveslots).
We fixed the problem of landing in the water in Balthier Rocks after flying there, it's in version 2.1.
Thanks for posting up these problems, and if you find any horrendous, game-annihilating bugs, please post them up here and me and AndyP159 will fix them ASAP.

Really an awesome hack, congratulations.
Problems I've noticed :
- If you Fly/Teleport in Aeris Island you just land in the middle of the water on the right eye of the smiley in the water ... and cause you only get Surf later you're stucked (that's why now I save ervery 10minutes in order to avoid such cases)
- There are some places from where you cannot Fly, it just locates you on the upper-left corner of the map and cannot choose any destination
- Some trainer's pokemon stilh have "original" moveset, example in Xande's Gym, you can fight a Ponyta who will attach with Wine whip or Stun Spore for example
-When you try to go on exit number 2 from Seafom Island, there is just a white screen, the music goes on but you''re stucked and cannot do anything
- There are some ways blocked by invisible barriers, and you cannot use Surf in every water you see but just in a few
- Another glitch present in others ROM hacks, sometimes after win a battle between a trainer or a wild pokemon, you just take control of a npc and can only move in a few directions (many you're even invisible) and the only solution is to Fly/Teleport/Dig/Escape rope if possible.
As I said, when you save regulary there is no real problem with those issues, and congratulations again for this fantastic hack - very innovative and I definitely love the dark/trash side of it !
Moreover it's a real pleasure to battle against real trainers, you've only defeated 4 barons and you already encounter lvl 40 charizards, tortoise, etc ... it's definitely an awesome difference with the pathetic lvl 20 nidorans or spearow you have to battle in the orginial rom so far (or encounter a lvl65 Tentacruel while using Surf, woaw Oo)

That was actually intentional. I thought it would be funny to strand the player in the middle of a smiley face in a town (it annoyed AndyP159 initially when he was testing that part). Sorry if it annoys you as well. If you haven't got surf then simply fly to Balthier Rocks and walk to Aeris Island from there (it takes about 20 seconds). Unless Aeris Island suffers from the next bug...
- There are some places from where you cannot Fly, it just locates you on the upper-left corner of the map and cannot choose any destination
If this bit happens on Aeris Island, then I apologise. Lucky you save every 10 minutes, eh?
Anyway, this bug stumped us. We couldn't figure out what was causing it nor could we get rid of it, so this is one of the very few unfixable bugs in the hack.
Some trainer's pokemon stilh have "original" moveset, example in Xande's Gym, you can fight a Ponyta who will attach with Wine whip or Stun Spore for example
Really? That's odd. Let's just say that Ponyta was a half-breed or an alien or something...
But in all serious, we couldn't edit EVERY pokemon in the game, only the bosses. Usually PET (the tool we used to edit the trainer's pokemon and their movesets) just gave the pokemon moves according to their type. But maybe there are freak occurences where it doesn't work.
-When you try to go on exit number 2 from Seafom Island, there is just a white screen, the music goes on but you''re stucked and cannot do anything
That's because Seafoam Islands shouldn't be in the hack... where is Seafoam Islands exactly?
- There are some ways blocked by invisible barriers, and you cannot use Surf in every water you see but just in a few
If you mean Route 3A above Aeris Island is barred, then that's intentional. There's a place there which the player is banished from by two enigmatic people (revealed later in the game).
The very dark patches of water are unsurfable, like in the original. All other patches of water should work fine, with the exception of Route 3A because that's the way we made it (we didn't want people surfing to the place the player is banished from).
- Another glitch present in others ROM hacks, sometimes after win a battle between a trainer or a wild pokemon, you just take control of a npc and can only move in a few directions (many you're even invisible) and the only solution is to Fly/Teleport/Dig/Escape rope if possible.
Sorry about those annoying bugs, they happened to us a lot while we were testing it, and we had to delete the trainers that really give the player a problem. Unfortunately this bug is unfixable, so yeah, it's good to use fly and save often.

Glad you're enjoying it. If you like the reasonable high-levelled trainers, then you'll enjoy the trainers in the final stages of the game (I think the 7th baron has something like a lv.63 houndoom or something). But yeah, keep playing and I hope you'll enjoy the rest of the hack.

