Story!
You start the game as pokemon champion Ash Ketchum in your hometown of Pallet, were the brand new harbour has just been finished building. You decide to be one of the first to board, so you pack up your stuff. Prof Oak find you to tell you your Pikachu had an egg! It hatched not long after it was layed, you take the baby Pichu and travel to the Johto region. This is were the journey begins!

Your maps do not suck, they are really cool. I like the way you added the Port, however, maybe you should look at adding a top connection but put guards or something who say you are not allowed in to Route 1.

Ok, I've got quite alot scripted so far.. I've scripted the mom event, I've scripted an excuse for not letting you out of Pallet town (:P) and I've scripted speech for all the 2 pedestrians xD
I'm gonna edit Oak's lab a touch, and then script it. Then I have the boat to map, only small though, and script. Small event is gonna happen on the boat, nothin' majour though. Then I'm gonna map New Bark town, script it all from zip (scratch, nothing, nadda) Then..! If all goes according to plan, release a Pre-Beta! :D

EDIT: Finished best part of the Oak scripting. Just one trouble.. he wont give you the pokemon. I'll get around it though, Heaps of screens for you guys!

Ok, I've just finished my very first yes/no script, AND IT WENT WELL!! I've completely finished in Pallet for now, until more events need scripted in. I've mapped the Ship, it's only 1 floor with a few rooms, to train in. Need to script the ship.. then get a start on New Bark town. Then a Pre-Beta for you guys!

Here's the new Ash and Gold. They were both a ***** to get in.. Had to copy them of a pic on OW editer -_- some of the colors may look of, but meh. I like um, creds to cloud for making originals.

Pfft yeah, you'll get a new set of screens when I finish the boat, and script it. Then some more on New Bark events, and when New Bark's completly finnished you get your pre-beta :D
I'm planning on getting this pre-beta out with in the next 2 days, maybe 3. Don't take me as giving dates >_> This is just an estimate.

Ok, New Bark's been mapped, and so has the water-y route to the right of New Bark and a harbour has been added. I've scripted the ship event, Everythings scripted UNTILL New Bark, I haven't start on New Bark yet. I still need to do some trainer inserts for the boat, get some training :P
So before I get to work on New Bark I'm gonna insert the trainer battles. Expect a pre-beta today! :D

Ok, before somebody says, YES I KNOW THERES A TILE ERROR ON THE PATH, And yes theres a weird letter before "Ahoy" I know how to fix this, I'm just lazy :P. This is why I need a tile maker+inserter. Cuz I suck at that. Also, kinda at a stuck point.. the script for the event in New Bark involved a movesprite command, wich.. didn't move the sprite, or start the script.. -_- So basicly, anybody who has experiance with movesprite scripts, gimme a buzz. 'till then, the hacks kinda on hold.. I'll script the rest, but no more out of New Bark. :D

A little bit of news. The Pre-Beta, isn't gonna be a pre-beta. It's very very short, so I've decided to just release it as a VERY small preveiw. Theres a few small bugs to fix.. then I'll post it, any other bugs that I don't fix. I do know about, so don't bother :P

Another announcement, Horus (cretor of Pokemon Waterfall) is now the co-owner of this hack. He will be looking after this thread, and adding to the hack while I'm gone. Wich brings me to my next point, I'm leaving for my dads in a few hours. I'll be back on Saturday. So yeah, new co-owner: Horus ;)

Not all the maps will be the same, you will be able to visit best part of Johto (maybe all of it) but there will be new places implemented into the game, lot's of side-quests on the way aswell ;)

If you pick the girl player, you'll obtain the pokemon Cyndaquil from Elm.
If you pick the boy player, you'll obtain the pokemon Totodile from Elm.

I can say, I've just about scripted the New Bark events other houses and such I still need to add speech in.

Don't be so hasty, my friend, if you're going to make everything as quick as possible, and just make a very short pre-alpha/alpha/beta,people are getting bored easy. make the first beta some longer if you like.
Otherwise people are going to under-appreciate your work, and that's a bad thing!
