Weird that considering how many people enjoy being on the dark side this hack hasnt been noticed around here. Oh well, at least it's good to know of another finished hack.

I guess I'll take a look at it when I have some time, although I'm not of the TR-followers, and spriting and mapping are not too impressive. However, probably that will be replaced with tons of fun and new stuff to do. I'll give a better opinion once I try it.

im playing pokemon topaz and it's great! the only negative part is that the fakemon are annoying. I really think that it would've been better with the regular pokemon. This is most likely because when i meet them in the wild, i have no idea what type they are.

OK, finally managed to get past the intro (I think it was my ROM rather than the patch, I've since obtained a working ROM), but i tried to choose a starter and the colours turned effectively negative, and the game froze.

you have to go to bazzas Topaz website and get the fully functional ROM from there, the ips patch doesnt full work......read bazzas first post and he will tell you that


BTW i have played up to getting "rock smash" and i have to say this is a pretty impressive hack, especialy since its complete

and i have to report a glich....every once in a while after a battle or something the game spirite turns kind of red and sticks to the far left of the screen and wont turn back to normal untill i enter a PokeCenter ect.

I had the same problem, wolfmother. I don't think there is a way to fix it so I would just use Walk Through Walls, thats what I did.

Ok people since we cant learn to read than i am going to have to explain it...the ips patch DOES PATCH THE ROM FULLY you can try a bajillion roms wether they be clean, dirty, sparkled whatever...you have to go to bazzas freewebsite and ge the full rom there...thats why the intro doesnt work and the starter chooser screen freezes...the whole topaz game takes a lot of memory so the ips cannot patch a ruby rom fully...you need the rom that bazza gives out...since we cannot give direct links to sites conntaining roms, you will just have to use our cunnning expertice(if you have it)
to find bazzas site...

I played it all the way to the end, and the story events look complete...but as with every hack there still are a few errors

one i can think of is after a battle your sprite stays stuck at the top of the screen and you can only move in certain directions so you have to enter a building or fly somewhere to un-glitch it

I would absolutely LOVE this game if it weren't for the fakemon. It's not that they're not cool, I just love the original pokemon and I think it would be even more realistic if they were still there. Could you maybe put up an alternate version without the fakemon? If you did this would definitely be one of, if not my favorite pokemon hack of all time!

The game rocks but i want to tell you about a strange glitch:
I downloaded the rom from the website it was working well until i saved and reopened the game..i was
at the point that am a little above the cycle road (i dont have a bike yet) and i had a double battle and closed the game.when i opened the game the character switched with another character that was on the same area as mine and the screen was "a little down" (it didnt show all the things) and when i talked to the character that i was before he didnt talk-of course.The screen went normal when i got to the hospital..But when i reached the same area that my character was before then he stopped and i was walking invisible and stuck between walls that didnt exist

Yes this happens alot in some hacks, i think some data was overwritten somewhere...

But all you have to do is enter a building to fix it, and you may have to have the Walk through walls cheat handy.

FR and Ruby OW sprites can be mixed.

As long as the Ruby OW's palettes don't get messed up.

All is great but you ruined it with the own created pokemons.