Ok, 1st thanks for all your quick answers - the unfixable bugs are not really anoying - I just make shure to save regulary.
- The 1st time I was sticked in the smiley face in Aeris Island was via the Abra's teleport - so I didn't have Fly nor Surf ... so I was just stucked whit this sweety smiley looking at me, but it's a good trap - funny in a certain way !
- About the non-Surfable water places - yeah I meant the ones in Aeris Island so glad to see it's normal and I'm now tryin' to figure out what is the correct way to go there .
- About the Seafom islands, well it's when I'm going in Steiner City, head left to Route 5C and then I continue on a long road named Lands Ends (where I encounter once again the famous Cookman and the former Team Aqua (really love the idea and the trained pokemons they have btw), at the end of this way there is a cave entrance.
If I enter in, I'm into Seafom Islands, then all the boulders are already moved as they should be (fortunately cause I didn't founded Strengh yet) so I can reach the Articuno, but if I want to use the 2nd exit, the game just freezes with the name of the road and a blank screen with the music that goes on ...
Another glitch is that after defeating Craig, you can walk through the wall in which he has emprisonned a little family, but if I try to talk to the mother the game just freeze - so I guess I'd rather leave them all die
Seriously, one of the main point of this hack - with the high-levelled trainers - is definitely all the sarcasms, I really loved them, it radicaly changes from the original games where conversations are just too sweet I guess ...
"are you a trainer ?"
"no I'm a gender-confused wolf ... end of sarcasm ..."
EDIT : WTF I've just founded the wild pokemons and most of all ... the two trainers (arg) in the electric factory .... this is what I called difficuly - really love that ! but is it possible to go back there later ?

We are glad someone found it funny - however, we never thought of warping or teleporting there. There idea was to stop people flying.
About the non-Surfable water places - yeah I meant the ones in Aeris Island so glad to see it's normal and I'm now tryin' to figure out what is the correct way to go there .
Yeah, I guess we should have made it more clear - perhaps with a sighnpost or something, but you know now.

I beleieve that is because the map that the warps lead out onto is corrupt. This is similar to what hapened in Cerulean City, resulting in all the warps having to be removed.

Hehe, you've just come acrross the VERY end bosses of the game. They were kind of hidden, and you SHOULD have acessed them from the door on VIRGIN ISLE. These are supposed to be the hardest trainer's in al the land, in search of the legendary pokemon. I presume you accessed this area through the cave - Maybe the scripts i put on the map didn't work properly. Anyway, yes, it is possible to get back there later (towards the end) and thanks for pointing out the flawed scripts! (I might leave themn in, just to be mean! lol)

I accessed this area via the Virgin Isle, I cannot access it via the diglet cave cause I'm "repelled by a mysterious force" (the same if I try to go on the Tradis Lab) so the script is OK and innovative about this mysterious force.
However I can already access Silver castle - the policemens stop asking me for badges after the 4th I guess (even if I still I only have defeated 6 barons, I don't have Strengh yet, and I'm still didn't find the way to go on the middle Island, the one in which you cannot surf to)

You can access Silver Castle already?! That was quick. If you don't have the Strength HM yet, you can find it in Steiner City.
You seem to have progressed pretty quickly in Septo Conquest, so now's a good time to tell everyone that the first person to complete Septo Conquest (with proof) wins a prize: a sneak peek at our second hack, Lance Adventures (the sequel to Septo Conquest)!

The 1st to complete Septo Conquest ... what do you mean about it ? ^^ Cause I just beaten up the master of septo and the french doppelganger hypertrainer ... and what proof do you need ? (I've made screenshots if needed)
Btw, why are they so many french trainers/conversations in the game ? Are you french ? (in fact I am, that's why I wonder)
But what can I do now ? I mean after the end credits - cause I still cannot reach the island of the north of Aeris
Just another glitch I've founded is in Necron, in the house with all the Lance's fans, I cannot reach the last one and his pokeball - an invisible square prevents me to do that.
And also I've founded that I can still reach the one-two-three islands by Flying to the Pokemon Center at the upper-right corner, and then go through the factory. Don't know if it's the normal way do return there but this is a way.

Yes it's a normal behaviour, it seems to be a place where the player is banned. And you cannot surf there neither.
But I advice you to have a look where the sandstorm in order to reach the next Island ;-)

The French Doppelganger is the final boss of the main storyline, so the only things left to do really is defeat the two super-strong trainers in the factory, explore the three islands if you haven't done so already, and defeat the cult of Lance (which doesn't seem to work for some reason).
If you could message me some screenshots that would be great, and it would confirm you to be the first person to beat Septo Conquest! Although you've mentioned the doppelganger already, so it's pretty obvious you beat the hack, so congratulations and thanks for playing!
If you message me the screenshots then I'll send you a sneak preview of mine and AndyP159's second hack, Lance Adventures. Don't bother sending any screenshots to AndyP159 as he's currently unavailable and won't reply.
Again, congrats on finishing Septo Conquest and thanks for all the feedback, and I hope you look out for Lance Adventures, which is now in development.

