Nope. It's not that hard. If you are skillful or intelligent you can even beat it. If you pick a starter that is water-type Pokemon it can even beat just by Lvl. 13 or 15. Just look at the weakness.

??? is a curse type Pokemon. There's even a Glitch type Pokemon. Just search at Bulbapedia. I'm just trying to be creative though.

??? is a curse type Pokemon. There's even a Glitch type Pokemon. Just search at Bulbapedia. I'm just trying to be creative though.

But that would also involve several other types of pokemon, other than ghost, that can learn curse if that's what you are trying to do. Bah, doesn't really bother me though, it was just weird seeing two trainers with the same type of pokemon. Just curious

[LOL, Who says gym leaders can't have legendaries huh?]

I do. Because it's stupid. Since in the game they all should be unique.

Besides Falkner, the first gym is always a Rock Type gym. Roark, Roxanne, and Brock are all of the Rock type. The next gym is almost always a type that beats the previous gym. For example:

Brock - Rock
Misty - Water [Supereffective on Rock]
Lt. Surge - Electric [Supereffective on Water]
Erica - Grass [Electric types - not very effective]
Koga - Poison [Supereffective on Grass]
Sabrina - Psychic [Supereffective on Poison]
Blaine - Fire [No true connection with Psychic, but meh.]
Giovanni - Ground [Supereffective on Fire]

With that, I can say that there is a pattern on how the gym leaders are positioned.
