Special Person

[Ichi-chan]

Just a poem I wrote for my mom on her birthday... I usually draw something for her on her birthday but this year I wanted to do something different. In some random honor of poetry month I guess. I warn you - I'm no poet. xD But my mom and my family loved it so I wanted to share. Please don't be so harsh. ^^;

Special Person

There is a really special person I know
She’s very caring and kind
To think of someone who loves me so
She is one of the people that comes to mind

She tells me what is right
And she tells me what is wrong
Whenever in doubt and there’s not answer in sight
She always helps me stay strong

Making jello and burning candles
Watching baseball and gardening too
Spending summertime in seashell sandals
Are some of the many things she likes to do

She lets me stay up late–
She really is da bomb!
I guess now anyone can relate
That special person is my mom!