Screenshot sent via PM ;-)
I'll level up a little in order to beat the two super-trainers in the factory with their impressive pokemon team (arg)
About the "cult of Lance" house, I tried to return there after beating up the game, but there is still the same ### invisible square thats prevents me goin' further.
But do you plan something about the area where the player is banned from ? I can see a Lance and Oak character in it and I'm really curious of what can be done there.
Btw at the beginning of the story oak speaks about a place where you can buy masterballs - is it a myth ? I always thought it would have been into the famous innaccessible city.
One more thing - don't sure if it's really a glitch but with well-trained pokemons it's possible to reach the silver castle and so beat the game without goin' into Necron - it would be sad for someone to miss this city.
Another thing I've only noticed now : you spoke earlier about the girl pokemon trainer sprites, but I get the original FireRed girl trainer sprite with brown hait and ridiculous hat (if I choose the boy and get the blondie one).
My impressiosn after beatin' up this game is that this is from far the best advance generation pokemon rom hack, the strong trainers, the humor present everywhere, the almost complete new map etc .... again CONGRATULATIONS !
The only thing I kinda regret is the starters - you can catch charmander and squirtle (don't sure of the exact name - I'm more familiar with the french names - I mean the pre-evolution of warturtle) in the very 1st areas so the starter you choose is quickly forgotten. I almost complete the whole game whith those 2 ones (now both lvl 75) and only catch a few in the factory (flygon, electabuzz and blazyken) - the 6th remains always a lvl5 Abra with only Teleport to avoid the hack glitches.

An Item in Myst Forest to get through this force? If it's the case I didn't noticed it (I founded a Key in this forest but I cannot use it to go through the repelling force - I know now what is behind this force, I can cross it coming from the north but not from the south.
But in the cave leading to diglet tunnel, there is another exit, if you take this one you'll find your way to the next island if I remember well.

What is the story behind the French Doppleganger?I want to know becuase I beat him Thursday. The game was fun to play.Lance Adventures looks good.:)
The story behind the French Doppelganger is that there is a parallel universe where everyone is French. The French Doppelganger and his father, the "Parallel Version of the King of Septo" fell through a gap in the parallel universes and ended up in the one where Septo Conquest takes place. Enlisting the Two Dictators, they had this universe's King of Septo killed and ruled over the Septo region from behind the scenes, hiring the Seven Barons to watch over the seven islands.
And thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Lance Adventures is in progress now, and a beta will be available in about a fortnights time.

I've just beaten up Carl Phasno & The Showman, will they be the same in Lance Adventure ? I mean in a paralel in where they will become as strong as in Septo Conquest ?
They're really a great challenge, and the fact that you cannot heal your team before the 2nd battle increases the difficulty, congrats for this good idea (and fortunately that they don't use any healing items - the challenge is hard enough I guess)
Just another question, so there is definitely no way to go to the town of the north of Aeris Island ?
And are they any other secrets hidden somewhere in the one-two-three islands ?

I've just beaten up Carl Phasno & The Showman,
Wow. I had to read that several times over. Just... wow.
will they be the same in Lance Adventure ? I mean in a paralel in where they will become as strong as in Septo Conquest ?
In Parallel 1 Carl Phasno and the Showman are the main villains and yes, they become just as powerful as they were in Septo Conquest, if not more! They're the final bosses in Parallel 1.
In Parallel 2, they're killed straight away before they can become powerful.
In Parallel 3 they only minor villains so don't become quite as strong as in Septo Conquest, but they're still quite powerful.
Just another question, so there is definitely no way to go to the town of the north of Aeris Island ?
And are they any other secrets hidden somewhere in the one-two-three islands ?
Originally there was going to be a way to get to that town (it was called Harkness City) but the map screwed up completely and we just left it alone rather than trying to fix it and then making it even worse.
I'm not sure about the islands, AndyP159 was in charge of that bit, I think there's some old guy on the second island who will give you some powerful moves, but the main hidden place was the Carl Phasno/Showman lair.

Note: We realise this is the Septo Conquest thread, however the admins have not yet approved the official Lance Adventures thread. As soon as they do, we will post them up there.
(If you're reading this and are an admin, HURRY UP AND APPROVE IT! :) ) (Please?)
So until then, all update for Lance Adventures will be posted here.

No we will not be adding D/P pokemon into Lance Adventures, as we feel this is already included in plenty of hacks and we strive to set ourselves apart from others.
HOWEVER, new (snowy!) tiles are being made at the moment and will be implemented at a later stage. As of yet, no new tiles have been used.

Patch the Parallel 1: Quest for the Legendaries first. Play that then patch the 2nd Parallel to a CLEAN Emerald ROM. Repeat for Parallel 3 after playing Parallel 1+2, and enjoy!
You can play them in order you wish, but that's just no fun!

We reckon that your ROM is faulty, as no-one else who tested the beta after uploading it (including us) seems to have suffered from this glitch.
My advice: download a fresh Emerald ROM OR download a fresh Lunar IPS patching utility as it could be this causing the glitches (we are not 100% sure).
Meanwhile, here's some updates for Lance Adventures in the form of screenshots (we've changed some things since the beta)!

Hello all! We have been working hard on Lance Adventures, despite reading some poor reviews on Septo Conquest
Anyways, in other news, we are currently working on some new scripts (perhaps some more sophisticated ones than before), some entirely new tile sets, (and editing some already existing ones to suit our needs more specifically) as well as the editing of the evolution of POKeMON, so you can catch all POKeMON - for example, machamp now evolves into Machoke at level 40, instead of through a trade, (which is obviously impossible on such ROMS), and the same applies to other pokemon, such as PORYGON, ONIX etc, as well as the EEVEE evolutions UMBREON and ESPEON, which were always very difficult to get in the original Emerald.
In edition, we are editing the POKeDEX data, and plan on getting some more screenshots showing further progress very soon. We are even having a mess around with importing new music into the games, however we haven't had much success with that yet.
For anyone who played our debut hack, Septo Conquest, I think we all agree that our hacking skills have progressed far since we began that hack just over a year ago.
Hopefully more screeshots of progress will be on the way soon, especially since I am nearing enough posts to be able to put up screenshots and links. Hooray!

Um, now that you're working on Lance Adventures, I'm not sure if you'll still be fixing bugs for Septo Conquest, but I feel that this one is rather important.
If you enter Deadman's Castle without the Silph Scope (or whatever it may be called in this game), and you make it all the way to the scripted ghost battle at the end, the game forces you into a dead end, with only one direction to walk in, which would be where the ghost is, so you're trapped, for good. I got lucky and was able to use Dig to escape, but you still might want to take a look at the script and change it to force your character into a different direction after running.

OK, thanks for noticing this Glitch. I have taken the time to correct it (it was a movement permissions error causing the problem.)
The link for Septo Conquest Version 3 is here:
(removed, Glitched up)
On this version, besides the adjustment in Deadman's Castle, we have adjusted the title Screen slightly - we found a new tutorial, and patch, so here's a screen:
http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll186/andyp159/SeptoConquest_01.png
Credits: X-Buster & GPO for the Title Screen Patch. This helped us a lot.
(not being used in this game, caused MAJOR glitches adding it to a finished hack)
Anyways, thanks a lot for the continued interest in this hack.

Ok, it seems that the new tutorial and patch DESTROYS all the connections within the game. Therefore, we have decided that the title screen above (apologies to X-Buster & GPO) will not be in this hack. We have decided that the best way to go is with the previous, unfinished Kingdra title screen. Here is the link for v.3.1 of Septo Conquest anyways:

I love the hack, but i have a problem. I just beat the first baron and was outside the fortress town when for so reason my character has an "out of body experience" . In other words she is frozen in place and i can "spirit walk" around her but only a short distance. I can't get back in my body....3 hours down the drain :(
Anyone have a save state right after the first baron...possibly with a wartortle?

I think that to unlock the Baron, you need to locate the 4 switches. These are contained within the trash-cans in the Baron's Lair (similar to the third gym in the original game) Yes, I know that the ideas are crappy, but bear with the story, it improoves muchly towards the end, I promise.
While I'm here, I might as well get some Admin out of the way:
The trailer for Lance Adventures is now up on the wonderfull internet. It can be viewed here:

We know what it is!

I can't seem to get out of the seafoam cave. Every time i go out the exit the game freezes.
Also on the long bridge after Rikku i encounter some bad glitches where my character would leave her body and become one of the other sprites on the screen and i could only move a few steps. This happened mostly after a battle or after messing around in the menu. I've encounted this glitch a few other places but it was really bad here. So bad that the only way to get around it was to use teleport after severl battles. That is the only way to around it is to warp away.

Yes, that challenge was rather nefarious wasn't it?

i have the same problem........
Ok, that is quite a serious problem. That was one thing that we DIDN'T realise. It must have been a movement permissions error. I appologise for this, and remind people to save at regular intervals, using multiple slots if necceserry.

Maybe this post from earlier will help...
I beleieve that is because the map that the warps lead out onto is corrupt. This is similar to what hapened in Cerulean City, resulting in all the warps having to be removed.
Also, there are many people complaining that the game creates 'Outer-body experiences' or the sprite changing when you open the menu or go into battle.
maybe this will help:
- Another glitch present in others ROM hacks, sometimes after win a battle between a trainer or a wild pokemon, you just take control of a npc and can only move in a few directions (many you're even invisible) and the only solution is to Fly/Teleport/Dig/Escape rope if possible.
Sorry about those annoying bugs, they happened to us a lot while we were testing it, and we had to delete the trainers that really give the player a problem. Unfortunately this bug is unfixable, so yeah, it's good to use fly and save often.
Bacially, this is THE main bug in the hack. This was serious problem, but we are unsure of how to fix it. Hopefully it will be less present in Lance Adventures.
Thanks again for your interst in this hack.
Stay alert for any information on Septo Conquest, especially as we have something BIG (and we mean BIG) planned for the near future.

wen u beat baron charlie it says u recieved a badge from brock

umm i found a glitch in this game
ok, after you've beaten the team vine leader for the first time and gotten the silph scope if you go to the elevator and go to the first floor exit the elevator and go to a part of the screen where you see a team vine grunt beyond the wall, open your bag, then exit it,you will start playing as the person beyond the wall, only it will look like your character and if you look at your pokemon and exit while this glitch is happening, it will look exactly like your character, if i knew how to put screenshots on, i would but i dont so i wont
another glitch i found was in the water south of rikku city, if i am surfing on the left hand side of the waterfall i can surf up the side of it,my guess is its a tilemap glitch and you put the movement per mission tiles in the wrong place
oh, also, how do i get to necron city?

A wizard did it. (Though it is probably a movement permission error, but a wizard sounds a lot cooler.)

The first Baron is located in Amarant fortress. The Lair should be at the Top of the map, inside the Big and Impressive building.

chris646, the first Dictator is located on Route 2C. Fly to Balthier Rocks, head south to Route 2C and surf downwards. On the left is an ominous building, head in there. Bring some high levelled pokemon to fight the bosses and your thinking cap to solve the ludicrous puzzle me and that foolish fool of a fool andyp159 craftily designed.

Hello fellow internet-goers!
Here is the BIG news (drum roll):
Basically, me and that punkass Magneto20 are working on a Christmas-themed mini-hack called Christmas Capers in Septo!
It's basically a short sequel and takes place one year after the events of Septo Conquest. A new area has opened up in the north-east, and the player explores it. However, his pokemon get stolen, so Lance gives him a replacement and you begin a quest to regain your pokemon.
The maps that are confirmed to be in CCiS are as follows:
- Lenna Retreat
- Mt. Cassius (inside, several areas)
- Mt. Cassius (outside, one area)
- Rikku Village
- Route 6A
- Necron City
- Harkness City
- Route 2C
- The Dictator's old lair, which is now houses three mysterious people who will be appearing in Lance Adventures...
There is a possibility of including Garnet Town, Serenity Lake and Palom Town from Lance Adventures if we get time at the end.
Christmas Capers in Septo links Septo Conquest and Lance Adventures.
There will be a thread of Christmas Capers in Septo soon.

You get the running shoes in Amarant Fortress after beating Baron Charlie. And Charmander CAN be caught, but it takes a LOT of poke balls. (I think it took AndyP159 about 18 poke balls when he was testing it. Then again he does suck, but that's besides the point).

In direct response: did you patch our game over Shiny Gold? That would be the issue.
Also, which download did you choose, as maybe you chose an older version. Make sure you have the most up to date version. Also, perhaps your LunarIPS is making the ROM corrupt - maybe download another one from the toolbox and try that. If none of that works, maybe you are using a different ROM - i.e. another language, country, as they are all slightly different. Perhaps run a google search and try to find another clean ROM. I can quite assure you that this is not a problem that others have encountered, so we are 99% sure that the download is correct and fine, with as few glitches as possible.
We are sorry you are experiencing this and hope this rectifies the problem. If it does not, PM me or Magneto20 for some more help.
